There comes a day where one stops laughing to keep from crying, long after one has exhausted all peaceful means to rectify a severe and egregious wrong committed against all Americans. A day arrives that bears witness to the bulk of the American population rising to say it will not tolerate the growing and ever emerging and advancing tyranny from the respective states involved, the majority of U.S. States, or the federal government; but, that day is not today, unfortunately, because only a few hundreds and sometimes thousands have gathered in any real protest against the mask mandates and the lockdowns that are once more being implemented nationwide, on the advice of unelected technocrats, such as Dr. Anthony Fauci, as a weakness runs through the nation that, by and large, is crying through masked and muffled mewings, “give us lockdowns and keep us safe” rather than demanding after the fashion of Patrick Henry, “give me liberty or give me death“.

 

For at least nine months now, America has witnessed governors and mayors across the nation shut down virtually all small businesses, especially those deemed “nonessential”, forcing them to their demise, while the big corporate businesses are deemed “essential” and raking in billions of dollars, from customers and the federal government “stimulus” Bail Outs for Everybody. And at the same time, these smug elitists issue stay at home orders, we see them in public too often at their own favorite eatery, maskless and thoroughly enjoying the company of many at a single table. And yet, these governors appear on newscasts speaking only of supposed Covid cases, hospitalizations and deaths, while never once making mention of all the businesses forced into extinction and the newly unemployed as a result of their policies, as if such results are inconsequential and do not matter at all.

 

Incredibly, we see pockets of radicalism rear their heads in even my home state of Tennessee, typically considered a fairly conservative state. Several of our larger cities have decided to impose the same tyrannical measures one might expect to see in California, where Southern California has just been locked down. Nashville Mayor John Cooper arbitrarily ordered that no more than eight people could gather together in the city, even their home, as Thanksgiving Day approached, and in Shelby County (Memphis), health department “officials” declared that masks shall be worn at all times while eating, except between bites.

 

And now, we have to listen to the dancing clown, Dr. Anthony Fauci tell various newscasters, as recently as December 1st, that the country should be kept locked down until the fall or such time as 75 to 85 percent of the U.S. population has received the “new vaccine” rushed through to completion, to be held suspect at best, for many reasons I’ve previously noted in past articles.

 

Dr. Ramin Oskoui told Laura Ingraham, Fox News host, on December 4th, that it doesn’t make sense to require children to be vaccinated, when the CDC’s own research and statistics prove that 99.64 percent of all children under the age of 18, who become infected by “the Virus” survive it without any ill effects. Dr. Oskoui further explained that the same phenomena that occurred with the Dengue Virus Vaccine, which actually worsened the virus in children rather than saving them, could quite conceivably occur with the Covid 19 virus vaccine, since it was produced on such an accelerated timeline, and it has yet to meet the real test through this proposed mass inoculation.

 

The more one researches what has transpired, since September 2019 the more it becomes apparent America, and the rest of the world too, is not dealing with a first-class medical emergency, but rather a sinister plan to roll out a vaccine that carries a microchip implant for the purpose of tracking anybody who receives it. This is not so fantastic a claim, since it’s already been developed, by MIT, through massive donations by Bill and Melinda Gates, one month before the announcement of the Covid-19 outbreak.

BUT I don’t care how effective a vaccine is, IF there is any kind tracking/tracing component in the vaccine I will NOT voluntarily receive an injection. In a sick, twisted, delusional, despicable tyrannical statement earlier this week, Eric Garcetti, LA’s despotic mayor, prohibited “all travel, including, without limitation, travel on foot, bicycle, scooter, motorcycle, automobile, or public transit” with very few exceptions made, in Paragraph V. Some exceptions include people working in the healthcare and news industry, while residents of LA have been ordered “to remain in their homes”, as the order even attempts to bar household gatherings and require non-essential businesses to either close or conduct business from home, if applicable.

 

It’s past time for all American patriots to reclaim our Constitutional rights.

 

Periodically, we see the lone bar or restaurant pushing back against some illegitimate and illegal executive order, as local supporters stand nearby with television cameras running. We’ve seen it in New Jersey where a gym owner stood up to the Governor and state and local police, and most recently we have seen pockets of resistance pop up again on Staten Island, New York and in Los Angeles, California. These should be taken as symbols for freedom and become the rule of the day rather than the exception.

 

The [JOS] owner of the Pineapple Bar and Grill on Van Nuys Boulevard took to social media to plead her case, as her restaurant’s outdoor dining area was closed down by LA’s powers-that-be at the same time a movie production company was setting up an outdoors dining area for employees, just feet across the way from her business. The movie people have since removed their tented site, and although the owner of PB & G has taken her fight to social media, she should have filed an injunction against the county and city to halt their actions, and she should have remained open in defiance of these illegal, unconstitutional executive orders.

 

The owner of Mac’s Public House, Keith McAlarney, did everything he could to comply with Governor Coumo’s and Mayor DeBlasio’s far-reaching and extremely tyrannical diktats and executive orders, until it became a matter of survival and his business staying open or closing its doors forever. McAlarney made the only choice he could possibly have made. He chose freedom and business as usual, in order to be able to feed his family and keep a roof over their head, and as a result, he was threatened with many thousands of dollars in fines and even jail time.

It’s impossible to cogently and logically argue with McAlarney’s objections, as he asked: “Why is everybody allowed to cram themselves into a Target or a Best Buy or into the mall or any other large company, big corporation companies, and they’re running shoulder to shoulder with each other … but my establishment all of a sudden somehow seems to be the only place that somebody is able to contract corona?”

 

His lawyer has advised him that his choice to remain open and conduct regular business was in line with the law and that he would be standing with his client until the end, come what may.

 

As hundreds of protesters rallied around him and his business as he defied the illegal Covid orders, [JOS] they chanted “Open Up”, even as Danny Presti, co-owner, was led away in handcuffs like some sort of hardened criminal. Presti stated: “I have nothing to lose.” And later, both owners made note that only a block away, other businesses were being allowed to function without any restrictions, which was one of the main reasons they decided to take the path they chose, rather than watch everything they had worked so hard to build destroyed in a matter of weeks.

 

Mike Coughlin, owner of the Village Tavern and Grill in Carol Stream, Illinois, has found himself placed in the same predicament, after he followed every new arbitrary “rule” for new limited capacity seating by Governor J.B. Pritzker and staff. However, in early November, Pritzker once again arbitrarily and illegally changed the rules and moved the goal posts, demolished them really, by suspending indoor dining. Seeing no other recourse, Coughlin chose to defy the Governor and the State of Illinois, as he declared: “I’m not going to be the guy with the boarded-up building because I follow somebody else’s science.”

 

It’s a flawed science at best.

 

Well before the end of August 2020, the facts made it clear. Covid is dangerous for select segments of any population center, but it has an infinitesimal and low death rate among the young and healthy.

 

Arlene’s Grocery, an iconic spot on the Lower East Side of New York City that helped budding young artists and musicians get their start, is now in danger of closing its doors, and it made the following appeal over the Thanksgiving Day holiday:

 

“Hit hard like many, the Covid pandemic has devastated our industry. After 25 years of serving the Lower East Side and giving a platform for musicians and artists alike, Arlene’s Grocery is on life support. Without any aid, we will not be able to continue to serve our community and will be closing our doors on February 1st (2021). The owners and staff members are absolutely heartbroken. Arlene’s has become home to so many over the years and we are in desperate need of your help.”

YES. Arlene’s needs YOUR help, the help of everyday Americans, not “stimulus” after “stimulus” that creates more troubles for the nation on down the road. if all businesses had taken this same action sooner and prodded our people from their homes, the situation would not be so dire at the moment. Blind obedience to a faulty, misleading and deceptive presentation of “the science” has driven us to this appointment with destiny, but it’s not too late to make a course correction.

 

How can we even still be at this point given all we now know, regarding Covid’s relative non-lethal results for the biggest portion of the population? We know for certain that 99.64 percent of everybody under the age of 18 survives Covid without any ill effects, and yet, we still have many asinine ongoing measures keeping schools closed in most states.

 

According to the Associated Press in November, five of the six U.S. states with the lowest unemployment rates have the fewest Covid-19 restrictions.

 

The Covid 19 measures are nothing less than a massive, corrupt, criminal overreach of power. They have no real basis in “the science” that is so often breathlessly touted by the petty tyrants, elected and unelected, who would be king and care not one wit for the Bill of Rights.

 

And while Governors, such as Andrew Cuomo of New York, ignore Supreme Court rulings calling their actions “UNCONSTITUTIONAL”, the upper-crust of society, those “elites” who cannot be trouble by the “Great Unwashed” of the madding masses, go about unaffected by any lockdowns, since they can comfortably work from home, most of the working and middle class Americans must actually show up to work, or they don’t receive a dime, and they certainly cannot work and care for their families under such restrictive and arbitrary rules and insane, suicidal lockdowns.

 

The solution for all of this is really pretty simple, but it requires all Americans to exhibit some backbone and a strong heart and will to do more than simply survive, by holding one’s hands out to the government, in pitiful hopes of receiving some small stimulus check that is a temporary and poor fix considering all that is at stake and the consequences if we stay the current course, without pushing back on these illegitimate, illegal executive orders, in the name of taking back our liberty, freedom and our lives.

 

The petty despots and tyrants of America have brought us a new virus, as they pretend to battle Covid-19. They’ve infected the nation with the virus of tyranny for which there isn’t any cure other than a righteous stand for freedom and liberty by America’s fine, good and decent patriots, moving in unison along any path necessary to prevent a communist takeover of America and the destruction of our Republic. This tyranny virus cannot be defeated through moderation or denying its existence. Extreme measures are friends of all who love America and liberty, in this war to remain free.

 

Americans must not be overwhelmed by their sadness over the situation, and they must not allow the Marxists, globalists and statists of both parties across the nation enforce a “new normal” that is anything but normal. This is a time to shake one’s self hard, slap one’s face in the mirror, and get damned good and angry over the dead and dying businesses in our communities. This is the time to open everything up and make the authorities move to arrest us, if they really see that as their “Constitutional duty”, in spite of the fact there is nothing Constitutional in such actions. It’s time to return to a true normal by getting angry as all hell and engaging in civil disobedience, in order to make a righteous stand against a dark and growing tyranny in the halls of our governments and in our lands.

 

The United States Constitution guarantees that all Americans in all fifty states will live under representative self-government in a republic and not under fascistic despots, wearing Nikes and shirts with Antifa, BLM and Che Guevara logos and carrying syringes in their neo-fascist toolkits. It’s time for any and all resistance against any government entity and any government agent, elected and unelected, that have shown so little regard for the lives of all Americans, so negatively impacted by their unscientific demands over the course of this so-called “pandemic”, even up to and including picking up one’s rifle and placing the fear of God in them, sending a few homes to their maker, if they insist on suppressing our Inalienable God-Given Rights.

Following up on the fact that nowhere in The United States Constitution does it state that there must be a separation between the church and the state, it only states that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” Because Congress was the Federal Government, this did not prohibit the states from establishing a recognized religion if they chose to, and many of them did.

 

For example, a couple of states made it a requirement to be of the Protestant faith to vote. Others required church attendance to vote. This did not make these laws right, and eventually they were all repealed, but that this was allowed proved that the states had authority to do such things under The Constitution. The Constitution only forbade Congress from establishing religion.

 

These religious test laws by some states were legal under The Constitution, but they were not right, and they did cause problems. The wisdom of how these matters could be worked out by the states while the whole country was not subjected to the turmoil they caused proved to be genius.

 

It has only been when the Federal Government started to exceed the authority given to it in The Constitution, and thereby encroach on the rights of the states and the people, that the turmoil and divisions this has caused became national and threatened to tear the nation apart. These unnecessary pressures will continue to grow until the Federal Government returns to its constitutional boundaries, and the rights of the states and the people that it has usurped is returned to them.

 

Concerning the proper and constitutional relationship between the church and the state, we have all likely witnessed men and women who were good friends ruin that friendship by getting married. It is a worthy goal for those who are married to be friends, but the love for each as friends may not work well in the more committed bonds of marriage. This is why many languages have different words for these two types of affection—friendship and romantic love. The point is that the church and the state should have a relationship as friends, but not marriage.

 

The church is called to be the bride of Christ, alone. In relation to the bride of Christ, the state is called to be like the eunuchs who provided security for the king and his bride. They defend her if necessary, but they can have no relationship with her beyond this.

 

When the relationship between church and state went beyond what it is supposed to be, it brought upon the earth the darkest of times—the Dark Ages. The abuses of the wrongful union of the church to the state was deeply impressed on the early Americans. Many had been witnesses to, or victims of, the horrible corruption that came from this wrongful union of the church and state in Europe, which culminated in the worst persecution in human history—The Inquisition.

 

The Inquisition was the persecution by Christians of other Christians and Jews. It was only possible by the institutional church being married to the state at that time. Christians and Jews who would not conform to the dogma of the institutional church of the time were slaughtered on an incomprehensible scale. Halley’s Bible Handbook estimates that up to 50 million of these non-conformist Christians and Jews were tortured and killed in The Inquisition. This number is corroborated by other historians. We can read in such works as Foxe’s Book of Martyrs the kind of demented and diabolical tortures used by The Inquisition. This was truly one of mankind’s darkest hours, and done in the name of Christ by the harlot church that had wrongfully married the state.

 

With many of the first colonists being victims of this persecution—and the leaders of the independence movement in America knowing their stories well—when The British imposed a law on the colonies that no minister of the gospel could be licensed except through The Church of England, it was intolerable to the colonists.

 

The Founders of the American Republic were resolute in ensuring that such a thing would never happen in America. To do this they established the government first and foremost on the freedom of religion, resolving to keep the Federal Government out of religion, but a protector of religious freedom.

 

As the Jews of Europe were persecuted along with the Protestants and other Christian movements, they also fled to America to escape. They were both welcomed and honored by their Christian fellow colonists. Those of other religions, or no religion, also found in America the tolerance and freedom they had not found anywhere else in the world. America was born as a haven for religiously persecuted people.

 

The American Founders were resolved to keep the church and state as separate entities, but it was clearly to keep the state out of the church’s business, not the other way around. We must then ask, how did The Supreme Court and many lower courts issue so many decisions prohibiting the free exercise of religion?  By blatantly violating The Constitution and The First Amendment. The leadership of Congress was too weak or inept to confront this tyrannical abuse by the judiciary.

 

If our Republic is to be preserved, we must recover the fact that The Supreme Court is not the “supreme law of the land”—The Constitution is. The Supreme Court has made many unconstitutional decisions in its history, some of which were reversed by later courts, but many have not. In recent times it is piling them up almost yearly because it has now departed so far from the lane The Constitution gave to the judiciary. If this is not corrected, it will soon cause the destruction of the Republic, just as Jefferson and other Founders warned.

 

We will cover these violations of The Constitution in more detail in future Briefs, along with the devastating impact they have had on the nation. The Judicial Branch may have been the biggest culprit in this, but all three branches are guilty of deviating from the clear and limited authority given to the Federal Government by The Constitution. The stress this has put on the entire country has us at the breaking point. Under The Constitution, the people are the sovereign. The longer we wait to demand that our Federal Government obey The Constitution, the greater the cost it will be to save our Republic.

When I took history and government in school, many critical issues were misrepresented, given short shrift, or even ignored entirely. And those lacunae undermined my ability to adequately understand many things. Randall Holcombe’s new book, Liberty in Peril: Democracy and Power in American History, fills in some very substantial gaps, particularly with regard to American constitutionalism and how it has morphed from protecting liberty to advancing democracy at the expense of liberty. It does so with a host of novel and important insights rather than the disinterest generated by the books I suffered through in school.

 

The Role of Government 

Holcombe gets right to the main point:

 

The role of government as [America’s founders] saw it, was to protect the rights of individuals, and the biggest threat to individual liberty was the government itself. So they designed a government with constitutionally limited powers, constrained to carry out only those activities specifically allowed by the Constitution. This book describes how the fundamental principle underlying American government has been transformed from protecting individual liberty to carrying out the will of the people, as revealed by a democratic decision-making process. (p. xxii)

 

Holcombe begins by laying out the case that “the Founders had no intention of creating a democracy, in the sense of a government that would be guided by popular opinion,” (p. 5) in sharp contrast to current “understanding.” And what makes the transformation from a central focus on liberty to a central focus on democracy that routinely invades liberty particularly significant is that

 

the powers embodied in America’s twenty-first-century democratic government are those that eighteenth-century Americans revolted against to escape. (p. 7)

 

Since I do not have the space to dissect all of the issues in Liberty in Peril, I would like to highlight a few particularly noteworthy things.

 

Holcombe starts with John Locke, which is a common place to start for those interested in advancing liberty. But he also calls attention to Cato’s Letters, which was one of the most influential—but now almost completely ignored—influences leading to the birth of the American Revolution. I have long been struck by how many of the insights our founders are credited with that actually trace back there (see the first major chapter of my book Lines of Liberty), and I echo Holcombe’s invitation for more people to discover it.

 

Are Liberty and Democracy Complementary? 

Liberty in Peril challenges the typical current presumption that liberty and democracy are complementary.

 

The principle of liberty suggests that first and foremost, the government’s role is to protect the rights of individuals. The principle of democracy suggests that collective decisions are made according to the will of the majority…The greater the allowable scope of democracy in government, the greater the threat to liberty…In particular, the ascendency of the concept of democracy threatens the survival of the free market economy, which is an extension of the Founders’ views on liberty. (pp. 14-15)

 

This is reflected in the changing nature of elections.

 

At one time, elections might have been viewed as a method of selecting competent people to undertake a job with constitutionally-specified limits. With the extension of democracy, elections became referendums on public policy. (p. 20)

 

Consensus vs. Democracy

The book also challenges commonly held presumptions that our Founders wanted democracy. But while “the Founders wanted those in charge of government’s operations to be selected by a democratic process,” they “also wanted to insulate those who ran the government from direct influence by its citizens” because “[b]y insulating political decision-makers from directs accountability to citizens, the government would be in a better position to adhere to its constitutionally-mandated limits.” (p. 15)

 

“Thus, the Constitution created a limited government designed to protect liberty, not to foster democracy.” (p. 16) But the United States “consistently has moved toward more democracy, and the unintended side effect has been a reduction in liberty.” (p. 25)

 

Holcombe lays out issues of consensus versus democracy, with consensus illustrated by market systems in which all those whose property rights are involved agree to transactions, (p. 29) but in government, “a group is able to undertake more extensive collective action if it requires less consensus to act.” (p. 30) And the slippery slope is that

 

[t]he more citizens want to further national goals through government action, the less consensus they will demand in the collective decision-making process. (p. 33)

 

An In-Depth Study of the Constitution

Another notable aspect of Liberty in Peril is how far beyond the typical discussion of constitutional issues it goes, substantially expanding readers’ understanding in intriguing ways. For instance, how many Americans know of the Iroquois Constitution, which focused on unanimity? How many are aware of the Albany Plan of Union, drawn up in 1754, or how it was influenced by the Iroquois Constitution? How many know that a “clear chain of constitutional evolution proceeds from the Albany Plan of Union to the Articles of Confederation to the Constitution of the United States”? (p. 43)

 

How many have noticed that “when compared with the Articles of Confederation, the Constitution clearly less constraining than the document it supplanted…the Constitution did not limit the powers of government; it expanded them”? (p. 48) Yet,

 

[w]hile the authors of the Constitution did deliberately expand the powers of the federal government, they just as deliberately tried to prevent the creation of a democratic government. (p. 52)

 

How many are aware of what the Confederate Constitution tells us about the US Constitution and the drift from its principles since its adoption, especially because “the problems that the authors of the Confederate Constitution actually did address were overwhelmingly associated with the use of legislative powers to impose costs on the general public to provide benefits to narrow constituencies”? (p. 107)

 

The Constitution often is portrayed as a document that limits the power of the federal government and guarantees the liberty of its citizens…When compared to the Articles of Confederation, the Constitution places less constraint on the federal government and allows those who run the government more discretion and autonomy and less accountability. The adoption of the Constitution enhanced the powers of government and laid the foundation for two centuries of government growth. (pp. 66-67)

 

The Elitist Constitution

Holcombe’s section on “The Elitist Constitution” is fascinating. It lays out the case for why “[t]he Constitution devised democratic processes for collective decision-making, but the Founders had no intention of designing a government that would respond to the will of the majority,” (p. 70) as illustrated by the fact that citizens “had almost no direct input into the federal government as the Constitution was originally written and ratified.” (p. 70)

 

The section on the Electoral College is even more striking, as it stands in sharp variance from the presumptions behind almost the entire current debate over the National Popular Vote compact:

 

[A]t the time the Constitution was written the Founders anticipated that in most cases no candidate would receive votes from a majority of the electors. The Founders reasoned that most electors would vote for one candidate from their own states…and it would be unlikely that voting along state lines would produce any candidate with a majority of the votes. (p. 75)

 

Consequently,

 

The Founders envisioned that in most cases the president would end up being chosen by the House of Representatives from the list of the top-five electoral vote recipients…Furthermore, there was no indication that the number of electoral votes received should carry any weight besides creating a list of the top five candidates…The process was not intended to be democratic. (p. 76)

 

I found the issues discussed above to be of particular interest. But there is far more in the book to learn from, and often be surprised by, in comparison to what history courses usually teach.

 

America’s Evolution Away From Founding Values

Such issues include the evolution of parties, the influence of Andrew Jackson, who “fought for democracy, but, ironically, the result of making the nation’s government more democratic has been to expand the scope and power of government in response to popular demands for govern programs,” (p. 91) which “the Founders foresaw and tried to guard against by limiting the role of democracy in their new government,” (p. 91), the War Between the States (“the single most important event in the transformation of American government,” (p. 93) including the elimination of state succession as a real possibility, the Reconstruction Era amendments, the origins of interest group politics, the evolution of federal regulatory power, the evolution of the incentives of civil servants, the Sixteenth Amendment (income tax) as “a response to the demand for a larger federal government,” (p. 149) a different take on the 1920s, in which “[f]ar from representing a retreat from progressivism, the 1920s extended the now-established orthodoxy, (p. 154) added insight into the New Deal and the courts, Social Security as the “one New Deal program for the responsibility for fundamentally transforming the historical, constitutional role of the federal government,” (p. 175) how “The Great Society represents the ultimate triumph of democracy, because for the first time a major expansion in the scope of government was based on the demands of the electorate, with no extenuation circumstances” (p. 205), and far more.

 

In sum, there are very many good reasons to recommend Liberty in Peril. In it, Randall Holcombe provides not just a powerful and insightful look into crucial aspects of America’s evolution away from the principles of the revolution that created it but also an important warning:

 

Unfortunately, many Americans do not appear to fully understand these dangers as they continue to push the foundations of their government away from liberty and toward democracy. (p. 225)

Be very alert my fellow Conservative Americans!

 

I’m on the email list of Israpundit. Israpundit is a Pro-Israel blog founded and operated by Ted Belman. Israpundit does a lot of the same thing I do in cross posting interesting content from other sources. My Israpundit email list for 8/25/19 had the title “Who Is Antifa?” by Ray DiLorenzo of “STAND UP AMERICA” listed fifth. With all the Antifa violence going on, especially in Portland Oregon, the title piqued my interest.

 

Before I followed through with a cross post myself, I thought I’d do a little checking into Stand Up America. So I Googled it (Yeah I know, I should have Duck Duck Go’d it). I typed in “Stand Up America” and went to the first entry on the Google search engine. I was stunned!

 

The page loading from https://www.standupamerica.com/ is the word “RESIST” in large bold caps. Realizing these days that “RESIST” is the mantra of the Dems to all things relating to the Trump Administration, I warily scrolled down. Here are the words that greeted my curiosity:

 

“WE ARE STAND UP AMERICA

 

After the 2016 election, millions of progressives came together in the Stand Up America community to resist Trump’s dangerous agenda. We’re now focusing our efforts on standing up to the Trump administration’s corruption and strengthening our democracy across the country. We’re committed to providing you with the information you need to take timely, impactful action and make your voice heard.”

 

I thought, “WHAT?!” That description didn’t sound like a website that would expose Antifa but rather a website that would promote Antifa ideology. So I went to the website’s About Page for further clarification:

 

“WHAT WE DO — AND WHY WE DO IT:

 

Stand Up America began in the weeks after the 2016 election, when hundreds of thousands of concerned Americans came together online to organize and resist Trump’s dangerous agenda. Our community has quickly grown to over two million Americans, across all 50 states, who are taking action and making their voices heard daily.

 

We’re focused on advocating for an immediate impeachment inquiry to air the evidence of Trump’s crimes, standing up to his administration’s corruption, and strengthening our democracy across the country.

My God! Stand Up America sounds like a hate America-hate Trump Antifa sympathetic website. That couldn’t possibly be the folks Israpundit was cross posting to expose the Communist background of anti-American ideals of Antifa, right?

 

So I came to my senses and Duck Duck Go’d “Stand Up America” coupled with the author of the Israpundit exposé post’s name – Ray DiLorenzo.

 

And Shazam! I discovered DiLorenzo’s name was associated with another “Stand Up America.” To be precise though, the name is “STAND UP AMERICA US FOUNDATION.” And the URL is “http://www.standupamericaus.org/sua/”. The key being evil “Stand Up America” is a dot-com and good “Stand Up America” is a dot-org.

 

Stand Up America US’s About Page promotes the American principles of the U.S. Republic the Founding Fathers would have been proud. And NOT the concepts of “Democracy” that would have Founders churning in their graves:

Antifaschistische Aktion, abbreviated as Antifa or anti-fascist, was an organization affiliated with the Communist Party of Germany that existed from 1932 to 1933. In the postwar era the historical organization inspired new groups and networks, known as the wider Antifa movement, many of which use the aesthetics of the historical Antifaschistische Aktion, especially a modified version of its logo. There is much confusion as to who Antifa is, and what they stand for. First, let’s define fascism that they say they are against: Fascism is a set of political beliefs that includes strong control of society and the economy by the state, and the halting of any resistance. In a fascist nation, private enterprise would continue, but all private commercial endeavors would be heavily controlled by the state. Examples would be Nazi Germany and Mussolini’s Italy.

 

In a Communist society, all means of production would be owned and controlled by the state. Communism is theoretically classless and egalitarian. In reality, the ruling class always does very well. Examples would be the former Soviet Union, Communist China, Cuba, Vietnam, Laos and North Korea. All have had to introduce some form of capitalism to survive, some more than others. There are no pure Marxist systems in existence today. It simply does not work.

 

Hitler expelled the Communists from Germany in the early thirties as they were stealing his thunder and his voice. The Fuhrer was very impressed with Mussolini’s fascism and how effective it was, hence the fascist/Nazi alignment during World War II. These deported German Communists hit the U.S. college circuit, joining every major university, until they have now almost completely taken over our education system.

 

Fascism and Communism are not opposite ends of the spectrum, rather, they are first cousins on the left. Both are secular socialist with power being absolute with no opposition tolerated, especially from God. No natural rights, only that which they choose to dispense.

 

On Monday, a disenchanted former Antifa member was interviewed on Fox News. He was as confused as so many others. He called Antifa the real fascists. No, they are not fascists. Antifa was and is primarily a global Communist movement using fascist tactics…breaking up meetings, rallies, destroying property, clubbing a few people, etc. They use the moniker ‘anti-fascist’ to keep you confused with no idea as to their real intentions. Democrats don’t speak out because they are close relations…the militant wing of the party doing the dirty work, but keeping enough space between them to distract you. Democrats are not strangers to militant wings, hence the KKK.

 

They both have all the earmarks of beginning as organized crime. If someone wants free stuff from the government, they vote or support those that promise it. The money is taken from those that do work (oppressors) and gives it to those who won’t work (the oppressed). It’s a social & political contract. Give me power, I give you free stuff and will protect your receivership. Of course, if you give them enough power you will eventually no longer have a vote or a choice in the matter or even the free stuff.

 

Democrats love to promise what they know is impossible just to sit back and watch the Republicans say no, and then with expressions of righteous indignation explain in a press conference that Republicans just don’t care. Republicans fall for it every time.

 

Antifa are people that have been indoctrinated that America is an illegitimate country, built on the backs of slaves, racist to its very core where common citizens, especially those of color, have no chance at a decent life. They have been stirred up to a point of hate. They are either ignorant of history or just lying to themselves.

 

To Antifa, anyone that disagrees with them, is not entitled to free speech. Heck, anyone who disagrees with Democrats is labeled a racist, homophobe, whatever. They both see themselves as the arbiters of morality even while they are assaulting people and killing babies. Conservatives are not fascist. If there are fascists in this country, they will reside in the Democrat Party. What group of politicians works the hardest to control every aspect of commerce and limit freedoms?

 

If a group is going to seize power or arrange a civil war, you need a reason and that always points to a class of people, a faction, an enemy. And the Left is busy creating just that…an enemy they need to destroy in order to achieve their ends. You know, the middle class ‘racists’, ‘white supremacists’, ‘deplorables’, conservatives…all the people that are representative of the people that built this country. That would be everyone that isn’t a socialist, whatever the race. Hitler and Stalin would be proud.

 

The immediate goal of Antifa and the Left is to create chaos with anarchy close behind. The Antifa website, itsgoingdown.org admits that Antifa members are either Marxists, Maoists or anarchists. They urge their followers to make the country ungovernable and to participate in mass insurrection and physical violence….anarchy.

 

Many Democrat-controlled cities are close to anarchy now. San Francisco and Los Angeles are becoming unlivable. Dallas will not bother prosecuting theft unless it is over $750. Even the New York Times admits that Democrat-controlled cities are unlivable and that is saying a lot.

 

Why does the Left ignore Antifa? Why do they demand that prison populations be reduced? Why is the rule of law being assaulted? If violent demonstrations and mass shootings continue…the people will demand a heavy-handed response from the government…especially gun confiscation, making the country ripe for takeover. I am not convinced that the mass shootings as of late are totally unrelated. They seem to fit the intention nicely. Do not assume they wouldn’t stoop to such a low.

 

Who is funding Antifa has proven difficult. They are highly decentralized with loose affiliations with other groups. What we do know is that the Democrat Party and George Soros have used paid protest organizers and protesters in the past. We don’t believe the protesters are motivated by money, but rather their hatred of America. George Soros has an affiliation with Antifa through a group called The Alliance for Global Justice that supports Refuse Fascism, an Antifa group. Their goal is to “Drive out the Trump/Pence regime.”

 

There is no strong Fascist movement in America, but there is a strong Communist presence. Popular phrases such as social justice that Obama put into fashion are popular communist signals. The movement is now filled with every disenchanted dirt bag, with built-in Antifa Brown Shirts in attendance in case you’re not listening. This is no longer politics, but an attempt at a Communist/Socialist takeover of this country.

 

As we get closer to the 2020 election, and especially if the Democrats lose, I see cities like Portland, Oregon and a town near you descending into total chaos as the Left gets more aggressive in their attempt to be rid of Trump and the America we love.

 

If we do not get a handle on this problem soon, Western civilization will resemble a post-apocalyptic Mel Gibson movie.

It is a bit of an alienating experience for one to see the nation of his birth and the principles of our ancestors under constant assault, from foreigners and people born here who are amerikkans rather than Americans. I refer to those Muslims who desire Sharia law, the Black Muslims who simply hate America, La Raza with its Hispanic communists and conquerors who want to reclaim the Southwest for Mexico, the communist Democrat Party that seeks the eradication of our Founding Principles and the destruction of our Constitution and Republic, and those communist proletarians, the TAKERS, who seek their upkeep and livelihood at the expense of the U.S. taxpayer.

 

But I am not powerless, even in my moments of weakness when I feel a bit lonely in the realization that far too many Americans are not concerned, as much as they should be over these developments. Although I may still suffer over the suffering of others, I know a better way than the “fundamental transformation” [Blog Editor: Essays of interest on Obama fundamental transformation – HERE and HERE] of America and “Democratic” Socialism exists for Us all; having things has never been so important to me as having Quality of Life and Liberty, and I intend to fight ’til my last dying gasp to keep this America, I love so well, on a path towards the greatest Freedom and Liberty for All.

 

And as I stand firm against the rising tide of statists and globalists, I do not doubt my convictions and my rightness in this war for the heart and soul of America.

 

I have not lost my sense of duty and dignity, and I am not for sale, no matter how much the Leftists of America try to isolate me from the public square, through their politically correct Commie castigation and censorship. I remain the same man I have always been — Free and Unashamed to be an American for ANY reason. I will never be coerced or forced to abandon the TRUTH and bow at the altar of the Super State, the Leviathan.

 

You are not powerless either. All of You out there … All of You Fine American Patriots … have it within You to effect the changes You wish to see, in the manner in which We are all governed.

 

If You Love Freedom, Independence and Liberty, surely You have the clarity of a normal mind that finds joy in a life lived well and free, unlike the insane hive of the collectivists and communists and those anti-American proponents of Big Government, government intrusions, overregulation, Open Borders and tyranny. Rather than hope these sick Evil individuals will cure themselves or try to find compromises where none exist, or, worse yet, try to adapt Yourself to a failed system, FIGHT for greater INDEPENDENCE and True LIBERTY for All Americans, and FIGHT for America’s Original Founding Principles, Her Traditions and Her Heritage.

 

I long to see the insanity within our society end. For too long now, we have allowed those who call evil “good” to control the direction of America. For myself, I will never validate or accept their depravity, seen in abortion, and perversion, flaunted in “Gay Pride” parades, homosexual marriage and child pornography, as the “new normal”. I will never accept their Open Borders and their intent to destroy the United States’ Sovereignty.

 

It is time to end this madness, that is allowing the enemies of America to rip apart the fabric of society and Her Founding and destroy everything good and decent about Her. End it now, however You must.

Dems Betraying America – It will be Stopped One Way or Another

Yesterday Danny Jeffrey wrote what many Conservative Patriots will find disturbing. Danny lays out the scenario of the Republican Establishment Elites running the GOP to the detriment of the Conservative vision to keep America great. Danny points out the Senator Cruz could be the last hope for a Reagan-like figure to set the ship of our Republic aright. He believes that never will happen because of the collusion of the GOP Establishment with the Leftist (Danny prefers the term “Progressive”) Dems in maintaining corruption duping America’s voters. Below is the comment I posted to his essay entitled “THIRTY PIECES OF SILVER”:

 

Danny I sense that your outlook on America’s elections and America’s ruling elite among both the Dems and the GOP is very prescient. In my case I am probably one of those hard cases that desires to retain faith in the Constitutional process that America still enjoys. However, the scenario you have developed is extremely plausible. And that plausibility is very said for me.

 

A coup d’état by American Generals is also plausible. After all history shows us that when the Roman Republic’s governing situation became too corrupt with deceit, bribes and manipulating the favor of Roman citizens eventually led to the Roman factions vying for popular Generals. Julius Caesar won. Then Octavius Caesar managed a coalition of winning Roman Generals that defeated die-hard Republic supporters (the supporters who were still faction oriented subject to bribes and corruption).

 

If the Constitutional process fails as you predict, then the American Republic will probably evolve to some kind of one-man rule able to maintain some kind coalition of Generals.

 

I neglected to mention that Octavius was Julius’ nephew and became what is consider the first Emperor of Rome. Julius’ family name became synonymous – Caesar – with Emperor for centuries of the Roman Empire. Octavius was considered a benevolent leader compared to future Caesars that would rule Rome. Octavius’ (or Octavian) named was changed to Augustus as a name of honor. His reign was about 45 years ending in 14 AD.

 

If the government becomes so corrupt that We the People and some annoyed people of power grow weary of the corruption maintained by the Dems and the apparent collusion of the Republican Establishment, could Senator Ted Cruz be America’s Octavius?

 

As I said I still have faith in the Constitution of America’s Republic. A coup d’état that threw off the Left Wing agenda would still be a government that would break the existence of that Constitution. America might remain great but for very different reasons than our Constitution made America great.

 

The only way to preserve America’s Constitution legacy is for a Ted Cruz-type leader to grip the attention of American voters either by taking over the GOP, forming a viable alternative political party or by forcing the constitutional path to a Constitutional convention in which delegates are chosen on a grassroots level rather than any political party national leadership.

The term ‘Thirty pieces of silver’ always invokes the image of betrayal, and so you probably know where this essay is leading.

I have long written of my belief that there is NO political solution to the problems we face today. This one essay, Tahrir Square U.S.A., dates back to February of 2014. Allow me to offer an excerpt:

 

‘I make no secret of the fact that I have absolutely no belief that there is a political solution to today’s problems. No election is going to alter the course of this nation. If that course is to be altered it will be done only with an uprising of our people as we witnessed occurring in Tahrir Square in Egypt. Anything less and we are simply delaying until tomorrow what should have been done years ago.’

‘In a recent essay Of Moral Leaders And Sleeper Cells In The GOP I put forth the idea that the 2014 election that so many look forward to will change nothing. Even if we hold the House and gain the Senate the GOP is so heavily infiltrated by Progressives we are still on the road to ruin. The numbers that really matter are not Republicans vs Democrats, it is Progressives vs Patriots. That is where we come up short.’


Sadly most Americans have not yet come to the same realization that I did years ago. They, still following in the same beaten paths that their parents trod, grumble in near silence and await the next election when we hope we will get it right. My friends there will be no next election. Before November of 2016 we will see widespread anarchy and chaos, a financial collapse, and martial law. It is beginning right now. If in the unlikely event an election does come about it will simply be a well choreographed sham to appease those who still have not been able to comprehend what has already taken place.

One after another conservative ‘heroes’ have stepped forth uttering the right words and American conservatives have swooned over their new found messiah. Then one after another those messiahs have proven to have feet of clay as one after another they sold us out.

The one exception to that thus far, and I do believe him to be a man of true integrity, is Ted Cruz. Today, the frightened, the weary, and the desperate turn to Senator Cruz as our last and only hope. I hope that you choose to read past the bad news as that is where you will discover the truth.

The Bad News: Ted Cruz will never be President unless the American military stages a coup d’état and puts him into the Oval Office.

The Truth:

We hope to rid this nation of its emperor. Short of assuming the temporary powers of an emperor Ted Cruz could not possibly govern.

Here is why:

 
I am not telling you anything new in writing that the Democratic leadership sold us out long ago and have now become the next best thing to communists. Nor am I telling you anything new in writing that the GOP is in hot pursuit, following their Democratic allies to the far left, leaving us high and dry, leaderless and unrepresented in the process.

Years ago I wrote that there would never be another like Reagan. I grow more certain of that fact with each passing day, even though Cruz seems to have the same vision that Reagan once had. However, in this day and age Senator Cruz is the odd man out. The problem is that prior to Reagan the Progressives had been slowly changing our laws, taking over a little at a time then Reagan rocked the boat, and put America back on course. Years ago I wrote that the Progressives would never allow this to happen again. Today I am more convinced than then that I was correct.

Ronald Reagan was a man with a dream and he largely fulfilled that dream to the benefit of the American public, but he did not get into office without help from the leaders of the Republican Party. He did not choose George H.W. Bush as his running mate. The powers that be did, knowing that Bush would in all likelihood become the next President. He did indeed and shortly announced the coming of the New World Order (Video).

 

The NWO which I now refer to as Transnational Progressives will never again allow one such as Ronald Reagan or Ted Cruz to influence the direction of world events. Nor will they ever allowPrince Charles as Muslim Jihadi another such as Margaret Thatcher in England. Today we have the likes of David Cameron telling his people they should be more like the Muslims and a member of the royal family leading the way. This is not just happening in the U.S., this progressive movement is gaining control of all of the nations of the west, and this is the group to which our elected officials are selling out. You have all heard of George Soros; he is but the front man, liking the lime light.

But out of desperation, hundreds of pro-Ted Cruz groups are forming, and many thousands of frightened followers believe him to be our last hope. Let us be realistic. I stated above that short of being emperor, Cruz could not govern. I shall now explain why.

So many have posted the rallying cry of ‘Impeach Obama’. That will never happen as none in the Democratic Party and few in the GOP would vote for such a thing. Today … Here and now … Put Ted Cruz into the oval office and ALL Democrats and Most Republicans would vote for impeachment. Senator Cruz is one brave man and he has often revealed the intent of the Republican elite to you, making him none too popular with the puppet masters of the GOP and their puppet masters in the worldwide progressive movement. So many from his own party would love to have Cruz’s head on a platter.

Obama has enemies to be certain, but not nearly as many as Ted Cruz. Hussein, knowing the ways of communism, has much in common with Joseph Stalin, including the practice of ‘Keep your friends close but keep your enemies even closer.’ Those who have opposed Obama have been bought off one at a time and brought into the fold; thirty pieces of silver, or perhaps thirty million. The exact terms of their capitulation matters not, but they each had their price.

Ted Cruz buys none. As a man of honor he appeals to the sense of honor he expects of his fellow Republicans, not yet understanding that they have none. The following two paragraphs are excerpted from my last essay Conservatives In Fantasy Land Part Two, to illustrate my point:

Reread Ted Cruz’s last sentence in the above excerpt. Why would he sound as though he is almost begging his fellow Republicans to honor their promise to the American people. Why should such a man have to beg? Should we not, in all fairness, expect them to honor their words?

 

 

But … are they doing what they said that they would do?

I have used the following before to warn you of the traitors in the GOP. I use it here to illustrate why the same GOP will never allow Cruz to be elected, and I shall probably use it again when the situation demands for it is a powerful statement of fact.

There are 435 members of the House, and to pass this bill, Boehner and his allies—including Louisiana’s Republican Whip Steve Scalise and California’s Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy—need to get 218 votes. There are 234 Republicans in the House as the 113th Congress finishes its final days of the lame duck post-election session, meaning Boehner could theoretically pass a bill that all Republicans agree with.


But according to Arizona Republican Rep. Matt Salmon, a conservative, there are at least 50 Republicans—probably more—who won’t vote for this bill. If even 18 Republicans vote against the bill, that means Boehner needs Nancy Pelosi and her top lieutenant Steny Hoyer to get to 218.

Now look at the numbers above. 234 Republicans in the House. Fifty of them may choose to oppose Obama’s treason. That is less than one in four Republicans, and counting the whole House, less than one in eight.

This is why I am telling you that Ted Cruz cannot get elected nor govern. Traitors far outnumber our patriots. The traitors could block his every move and pass anything they so choose, and when he vetoed their treachery, they would simply override the veto. This has always been the American way, and now it is being turned into a weapon against us.

I feel that Ted Cruz has the makings of a Reagan, a Lincoln, or a Jefferson, but he never will do so because he is in the wrong country. That comment has nothing to do with the debate about being born in Canada and his eligibility to run. It is my reflections on a statement made by John Adams so many years ago.

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

Ted Cruz is a man who believes in and would govern by the Constitution, but our people, due to their failing morality, parted company with the Constitution long ago. I cannot help but feel that so many our of (sic) citizens are undeserving of a man such as Senator Cruz.

Take a hop with me across the pond to the Netherlands where another great patriot is being hounded by the progressive overlords. Geert Wilders had the courage to warn his people of the Islamic danger, but such warnings are not politically correct. In fact a man can go to jail for speaking out against Islam.

… My first website [Blog Editor: i.e. Freedom Rings 1776] was named with a sense of optimism, while this one is from a sense of desperation, for we are most assuredly losing in the political arena. Since Obama was first chosen by the Progressive overlords, we have been subjected to betrayal, deceit, a loss of liberty, and rampant corruption, and as an honest people, we simply do not know how to engage on their terms.

We seek truth while they propagate lies. We hope to engage in honest debate, but the Progressives shun that honesty for it exposes their plan of domination, while liberals turn away choosing not to know the truth. We hear epithets such as ‘Racists’, “Bigots’, ‘War on Women’, and ‘Islamophobia’, while they delude America with feel good platitudes about ‘equality’, ‘fairness’, ‘helping the poor’, and ‘sharing the wealth’; the very things the Founders warned about.

Look at the vicious attacks launched on those such as Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Ted Cruz, Luis Gohmert, and many others. The success of those attacks can be laid squarely in the laps of our RINOs, for they have infiltrated what was once the party of Lincoln and Reagan, and smear any who have the courage to stand for the Constitution. These traitors to us, their party, and our country, march in lockstep with our enemy for they have given their final seal of approval on what is to become of this nation.

I no longer sign petitions, phone my Representative, Email my Progressive Senators, or believe that there is any political solution to today’s events, or the slightest hope of change in elections to come. Our enemies own the voting machines and adjust the vote as they deem appropriate. They allow people such as John McCain, Lindsey Graham, John Boehner, and Chris Christie to remain in office to foster the myth that the Republican Party is still viable and fighting for America, but this is no more than illusion, smoke and mirrors!

Such traitors have charted our course, and if we continue on the path they have laid out then we may as well take down the Stars and Stripes, and retire that noble standard with a solemn dignity, then behold the specter as the world slips into another dark age of a thousand years.

The entire Democratic Party has morphed into the American Communist Party, with the elite of the GOP following in hot pursuit, leaving us, the conservatives behind. They seek the votes of the growing multitude of those who put their own private agenda ahead of the entire future of the United States.

In short, I have cast off all of my once held beliefs in the wisdom of ‘The People’. They are not wise. They are greedy, self centered, self serving, and could give a hoot less about what is happening to this once great nation. Of such people and their future I have no concern. I find strength in the company of those who still care for what this country was in our younger days, for they are the ones who have long carried the burden and kept the torch of freedom aglow.

We may well find that our efforts are too little and too late, but if freedom is ever restored it will be due to our efforts, and ours alone. Justin Smith writes a brilliant piece on President Barack Hussein Obama’s immigration amnesty speech notifying America on television he has the constitutional authority to provide amnesty on his terms for illegal aliens (the more pc term these days is illegal immigrants) coming and staying in America beyond the rule of law’s stipulations.

BUT dear God in Heaven, there is more than enough constitutional criteria to impeach Obama and to convict him.

 

If the Republicans fail to make a substantial effort to smear the Dems’ faces with the legitimate impeachable criteria, then Justin’s solution in his last paragraph becomes a greater possibility to occur!

A Constitutional Crisis

A Republic Lost

No U.S. President has the right to destroy the U.S. Constitution and completely disregard it, in the course of his duty to all Americans. We are supposed to be a nation of laws, but on November 20, 2014 Obama became a rogue president, and he unilaterally declared amnesty for 30 million illegal aliens, by my count, as he violated the principles of separation of powers that serve as the bulwark to protect our liberties, defying the American people, the election results and usurping the legislative process and essentially saying “to hell with the Constitution.”

 

President Obama has threatened to enact an “immigration reform bill” through executive order for months now, if Congress did not pass a bill he could sign, even though the real issue is not one of reforms but rather one of enforcement. All the “immigration reform” in the world will not matter in the face of a Congress reluctant to enforce the law. This is the reason the Secure Fence Act of 2006 still leaves a fence with holes in it, and our southern border is porous as ever.

 

Article I Section 8 of the Constitution gives Congress exclusive authority to “establish a uniform Rule of Naturalization … “And it is the president’s Constitutional duty under Article II Section 3, to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed … .”

 

Can anyone point to a single provision, Article or Section of the Constitution that suspends the principles of separation of powers and supersedes Congressional authority anytime a president, in his sole discretion, decides such because Congress hasn’t met his legislative demands?

 

This new Executive Amnesty of Obama’s will protect approximately 5 million illegal aliens from deportation and grant them work permits, according to Josh Earnst, Press Secretary, and other White House sources. Other than certain far-left, fringe progressive law professors, who advocate a post-Constitutional America, no one seriously believes that Obama has the authority to do this, even under “prosecutorial discretion,” and not a single Democrat has been able to cite any authority for this act.

 

Immediately after Obama’s Executive Amnesty Speech, Representative Trey Gowdy (R-SC) stated, “Attempts to undermine the law via executive fiat, regardless of motivation, are dangerous. The President himself recognized his inability to do [this] …” in the past.

 

Twenty-two times Obama has stated that he does not have the legal or Constitutional authority to grant amnesty to millions, once saying he is not an “emperor” but a president. He even argued against amnesty in his 2006 book ‘The Audacity of Hope’.

 

The Obama administration is now justifying Obama’s action through prosecutorial discretion, as they contend that he can decide which groups of immigrants should be a priority. Obama is also arguing that he can go further and use “deferred action” to formally protect certain immigrants from deportation.

Significant differences exist between Obama’s recent EO and President Ronald Reagan’s 1987 policy. Reagan deferred deportation for children of illegal aliens, who had been granted amnesty, placing them on a path to becoming naturalized citizens, which was the general intent of Congress at the time, since a “one time” blanket amnesty had just passed. Obama is going against the will of Congress again, which considered and rejected his DREAM Act on several occasions, including when both houses of Congress were controlled by the Democratic Party.

 

Obama is bypassing Congress entirely. He is unConstitutionally revising existing law and, without Congressional approval, imposing new ones that have been explicitly rejected by Congress numerous times, thereby acting like the emperor of immigration policy.

 

Rep Louie Gohmert (R-TX) said, “Tonight President Obama issued a royal decree, as any good monarch would do … This president is single handedly creating a Constitutional crisis and hurting the citizens he took an oath to protect and defend.”

 

James Madison wrote in Federalist Paper #47, “the accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.”

 

One countermeasure is to defund all non-essential government agencies, since the U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services is self-funded through immigration application fees, according to House Appropriations Committee Chairman Hal Rogers (R-KY). Defunding most of the government will force Obama to choose between his Executive Amnesty or a government shutdown, and Congress should not be afraid or balk at using this option. A government shutdown would show Obama that the Republicans are willing to fight.

In a Fox News appearance, Rep Michele Bachmann (R-MN) called on Americans to rally on December 3rd at high noon on the west steps of the Capitol and tell Congress to “defund amnesty.”

 

Speaker John Boehner’s lawsuit against Obama’s executive overreach, represented by George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley, is a sham. Everybody understands that Obama will be gone by the time it is settled, and his Executive Amnesty will have become de facto law, unless a successor has the guts to rescind it. One must wonder if Boehner and Senator Mitch McConnell are siding with Obama, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Wall Street Journal, because McConnell stated “there won’t be any shutdowns on my watch” after winning re-election.

 

It is no accident that the Constitution’s first substantive words are “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States.” Because of the problems experienced through delegated authority in England, the Framers understood that such authority, currently utilized by today’s U.S. Congress in empowering Presidential Executive orders, leads to dangerous absolutism – extra-legal, supra-legal and consolidated power. And, although the Constitution carefully barred this threat, Constitutional doctrine has since legitimized this dangerous sort of power; therefore, Americans should no longer accept some vague notion of “rule of law” that allows uncontrolled delegation through executive orders, but rather, Americans must demand rule through the law and under the law.

 

If the Republicans in Congress do not act more forcefully than a lawsuit by March 10th, by March 15th every Son and Daughter of Liberty, who loves America, must arm themselves and march on the Capitol Building and the White House, prepared to fight if necessary, to end this elective despotism, or otherwise, accept that the Republic, the rule of law and Freedom in America have vanished. Americans must not let any President place himself above the Constitution and accountability to the American people he is duty bound to defend and protect.

Our Constitutional Republic, once a free republic, is failing through the ignorant, uneducated and ill-informed choices of its Congressmen, Senators and American voters, and it is also failing because many Americans are culpable and willful in their support of actions and policies that negatively impact America. Far too many Americans do not understand or do not care that Obama’s Siren’s call for the Progressive fundamental transformation of America is found nowhere in the principles that built America, and many do not care that this is being done by unconstitutional means.

 

There was a time when there existed fine, decent Democrats, liberal only in the classical sense, who loved America and worked for Her in a benevolent fashion. Senator Joe Lieberman (CT) was one such Democrat, who was a foreign policy hawk. Another such Democrat was Senator Henry “Scoop” Jackson (WA _served from 1953-1983), who was a leading “anti-communist” hawk. But today, the Democratic Party and nearly all Democrats are ultra-socialist, right on the verge of being outright communists and fascists.

 

Democrats Kaye Hagan (NC), Mark Begich (Alaska), Mary Landrieu (LA), Mark Udall (CO), Jeanne Shaheen (NH) and many other Democrats are all currently distancing themselves from President Obama in preparation for the November 4th election. All of these Senators voted with Obama’s agenda 95% of the time, according to the Congressional Quarterly Roll Call calculators. Voting for any Democratic leader is voting for the Progressive Movement’s legislative agenda and Obama’s fundamental transformation of America.

 

For six years America has careened through a sluggish economy worsened by Democrat economic policies advocated by Obama that come straight from Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal. They didn’t work then and they haven’t worked today, as we find approximately 100 million Americans now receiving government assistance of some sort.

 

Democrat policies from Roosevelt’s era have been greatly expanded upon by the Progressives of Obama’s new marxofascist based Democratic Party, because dependent people equal an easily controlled population. Many Americans on welfare today could have been productive, if only they had been encouraged to be independent. But, their entire lives the Democrats so convinced them that they could not succeed under the free market system and Adam Smith’s Capitalism, which they never really tried. And this is immoral, but then immoral pretty well describes the entire Progressive platform of ideas.

 

Increasingly Americans are experiencing Progressive Democrats’ tyranny, just as in California where Democrat Governor Jerry Brown and a Democrat supermajority in the legislature seized control of all ground water supplies in the state this past September, under the guise of conservation and due to a drought of their own making. More of these Agenda 21 based regulations are due to go into effect nationally in November, despite efforts to block them (HR5078), and they are setting the stage for the biggest land grab in U.S. history, in terms of power over land use, at the hands of Progressive Democrat bureaucratic political hacks and unelected despots.

 

President Obama can only use an Executive Order to supplement previously existing law passed by Congress, not to make new law in his current manner. When Obama issues Executive Orders, such as the Dream Act, that go astray of Constitutional limits and when bureaucracies, such as the EPA, are able to bind Americans through regulations, not law, it is extra-legal. One also is denied their Constitutional rights if forced to arbitrate any disputed matter through a bureaucrat, as this places administrative power above the law, side-stepping the courts and judges.

 

Along with Obama’s boastful disregard for the Constitution, Obama and the Progressive Democrats have worked tirelessly to undermine Christianity and Our American Heritage, as witnessed by their support of homosexual “marriages” (nothing “gay” about it) and their assault on Hobby Lobby’s position regarding birth control. They don’t “mean well” and they don’t give a damn about America or anything outside their Progressive ideology.

 

Disagree with the Democrat divisive platform and the opposition is accused of hatred: If you oppose illegal immigration, you hate Hispanics. If you have concerns about Islam in America, you hate Muslims. If you oppose Affirmative Action, you must hate blacks. And if you oppose “gay” marriage, you must hate homosexuals – “well – hmmm?” One out of four ain’t bad. I’ll let Ya’ll figure it out. (Just joking folks – please, no hate mail).

 

Six years of Democratic failed policies have shown that voting for the Democratic Party is both foolish and dangerous for the nation. Our border patrol agents are used to nullify immigration law, allowing terrorists to cross our borders. The Justice Department now enforces U.S. law through race-based initiatives. Every vote for Obamacare and its death panels, the most destructive legislation in U.S. history, came from the Democratic Party. The Islamic State has set the Middle East ablaze due to Obama’s and Democratic support of the Muslim Brotherhood and Obama’s insistence on complete withdrawal from Iraq. And now, the incurable and deadly Ebola virus and previously eradicated diseases, like tuberculosis, are in America due Obama’s “open borders” policy and his ideological idiocy.

 

But isn’t this what Americans wanted after all – “Hope and Change”?

 

Americans themselves are largely responsible for their own misery. One hundred and eleven million eligible voters, 45%, stayed home in 2012, while 27.4% believed Obama’s lies and pie in the sky promises and voted for “free” handouts and government benefits. 25.3% voted to be left alone by the government.

 

Incompetence has become the rule at many of the highest levels of government and in private businesses. Corporations like GM now seek protections and monopolies. Obama’s and John Kerry’s bungling will soon ensure that Iran has nuclear ICBMs, while the U.S. space program is compromised by its reliance on Russian, an old enemy renewing its adversarial position. It takes 10-15 years now to build a bridge that used to take 3 years, because of environmental studies required by the EPA. It takes an average of seven years to get a mining permit. And $7.2 trillion of new Obama debt has the U.S. debt at $17.8 trillion, undermining our fiscal responsibility to future generations.

 

Friederich Hayek, renowned economist, once remarked that having “seen millions voting themselves into complete dependence on a tyrant (Hitler) has made our generation understand that to choose one’s government is not necessarily to secure one’s freedom.”

 

Thomas Jefferson, the third U.S. President, simply stated, “Educate and inform the whole mass of the people … They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty.”

 

Our Founding Fathers didn’t expect government to control every aspect of the American people’s lives, as Obama and the Progressives are now doing by using the IRS against political opponents and telling us what medical insurance we can purchase. The Founders had survived tyranny, and they wrote the Constitution as a promise to the American people that government would be kept out of our private lives. Nobody – not elected Progressive officials, not Obama – gets to dictate how we live our lives, and Americans can remain a free people, a republic, despite Obama’s numerous lawless edicts and threats of one man rule, by sending the message in November that WE are restoring Our U.S. Constitution.

Restore our Republic 2012

 

Restore Government Accountability is a huge website that is definitely of the Conservative persuasion. The website has seven steps to restore governmental accountability:

I became aware of these seven steps because somehow I acquired the link to step 7 – We Can Stop the Fraud. I am certain someone sent the link to me but I don’t remember who. Also I don’t know that I agree with everything in these steps; however I see more agreement than disagreement. I am going to cross post step seven because that is what was sent to me, but I encourage you to take the time to read all nine steps for it will get the wheels of your Conservative mind to turn.
