Bombshell Exclusive: Soros Mole Fiona Hill Is Second White House Whistleblower

The so-called Firsthand knowledge Whistleblower lying about President Trump, was a Soros operative that worked at the NSA and was an Advisor to former National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster. The exposed Whistleblower is Fiona Hill. The difficulty is Alex Jones and InfoWars has broken the story. I am not an Alex Jones fan because he mixes the outlandish with the factual. Ergo when nothing but the facts-Jack time arrives the Alex Jones outlandish taints the facts. SO WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE ALEX JONES BREAKING THE STORY?

I can hear Shifty Schiff pooh-poohing the Whistleblower identity now even as he shiftily tries to hide another lying Lefty accuser of President Trump. AND THEN … it all comes out the Whistleblower is Fiona Hill and Schiff looks shiftier than ever and outlandish Jones’ legend grows among his naive acolytes.

At any rate I’m cross posting the Ares & Athena post of InfoWars breaking news. You can use the Ares & Athena links to InfoWars to watch the videos showing nefarious Fiona Hill, the Soros agent tool against Making America Great Again.

Bombshell Exclusive: Soros Mole Fiona Hill Is Second White House Whistleblower

Fiona Hill – Soros Mole

Ares and Athena

By Jamie WhiteInfoWars

October 12, 2019

Now we know why Google and YouTube worked so hard to erase this video off the web and hide the links!

The second White House whistleblower in the Democrats’ Ukraine witch hunt is none other than George Soros operative Fiona Hill, Infowars has learned.

Infowars was contacted by sources close to the president confirming our suspicions that Fiona Hill is definitely one of the so-called White House whistleblowers involved in the current Ukraine witch hunt against President Trump.

Infowars first reported that Hill worked as a mole for Soros when Trump confidante Roger Stone broke the bombshell in May 2017, revealing that Hill was serving as Soros’ mole under the supervision of former NSA adviser H.R. McMaster.

The video below shows Trump confidante Roger Stone in July 2017 warning that he was told he would be “targeted for annihilation” by the FBI for exposing the mole.

Stone was raided by the FBI and arrested in January.

Additionally, this bombshell also helps explain why researcher and frequent Infowars guest Ted Malloch was detained by the FBI during the Russia “collusion” witch hunt in 2018.

This is exactly why Google expunged the search results of these original Infowars videos everywhere — they don’t want the American people to know that Hill is a partisan Soros operative working against Trump.

Notice that the original Infowars videos from 2017 have since been removed from YouTube.

Further research shows that search results for these videos have been de-indexed – where you’re unable to find results using the exact headlines – in YouTube or Google.

But using the Bing search engine, we were able to find these critical videos from patriotic individuals who actually uploaded them.

This proves that searching for these critical videos on Google or YouTube is actually physically impossible to find where they are still posted, showing premeditated action by Big Tech to censor these bombshell revelations.

This, along with Stone’s arrest, shows premeditation by Big Tech and the Deep State to punish individuals who expose corruption and prevent the story from spreading.

It also explains why Democrats have been trying to hide the identity of the whistleblowers — because Hill is in fact a partisan political operative and a Soros-backed mole.

Hill, who left the NSC last summer, is set to testify before Congress next week, where she’ll claim that Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani and EU Ambassdaor [sic] Gordon Sondland improperly informed Trump about certain matters in Ukraine.

“Hill plans to say that Giuliani and Sondland side-stepped the proper process for accessing Trump on Ukraine issues, the person familiar with her expected testimony said, including circumventing John Bolton, who was Trump’s national security adviser until September,” NBC reported Friday.

You’re probably asking, how is Hill the obvious whistleblower but also testifying before Congress?

From Alex Jones:

“That’s the way these corrupt spy operations work. It’s called parallel construction. What they’re doing is illegal. They’ll be the anonymous tipper themselves or the anonymous whistleblower and then use those protections to keep their anonymity. Then they’ll trigger the fake investigation and then be called as a witness because they’re considered a person of knowledge by the committee run by the corrupt Adam Schiff who helped concoct the entire scheme in the beginning.”

“That’s the big sick joke, is they’re talking about, ‘Oh no! Nobody can see the whistleblower, we’ve got to protect them.’ Because whoever that person is has already been caught lying, as the transcript shows. So they put out the initial lie, and then move on to these witnesses who can then ‘corroborate’ with the whistleblowers.”

Alex Jones analyzes the fallout of Rudy Giuliani publicly announcing that top Dem criminals will be exposed within weeks.

The Original Post    contains several videos, some with Alex Jones, who admittedly gets bombastic, but he gets it right here.

Crazy Dems

In order of my personal viewing of Fox News I have watched Pelosi, Al Green, Schumer & Schiff proclaim in news conferences  that President Trump violated his oath of Office by contacting Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate a Biden corruption connection. BY THE WAY if you read the now released transcript of the conversation, Trump was speaking about Hunter Biden and Sleepy Joe ACTUAL quid pro quo.  (SEE ALSO HERE)

Sleepy Creepy Joe, the Dems and many globalist Europeans then VP Biden got Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin fired because he was corrupt. BUT look at the European globalists that accused Shokin of corruption. Those globalist so-called anti-corruption organizations were closely affiliated with George Soros and Barack Obama. Hmm… American Dem plus Left-Wing globalist equals EVIL.

Ukraine’s current Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko claims there is no evidence corruption by the Biden Father/Son and Burisma that fired Shokin WAS going to investigate. BUT WAIT, in the transcript between Trump and anti-corruption Ukraine President Zelensky says since his political party now dominates the Ukrainian a Prosecutor General will be appointed that will fight corruption conforming to Zelensky’s agenda. What does that tell you about Yuriy Lutsenko? Excerpt from the transcript cross posted below (bold text mine):

President Zelenskyy: Well yes, to tell you the truth, we are trying to work hard because we wanted to drain the swamp here in our country. We brought in many many new people. Not the old politicians, not the typical politicians, because we want to have a new format and a new type of government. You are a great teacher for us and in that.

President Zelenskyy: I wanted to tell you about the prosecutor. First of all I understand and I’m knowledgeable about the situation. Since we have won the absolute majority in our Parliament, the next prosecutor general will be 100% my person, my candidate, who will be approved by the parliament and will start as a new prosecutor in September. He or she will look into the situation, specifically to the company that you mentioned in this issue. …

The Dems know if Hunter is looked at, Sleepy Joe will be caught. And if Sleepy Joe is caught, the can of worms becomes fully open more than likely leading to corruptocrat Ukrainians involved with Crooked Hillary and Deep State Obama. Ultimately leading to the prosecution of most of the corrupt (or is it treasonous?) Dem hierarchy.

Now let’s take a look at that transcript (Trump’s Ukraine call transcript via SCRIBD downloaded as PDF then converted to Word document then copy & pasted here):

MEMORANDUM OF TELEPHONE CONVERSATION

SUBJECT:

Telephone Conversation with President

Zelenskyy of Ukraine

PARTICIPANTS:              President Zelenskyy of Ukraine

Notetakers:             The White House Situation Room

DATE, TIME

AND PLACE:

July 25, 2019, 9:03 – 9:33 a.m. EDT

Residence

The President: Congratulations on a great victory. We all watched from the United States and you did a terrific job. The way you came from behind, somebody who wasn’t given much of a chance, and you ended up winning easily. It’s a fantastic achievement. Congratulations.

President Zelenskyy: You are absolutely right Mr.

President. We did win big and we worked hard for this. We worked a lot but I would like to confess to you that I had an opportunity to learn from you. We used quite a few of your skills and knowledge and were able to use it as an example for our elections and yes it is true that these were unique elections. We were in a unique situation that we were able to achieve a unique success. I’m able to tell you the following; the first time, you called me to congratulate me when I won my presidential election, and the second time you are now calling me when my party won the parliamentary election. I think I should run more often so you can call me more often and we can talk over the phone more often.

CAUTION: A Memorandum of a Telephone Conversation (TELCON) is not a verbatim transcript of a discussion. The text in this document records the notes and recollections of Situation Room Duty Officers and NSC policy staff assigned to listen and memorialize the conversation in written form as the conversation takes place. A number of factors can affect the accuracy of the record, including poor telecommunications connections and variations in accent and/or interpretation. The word “inaudible” is used to indicate portions of a conversation that the notetaker was unable to hear.

The President: [laughter] That’s a very good idea. I think your country is very happy about that.

The President: Well it’s very nice of you to say that. I will say that we do a lot for Ukraine. We spend a lot of effort and a lot of time. Much more than the European countries are doing and they should be helping you more than they are. Germany does almost nothing for you. All they do is talk and I think it’s something that you should really ask them about. When I was speaking to Angela Merkel she talks Ukraine, but she doesn’t do anything. A lot of the European countries are the same way so I think it’s something you want to look at but the United States has been very very good to Ukraine. I wouldn’t say that it’s reciprocal necessarily because things are happening that are not good but the United States has been very very good to Ukraine.

President Zelenskyy: Yes you are absolutely right. Not only 100%, but actually 1000% and I can tell you the following; I did talk to Angela Merkel and I did meet with her. I also met and talked with Macron and I told them that they are not doing quite as much as they need to be doing on the issues with the sanctions. They are not enforcing the sanctions. They are not working as much as they should work for Ukraine. It turns out that even though logically, the European Union should be our biggest partner but technically the United States is a much bigger partner than the European Union and I’m very grateful to you for that because the United States is doing quite a lot for Ukraine. Much more than the European Union especially when we are talking about sanctions against the Russian Federation. I would also like to thank you for your great support in the area of defense. We are ready to continue to cooperate for the next steps specifically we are almost ready to buy more Javelins from the United States for defense purposes.

The President: I would like you to do us a favor though because our country has been through a lot and Ukraine knows a lot about it. I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine, they say Crowdstrike… I guess you have one of your wealthy people.: The server, they say Ukraine has it. There are a lot of things that went on, the whole situation. I think you’re surrounding yourself with some of the same people. I would like to have the Attorney General call you or your people and I would like you to get to the bottom of it. As you saw yesterday, that whole nonsense ended with a very poor performance by a man named Robert Mueller, an incompetent performance, but they say a lot of it started with Ukraine. Whatever you can do, it’s very important that you do it if that’s possible.

President Zelenskyy: Yes it is very important for me and everything that you just mentioned earlier. For me as a President, it is very important and we are open for any future cooperation. We are ready to open a new page on cooperation in relations between the United States and Ukraine. For that purpose, I just recalled our ambassador from United States and he will be replaced by a very competent and very experienced ambassador who will work hard on making sure that our two nations are getting closer. I would also like and hope to see him having your trust and your confidence and have personal relations with you so we can cooperate even more so. I will personally tell you that one of my assistants spoke with Mr.

Giuliani just recently and we are hoping very much that Mr. Giuliani will be able to travel to Ukraine and we will meet once he comes to Ukraine. I just wanted to assure you once again that you have nobody but friends around us. I will make sure that I surround myself with the best and most experienced people. I also wanted to tell you that we are friends. We are great friends and you Mr. President have friends in our country so we can continue our strategic partnership. I also plan to surround myself with great people and in addition to that investigation, I guarantee as the President of Ukraine that all the investigations will be done openly and candidly. That I can assure you.

The President: Good because I heard you had a prosecutor who was very good and he was shut down and that’s really unfair. A lot of people are talking about that, the way they shut your very good prosecutor down and you had some very bad people involved. Mr. Giuliani is a highly respected man. He was the mayor of New York City, a great mayor, and I would like him to call you. I will ask him to call you along with the Attorney General. Rudy very much knows what’s happening and he is a very capable guy. If you could speak to him that would be great. The former ambassador from the United States, the woman, was bad news and the people she was dealing with in the Ukraine were bad news so I just want to let you know that. The other thing, There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great.

Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it… It sounds horrible to me.

The issue of the investigation of the case is actually the issue of making sure to restore the honesty so we will take care of that and will work on the investigation of the case. On top of that, I would kindly ask you if you have any additional information that you can provide to us, it would be very helpful for the investigation to make sure that we administer justice in our country with regard to the Ambassador to the United States from Ukraine as far as I recall her name was Ivanovich. It was great that you were the first one who told me that she was a bad ambassador because I agree with you 100%. Her attitude towards me was far from the best as she admired the previous President and she was on his side. She would not accept me as a new President well enough.

The President: Well, she’s going to go through some things. I will have Mr. Giuliani give you a call and I am also going to have Attorney General Barr call and we will get to the bottom of it. I’m sure you will figure it out. I heard the prosecutor was treated very badly and he was a very fair prosecutor so good luck with everything. Your economy is going to get better and better I predict. You have a lot of assets. It’s a great country. I have many Ukrainian friends, their incredible people.

President Zelenskyy: I would like to tell you that I also have quite a few Ukrainian friends that live in the United States. Actually last time I traveled to the United States, I stayed in New York near Central Park and I stayed at the Trump Tower. I will talk to them and I hope to see them again in the future. I also wanted to thank you for your invitation to visit the United States, specifically Washington DC. On the other hand, I also want to ensure you that we will be very serious about the case and will work on the investigation. As to the economy, there is much potential for our two countries and one of the issues that is very important for Ukraine is energy independence. I believe we can be very successful and cooperating on energy independence with United States. We are already working on cooperation. We are buying American oil but I am very hopeful for a future meeting. We will have more time and more opportunities to discuss these opportunities and get to know each other better. I would like to thank you very much for your support

The President: Good.  Well, thank you very much and I appreciate that. I will tell Rudy and Attorney General Barr to call. Thank you. Whenever you would like to come to the White House, feel free to call. Give us a date and we’ll work that out. I look forward to seeing you.

President Zelenskyy: Thank you very much. I would be very happy to come and would be happy to meet with you personally and get to know you better. I am looking forward to our meeting and I also would like to invite you to visit Ukraine and come to the city of Kyiv which is a beautiful city. We have a beautiful country which would welcome you. On the other hand, I believe that on September 1 we will be in Poland and we can meet in Poland hopefully. After that, it might be a very good idea for you to travel to Ukraine. We can either take my plane and go to Ukraine or we can take your plane, which is probably much better than mine.

The President: Okay, we can work that out. I look forward to seeing you in Washington and maybe in Poland because I think we are going to be there at that time.

President Zelenskyy: Thank you very much Mr. President.

the  President: Congratulations on a fantastic job you’ve done. The whole world was watching. I’m not sure it was so much of an upset but congratulations:

President Zelenskyy: Thank you Mr. President bye-bye.

–             End of Conversation

The Dems Pelosi, Green, Schumer & Schiff claim this is the damning evidence President Donald Trump violated his oath of Office. WHAT A BUNCH OF FREAKING LIARS!

The Dems have spent nearly THREE years trying to pitch a document of fiction (Steele Dossier) as fact and fraudulently used the fiction to talk FISC Judges into numerous FISA warrants to spy on President Trump (via campaign involved personnel) before and after his 2016 election.

These same corrupt Dems are twisting a discussion between President Trump and Ukraine’s anti-corruption President Zelensky to look into Biden family corruption as if that was a violation of the Constitution. A Dem wouldn’t know a Constitutional violation if it bit them in the nose. The Dems have spent nearly a half century or more to use a Left-minded judiciary to dilute the original intent of the Founders to transform the rule of law into something the Founding Fathers would NOT recognize.

The ONLY violation President Trump has performed has been to throw a monkey wrench into the machinations to transform America into an Anti-Christian government dominated tyranny. The Dems have been violated by Trump rather than the Constitution!

So what is the Dem Agenda?

RIGHT NOW that agenda has zero to do with legislating the Constitutional needs of WE THE PEOPLE, but rather remove President Trump to prevent that monkey wrench from holding up tyrannical Dem machinations to mold America into Leftist socio-political control of American lives whether they like or it not.

I tell you this. I am a partially disabled person that has a difficult time getting around. BUT IF the Dems succeed in their LIES to remove President Trump from Office, I will exhort and join Americans to hit the streets and Dem operations with a protesting vehemence to make the Boston Tea Party look like teetotaling recreation.

Obama White House Sought Ukraine’s Help In Taking Down Trump: REPORT

The Obama White House brought in Ukrainian authorities to help jumpstart the Russian collusion narrative and to help then-Vice President Joe Biden’s son out of a jam.

John Solomon, an opinion contributor to The Hill, lays out the results of a meeting between Obama White House officials and the Ukrainian authorities. Solomon spoke to multiple participants in the meeting and viewed memos from the time to bring us the story.

“The agenda suggested the purpose was training and coordination. But Ukrainian participants said it didn’t take long — during the meetings and afterward — to realize the Americans’ objectives included two politically hot investigations: one that touched Vice President Joe Biden’s family and … READ THE REST

Borderlands: First Moves in Romania

By George Friedman

MAY 27, 2014 – 03:02

STRATFOR

I arrived in Bucharest, Romania, the day after U.S. Vice President Joe Biden. U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel will be here in a few weeks. The talk in Bucharest, not only among the leadership but also among the public, is about Ukraine. Concerns are palpable, and they are not only about the Russians. They are also about NATO, the European Union, the United States and whether they will all support Romania if it resists Russia. The other side of the equation, of course, is whether Romania will do the things it must do in order to make outside support effective. Biden left Romania with a sense that the United States is in the game. But this is not a region that trusts easily. The first step was easy. The rest become harder.

If this little Cold War becomes significant, there are two European countries that matter the most: Poland and Romania. Poland, which I visit next, stands between Germany and Russia on the long, flat North European plain. Its population is about 38 million people. Romania, to the south, standing behind the Prut River and bisected by the Carpathian Mountains, has a population of about 20 million. Of the roughly 82 million people along the eastern frontier (Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria), approximately 58 million live in Poland and Romania. Biden’s visit to Romania and U.S. President Barack Obama’s planned visit to Poland provide a sense of how Washington looks at the region and, for the moment at least, the world. How all of this plays out is, of course, dependent on the Russians and the course of the Ukrainian crisis.

All Soviet satellites emerged damaged after the collapse of the old order in 1989. Few were as damaged as Romania. In many ways, the damage was self-inflicted: The villain of the piece was a Romanian, Nicolae Ceausescu. Ceausescu followed an anti-Soviet line, staying in the Warsaw Pact but displaying singular hostility to the Soviet Union. I recall Americans being excited about Ceausescu’s Romania since, being anti-Soviet, it was assumed that by definition he had to be pro-American. To America’s amazement, he wasn’t. He wasn’t even pro-Romanian given that he concocted a scheme to pay off all of Romania’s foreign debts by destroying the lives of a generation of Romanians by consigning the vast majority of the country’s agricultural and industrial production to hard currency exports. Beyond that, he created a nightmarish security system that was both corrupt and vicious. The world barely noticed. When the end came, it also came for Ceausescu and his wife, the only Eastern European leaders to be executed (amid intense fighting between factions).

For all that, Romania has done remarkably well. Romania’s unemployment rate is only about 7 percent, which by European standards is remarkably low. Its annual growth rate stands at more than 3 percent, which is conversely high. In talking to Romanians, it is hard to see into their hearts. They seem a gracious and friendly people, with a measure of distrust and a taste for conspiracy no greater than the norm for this region. What is remarkable about the Romanians is that they are unremarkable. They have emerged from a nightmare inflicted by one of their own and have regained their balance.

Ceausescu aside, the nightmare was initiated by the Soviets, who were drawn in by the Germans. This has resulted in a lasting national trait: When the Russians act, it strikes fear deep into the Romanian heart. When the Russians act and the Germans have a hand in the action, the Romanians’ worst nightmare is realized. Their reaction doesn’t manifest itself as with the Poles, who are always committed to the decisive confrontation. Instead, the nightmare scenario elicits a more cautious and sinewy response involving the search for a way both to resist and if necessary to accommodate. Above all, it elicits a search for allies, preferably far enough away not to occupy them and strong enough to offer meaningful support. Obviously, the Americans are tailor-made for this role, so long as they don’t overstep their bounds and generate fears of domination.

The Ukrainian Factor

Events in Ukraine have, of course, set this process in motion. Remarkably, the United States, which remained a bystander other times, has gotten quickly and significantly involved this time around. There is no question in Romania as to the importance of Ukraine to Russia, nor any belief that the Russians will let go of it. My view is that Russia will not let go, but will let things quiet down a bit. The Russian gamble is that no matter what the outcome of Ukraine’s elections, the Ukrainians will be unable to form a coherent government. If that is true, then the Russians can pick the Ukrainians apart over time, returning to the status quo ante. Therefore, the Russians will wait. Time, if this view is correct, is on the Russians’ side.

The Russians do not want to be excessively aggressive for another reason: namely, Germany. The Germans do not want to go beyond occasional rhetoric in confronting Russia. In fact, they don’t want to confront Russia at all. They want to do business with Russia. I heard several times that the Germans have already opted to align themselves with Russia for commercial reasons. In my view, German policy is moving in that direction, but the deal is not yet sealed. In the same way that Russian President Vladimir Putin rushed to China to gain at least the appearance of strategic options, so, too, Putin wants as deep a relationship with Germany as he can get. He will not be excessively and overtly aggressive until and unless he must be. The Germans cannot be seen as simply abandoning their European allies, and Putin cannot put them in that position

.

The Russians want to quiet Ukraine down for another reason. Crises galvanize Americans to act rapidly, and frequently, effectively. Crises that are dying down cause the Americans to pause and consider the direction of events. As Biden’s visit to Romania indicated, Washington moves fast in crisis mode. The Russians can control the tempo of American actions by cooling things down in Ukraine — or so they think. And this is precisely what worries the Romanians. They see themselves as having a long-term Russian problem. At the moment, they are making a large bet that the Americans will follow through on their commitments and interest even as the Russians dial down the immediate crisis.

Fairly or not, the Romanians see the Obama administration as insufficiently engaged and heedless of the dangers the Russians pose. They also see the administration as intensely critical of Romania’s culture of corruption — which the Romanians admit is a problem — but intensely interested in military and political coordination. They understand the United States, which is what worries them. On the one hand, they will be courted intensely by the vice president only to be condemned by the State Department, and expected to expose themselves to Russian retaliation. I tried to explain the complexities of being American. The Romanians’ sympathy was restrained. They think they heard a real commitment from the American side, but they simply don’t know how genuine it is.

In the course of various conversations I tried to explain my view of the situation. The United States has a pattern of engagement in Europe. It postpones intervention to the last moment, builds alliance structures, supports allies with economic and military aid, and then waits until late in the game to intervene, always hoping it won’t have to. Biden’s and Hagel’s visits are part of the process of creating a regional bloc to contain the Russians and to establish a framework for military aid. Intervention comes much later, if ever.

The Romanians are more comfortable with this than the Poles are, who have asked for 10,000 NATO troops on their territory. The Romanians have no such expectations. They are also prepared to increase their defense budget to 2 percent of gross domestic product, which is significant for Europe these days. But they expect the United States to help finance the cost of the weapons they need to purchase. Expecting credit when facing the Russians, however, is no more reasonable than subjecting a country to State Department criticism while the Defense Department is urging risk taking. The Romanians ultimately feel that the U.S. intent isn’t clear.

U.S. Goals

The American intent at this point is to maintain an independent, pro-Western Ukraine. That might simply not be possible. But the problem is that in having this goal, and pursuing it to some effect, the United States has convinced the Russians that it intends to break the Russian Federation by denying it an essential sphere of influence. The Russians have now concluded that whatever happens in this round in Ukraine, this process will not end.

Whatever the American thoughts initially, they are realizing that the Russian threat to Ukraine is permanent, and that whatever happens in Ukraine, it will extend to countries like Romania. And Romania particularly matters to the Russians for two reasons. First, Romania is on the Black Sea, and the Black Sea is Russia’s southern maritime access to the world. That’s why they had to hold Sevastopol, and that’s why Odessa mattered so much. The Russians are aware that they need access to the Bosporus, controlled by the Turks. Still, American aircraft in Romania and Romanian ships in the Black Sea could complicate the Russians’ lives substantially, including their power in the Caucasus, since Georgia is on the Black Sea as well. It should be noted that boosting naval power is on the Romanian-American agenda, and both countries understand the challenge this creates for Russia.

The second challenge is that Romania is potentially capable of producing significant hydrocarbons, including oil. The Russians’ only real card in this game is their energy sales to Europe. If they withhold it, the pressure is enormous and that economic pressure can be converted to political power. Germany’s attitude is influenced by several things, but energy dependence is certainly one of the main ones.

There is no simple energy alternative to Russia, but one can be cobbled together from several sources, if not to replace Russian energy then to mitigate its power. Romania has energy and other resources to contribute to this, and the public statement issued by the United States and Romania included a commitment by Romania to focus on energy production as a critical element of the partnership. This is not as easy as it sounds. Romania has a reputation abroad for enormous complexity and unreliability in its permitting process.

This is another point where Romania’s new strategy intersects with Russian interests. The Romanian view is that the Russians are extending their influence throughout the region, but particularly in Romania. They do it by the traditional means of using their intelligence services to try to manipulate the political process in Romania. As important, they can use commercial relations to weave networks of influence that are designed to make it costly for Romania to resist the Russians. The Russians are particularly adept at using Gazprom, its subsidiaries and other Russian energy companies to purchase and invest in Romanian and regional companies. The deals are never unattractive to either side in business terms, but they also serve to put the Russians in a position to shape both energy policy and political dynamics. This what I call commercial imperialism: the use of deals, particularly in energy, to create blocking points within the political system when Russian interests are threatened. This is not confined to Romania; the Russians use this tool to shape the behavior of other countries. Though certainly far less unpleasant than Soviet occupation, it nevertheless poses a challenge to U.S. influence.

Moldova, Energy and Russian Subtlety

There is another dimension to all of this, namely, Moldova. Moldova is ethnically Romanian but has been dominated by the Soviet Union and before that the Russian Empire. It is a place that survives by its wits and by accommodating Russian influence. It is an important place in the sense that if it were to be occupied by the Russians, Moscow would have access to the Prut River, with only a plain between it and Bucharest. If Moldova were to join Romania, then NATO would be on the Dniester River, less than a hundred miles from Odessa.

But such calculations matter only in wartime, and the Russians are inherently weak. Their single advantage is energy exports, and that advantage depends on the world price of oil, where they make their real profits. They do not control that price and in the future it is possible that the United States, suddenly a massive producer of oil, will be pushing the price downward. If that happens, there is little left for them.

But that won’t happen for a couple of years, if it happens at all. And the full strength of the United States will not be at Romania’s call for a few years, if it does become available. And Romania’s obligation to produce energy won’t manifest itself for a couple of years. So here in southeastern Europe, the Russians have a window of opportunity to create a framework that can withstand the winter that is coming.

They cannot live without Ukraine. They cannot take Romania. With or without the Americans, the Russians aren’t strong enough for that. What they can do is manipulate, subvert, confuse and deflect. They need to undermine the Romanian entente with the United States, and they are skilled at the political maneuvering needed to do that. To many in Romania, Russia is near and strong, America far and indecisive. This was pointed out to me at one meeting. I replied: “In the 20th Century, the United States has won three wars in Europe. How many have the Romanians won?”

The most remarkable thing about Romania and even Europe as a whole is that in spite of the historical reality that the United States wins European wars, there is a view of the United States that it is naive, unfocused and bumbling. This goes beyond this administration to every administration I can recall. And yet, it is the United States that decides the fate of Europe consistently.

The Romanians know this, but they still feel that the Russians are more clever and capable than the United States. I think the reason is that the Russians move with enormous subtlety and complexity. They do this to compensate for their weakness. The United States operates more simply. It can afford to; it is playing from strength. For now, the Romanians accept this, but their acceptance is fragile. It depends on political consistency on the part of the United States, but with great distance come options and the ability to change one’s mind. Romania is here and can’t go elsewhere. It can only change alliances and hope for the best, something both sides need to consider.

NATO Allies Actively Assisting Russian Military? Unacceptable

Russia to Ukraine - Back in USSR toon

Did you know NATO members are making military deals with Russia while that nation’s President Vladimir Putin is slowly carving up Ukraine for the new Russian Empire? In case you are too young let me remind you that NATO was formed after WWII specifically to present a united front against the Russian dominated Soviet Union. That old USSR was really a Communist Empire that incorporated independent nations by force to be under Russian Communist sovereignty. As soon as the Communist system of the Soviet Union collapsed all those former Socialist Republics separated politically from Russia establishing independence as sovereign nations. Ukraine IS one of those nations.

As American voters should we allow our political leaders to continue sharing military whether by sales or donation with a reasserting Russian Empire?

NATO Allies Actively Assisting Russian Military? Unacceptable

By Daniel Kochis

Heritage Foundation – The Foundry

Ukrainian soldiers and police remain willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to fend off Russia’s attempts to take over eastern Ukraine — last week, seven Ukrainian soldiers were killed and another seven wounded when they were ambushed by separatists near Kramatorsk.

But so far, beyond hoping for some kind of face-saving diplomatic solution, U.S. leadership has been nearly nonexistent. In fact, while Russia attempts to carve up Ukraine, some NATO allies continue to assist Russia with weapons sales and logistical support for the Russian navy.

Spain continues to allow Russian naval vessels to use its cities along the coast of North Africa to refuel and resupply. Some of the same Russian navy ships that have docked in Spanish territory have sailed aggressively close to the coasts of other NATO allies, including, most recently, the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, France refuses to halt the sale of two amphibious assault ships to Russia that are capable of holding 16 helicopters, four landing craft, 70 armored vehicles, and 450 troops.

NATO is suffering from a lack of leadership. The United States must recommit itself to transatlantic security and develop realistic policies for U.S.-Russia relations moving forward. Vice President Joe Biden is on a four-day trip to Europe, in which he will visit Romania and Cyprus. On his trip, he must carry two strong messages to our allies in NATO:

o   The United States is wholly committed to the NATO alliance, especially to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of allies in Eastern Europe.

o   NATO member states giving assistance to the Russian military is entirely unacceptable and should be halted immediately.

Deterring Russia’s aggression against NATO allies in Eastern Europe requires a strong, united front. It is past time for our allies in Western Europe to stop assisting the Russian military and to stand in unison against Moscow’s aggression. So far, the Obama administration has failed to show real leadership on the crisis in Ukraine. Convincing our allies to stop supporting the Russian military seems like a good place to start.

Liberate Ukraine

Ukraine-Russia crisis as of 3-5-14

Justin Smith writes about Ukrainian prospects. The Maidan protesters were influential in getting the corrupt Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych kicked out of Office by the Ukrainian Parliament; however Justin indicates Ukrainian voters may face future choices of corrupt candidates for President in the next election. It seems to me Ukrainian voters may have to find a leader from their grassroots able to sway voters. It reminds me of the difficulty among Conservative Republicans being continuously let down by the Republican Establishment.

Liberate Ukraine

By Justin O. Smith

Sent: 3/8/2014 10:38 PM

The protesters in Independence Square have suffered a long train of abuses and usurpations from a succession of presumably democratically elected governments that consistently have sunk into the depths of corruption and arbitrary, illegal and despotic actions, forcing the people to oppose them and unify for the salvation of Ukraine. They did not initially ask for President Viktor Yanukovych’s removal, only that he honor the European Union – Ukraine Association Agreement. But, several hundred wounded and over eighty dead, at Yanukovych’s orders and Putin’s direction changed everything and created a call for new Guards, which is any freedom-loving people’s right.

The ouster of Yanukovych from office by the Ukrainian Parliament was no more a coup than was U.S. President Richard Nixon’s resignation over Watergate. Yanukovych was abandoned by his own Regions Party and accused of embezzling $40 billion over three years and betraying Ukraine. Assertions by Russian media and Putin that this was a “fascist coup” are outright Stalinist propaganda tactics, and pundits, such as Phil Valentine (Cumulus Radio), repeatedly calling this a “coup” are ignorant of the East-West dynamics, the ongoing trade war between the EU and Russia, and parliamentary procedures and “votes of no confidence.”

For months the protesters of Maidan held Berkut anti-riot police at bay, as they were injured and killed. They treated their wounded, prayed over their dead, and they fought for their right to form a new state governed, hopefully, by moral leaders, free from corruption. And now, they have been stunned by a new sense of betrayal, a new group of oligarchs, driving Mercedes and BMWs, form the interim government in the name of Ukraine’s people.

Betrayals came one after another, once Yanukovych appeared in Russia. Putin violated several international treaties by invading Crimea, as the European Union ringed their collective hands over Putin’s threats to raise gas prices from Gazprom, and Obama frantically floundered around the U.S.-Russian “reset button”, giving empty lip-service to sanctions no one will honor; don’t look for Russia’s removal from the G-8 either, since Chancellor Angela Merkel is pursuing angles for Germany during this internationally clustered imbroglio.

Ukrainians have long sought closer ties with the EU and the U.S. and their markedly freer cultures and political systems, not Putin and Russia. Five-hundred thousand dollars have gone towards this goal annually, since 2011, through the U.S. Agency for International Development [USAID], because many influential Ukrainians, such as Vitali Klitshko – member of Ukraine Parliament, feared Yanukovych’s growing subservience to Putin; Putin’s $15 billion bribe was intended to coax Ukraine into his Eurasian Union, and, in appealing to Yanukovych’s corrupt nature, it effectively sabotaged the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement: So, an East-West confrontation emerged, which is based on Putin’s desire to keep Russian hegemony in the region and enhance his own power.

The new interim President of Ukraine, Oleksandr Tuchynov, is a Baptist pastor and the one time head of the SBU (Ukraine’s secret service), which was essentially an extension of the KGB during the old USSR days. He is also Yulia Tymoshenko’s right hand man, and while she holds no official post in the new government, she is directing government affairs through him.

Elections are scheduled for May throughout Ukraine, and should Tymoshenko get elected, it will signal the continued reign of oligarchs and communists, along the lines of Leonid Kuchma, Ukrainian president (1994-2005), who ordered the murder of journalist Georgiy Gongadze in 2000. Many of Tymoshenko’s countrymen refer to her, as “Putin in a skirt.”

A separate referendum is being called for in Crimea in order to decide if Crimea stays with Ukraine or joins Russia. Even though Putin stated he would ensure Ukraine’s territorial integrity last month, he has exacerbated the situation, and he is using this as leverage against the interim government in Kiev, because he can. And, he can because Obama has failed to offer global leadership and clarity of vision, offering in its stead meaningless warnings and weak statements that invited this aggression.

Currently, even if some older ethnic Russian pensioners, the old communist apparatchiks, want to return Crimea to the Russian state, the majority of the Russian-speaking easterners __ Russo-sympathetic __ are not so indoctrinated by Russian propaganda that they would accept slavery in Putin’s totalitarian state over membership in NATO or the EU. At different times during recent history, Crimea has voted to be independent of the Soviet Union (December 1991) and Ukraine (May 1992-rescinded then reconsidered 1994), so Crimea will do what it will. But, all the signatories of the 1975 (non-intervention) Helsinki Final Act and the Budapest Memorandum, which includes the U.S. and the Soviet Union (Russia affirmed 1994) assured Ukraine’s security and territorial integrity.

To imagine Germany today occupying western Poland under a pretext of protecting ethnic Germans living there conveys a strong analogy of the historical offense Putin committed against Ukraine, and it explains the fear that many other nations with Russian minorities and dire memories of Moscow are now experiencing.

George W. Bush attempted to gain NATO membership for both Georgia and Ukraine in 2008, but Europe refused their membership out of fear of Russia’s reaction, and four months later Putin entered Ossetia, claiming then, as now, that he was protecting ethnic Russians. This precise sort of weakness and policy must be rejected by both Europe and future U.S. administrations, not in favor of war but in the name of peace.

If Europe and the U.S. do not help Ukraine resist Russia successfully, who is next? Belarus? Poland?

On March 1, 2014, Jim DeMint, former U.S. Senator from South Carolina, said, “The Ukrainians who rose to demand freedom need to be comforted by our words and intentions, and the thugs in the Kremlin need to fear them” (Heritage Foundation).

Obama will likely not negotiate this crisis well, and this will be a severe geopolitical blow to the U.S., in many respects, and those patriotic activists in Maidan and across Ukraine, who understand that democratic Ukraine is on the frontline of the struggle against authoritarianism. Let us resolve, despite Obama, to see Ukraine enter the EU and NATO under the next administration, if that is truly their desire. Let us immediately erect a tactical nuclear shield, across the European fault lines and aimed directly at Moscow, as was planned for by Ronald Reagan, and only then worry with making Putin pay an economic price. Let us move forward unwilling to permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this nation has always been committed and more determined than ever to not tempt our adversaries with weakness, as we prevent one tyranny, once removed, from being replaced by a far more iron tyranny.

Exposing the Exposé on ‘I am a Ukrainian’

THIS IS NOT A SCAM

THIS IS NOT A SCAM

John R. Houk

© March 6, 2014

On March 1st I posted the video “I am a Ukrainian” on my blogs. The video was actually posted circa February 10, 2014. The video is a close-up of a Ukrainian gal that is pleasant on the eyes sharing with the world her feelings on the corruption that has existed in Ukraine with its government and as such is the reason for Ukrainians to flow to a public square – Maidan – in Kiev. The gal is identified only as Yulia and she implores for the video to go viral in the USA for Americans to write their Congressmen to show support for Ukraine. This all happened before Russia invaded the Crimea (Western) portion of Ukraine. I was glad to participate with many others to have the video go viral. I might add that Yulia asks for NO money.

In the comment section of this video a Google+ friend – Black Bear – left this comment on my SlantRight 2.0 blog:

Good find. It was exposed as some kind of scum:  http://youtu.be/-OBeYg8KdtY

I was a bit disturbed about someone calling the “I am a Ukrainian” video scum.  In hindsight I think Black Bear’s comment was something we all do; i.e. comment quickly without checking our spelling.  I suspect “scum” was supposed to be “scam”. So I clicked the Youtube link which took me to a Prison Planet/Infowars produced video:

VIDEO: ‘I am a Ukrainian’ Video Exposed As Kony-Style Scam

Published by PrisonPlanetLive

Published on February 20, 2014

The video is meant to push the idea that the Ukrainian revolt is grass roots, but its origins can be traced back to the U.S. State Department.

Original ‘I am a Ukrainian’ video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hvds2A…

FULL STORY with links and documentation: http://www.infowars.com/exposed-ukrai…

NEW VIDEO: Hidden Motives Behind the Ukraine-Russia Conflict –https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFpKw…

I hadn’t actually clicked the “FULL STORY” link as yet. From memory I noted that the narration indicated this was a one-sided propaganda produced by the U.S. State Department through Larry Diamond a political promoter of Democratic initiatives globally (á la association to Jimmy Carter influenced NGOs). I was more disturbed so I wrote Justin Smith who gave me the hat tip to the video and who I also had previously posted an essay based on interviews with Ukrainian activists. I had queried if he knew anything about accusations that “I am a Ukrainian” is a hoax. He responded:

This is indeed a powerful statement. But, unbelievably, I’ve been catch ‘in a little heat from some of my friends, who have mistakenly taken my support for these Ukrainian activists as support of the UN, EU and IMF, which nothing could be farther from the truth.

Support of the Ukrainian protesters is supporting a government that will hopefully turn away from the corruption of past Ukrainian governments. I don’t necessarily think a strong tie of any sort with the EU is in the best interest of Ukraine at the moment, and like I’ve told them….nothing is in concrete at the moment.

A similar deal fell through last year, because the details could not be agreed upon with the IMF. But really, al the Ukraine should be looking for at the moment is a short term arrangement with very limited requirements from them in the future, and nothing that will further damage their sovereignty.

If they can really move away from corrupt leadership, that in and of itself will work wonders for their economy, inasmuch as, so much of the national treasury will not be stolen in the manner in which Vanukovych walked away with $40 million. Then the rest, while not easy, will be less difficult as they revamp business and government practices so that the nation and every individual is able to thrive…

In the end, a limited relationship with the EU, that draws Ukraine closer to the West, is more desired, than watching Ukraine pulled back into a Soviet-style sphere under Putin’s proposed Eurasian Union (EAU)… (Justin Smith via email circa 3/1/14)

In other words I believe Justin knew nothing of any hoax but knows the situation is critical for the rule of law and Liberty in Ukraine.

Exposed: Ukrainian ‘Protesters’ Backed by Kony 2012-Style Scam

By Paul Joseph Watson

February 20, 2014

Infowars.com

As they seize weapons, take over government buildings and fire on media outlets, the US-backed Ukrainian protesters are being afforded legitimacy with the aid of a Kony 2012-style viral video which triumphs the grass roots nature of the demonstrations yet is linked to shadowy NGOs that have been directly involved in staging phony ‘color revolutions’ in the past.

Infowars Link to ‘I am a Ukrainian

The video, entitled I am a Ukrainian, already has over 3 million views. It features an attractive woman insistently claiming that the Ukrainian uprising is solely about freedom and democracy.

The video is typically glib and simplified emotional propaganda which purports to explain that “there is only one reason” behind the protests in Ukraine, a bald faced lie which ignores the multi-faceted geopolitical factors behind the uprising, which center on the tug of war between the United States, the EU and Russia.

The woman encourages viewers to “help us only by telling this story….only by sharing this video,” thereby framing the debate around the naive narrative that the crisis is solely about Ukrainians wanting “freedom,” and in essence blacklisting the real reasons behind the western-instigated revolt, which focus on the geopolitical isolation of Russia.

The origins of the video are not quite as ‘grass roots’ as is portrayed. The clip was produced by the team behind A Whisper to a Roar, a documentary about the “fight for democracy” all over the world, which was funded by Prince Moulay Hicham of Morocco. The “inspiration” behind the documentary was none other than Larry Diamond, a Council on Foreign Relations member. The Council on Foreign Relations is considered to be America’s “most influential foreign-policy think tank” and has deep connections with the U.S. State Department.

Diamond has also worked closely with the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The National Endowment for Democracy is considered to be the CIA’s “civilian arm” and has been deeply embroiled in innumerable instigated uprisings, attempted coups and acts of neo-colonial regime change since its creation in 1983, including the contrived 2004 “Orange Revolution” that brought US puppet Viktor Yushchenko to power in Ukraine.

Larry Diamond also played an instrumental role in the Arab Spring under the auspices of the NED, a series of supposedly grass roots revolts that were in fact organized and managed by some of the most powerful western institutions on the planet.

Diamond’s connection to the viral “I am a Ukrainian” video clearly suggests that the clip is a crude effort to convince an unthinking public that the Ukrainian uprising is completely organic and is not being instigated by western powers, when the opposite is in fact the case. The clip is reminiscent of the Kony 2012 scam, where a viral video utilized simplified propaganda and emotional manipulation to convince millions of people of the necessity of U.S. military involvement in Africa.

In a Huffington Post interview, the creator of the video admits that he was in Ukraine “preparing a film on democracy” before the protests even started.

Providing absolute confirmation that the video is a carefully thought out public relations stunt, the woman in the video was immediately invited to appear on CNN with Anderson Cooper in a segment that will be broadcast tonight. Cooper and CNN aggressively pushed the Kony 2012 hoax until it fell apart when one of the directors had a public breakdown. Cooper was also heavily involved in promoting the fake “Syria Danny” hoax that relied on staged footage to push for U.S. military intervention in Syria.

With clear evidence of protesters being paid amidst accusations that they were armed by the United States, the narrative behind the Ukraine crisis is clearly more complex than a mere grass roots revolt against corruption. The pro-EU protesters are bizarrely seeking closer ties with a European Union infamous for its institutionalized corruption, malfeasance which costs almost the same each year as Ukraine’s entire GDP.

Many of the activists taking over government buildings in Kiev are also from the Spilna Sprava group, which is an organization funded and supported by billionaire globalist George Soros’ Open Society Institute.

The stage was set for the Ukraine revolt to become violent in December when US Assistant Secretary of State for Europe Victoria Nuland announced that the U.S. would invest $5 billion in order to help Ukrainians achieve “a good form of government.” The true nature of that government was revealed earlier this month when leaked phone conversations emerged of Nuland conspiring with US ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt to pick Ukraine’s future puppet leaders, making good on John McCain’s vow to neutralize Russian influence.

Millions of people will never know the truth behind the Ukraine uprising because it is somewhat more complex than an attractive girl making glib statements about freedom and democracy for 2 minutes on a YouTube video. This is how propaganda works – the simpler the better. The video below provides a wider overview of the true agenda behind the crisis.

Infowars link to their video: The Truth About The Ukraine Crisis (Exposed: Ukrainian ‘Protesters’ Backed by Kony 2012-Style Scam; By Paul Joseph Watson; Infowars.com; 2/20/14)

I have read the links documenting the suppositions of this Infowars article. I have to tell you the used by Paul Joseph Watson are spoon fed from either the Russian propaganda machine or by websites whose background is typically hate-America.

One rings true in the article is that Ukraine’s political situation is complicated. The majority of the nation are native Ukrainian speaking people; however the western part of Ukraine which the news calls Crimea are primarily Russian speaking people. The speaking people exist in Ukraine through years of the former Soviet Union – particularly Stalin – utilizing a Russification campaign which included forbidding the teaching of the Ukraine language and the stamping out of the Eastern Rite but Papacy loyal Ukrainian Church. There are similarities between Ukrainian and Russian languages in that they both are Slavic. The differences lie in influential developments:

Slavic populations living in Eastern Europe are descended from the Indo-European ethnic and linguistic branch. They are classified into 3 groups: the West Slavic including Czechs, Poles, Serbs, Slovaks, the East Slavic comprising Russians, Belarusians and Ukrainians and the South Slavic including Bulgarians, Croats, Serbs, Bosniaks, Macedonians, Montenegrins and Slovenes. …

Language

Ukrainian is an East Slavic language using a Cyrillic alphabet and sharing vocabulary with fellow Slavic languages such as Russian, Polish and Slovak. Throughout its turbulent history the Ukrainian people have tried to preserve their linguistic and ethnic identity resisting the coercive means of empires it formed a part of. …

Culture

Ukrainian culture is a mixture of Christian principles and Cossack customs highly valued and preserved over the centuries. … Zaporozhian Cossacks had a distinctive influence in shaping Ukrainian identity in areas as folk music, dance, architecture, food and customs. To honor Cossack contribution the Ukrainian Great Coat of Arms features a Zaporozhian Cossack. … Russian culture is a result of a mixture of influences: from pagan tribe customs to Christian beliefs, from Turkish to Scandinavian contributions.

Summary

o   Ukrainian and Russian share the same East Slavic language pool and due to this their vocabularies are quite similar.

o   Ukrainian culture has a clear Cossack and Christian influences, while Russian culture is a result of native pagan as well as Christian roots mixed with Turkish and Scandinavian influences.

Now I wouldn’t be surprised if there was some money going to the protestors in some fashion BUT it was not to finance snipers to shoot at both corrupt government controlled police and protestors. In one of the sources used by author Watson relates how Putin encouraged currently deposed Yanukovich to use force to disperse the protestors. The reality is after Yanukovich used force and actually began using police brutality and shootings resulted in protestor deaths THEN the more right wing protestors initially shunned by other protest factions welcomed their aid in confronting the (Berkut) police.

A leaked recording has emerged between an Estonian diplomat and an EU diplomat in which a conversation agrees with the Russia Today (RT – Putin Mouthpiece available in English) coverage that both Maidan protesters and Berkut police were shot at by members of the Ukrainian Right Wing to frame ousted President Yanukovich for the deaths. Since indeed the Ukrainian Parliament dumped Yanukovich a lot credence was given to the Russian propaganda and now going viral on the web is the appearance of a non-Russian Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet telling High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Police Catherine Ashton that he heard reports Blog Editor: You might think this post is long at this point but there is so much more to refute. Reset The President red button

The Ukraine has been invaded by Russia ostensibly to preserve peace which probably means to protect the Russian speaking and Pro-Russia Ukrainians of the Crimea part Ukraine. At any rate Allen West has written a brief but explosive little essay about how the voters have elected an impotent weak President unable to confront Russia’s goal of becoming a big player at the cost of Liberty.

Allen West – Steadfast and Loyal

During his first term, Obama told then-Russian President Medvedev to “tell Vladimir I will have more flexibility after reelection.”

Last week, Obama demonstrated some of that flexibility, which in that case meant decimating our military capability.

Yesterday, Obama demonstrated more flexibility, which meant more empty words and meaningless threats. There will be costs for any military intervention into Ukraine and Crimea? Just sounds like any red line blather from the community organizer prom king.

Vladimir Putin is a steely-eyed former KGB agent. He knows America under Obama has no options and no guts. It has taken Obama almost two weeks to address the Ukraine issue. Obama already cancelled the missile defense shield for Eastern Europe.

Americans and our allies don’t trust Obama to lead anything bigger than a Gay Pride parade. Hillary Clinton offered Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov a toy reset button. Putin reset it to USSR.

Elections have consequences and the result is an absence of courageous American leadership. I humbly apologize to the liberty-loving people of Ukraine. The beacon of liberty and freedom that was American no longer shines brightly. Putin, you lucky rascal, your timing could not have been any better. America has no leader.

Dear Mr. Smith,

I’m Galya’s friend.

I write some thoughts about what happened in Kyiv, they are chaotic, but I decided to send them. I hope there are not many grammar mistakes.

“There is a pain in my heart. Ukraine washed with tears. Many different and difficult thoughts are in my head. Fear to forget. Fear to allow politicians to forget what had happened. There is no feeling that something great was achieved. I do not see a clear plan for how to remove the old politicians, judges and policemen. But I know that people have to learn to live by new, normal rules. There is hope. Perhaps, we should start with ourselves. Ukrainians are great, they are beautiful people. They surprised themselves. Suddenly they show, that they are brave, desperate and they deserve a better life.

The main thing is to remember all the mistakes and lies of every person, who worked in the government. Criminals have to sit in jail. How long will they avoid punishment? This is the only way to show others that everyone who breaks the law will be punished in Ukraine. Perhaps then people will start to follow the law. And then, I hope, we will understand what moral laws are”.

Yevgeniya.

Editor: I took a little editorial license with Yevgeniya message but I am sure here emotional accent still flows.  Take heart and God bless the Ukrainians. You can read Yevgeniya’s untampered version on Justin Smith’s Facebook page. By the way I just had a word epiphany which many will find silly; viz. Kyiv and Kiev are variant spellings of the Capital of Ukraine.
