IRVINE, May 26–The Center for Medical Progress, whose undercover videos exposed Planned Parenthood leadership negotiating the harvesting and sale of aborted fetal body parts, released a new video today featuring Planned Parenthood officials’ sworn videotaped testimony about the sales.

 

The new video release documents the Planned Parenthood officials’ admissions, which came in Planned Parenthood’s own retaliatory lawsuit over the undercover footage and contradict Planned Parenthood’s public claims about both the undercover videos and the abortion provider’s fetal tissue research programs. San Francisco, CA — Sixteen unsealed excerpts of sworn video testimony from Planned Parenthood executives was released yesterday by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP), which shows in their own words that Planned Parenthood was involved in obtaining “donations” of fetal tissue organs from women having abortions, only to illegally sell it to middle-man organ procurement companies for profit.

 

The video testimony was presented in court during a trial last fall in a case* brought by Planned Parenthood against the CMP members who were involved in the undercover investigation into Planned Parenthood’s sale of aborted baby parts for profit.  Among the defendants was Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue, who served as a CMP board member at the time of the investigation.

 

“From the beginning, we have been prevented from discussing evidence incriminating to Planned Parenthood, due to a gag order issued by the court.  This allowed only Planned Parenthood’s false narrative to reach the public,” said Troy Newman. “In fact, the truth about Planned Parenthood’s illegal baby body parts trade has been suppressed for twenty years, since Mark Crutcher of Life Dynamics, Inc. conducted the first investigation on this subject in 2000. Now, with the unsealing of this testimony and other evidence, the truth is finally being told.”

One particularly incriminating exchange was during the video testimony of Tram Nguyen, Abortion Center Administrator for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast (PPGC).  She was asked by defense counsel about an e-mail stream between her and the Regional Medical and Surgical Services Director of PPGC.

 

Nguyen agreed in that e-mail exchange that she wanted to move forward with an attached contract that would have paid PPGC $750.00 per fetal liver and $1,600.00 per fetal liver/thymus pair.

 

Planned Parenthood has publicly lied to Congress and the media since 2015, by telling them that they had “rebuffed” this contract.

 

And that was not the only contract Planned Parenthood lied about. While publicly claiming that it only received reimbursements for hard costs, Planned Parenthood was actually raking in handsome profits at a number of its abortion facilities, as other recently release evidence proves.

 

Last month, newly unsealed invoices showed detailed billing for aborted baby remains from nine abortion facilities operated by Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, a California affiliate totaling nearly $25,000 over just three months.  Of the nine facilities, the San Jose Planned Parenthood clinic was by far the most profitable, raking in $8,205 for a total of 157 specimen labeled “POC” or “products of conception.”

 

In December 2017, two California companies, DV Biologics and DaVinci Biosciences, admitted guilt and agreed to pay nearly $8 million to settle a civil case brought by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office for illegally trafficking in aborted baby tissues and organs procured exclusively from Southern California Planned Parenthood abortion facilities.  The two companies were also ordered to shut down, but in a miscarriage of justice, Planned Parenthood escaped prosecution.

 

“Why wasn’t this admission of guilt used against Planned Parenthood?  Because its significant political power over corrupt politicians at nearly every level of government has shielded Planned Parenthood from consequences for decades,” said Newman. “That political corruption must be exposed and rooted out.”

 

The CMP defendants lost the court case where the video testimony was presented and were ordered to pay a combined judgment totaling millions of dollars to Planned Parenthood – all for daring to expose their criminal conduct.   Newman’s attorneys with the American Center for Law and Justice are now petitioning for a new trial.

 

Meanwhile, criminal referrals issued by both the House Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives and the Senate Judiciary Committee in 2016, opened an FBI investigation that has dragged on without resolution.  Sen. Lindsey Graham and Sen. Chuck Grassley sent a letter to Attorney General William Barr on June 18, 2019, seeking an update on the progress of the investigation, but there was never any public response.

 

“Mounting public evidence, which has been sealed until now, clearly shows that Planned Parenthood broke the law.  The truth can no longer be hidden or denied,” said Newman.  “I call on the Department of Justice to complete their investigation into Planned Parenthood’s illegal trafficking in aborted baby parts and lying to Congress.  Planned Parenthood must be held accountable for their criminal conduct.”

On July 14, 2015, the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) released its first undercover Planned Parenthood video, blowing the whistle on the abortion industry’s practice of illegally harvesting and selling the body parts of aborted babies.

 

Just 17 days later, the National Abortion Federation (NAF) filed a lawsuit against CMP and ultimately secured a preliminary injunction against lead investigator and CMP founder David Daleiden. The injunction prohibited him from releasing any footage obtained during NAF conferences and meetings, which David had attended undercover with the goal of exposing illegal activity by the abortion industry.

 

Fast forward almost two years—and the lawsuit is still ongoing. Meanwhile, Daleiden’s footage from the NAF conference remains under lock and key, leaving some to wonder what secrets NAF is trying to hide. U.S. District Judge William Orrick violated the First Amendment Rights of the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) by gagging all undercover videos exposing the murderous intent by National Abortion Federation (NAF) in trafficking aborted and live birth baby parts for profit. Planned Parenthood was stung the same way. Leftists in law enforcement are doing their best to cover-up these nefarious murders and felonious activities with baby part trafficking.

 

U.S. District Judge William Orrick, who granted the preliminary injunction in favor of the National Abortion Federation to halt the release of the videos, ordered any links to the video to be removed after it was published by the Center for Medical Progress on Thursday.

 

Judge Orrick also ordered CMP lead investigator David Daleiden and his attorneys to appear in court June 14, The Associated Press reported, for a hearing where he will consider holding them in contempt for releasing the footage.

 

Mr. Daleiden has been charged with 15 felonies in California stemming from his undercover investigation into the abortion giant. His attorneys have called it a “witch hunt” that flies in the face of the First Amendment.

 

YouTube has not responded to a request for comment.

Judge Orrick took advantage of the 9th Circuit Appellate Court’s unfavorable ruling to make that gag order.

 

The abortion industry has desperately tried to suppress and delegitimize the work of CMP, including through the use of litigation. We represent former CMP board member Troy Newman – who is also the President of Operation Rescue – in lawsuits filed by the National Abortion Federation (NAF) as well as Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and numerous Planned Parenthood affiliates, and we recently filed briefs in both cases.

 

In the NAF case, the trial court issued a preliminary injunction that prevents the defendants from publishing videos or materials relating to NAF conferences, or sharing such information with anyone, including state Attorneys General or local law enforcement officers, while the case moves forward. The defendants have appealed the decision to the U.S. Court of Appeals to the Ninth Circuit, and we recently filed a reply brief (under seal by court order) that emphasizes that government investigators, and the general public, have a compelling interest in being able to review the videos and materials themselves.

 

In the PPFA case, we recently filed a reply brief supporting our motion to dismiss the lawsuit. WASHINGTON, Aug. 4, 2017 /Christian Newswire/ — Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue and a founding member of the Center for Medical Progress, filed a petition yesterday to the U.S. Supreme Court, challenging the Constitutionality of a preliminary injunction that prohibits the release of undercover videos recorded at National Abortion Federation (NAF) meetings – even to law enforcement when they contain evidence of crimes.

 

The petition, captioned Newman v. National Abortion Federation, states:

 

This Petition stems from an injunction forbidding the voluntary disclosure to law enforcement agencies, other governmental bodies, and the general public of recordings and other information that the enjoined individuals and entities-as well as Congressional investigators-believe are evidence of widespread criminal, illegal, and unethical conduct, including felonies.

 

Newman is represented by Jay Sekulow, who leads Newman’s team of attorneys from the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ).

 

During Newman’s tenure on the Board of the Center for Medical Progress, the NAF, and later Planned Parenthood, filed suits in a San Francisco Federal Court against Newman and others in an effort to prevent the release of further undercover videos that exposed the illegal trade in aborted baby body parts.

 

And it is little wonder that the NAF would not want the videos released.

 

Newman’s Supreme Court Petition notes that Congressional investigations conducted by the Senate Judiciary Committee and the House Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives referred members of the National Abortion Federation and Planned Parenthood to federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies for criminal investigation and prosecution.

 

Newman argues that the enjoined recordings corroborate the determination of the two Congressional investigations, which found evidence that NAF members (including several Planned Parenthood organizations) were engaged in the following criminal conduct:

 

  • Profiting from the sale of fetal organs;

 

  • Altering abortion procedures for financial gain;

 

  • Performing illegal partial-birth abortions;

 

  • Killing newborns who survived attempted abortions;

 

  • Failing to obtain informed consent for fetal tissue donations;

 

  • Violating federal regulations regarding Institutional Review Boards (IRBs); and

 

  • Fraudulent overbilling practices.

 

Newman’s petition further states:

 

It has long been a tenet of Anglo-American jurisprudence that individuals who believe that they have information concerning criminal or illegal activities should be permitted, and encouraged, to voluntarily provide such information to government authorities. Similarly, investigative journalism concerning matters of public concern, including the uncovering of illegal, unethical, or troubling activities, is a constitutionally protected, venerable undertaking.

 

Newman’s unsuccessful appeal to the Ninth Circuit was joined by state 14 Attorneys General, led by Arizona, who are seeking to review the evidence contained in the recordings.

 

As the most important abortion case currently under litigation, Newman v. NAF could have profound implications on the future use of undercover investigative techniques and the ability of law enforcement to gather evidence in criminal investigations.

California Dems Caught in Illegal Collusion?

On June 21, 2017 Judge Christopher Hite dismissed 14 out of 15 charges against whistleblowers David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt spearheaded by California Attorney General Xavier Becerra.

 

Many in the Pro-Life Movement are very aware this Dem Party Attorney General is a paid tool of Planned Parenthood (PP), the very baby-killing organization exposed as trafficking in baby parts (some of which were born alive than killed) illegally with research organizations.

 

Operation Rescue has acquired documents from the California AG Office showing that Planned Parenthood implying Becerra and PP need to have a meeting to strategize on litigation if the Trump Administration successfully defunds their abortion/murder machine. Operation Rescue also reports the California State Treasurer (State Treasurer John Chiang a Dem**) has already promised $20 million grant to PP in light of being defunded.

 

**John Chiang is one of many California Dems that hate everything President Trump:

 

“Resistance is very narrow, right? It’s a reactive agenda. It’s an abandonment of our greatest hopes and dreams,” Chiang, a 2018 Democratic candidate for governor, said during a seminar sponsored by UCR’s School of Public Policy.

Sacramento, CA — New documents obtained by Operation Rescue reveal Planned Parenthood’s attempt to use the State of California as a tool to challenge any potential defunding in the current efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare.

 

Operation Rescue received the records from the Office of the California Attorney General as the result of a public records request.

 

On March 17, 2017, Celinda Vazquez, Vice President of Public Affairs for Planned Parenthood Los Angeles, sent an e-mail marked “High” importance to Attorney General Xavier Bacerra [sic], that included a letter from Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California requesting a meeting to discuss “potential litigation in the event of defunding Planned Parenthood.”

 

The letter, signed by Kathy Kneer, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California, and Vazquez seemed to summon Bacerra [sic] to a meeting. The letter stated:

 

We write to request a meeting to discuss the potential litigation in the event of defunding Planned Parenthood and the repeal of the American Health Care Act, including the prohibition on abortion coverage.

 

The eight Planned Parenthood affiliate CEOs from across the state would be included in this meeting.

“This letter did not seem to give Bacerra [sic] much of a choice on whether he would attend the meeting. It is obvious that Planned Parenthood is the one really running the State of California,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. “It is clear that Planned Parenthood is desperately attempting to preserve their tax funding in any way possible, especially their abortion funding through Medicaid reimbursements, which is a huge cash cow for them.”

 

Perhaps not coincidently, California’s treasurer announced on June 17, 2017, that Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California would receive a $20 million grant in light of Congressional efforts to defund Planned Parenthood.

 

“Any lawsuit brought by California against the Congressional defunding of Planned Parenthood is simply political pandering to the abortion cartel without the best interests of the public in mind,” said Newman.

 

In the past 18 months, Operation Rescue has documented 51 medical emergencies requiring emergency treatment and hospitalization at Planned Parenthood affiliates nationwide, including the death of at least one patient, Cree Erwin-Shepard, who died from a botched abortion she received last year from the Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

 

“Maimed women and dead babies are the true business of Planned Parenthood, and it time that we, as taxpayers, stop propping up this failing abortion business with our hard-earned tax dollars, which could be of real help to women if redirected to legitimate health providers,” said Newman.

Dems Support Baby-Mauling Murder

On August 3, 2015 the Senate FAILED to get the 60 votes to defund Planned Parenthood. There were 53 yeas and 46 nays and one not present (Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) running for Prez. Of the 53 yeas ONLY two were Democrats – Senator Donnelly – IN and Senator Manchin – WV. On the 46 nays there was one Republican and one Independent: Senator McConnell – R-KY and Senator King – I-ME. McConnell’s nay vote is viewed as a strategic procedural vote that will enable a second run at the defund vote. The rules and politics behind the McConnell nay vote sounds silly to me, but if it works great.

YOU voters that have elected and supported any Senator – COUGH Democrats – that voted nay in effect keeping the butchers of Planned Parenthood in the business killing babies to make a buck out of surgically sliced body parts for research. WE ARE NOT talking of dead baby body tissue here, rather we are talking about DEAD BABY BODY PARTS.

Planned Parenthood is supposed to be a Non-Profit Organization that actually receives Federal funding to contribute to the health of women and children. I don’t have a problem if that is all Planned Parenthood did. HOWEVER, the reality is Planned Parenthood takes taxpayer money to kill babies for birth control purposes (not rape, incest, protecting life of a mother, an extremely physically challenged baby and so forth kind of logic) for the convenience of sexually active women and teenagers that want sex but not kids. Here is how this atrocity began: the early 20th century’s “progressive movement” was caught up in a racist pseudo-science called eugenics. The core idea of eugenics was the use of birth control, abortion, and selective breeding to weed out the so-called “unfit” to create a “cleaner” human race. This horrifying idea actually inspired the Nazis in their evil determination to create a “master race,” a deranged obsession that led to the Holocaust.

One prominent leader of this racial cleansing eugenics movement was Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger. She boasted of her mission in abortion to reduce the numbers of minorities and immigrants in order to create a “cleaner,” i.e. whiter, race. She wanted to enable “the release and cultivation of the better racial elements” and “the gradual suppression, elimination and eventual extirpation of defective stocks—those human weeds which threaten the blooming of the finest flowers of American civilization.” She was a white supremacist in her beliefs.

And she is heralded as a hero on the Left. Instead of rejecting Sanger and these hateful, racist ideals, Hillary Clinton expresses her admiration for her; President Obama asks God to “bless” Planned Parenthood. An op-ed in the New York Times calls for Sanger to replace Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill. Planned Parenthood has done its best to deceive and pretend their foundation is not unsavory, but they stand upon it. Their work strives to meet their founder’s goals.

Knowing Sanger’s racist beliefs, why is anyone surprised that Planned Parenthood placed 80% of its abortion clinics in minority neighborhoods? I posted a simple graphic on my Facebook page showing the Confederate flag on one side and the Planned Parenthood logo on the other, with the question: “Which symbol killed 90,000 black babies last year?”

Our nation commits to turning the page on a tragic chapter of racism by expressing ‪#‎BlackLivesMatter, so why are our tax dollars subsidizing an organization founded on racism?

America, enough is enough! Planned Parenthood receives over half a billion of our tax dollars every year. Why should they have ever received one penny? They neither need nor deserve your hard earned money that was redistributed to this ghastly organization by condoning politicians holding the purse strings.

Planned Parenthood Video #5: Are ‘intact fetal cadavers’ born alive?

The Center for Medical Progress has released another undercover video from Planned Parenthood. This time it raises a serious question about the unborn babies and the “altered” process employed to ensure their still developing bodies are obtained intact.

Thus far, CMP has released five secretly taped interviews with Planned Parenthood officials that reveal possible illegal activity in obtaining and selling aborted baby body parts. Video #5 – labeled as having been recorded in early April 2015 – focuses on Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast in Houston with Melissa Farrell, director of research, commenting on the bottom line: money.

“If we alter a process and we are able to obtain intact fetal cadavers, then we can make it part of the budget that any dissections are this and splitting the specimens into different shipments is this,” the video has Farrell saying. “I mean, it’s all just a matter of line items.”

In addition, altering the process to get intact babies appears to violate federal law.

Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast Director of Research Says Department Contributes Significantly to Bottom Line, Has History of Selling Aborted Fetal Tissue, Suggests “Splitting the Specimens into Different Shipments” to Hide Profit in 5th Undercover Video

HOUSTON, Aug. 4–The fifth undercover video in the controversy over Planned Parenthood’s sale of aborted baby parts shows the Director of Research for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, Melissa Farrell, advertising the Texas Planned Parenthood branch’s track record of fetal tissue sales, including its ability to deliver fully intact fetuses.

In the video, actors posing as representatives from a human biologics company meet with Farrell at the abortion-clinic headquarters of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast in Houston to discuss a potential partnership to harvest fetal organs.

“Where we probably have an edge over other organizations, our organization has been doing research for many many years,” explains Farrell. When researchers need a specific part from the aborted fetus, Farrell says, “We bake that into our contract, and our protocol, that we follow this, so we deviate from our standard in order to do that.”

Asked specifically if this means Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast can change abortion procedures to supply intact fetal specimens, Farrell affirms, “Some of our doctors in the past have projects and they’re collecting the specimens, so they do it in a way that they get the best specimens, so I know it can happen.”

The investigators ask Farrell how she will frame a contract in which they pay a higher price for higher quality fetal body parts, and she replies, “We can work it out in the context of–obviously, the procedure itself is more complicated,” suggesting that “without having you cover the procedural cost” and paying for the abortion, the higher specimen price could be framed as “additional time, cost, administrative burden.”

Farrell finally summarizes her affiliate’s approach to fetal tissue payments: “If we alter our process, and we are able to obtain intact fetal cadavers, we can make it part of the budget that any dissections are this, and splitting the specimens into different shipments is this. It’s all just a matter of line items.”

The sale or purchase of human fetal tissue is a federal felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison or a fine of up to $500,000 (42 U.S.C. 289g-2). Federal law also requires that no alteration in the timing or method of abortion be done for the purposes of fetal tissue collection (42 U.S.C. 289g-1).

Farrell also indicates to the investigators over lunch that the specimen sales from her department contribute significantly to Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast’s overall finances: “I think everyone realizes, especially because my department contributes so much to the bottom line of our organization here, you know we’re one of the largest affiliates, our Research Department is the largest in the United States. Larger than any the other affiliates’ combined.” In a Texas Senate hearing on July 29, former Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast clinic director Abby Johnson estimated that the affiliate had previously made up to $120,000 per month off of aborted fetal tissue.

The video is the fifth by The Center for Medical Progress documenting Planned Parenthood’s sale of aborted fetal parts. Project Lead David Daleiden notes: “This is now the fifth member of Planned Parenthood leadership discussing payments for aborted baby parts without any connection to actual costs of so-called tissue ‘donation.’ Planned Parenthood’s system-wide conspiracy to evade the law and make money off of aborted fetal tissue is now undeniable.” Daleiden continues, “Anyone who watches these videos knows that Planned Parenthood is engaged in barbaric practices and human rights abuses that must end. There is no reason for an organization that uses illegal abortion methods to sell baby parts and commit such atrocities against humanity to still receive over $500 million each year from taxpayers.”

Operation Rescue president Troy Newman, who is on the board of The Center for Medical Progress, tells OneNewsNow the hidden cameras again recorded very graphic and shocking video.

“It shows the procurement lab where the abortionists are dissecting a baby over 20 weeks old and picking it apart and talking about these organs from a child in such a cavalier way [that] I think it just repulses even the most casual viewer,” he states.

Newman also notes that if the procedure to deliver an intact baby is altered to dissect for parts in the second trimester of pregnancy, a question arises as to whether the baby is born alive – and if so, whether abortionists kill the baby or allow the baby to be set aside and die unattended.

The Associated Press reports that Texas Governor Greg Abbott describes this latest video as “repulsive and unconscionable” – and that Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who is leading a state investigation of Planned Parenthood prompted by the previous videos, calls this latest installment “simply appalling.”
