Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara, today (Monday, 14 May 2018), attended the opening of the US Embassy in Jerusalem.

After the ceremony, the Prime Minister and his wife were invited to US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman’s office for a toast with the American delegation.

Prime Minister Netanyahu:

“We have no better friends in the world. You stand for Israel and you stand for Jerusalem. Thank you.

Your presence here today is a testament to the importance of this occasion, not only for the Trump administration, but in a very personal way for you. For you, each of you, for the pursuit of peace, and for President Trump himself. Thank you.

What a glorious day. Remember this moment. This is history. President Trump, by recognizing history, you have made history.

All of us are deeply moved. All of us are deeply grateful.

For me, being here brings back wonderful memories from my childhood. [Hebrew] So, I know some of you didn’t follow every word I said in Hebrew, and I’ll tell you that I spent the first three years of my life in this neighborhood, in Ein Gedi Street in Talpiot, which is not very far away. There were a few charming houses here, many open fields. I remember ambling in these fields with my brother, Yoni. He was six; I was three. He held my hand very tight. We’d walk to this wondrous house of Professor Joseph Klausner, the renowned Jewish historian who was my father’s teacher. I used to peer through the slats of the wooden synagogue where he and the great Israeli writer, Shai Agnon, used to pray on Shabbat. And David, I would approach this place right here, but only so far, because my mother told me, ‘You can’t go any further.’ This was near the border. It was exposed to sniper fire. That was then. This is now, today.

Today, the embassy of the most powerful nation on earth, our greatest ally, the United States of America, today its embassy opened here.

So for me this spot brings back personal memories, but for our people, it evokes profound collective memories of the greatest moments we have known on this City on a Hill.

In Jerusalem, Abraham passed the greatest test of faith and the right to be the father of our nation.

In Jerusalem, King David established our capital three thousand years ago.

In Jerusalem, King Solomon built our Temple, which stood for many centuries.

In Jerusalem, Jewish exiles from Babylon rebuilt the Temple, which stood for many more centuries.

In Jerusalem, the Maccabees rededicated that Temple and restored Jewish sovereignty in this land.

And it was here in Jerusalem some two thousand years later that the soldiers of Israel spoke three immortal words, ‘Har ha’bayit be’yadeinu,’ ‘The Temple Mount is in our hands,’ words that lifted the spirit of the entire nation.

We are in Jerusalem and we are here to stay.

We are here in Jerusalem, protected by the brave soldiers of the army of Israel, led by our Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot, and our brave soldiers, our brave soldiers are protecting the borders of Israel as we speak today. We salute them all, and the members of our security forces, the Shin Bet and the Mossad, whose head is with us today. We salute you all, all of you.

Over a century ago, the Balfour Declaration recognized the right of the Jewish people to a national home in this land. And exactly 70 years ago today, President Truman became the first world leader to recognize the newborn Jewish state. Last December, President Trump became the first world leader to recognize Jerusalem as our capital. And today, the United States of America is opening its embassy right here in Jerusalem.

Thank you. Thank you, President Trump, for having the courage to keep your promises. Thank you, President Trump, and thank you all, for making the alliance between America and Israel stronger than ever. And thank you, a special thank you, to you, Ambassador Friedman. Thank you, David, for everything you do to bring our countries and our peoples closer together. Today, you have a special privilege. You are privileged to become the first American ambassador to serve your country in Jerusalem, and this is a distinct honor that will be yours forever. Nobody can be first again.

My friends, this is a great day for Israel. It’s a great day for America. It’s a great day for our fantastic partnership. But I believe it’s also a great day for peace.

I want to thank Jared, Jason and David for your tireless efforts to advance peace, and for your tireless efforts to advance the truth. The truth and peace are interconnected. A peace that is built on lies will crash on the rocks of Middle Eastern reality. You can only build peace on truth, and the truth is that Jerusalem has been and will always be the capital of the Jewish people, the capital of the Jewish state. Truth, peace and justice – as our Supreme Court Justice here. Hanan Melcer, can attest – truth, peace and justice, this is what we have and this is what we believe in.

The prophet, Zechariah, declared over 2,500 years ago, ‘So said the Lord, ‘I will return to Zion and I will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. And Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth.’

May the opening of this embassy in this city spread the truth far and wide, and may the truth advance a lasting peace between Israel and all our neighbors.

G-d bless the United States of America and G-d bless Jerusalem, the eternal, undivided capital of Israel.

This morning (Monday, 14 May 2018), Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat hosted an intimate breakfast in honor of the opening of the US Embassy in Jerusalem. The breakfast was attended by members of the US Presidential delegation, including Deputy Secretary of State John J. Sullivan, Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin, US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, and Jason Greenblatt, Assistant to the President and Special Representative for International Negotiations. The breakfast was also attended by the Congressional delegation to Israel.

Mayor Barkat: “It is an honor to be here today to celebrate with dear friends of Jerusalem. Today is a historic day for the eternal capital of the Jewish people. When I began my work in public service for Jerusalem, our goal was to bring Jerusalem back to its former glory – to Make Jerusalem Great Again. By taking the bold step of moving the US Embassy to its rightful place in Jerusalem, President Trump is helping us Make Jerusalem Great Again by recognizing 3,000 years of history.”

The event featured remarks by Deputy Secretary of State John T. Sullivan, Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin, and US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman.

Justin Smith writes about the obvious fact that Leftists and Muslim apologists have been in denial for decades. Namely, that Jerusalem is the Capital city of the Jewish State of Israel. Whiners cry recognizing Jerusalem as the Capital city will harm or end the peace process. Just as Justin Smith correctly points out, “What peace process?”

Israel has bent over backwards for decades to allow a sovereign Palestinian State – even though undeserved. The so-called Palestinian leadership has torpedoed every too generous Israeli offer. They refuse to recognize Israel as a Jewish State while unofficially (except Hamas which officially) wants to the total destruction of Israel and the death of its Jewish citizens (See Also HERE).

A Recognition of Reality

A Historical Injustice Corrected

Jerusalem is the undivided capital of Israel, according to President Donald Trump, who declared it so on December 6th 2017, rewarding our close ally Israel and correcting a historical injustice, although any sane person already understood this fact and the historical record removes all doubt. President Trump’s declaration sounded the death knell on the seven decades long world delusion that Muslims and the ideology of Islam somehow have any claim to any part of Jerusalem, which is a critical component of the mythical “palestinians’” simple ploy to undermine and ultimately destroy Israel, a sovereign Jewish state in the middle of the Islamic world, which is viewed in their eyes as an insult to Islam.

Along with this declaration, President Trump announced the plan to move the U.S. Embassy, from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem over the next few years, to ultimately fulfill the 1995 Jerusalem Embassy Relocation Act, signed by President Bill Clinton, which originally called for this to be completed by 1999. A waiver signed by President Trump has delayed the move for six months, until a review can present an efficient and viable plan for the move.

President Trump was cautioned against this move, by Defense Secretary James Mattis and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who feared it would enrage the Islamic world. While it did result in an immediate blowback, President Trump is convinced that this will aid the peace process in the long term; and even if this is not the case, God will bless him and America for his courageous and righteous decision.

Representative John Culberson (R-TX) told ‘The Hill’: “America should never change our foreign policy based on an assumption that we’re going to offend a group of Islamic radicals. America should always do the right thing and stand by our allies, and America has no stronger ally on earth than the people of Israel.”

Justifying his decision, President Trump mentioned the Parliament, Supreme Court and the prime minister’s home in West Jerusalem, as locations within the Old City, including Al Aqsa mosque. A bright, glaring focal point, he made no mention of any Palestinian rights to East Jerusalem.

Today, the Jewish Temple Mount is the third holiest site in Islam, behind Saudi Arabia’s Mecca and Medina. Muslims believe once they claim a piece of land, it belongs to Islam forever.

However, there has never been a “Palestinian” state with Jerusalem as its capital, or a palestinian language or culture. There was not any such thing as a “palestinian” people, prior to 1948. They were ethnic Arabs and Muslims, who created the myth as a political tool to use against an unwanted Jewish state in their midst.

For the past three thousand years, since 1000 B.C., there has been an uninterrupted Jewish presence in the city of Jerusalem, which is the religious and cultural home for the Jewish people and their historic capital. Jews, wherever they are in the world, face Jerusalem when they pray, and each year at Passover, their hopeful prayer is recited, “Next year in Jerusalem”.

The Bible mentions the City of David, Jerusalem, more than 600 times, and Jerusalem is mentioned hundreds of times in the Prophets (Nevi’im) and Writings (Ketuvim). The Psalms 137:5 state, “If I forget thee Jerusalem, may my right hand forget its skill“. Out of all the cities in the world, the Bible only calls on us to pray for the welfare of Jerusalem, but not once is Jerusalem mentioned in the Koran.

In Mohammed’s lifetime, Jerusalem was an unimportant city in the Byzantine Empire and a Christian city without a single mosque. The Al Aqsa mosque is a conquest mosque [Tov Rose & CBN] built atop the ruins of the Church of Saint Mary of Justinian. And, although Islamic tradition says Mohammed ascended into Heaven from Al Aqsa mosque, there is no record of Mohammed having ever been to Jerusalem.

President Trump rightfully noted: “This is nothing more or less than a recognition of reality. It is also the right thing to do. It’s something that has to be done.”

Many professional “peace experts” contend that President Trump’s capital idea will kill any chance for a negotiated settlement between the Palestinians and Israel. Palestinian Authority president-for-life Mahmoud Abbas, an old terrorist himself, characterized the move as America’s “declaration of withdrawal” from the “peace process”.

What peace process?

For nearly a decade, Abbas has refused to engage in direct talks, despite Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s open invitation, but no negotiation is better than the bad faith negotiations of the Palestinians. In 1993, under Yasser Arafat, they accepted extremely generous deals in the Oslo Accords and right away committed wave after wave of terrorist attacks, in an effort to force more concessions from Israel and the West.

And now, President Trump has sent the unmistakable message that murder will not be rewarded. No longer will violence over Jerusalem be tolerated.

Calls for Muslims to engage in “three days of rage” immediately sounded over mosque loudspeakers in Gaza, and hundreds moved on the Israeli border, after Trump’s speech, throwing stones and chanting, “We don’t need empty words, we need stones and Kalasnikovs”, while other clashes broke out in Hebron and Bethlehem. Thirty-one Palestinians were wounded on Thursday, and Friday after prayers was like all other Fridays, with the usual protests and anger.

The Palestinians don’t want to peacefully coexist beside Israel, in a two-state solution. They seek a one state solution and an Islamic State that exists in the place of Israel, and they cling to their fantasy of eradicating the Jewish state. To achieve this, they have created a campaign to revise history, and they attempt to erase the undeniable Jewish connection and birthright to Jerusalem.

Reprehensibly, on May 2nd of this year, near Israel’s Independence Day, the U.N.’s cultural body, UNESCO, passed a series of resolutions that stated Israel hasn’t any legal or historical rights anywhere in Jerusalem. Largely comprised of an anti-Israel majority, the votes against the resolution came from the U.S., U.K., Italy, Germany, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Greece, Paraguay and Togo.

In the moments after the vote passed, Israel’s ambassador to UNESCO, Carmel Shama-Hacohen, draped in a large Israeli flag, addressed the meeting: “Even now, after this miserable vote, this blue and white flag is flying high above the Temple Mount and throughout Israel’s eternal capital city, Jerusalem, waving in the wind, saying to all ‘here we are, and we are here to stay'”.

Denying reality is how this game has long been played. For seventy years the world has pretended that Jerusalem wasn’t the capital of Israel. We even witnessed the U.N. become the poster child for the absurd, when it declared East Jerusalem “occupied territory”, on December 23rd 2016, because of President Obama’s anti-Israel sentiment. This advanced the insane and ignoble fantasy that, as a matter of international law, the Western Wall, and the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem too, really belongs to the Palestinians. President Donald Trump just put an end to their game, with his acknowledgement of fact and his brave act and moral courage.

Thanks to Ali Hoppe on the G+ Community United We Stand One Nation Under God, I have found out that the U.S, Ambassador to Israel – David Friedman – is publicly taking the stand that U.S. Embassy will be moved from Tel Aviv to the Eternal Capital of the Land of Israel is just a matter of when.

Since the Ambassador supposed to represent the agenda of the U.S. government, it warms my heart that President Trump has not given up on this campaign promise that has actually been mandated by the U.S. Congress.

U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman said the Trump administration will move the American embassy in the country to Jerusalem, saying it is not a matter of “if, but when,” according to remarks offered in a new interview.

President Donald Trump promised early on in his campaign for office that he would finally move the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, which Israel considers its capital.

The issue has been shrouded in controversy since it is longstanding U.S. policy not to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital so as not to prejudge the outcome of peace negotiations with the Palestinians.

Trump has promised to move the embassy as one of his first declarations in office, but that was derailed following opposition by the State Department and a renewed push to get the Israelis and Palestinians back to the negotiating table.

While Trump administration officials have said the embassy move is still being reviewed, Friedman told Erick Stakelbeck, director of Christians United for Israel’s Watchman Project, in an exclusive interview that the U.S. embassy is certain to be relocated during Trump’s tenure in office.

“The embassy will move. It’s not if, but when,” Friedman told Stakelbeck in an interview set to be broadcast on the TBN network. “I am convinced that during his term, the United States will recognize Jerusalem as the undivided and eternal capital of Israel.”

Well, it appears President Trump has caved to the advice of the Swamp and (probably) the GOP Establishment to not move the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Israel’s Capital City of Jerusalem.

The official reason is to pursue an impossible peace between Arabs that call themselves Palestinians and the Jewish State of Israel.

President Trump is no dummy when it comes to deal making with Palestinians those Islamic terrorists will never accept the existence of a Jewish State, will always demand the unreasonable delusion of the return of the descendants of Muslims who fled the original Arab invasion in 1948.

ALSO, from a Biblical perspective, a Palestinian Muslim State on Jewish heritage will be a thorn in the side of Israel that I have no doubt will result in an IDF invasion of their own Judea-Samaria land proposed as a sovereign nation. Why an IDF invasion? The constant Islamic terrorism against Jews that will continue under a Palestinian State who in turn reward the families of Islamic terrorist perpetrators.

Considering this impossible peace, I sense a closer reason for the President Trump cave-in had to do with Swamp Elitists, GOP Establishment and foreign leader pressure against moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem.

Trump Won’t Move US Embassy to Jerusalem, but He Did Make This Promise

JERUSALEM, Israel – President Donald Trump decided today he will not be moving the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

During his campaign, Trump promised to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, thrilling Israelis and many pro-Israel Christian voters. But the White House says he can’t do it just yet.

“No one should consider this step to be in any way a retreat from the President’s strong support for Israel and for the United States-Israel alliance,” the White House said in a statement.

The statement makes clear the president made the decision because he intends to push ahead with plans for peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians.

“President Trump made this decision to maximize the chances of successfully negotiating a deal between Israel and the Palestinians, fulfilling his solemn obligation to defend America’s national security interests,” the statement said.

“But, as he has repeatedly stated his intention to move the embassy, the question is not if that move happens, but only when,” it continued.

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement expressing disappointment with the decision.

“Israel’s consistent position is that the American embassy, like the embassies of all countries with whom we have diplomatic relations, should be in Jerusalem, our eternal capital. Maintaining embassies outside the capital drives peace further away by helping keep alive the Palestinian fantasy that the Jewish people and the Jewish state have no connection to Jerusalem,” the statement said.
“Though Israel is disappointed that the embassy will not move at this time, we appreciate today’s expression of President Trump’s friendship to Israel and his commitment to moving the embassy in the future.”

Many were hoping the president would announce his decision to move the embassy during his recent visit. Now he has kicked the can down the road like his predecessors, former presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George H.W. Bush, postponing the decision for another six months.

For more than two decades, the 1995 Jerusalem Embassy Act, stipulating that the embassy be relocated to Jerusalem, has been pushed off.

The waiver is almost always justified on the basis of further complicating the peace process between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, which actively warns against such a move.

While Trump reportedly would like to fulfill his campaign promise, he appears to have opted for postponement to avoid condemnation by Arab nations and other Western allies.

At a Jerusalem Day event last week, Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat said to President Trump, “…we are grateful and say again that we want to see the transfer of the embassy to Jerusalem.”

Bob Eschliman writing for CharismaNews, introduces a Pastor John Hagee open letter posted at the Washington Times encouraging President Trump to deliver on his campaign promise to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. This would be an act recognizing Jerusalem as the Capital City of the Jewish State. This is also an act that would alienate psycho-Islamic Supremacist nations and Multiculturalist-deluded European nations desiring to placate the oil rich Middle Eastern nations.

CharismaNews posted on May 18 while the open letter posted at Washington Times was posted on May 15. I am going to quote Eschliman’s intro as a quote and the Washington Times post in entirety. Eschliman posted three paragraphs. Two paragraphs in the beginning, followed by a partial of John Hagee’s open letter and finishing with a paragraph telling you to read the rest of the open letter. In 1948, when President Truman recognized the newly independent state of Israel, he did so in the face of fierce opposition from his advisers. Secretary of State George C. Marshall — whom the president regarded as “the greatest living American” — adamantly opposed the decision.

Despite the controversy, it is now a source of a great pride for many Americans that our nation recognized Israel just minutes after it declared independence. Truman’s decision to choose morality over realpolitik, in defiance of his advisers, will forever be a focal point of American and Israeli history — and of Truman’s legacy.

President Trump will soon face a similar moment. In a few weeks, as mandated by the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995, he will have to decide whether to exercise the legislation’s presidential waver or move the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Throughout his campaign, Mr. Trump promised to move the embassy. This promise was vital to securing the support of millions of Christian Zionists around the country, and Mr. Trump like Truman is hearing from naysayers. Moving the embassy will inflame the Arab world, they claim.

Also like Truman, Mr. Trump must contend with well-entrenched anti-Israel bureaucrats at the State Department who will try to use their positions to make moving the embassy difficult. But the buck does not stop with bureaucrats.

The Jewish state has the right to determine where it would place its capitol, and it has chosen Jerusalem. The international community’s decision to cower before Israel’s enemies by keeping embassies in Tel Aviv is disgraceful. For thousands of years, Jews around the world never forgot their holy city. From generation to generation they reiterated their hope that next year they would be in Jerusalem. In the days to come, I pray God grant Mr. Trump the wisdom of Solomon and the courage of Truman.

Check out this threat from the Palestinian Authority if the USA moves its embassy to Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem:

“If that takes place, the Palestinian side would have to sever its ties with the official staff of the illegal US embassy in Jerusalem,” claimed Fatah Central Committee member Nasser al-Kidwa, while speaking to the Palestinian newspaper Al-Quds.

“In addition to that, there is the issue of the Palestinian political representative’s office in Washington,” al-Kidwa continued. “It would also be necessary to close the office.”

Hmm … I don’t know about your response to that, but I say call the waaaambulance.

Perhaps President Trump should stop American taxpayer money to the no-people Arabs pretending to be a people who have never existed until the Yasser Arafat and Arab nations’ strongmen picked out the name from a hat. ORIGINALLY the British Mandate of Palestine was instituted for Jews to set up a Jewish State after WWI.

ERGO, the so-called Palestinian lies and threats can jump into a pig farm and wallow away. If the Palestine Authority, Hamas OR any other Islamic terrorist organization has a problem with America recognizing Jerusalem as the Capital City of Israel, it might be time for President Trump to help terrorists and their supporters to move somewhere else more historically common to their Islamic faith – ahem, OR ELSE!

Palestinians threaten to downgrade US relations if Trump moves embassy to Jerusalem

A Palestinian official claimed that the Palestinian Authority would downgrade its relations with the US and file a complaint with the UN if Trump moves the US embassy in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

A senior official in Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah party said that the PA should downgrade its diplomatic relationship with the United States if President Trump follows through with his plan to move the US embassy in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

“If that takes place, the Palestinian side would have to sever its ties with the official staff of the illegal US embassy in Jerusalem,” claimed Fatah Central Committee member Nasser al-Kidwa, while speaking to the Palestinian newspaper Al-Quds.

“In addition to that, there is the issue of the Palestinian political representative’s office in Washington,” al-Kidwa continued. “It would also be necessary to close the office.”

The official added that the PA would no longer accept the US as a mediator between Israel and the PA.

“It would be necessary for the Palestinian side to make clear that it no longer officially considers the United States an interlocutor and that it cannot cooperate with it directly or through the Quartet,” he said.

The Quartet, comprised of the US, European Union, UN and Russia was launched in 2002 at the height of the Second Intifada in the spirit of the “Road Map” vision of US President George W. Bush for a two-state solution between Israel and the PA.

Moreover, al-Kidwa suggested that the PA may launch a complaint against the United States of America at the United Nations Security Council. Such an initiative would not go anywhere since the US, as a permanent member of the Security Council, would veto any measures against itself.
