Rachel Ehrenfeld writes about the extreme vetting process that President Trump could use to quickly detect if a person has terrorist designs against the United States. Ehrenfeld has an idea based on some technology created in Israel yet commissioned by the United States Department of Homeland Security.

Check out this quote from Ehrenfeld on the technology:

An effective way to find out the applicant’s intentions would be screening through an efficient, unbiased, and non-intrusive system.  Such a system was developed by an Israeli company with a grant from the Department of Homeland Security, which the Obama administration refused to utilize.

 

The Suspect Detection System (SDS) has developed counter-terrorist and insider threat detection technology named COGITO.  This technology enables law enforcement agencies to rapidly investigate U.S. visa applicants (and other travelers) entering the country, insider threats among employees, etc.

 

COGITO technology is an automated interrogation system that can determine in 5-7 minutes if an individual is harboring hostile intent.  The system interviews the examinee with up to 36 questions while measuring the psychophysical signals of the human body.  The system has 95% accuracy and has helped security agencies globally to catch terrorists and solve crimes.

I did a little looking into this COGITO technology. My impression is the concept was initially developed for companies to use to vet their new employees with something more efficiency than a lengthy lie detector test. Evidently the COGITO technology can be streamlined for many psych detection purposes including terrorism.

In the process of investigating “COGITO” I discovered it is not an acronym for some scientific gizmo, rather it is an actual word. Here is an interesting definition for “cogito”:

1: the philosophical principle that one’s existence is demonstrated by the fact that one thinks

2: the intellectual processes of the self or ego

Apparently SDS technology has taken a philosophical and retrofitted it to a psychological examination of discovering – so-to-speak – who a person is.

Here is the short version of the SDS COGITO technology that can be employed:

Suspect Detection Systems Inc.’s Cogito Data Center (Cogito DC) is a central knowledgebase and control server that serves as a complete analytical back office to the Cogito Rapid Interrogation System. Cogito DC will enable SDS customers to create a central storage base of all examinee data. The interrogation system collects an vast amount of data with each examination beginning with a scan of the examinees passport or identification card. The system then scans unique biometric identification information including fingerprint and iris (eye) imaging, and voice signature. The Cogito DC knowledgebase then aggregates and analyzes the interrogation results of all examinees. The system compares test results of potential suspects from common backgrounds, which then enables interrogators to perform intelligence analysis over the entire scope of collected metadata. General

The COGITO system is a technology-based concept and solution for the detection of suspects harboring malicious intent serves for detection of “Internal Threat” (employees of governmental agencies and enterprises that have destructive intents), Police interrogations and border security. The COGITO concept is derived from extensive interdisciplinary know-how in security, polygraph testing and field-proven security-related interrogation techniques.

The COGITO core technology is based on proprietary software – an “expert system” that emulates an investigator’s Modus Operandi by incorporating “soft decision-making” algorithms such as “Neural Networks” and “Fuzzy Logic”. All hardware elements are best-of-breed off-the-shelf third-party components. The technical solution is comprised of a front-end, the ‘Test Station’, and a back-office where multiple-station and multiple-site data is stored, managed and distributed.

COGITO presents a significant conceptual breakthrough that can assist international aviation and homeland security authorities in responding to increasingly sophisticated means of international terrorism. This concept is based on several well-established paradigms and assumptions.

Intent vs. Means

The COGITO concept focuses on detecting terrorist (malicious) intent as opposed to detecting the means (i.e. explosives or weapons). The value of detecting intent is based on several well-founded and proven assumptions. As proven in the 9/11 and many other terrorist attacks when entering a country, terrorists will not necessarily carry weapons or devices on their person. This has been well demonstrated in several international terror attacks. Moreover, terrorists with intent of perpetrating a chemical, biological or atomic terrorist attack are all the more not likely to carry such devices on their person while entering the United States through an official checkpoint or border crossing.

Stimulated Psycho Physical Reaction (SPPR)

The COGITO method is based on stimulating examinees with specific terrorism-related triggers using a “direct contact, interaction, conscious, portal” approach:

The COGITO method postulates that specific words or questions can force terrorist to generate a SPPR that is identifiably different than that of a non-terrorist’s SPPR to the same words or questions. Based on extensive field experience accumulated by Israeli security agencies, the only common characteristic to all suicide bombers and “effective terrorists” is their desire not to be caught by security authorities. The terrorist’s fundamental motivation to successfully perform the terrorist act and not be caught by security authorities clearly differentiates him from the innocent person not harboring such intent. This identifiable motivation is known as the “terrorist hunting–hunted syndrome” (THHS). On a personal level and at least a palpable negative argument for this rather quick vetting process, I think this is something President Trump should seriously take a look at! ESPECIALLY since President Barack Hussein Obama rejected this technology as a foreign immigrant vetting process.

President Donald Trump’s executive order on “Protecting the Nation from Terrorist Attacks by Foreign Nationals,” has been met, as anticipated, with alarm by opponents at home and abroad. Some resent the new American president and his actions to protect the country, as he promised to do. Others, like the Muslim Brotherhood’s affiliated Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), protest the suspension of U.S. visas to Muslim refugees and travelers from the radical -Islamic-terrorist prone countries Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Libya, Yemen, and Somalia.

His executive order proclaims (emphasis added): “The United States must be vigilant during the visa issuance process to ensure that those approved for admission do not intend to harm Americans and that they have no ties to terrorism. In order to protect Americans, we must ensure that those admitted to this country do not bear hostile attitudes towards our country and its founding principles. Section 2 of the active order states that the policy of the U.S. is “(a) protect our citizens from foreign nationals who intend to commit terrorist attacks in the United States; and (b) prevent the admission of foreign nationals who intend to exploit United States immigration laws for malevolent purposes.”

To prevent such individuals from entering the U.S., the executive order requests the development of a uniform screening program, which in fact would reinforce requirements that have been deliberately ignored by the Obama administration.

However, radical-Islamic terrorists are not limited to the countries list by the EO. There are unknown numbers of ISIS volunteers who returned to Europe and other Western nations, which the new EO exempts. But even if the screening is done by the book, and all necessary documentation has been obtained and verified, and the applicant declares he holds no ill intentions toward America and Americans, nothing available to the screeners today would easily reveal that he or she is lying.

An effective way to find out the applicant’s intentions would be screening through an efficient, unbiased, and non-intrusive system.  Such a system was developed by an Israeli company with a grant from the Department of Homeland Security, which the Obama administration refused to utilize.

According to the company’s website, the SDS allows the screening of a large number of people in a short time. It “does not require operator training. One operator can handle simultaneously ten stations.  It has a central management and database system that allows storing all tests results, analysis, and data mining, and is deployed and integrated with governmental agencies.”  Using this system would eliminate the need to use often biased U.S. Consulate employees.  Moreover, the SDS uses an automated decision-making system, which is “adaptable to a variety of different questioning contexts, different cultures, and languages. The examination lasts 5 minutes when there are no indications of harmful intent, and 7 minutes to ascertain it (with only 4% false positive, and 10% false negative).”

The COGITO is used in 15 countries including Israel, Singapore, China, India, and Mexico.  U.S. airlines operating in Latin America are using COGITO to check their employees.

But last year DHS refused to use the SDS, claiming that it “would constitute an intrusion on the privacy of those screened by the system” and “[i]t may reflect on VISA applicants or Immigrant’s civil rights.”  However, foreigners applying for a U.S. visa are not protected by American laws.

SDS capability to detect intent seems to fit President Trump’s promise of “extreme vetting” of Muslim refugees from high-risk regions.  This and other similarly objective systems would not only assist in making America safer but also be in keeping its policy and tradition of accepting refugees who do not wish us harm.

Break the EU’s Chains

The British people seem ready to leave the European Union through an historic June 23rd referendum, because they are tired of the high-handed tyrannical regulations, clauses and counter clauses, emanating from the EU Council on even the simplest aspects of their everyday lives. They have determined that leaving the EU will be the best step towards reclaiming their nation’s sovereignty and democratic rule in all matters of immigration and border control, their economy, free trade and national security, and they are proudly waving the Union Jack, as they tell their would be masters in Brussels to “go to hell”, declaring their independence.

 

In November 2015, U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron attempted to renegotiate a treaty change with European Union Council President Donald Tusk concerning U.K. sovereignty, trade, immigration and economic governance, but Tusk rejected it all, with the minor exception regarding the handling of a few million pounds for children’s benefits. This dismal failure of PM Cameron only offered proof that the EU was closed to any substantial moves towards reform [The Telegraph & Financial Times], which created a renewed and angry momentum for the Out of Europe, Vote Leave and Brexit” movements.

 

Corporatists, transnationalists, advocates of the UN 2030 Agenda [Blog Editor: I’m a bit of anti-UN/anti-globalist kind-of-guy so here’s an anti-UN 2030 Agenda article. I’m not sure if Justin is on board with my concerns], the BBC and the Guardinista establishment [The Guardian’s pro-UN 2030 Agenda] are presenting dishonest and fear-based monologues, regarding the uncertainty a U.K. exit from the EU might bring. They enjoy being able to circumvent individual nation’s policies by going through Brussels, and most of them have been made rich through their deals with the tyrannical, unelected and entrenched bosses of the European Union.

 

Despite disingenuous conclusions from the transnationalist President Obama, does anyone really believe that a hundred years of shared security concerns and initiatives and trade agreements between the U.S. and the U.K. will be detrimentally affected by a “Yes” vote to leave the EU?

 

What cogent thought process could people, like Lena Komileva (London economist), possibly be using when they ascribe the term “illiberal” to the British people’s desire for nationalist policies [last paragraph Bloomberg] and reclaiming Britain’s sovereignty?

 

It will not take years for the U.K. to renegotiate trade deals with the U.S., as Obama suggests, but rather only months. And, if small nations like South Korea and Chile can succeed in global markets, certainly Britain also will continue to succeed, especially since the EU already imports 45% of British exports.

 

Membership in the EU currently costs Britain approximately $30 billion annually. Although $55 billion in austerity cuts were made by the Chancellor of the Exchequer during the last Parliament, Britain’s contribution to the EU was roughly $132 billion. Every cut in public spending could be reversed, and Britain could still pay down its deficit faster if Britain were to leave the European Union. In February, Gerald Mason, senior vice-president of Britain’s high profile Tate and Lyle Sugars, made a mockery of claims by Britain Strong in Europe that Brexit would spell economic disaster for the U.K., when he stated, “we are absolutely certain that our business and people who work in it would have a more secure future outside the EU” [Evening Standard 4th paragraph].

 

Priti Patel, U.K.’s employment minister, told the Daily Telegraph in March [Same quote Daily Mail 2/22/16]:

 

“The Prime Minister has tried hard but the EU refused to give the British people what they want … The only way to take back control over our economy … to create more jobs and growth is to Vote Leave.”

 

However, national security is the issue currently foremost in most Britons minds, but Eurocentrics, who believe the U.K. will be safer in the EU through cooperation on crime and terrorism, have failed to see that the EU has never been capable of agreeing on effective foreign policy. Also not taken into account, the EU recently embraced the expanded definition of “refugee” put forth by the United Nations in its 2030 Agenda. [See also point #2 of UN adopting Sustainable Development Goals] Nigel Farage, UKIP leader, warns that the U.K. will not be able to handle the upcoming surge of migrants, if it stays in the EU. He observed during the April 1st Munk Debate that “Jeane-Claude Juncker, the unelected president of the European Commission, has changed the definition of what a refugee is, to include people … from war torn areas … (and) from extreme poverty … (and) perhaps 3 billion people could possibly come to Europe (as a result). [I found this quote at WND]

 

There are also reports of Bosnia, with a population of 3.8 million, being infiltrated by Islamic State terrorists. They are buying property there, and they would be free to travel to the U.K., if Bosnia is granted EU membership.

 

Andrew Rosindell, a Conservative member of Parliament, stated in March [Bloomberg]: “Being in the EU means we don’t have control of our own systems, we don’t have control of our own borders. We are effectively tied to countries which I think are not as good at protecting their people as we have been.”

 

One can only imagine the palpable red-hot anger of the British people, upon hearing Martin Shulz, European Parliament president, say that he was [The Telegraph] “sad and angry (over) the undertone of national resentment” and it was “not possible” to make the changes PM Cameron wanted. Shulz added that Britain “belongs” to the EU — really? — just watch, wait and see.

 

Downing Street has declared that “a vote to leave is a vote to leave” [Near exact wording in Cameron photo caption in Herald Scotland]. A Leave vote will facilitate the U.K.’s departure through Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty [Britain & Europe discussion on Article 50], and terms for Britain’s withdrawal will then be negotiated over the next two years.

 

Over forty years ago, Britain last debated her relationship with Europe, and even then, elected officials on both the right and left, such as two of the most iconic political figures of that era — Enoch Powell and Tony Benn, campaigned against the U.K.’s membership in what was then the European Economic Community. They objected to Britain’s elected government meekly surrendering Britain’s national sovereignty to unelected foreign entities and the fundamental lack of democracy in the EU.

 

Lady Margaret Thatcher knew that it would be near impossible to effectively and efficiently impose one currency, one economy and one national identity on many different countries (now 28) with such different languages, histories, customs and cultures in general. Early on, the Iron Lady called the attempt to create a European super-state “the greatest folly of the modern era.” [Townhall]

 

Britons, excited and optimistic, are moving forward to reclaim a more-free, prosperous, ally connected and nationally secure Britain, through their own elected officials and their own choices and wisdom, breaking free of the heavy, bureaucratic chains of the European Union. They will vote for an independent future in the world, benefiting all, and, as they shout “Hail Britannia”, they will vote to leave in June.

Another Christian Genocide

Christians are the primary focus of the Islamic State murderers in Iraq and Syria, who are also committing heinous acts against the Yazidis and other Muslims. Entire Christian communities are being eradicated through the most abhorrent and abominably evil acts imaginable. The Christian population of Aleppo, Syria, once numbering half a million, is now reduced to approximately 35,000. Virtually every last Christian has fled Mosul, Iraq, after being given “the choice” to convert to Islam or die. Christians qualify in many more significant ways to receive refugee status than any other people, and America and other predominantly Christian nations must provide them with immediate protection and sanctuary, or watch Christianity in the Middle East disappear.

 

While Muslims can move easily from one nearby Muslim nation to the next, Christians have nowhere to go, no safe haven, and any attempt to flee often ends in death. They cannot seek shelter in U.N. camps, hiding in private homes and secluded “safe-houses,” instead they are attacked by Muslim “refugees” and killed by islamofascist jihadists, who raid the camps. And due to their inability to leave the country for fear of discovery on the trails of death, Christians have been denied “refugee” status through a technicality; this technicality has allowed the Obama administration to do absolutely nothing for five years, in the face of the worst Christian genocide since the Armenian genocide perpetrated by the Ottoman Empire.

 

Some of America’s finest citizens, such as Patrick Kelly (Knights of Columbus) and Representative Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) finally pressured Secretary of State John Kerry and President Obama to give an official U.S. declaration on March 17th that the Islamic State is committing genocide against Christians, Yazidis and Muslims. Rep. Rohrabacher’s ‘Save the Christians from Genocide Act’ (HR4017) passed the House and Senate last month, after receiving motivation from the December 4th, 2015 letter to Secretary Kerry, from thirty religious leaders, scholars and experts working with the Heritage Foundation, that documented “ISIS assassinations of Church leaders; mass murders; torture … and systematic rape of Christian girls and women.”

 

Dr. Jerry Johnson, an ethicist and president of National Religious Broadcasters, suggested [CS Monitor version]: “If some anti-Muslim group was gathering up the Muslims, putting them in cages … dousing them in gas and lighting them on fire, or lining them up and beheading Muslims simply because they were Muslims, quite frankly … our government would have declared this an outrage and a genocide a long time ago.”

 

Despite Secretary Kerry’s statement, “What Daesh (Islamic State) wants to erase, we must preserve”, no one should view this too optimistically. The Obama administration was fully aware of the Christian genocide five years ago, and yet, Obama’s Cabinet stubbornly refused to create a viable strategy to destroy these islamofascist murderers. Obama’s defacto policy favored Muslim “refugees” and blocked Christians, and it will not change much now.

 

America has witnessed Obama’s unconditional love of all things Islamic, like the Muslim call to prayer, and we have heard him apologize to the Middle East for “Western imperialism”. He has repeatedly claimed that the chaos, violence and murders committed by Islamic State terrorists are not “Islamic” and the Islamic State jihadists are not “Islamic”, when the historical evidence has documented torture and beheadings as the Muslim’s preferred method of proselytism from the 7th century right into the present. No one should be astonished that for Obama, genocide is not genocide if it’s committed against Christians.

 

If only reluctantly, the Obama administration declared this Christian genocide, and the U.S. is now obligated legally, under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide of 1948 [TreatiesUN.org], to “take all measures to prevent genocide which [are] within [its] power and which might [contribute] to preventing genocide.” But, this obligation does not require direct military intervention, so the world should expect only the bare minimum effort from this administration and possibly the next: However, HR4017 does require Homeland Security to assign a heightened refugee status to these victims of genocide and to expedite visas for them.

 

Samantha Power observed in her 2002 book ‘A Problem From Hell’, that “No U.S. president has ever made genocide prevention a priority, and no U.S. president has ever suffered politically for his indifference to its occurrences.”

 

Americans may not have “religious tests” for our compassion and immigration/refugee policies, however, an accurate security test must now necessarily convince Congress to block Obama’s plan to give 10,000 Syrian “refugees” entry into America by September 30th, unless they are verified to be Syrian Christians. While Christians pose absolutely no threat to America, the Syrian Muslim refugees contain a fifth column [Two more perspectives on 5th Column Muslims HERE and HERE] that hates us and wants to kill us and destroy our way of life; so essentially, they are imposing a religious test, with the endgame being a Christian holocaust.

 

In January 2016, Nadia Taha [The Freedom Fund], a 21 year old Iraqi woman, testified about her brutal rape and enslavement by Islamic State terrorists, before the United Nations Security Council in her effort to convince the international community to intervene. She recalled, “That night, he beat me up, forced me to undress, and put me in the room with six militants … They continued to commit crimes to my body until I became unconscious.”

 

Last April in St. Peter’s Square, Pope Francis stated that “Our brothers and our sisters … are persecuted, exiled, slain, beheaded, solely for being Christian … I truly hope that the international community doesn’t look the other way.” Now, one year later this evil persists.

 

“If the world hates you, you know that it hate Me before it hate you. _ John 15:18 … If they persecute Me, they will persecute you. _ John 15:20

 

With so many hundreds of thousands of Christians forced from their ancestral lands and murdered by Muslims, is it too late to save Christianity in the Middle East? Only time will tell, but time is running out.

 

Americans and people of the Free World, who care, simply have to do everything within their combined ability to save the Christians of Iraq and Syria and stop the spread of this intense and insane regional war to other regions. Whatever one’s situation, send any aid at hand to relief organizations, similar to the Barnabas Fund [About and Donate], who are sheltering, feeding and even evacuating Christians to the West. Move our leaders to send more and better resources to national guard equivalents like the Peshmerga [Breitbart 3/16/16], who are fighting the Islamic State. Move world leaders to eradicate the Islamic State. And should these efforts fall far short, young Christian men and women might also consider going to these areas to help and/or fight, not as mercenaries but as Defenders of the Faith: Christmas Day 2014 was the first time in 2,000 that the bells did not ring out in the city of Mosul.

The Media Research Center (MRC) sent an email which I presume is a paid ad for the theme is the Secure Freedom survey which I believe was initially began in September 2015. The MRC alert email was sent on November 20, 2015. Secure Freedom is a project of Center for Security Policy (CSP) which is led by Frank Gaffney.

Since the MRC email is probably a paid ad I suspect the original goal was to lead readers to the Secure Freedom contribution webpage. I mention this only because I am not reposting the email as a part of the Secure Freedom fund raising project, but rather to promote support for what has been dubbed American Laws for American Courts (ALAC).

The function of ALAC is a constitutional method to ensure the supremacy of Constitutional Law over foreign laws from foreign lands. The aim is at Islam’s Sharia Law which is a rule of law observed by Muslims and many Muslim nations which is absolutely contrary to the rule of law embodied in the U.S. Constitution.

An ALAC website provides a very brief summary on its How ALAC Works page:

… (T)he American Laws for American Courts model legislation works to safeguard our individual constitutional liberties against the infiltration and creep of foreign legal systems, such as Shariah law.

As you will read in another ALAC website page – WHY AMERICAN LAWS FOR AMERICAN COURTS? – You will realize nearly zero Federal ALAC statutes are a part of America’s national rule of law because there are none. However you will discover that each State in the Union has the legal constitutional authority to pass laws guaranteeing that foreign laws DO NOT override the U.S. Constitution or the constitutional law of our American union of sovereign states.

Here’s the excerpt:

American constitutional rights must be preserved in order to preserve unique American values of liberty and freedom. State legislatures have a vital role to play in preserving those constitutional rights and American values of liberty and freedom.

America has unique values of liberty which do not exist in foreign legal systems, particularly Shariah Law. Included among, but not limited to, those values and rights are:

o Freedom of Religion

o Freedom of Speech

o Freedom of the Press

o Due Process

o Right to Privacy

o Right to Keep and Bear Arms

Civil and Criminal Law Serve as the Bedrock for American Values: We are a nation of laws.

Unfortunately, increasingly, foreign laws and legal doctrines, including Shariah law principles, are finding their way into US court cases.

Reviews of state laws provide extensive evidence that foreign laws and legal doctrines are introduced into US state court cases, including, notably, Islamic law known as Shariah, which is used in family courts and other courts in dozens of foreign Muslim-majority nations.

These foreign laws, frequently at odds with U.S. constitutional principles of equal protection and due process, typically enter the American court system through:

o Comity (mutual respect of each country’s legal system)

o Choice of law issues and

o Choice of forum or venue

Granting comity to a foreign judgment is a matter of state law, and most state and federal courts will grant comity unless the recognition of the foreign judgment would violate some important public policy of the state. This doctrine, the “Void as against Public Policy Rule,” has a long and pedigreed history.

Unfortunately, because state legislatures have generally not been explicit about what their public policy is relative to foreign laws, including as an example, Shariah, the courts and the parties litigating in those courts are left to their own devices – first to know what Shariah is, and second, to understand that granting comity to a Shariah judgment may be at odds with our state and federal constitutional principles in the specific matters at issue.

The goal of the American Laws for American Courts Act is a clear and unequivocal application of what should be the goal of all state courts: No U.S. citizen or resident should be denied the liberties, rights, and privileges guaranteed in our constitutional republic.

I live in the state of Oklahoma. Our state passed a pre-ALAC law by a people’s initiative that specifically targeted Sharia principles as incompatible with American laws. You probably won’t be surprised that a local Oklahoma chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) found a Federal Judge to rule that the State passed a law by a 70% margin of the voters as unconstitutional. Oklahoma was prepared for CAIR though, the state passed an ALAC version law on April 9, 2013 which was nearly three years after Oklahoma voters overwhelmingly passed an anti-Sharia law in 2010. The State House was 85 for and 7 against while the State Senate was 40 for and a mere 3 against.

Nine American States have successfully passed an ALAC version of legislation:

Nine states—Alabama, Arizona, Louisiana, Kansas, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Tennessee—have enacted legislation regarding the application of foreign or religious law in state courts. Eight states did so via the legislature, and Alabama enacted a measure in 2013 to change the constitution. That measure was approved by the voters in 2014. Mississippi passed legislation in 2015. Twenty American States have pending legislation of a version of ALAC:

Twenty states have introduced legislation in 2015 to restrict the use of foreign law in state courts, and Mississippi has enacted legislation on the topic in 2015. Currently eight states have laws prohibiting the use of foreign laws in state courts. If you have been paying attention to the news lately you are aware of ISIS butchery in Syria/Iraq, ISIS terrorism on a Russian airliner, ISIS terrorism in Paris and al Qaeda related terrorism in Mali in West Africa. Immigration issues in Europe are beginning to be connected to Islamic terrorism. Also you should be aware that President Barack Hussein Obama has allowed a lot of Muslims termed as refugees who have already made the trek to ISIS. AND NOW Obama is forcing America to take on thousands of Muslim refugees from Syria – the Mordor of ISIS.

According to a 11/17/15 Newsmax story, Obama plans to bring Syrian refugees to the USA is highly skewed to 96% Muslims. ONLY about 3% are Christians. “Since 1991, it is estimated that over 100,000 Somali refugees have resettled to the United States.” These are some of the first Muslim refugees/immigrants to demonstrate a penchant for what politically correct pundits call radical Islam. So how does Barack Hussein Obama think that the paradigm of bringing Muslims from a radicalized area like Syria will be any different?

The Muslim-friendly Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies (ACRPS) polled 900 Syrian refugees spread around Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan in 2014 and found that 13% had a favorable opinion about ISIS (11/1/15 Clarion Project story by Ryan Mauro). Before the ISIS attack on November 13 in Paris, Obama announced in September a plan to bring 10,000 Syrian refugees in 2016. That means statistically over 1,000 may be supportive of Radical Islam. That is 1,000 potential future Islamic terrorists.

That means that roughly 18 percent of Syria’s estimated 4 million refugees are Christians. So why have only less than 3 percent of the 2,184 Syrian refugees resettled in the United States from 2011 until now been Christians? At least 32 States are rejecting Obama Syrian refugee plan. This in spite of most Left Stream Media throwing support behind Obama’s resettlement program y propaganda by using Leftist social justice guilt on Americans that welcoming immigrants is part and parcel of American values as a melting pot.

Look at America’s history from colonial days through nationhood: From where do an overwhelming majority of our melting pot Americans come from? That would be some form of Christianity (Protestant, Catholic or Eastern Rite). And the minority of non-Christian immigrants: All conformed to Western ideals embodied in the U.S. Constitution via assimilation.

Do Muslims assimilate? MOST do not. Especially the less educated refugee type of Muslims devoted to Islamic Sharia Law.

So is it actually a travesty of American values if most Americans reject the concept of accommodating Muslim refugees? I say it is more of a travesty to bring non-conforming Muslims into an American culture that stands for everything Islam IS NOT.

Worse yet, Islamic leaders are cleverly using our own 1st Amendment rights to establish and defend so-called “Islamic Centers” here in our country, that in reality are Shariah-adherent mosques that advance “Jihad” against America . . .

. . . often providing safe-havens for terrorist recruitment and indoctrination in their quest for world dominance and power.

That’s why it’s so vital for you to sign and return your National Citizen Opinion Survey in support of keeping U.S. courts and government agencies from enabling Shariah law to take hold here.

Whether or not this problem has affected your area yet, just think about this:

o An undercover investigation found that a staggering 80% of Islamic mosques or “cultural centers” in America are under the influence of the Shariah-promoting Saudi (Wahabbist) wing of Islam. Under Shariah, gender and religion determine specific “rights” in ways at odds with our Constitutional ones.

o And Shariah promotes “jihad” . . . violence and terrorism against all Islamic “non-believers.”

And unless thousands of freedom-loving citizens like you share their views with key community leaders and our legislators to stop the creeping political influence of supremacist Islam and Shariah in America, all we need to do is look to Europe to see where our country is headed.

Great Britain now has 85 Shariah courts. In Germany, Shariah law has been used to defend a husband’s right to beat his wife and practice polygamy. France has overhauled its domestic tax laws to accommodate “Islamic Finance.”

Just think about what is already happening in America:

Secure Freedom has identified 146 U.S. court cases in which an attempt was made to use Shariah to decide the dispute. In one in five instances, the judge agreed. We expect those numbers to grow. And recently, a group of Muslims in northern Texas tried to establish the first official “Islamic tribunal” to dispense Shariah law in the United States.

How can this be happening in our country?

It’s because of a clever technique used by a particularly dangerous Islamic supremacist group, the Muslim Brotherhood. They call it “civilization jihad,” a term that describes how the Brotherhood is aiming at, in their words, “eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within.”

Here are some of the ways the civilization jihadist leaders are stealthily trying to take us down:

o Islamists are placing Muslim Brothers into positions as advisors to and, in some cases as employees of, our government – placements that facilitate their insidious influence operations.

o Islamists seek to prevent our free speech – particularly the kind that might allow us to understand and effectively counteract their secretive assaults on our country and its institutions.

o Islamists are trying to use the “Common Core” curriculum – our children’s textbooks – to promote Islamic supremacism in our academic institutions.

o Islamists are working to insinuate Shariah into U.S. courts and establish their own parallel “Islamic tribunals” to subvert our rule of law and Constitution.

o Islamists are using our immigration system – especially our refugee resettlement program – to engage in what the Islamic supremacists call the hijra, a Muslim colonization of America.

o Islamists enlist leaders of other faiths through so-called “interfaith dialogue” to obscure and enable what is fundamentally a subversive political, not a legitimate religious, agenda. And,

o Islamists use what is known as “Shariah-Compliant Finance” to penetrate and coopt our capitalist system.

While the Europeans are further down the tubes than we are at the moment, I think you’ll agree there is reason to believe we are catching up. For example:

o Many national food chains are selling unmarked Shariah-compliant “Halal” meat (the animal is ritually-slaughtered by a Muslim who sacrifices it to Allah), unbeknownst to most Americans who are buying and consuming it.

o Our own U.S. Treasury Dept. has hosted in its headquarters a course called “Islam Finance 101” to promote Shariah-compliant financial activities. And today, most of our major banks and financial institutions – including one-time government-owned and taxpayer-funded AIG – offer “Shariah-Compliant” products that are overseen by Muslim “scholars” to ensure they comply with Islamic law.

o Some public and taxpayer-funded university gyms are now providing separate hours for male and female swimming . . . to comply with Shariah laws for Islamic followers.

o Several years ago, at a Tyson’s chicken processing plant in Tennessee, the American Labor Day holiday was REPLACED with an Islamic religious holiday. A public outcry forced the company to reverse that decision, but it did so by making accommodations for both holidays.

o A New Jersey judge denied a protective order to a Moroccan-American woman being systematically beaten and tortured by her Muslim husband on the grounds that he was just practicing his faith according to Shariah. And in Virginia, an Islamic school operating under Shariah not only ignored the reports by a little girl that she was being molested by her father, but the principal sent her home for him to “handle it”.

o A Muslim father murdered his two daughters in Houston a few years ago in an act known as “honor killing” for dating American boys. Others are having their girls’ genitals mutilated – yes, here in the United States.

So you can see why it is so critical to the future of America to participate in this unprecedented national effort. We must shine the light of day on how supremacist Islam and Shariah are gaining ground. And we must get millions of our fellow citizens behind our effort to prevent Shariah from taking hold here and to counter the jihad of all kinds in America.

So I hope you will do your part by answering and submitting your National Citizen Opinion Survey and join in our fight to push back on the Islamic supremacists and their Shariah agenda.

Chilling words indeed!

The rise of the barbaric Islamic State (ISIS) and the resurgence of al Qaeda and its affiliates have begun to arouse many of our countrymen and women to the ever-expanding forces of Shariah-adherent Muslims and the clear and present danger their violent jihad increasingly poses to our homeland and citizens.

Now we need to ensure that our fellow Americans are aware as well of the other principal form of jihad – the Muslim Brotherhood’s civilization jihad.

With your help and the help of others today, I feel confident that we can effectively counter these stealthy Islamic supremacists and the agenda they share with the violent jihadists: imposing Shariah on America.

Currently, Secure Freedom’s “Counter Jihad Campaign” is working on 4 principal fronts. For our efforts to succeed we must:

1) Contact and educate at least 3 million key Americans like yourself, by exposing them to information about the Islamists’ insidious threat to America.

We want to do that by sharing with them informational letters and getting feedback in our National Citizens Opinion Survey. Funds permitting, we want to distribute our free mini-book with highlights of Shariah, The Threat to America – It contains all you need to know about Islamic supremacism and what its practitioners have in mind for you. Then, we must communicate to state, local and federal leaders the results of our Survey to ensure there are, at a minimum, no more jihadists or additional jihadist mosques and organizations allowed to operate in this country and to begin effectively countering those already here.

2) Take out newspaper and radio advertisements, use the Internet – even produce TV ads – to expose the truth about Shariah to tens of millions of citizens and create even more public pressure to defeat jihad.

3) Ramp up our ongoing work to foster among key groups – law enforcement, veterans and other military personnel, pastors and community leaders – awareness of and what to do about the insidious, and growing, Islamic supremacist movement.

Such folks have, after all, an urgent need to know of this danger since in many cases, their towns, cities or states are being systematically subjected to the Islamists’ civilization jihad, colonization or other subversive operations.

4) And I must continue holding one-on-one strategy sessions with Members of Congress, presidential candidates, leading folks in the media and other influential figures in our effort to encourage the necessary course-correction for our country. We have to educate them about the true nature of Shariah and the imperative of preventing it from subverting our Constitution and way of life.

Simply put, Shariah is anti-Constitutional and incompatible with the rule of law in a republic such as ours.

That’s because our Constitution guarantees that every individual citizen is “endowed by our Creator” with an identical set of rights, no matter their gender or religion. But if the Islamic supremacists succeed in hiding their true agenda and the progress they are making towards realizing it, they will continue to erode our freedom of speech and other rights and continue to subvert our country.

By engaging our legislators, enlisting our community leaders and educating millions of concerned Americans around the county with information kits and critical alerts, I believe this is a battle we can win. But not without help like yours and others who we are asking to give us a hand.

And our first and most critical step is to get my email and this National Citizen Opinion Survey to at least 3 million like-minded citizens starting within the next 60 days. And that’s where your assistance is sorely needed.

No Palestinians – No Palestinian State

It is my opinion that Israel should straight out annex Judea-Samaria (what the hate-Israel crowd calls the occupied West Bank) and invite the Arabs who cannot accept the existence of a Jewish State to leave Israel.
 
I get more and more vehement in this opinion of annexing Israel’s own land due the representatives of the fake Palestinian people constantly clamoring for their own sovereign state based on the myth there always has been a Palestinian people and that the Jews lost any to right to exist on their ancient homeland long-long ago.
 
I caught up to a Times of Israel article notifying readers that representatives of the Palestinian Authority (PA) had submitted (12/17/14) a unilateral resolution to the United Nations giving Israel until 2017 to get out of Judea-Samaria in order for a sovereign Palestinian State can be formed. The longer the Israeli government fails to acquire their own ancestry the more difficult it will be to do so. Israel has procrastinated so long that I’d have to say the entirety of Europe as embodied by the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom (UK) have abandoned the Jewish State to the PA’s hate-Israel agenda. The EU (Court) has even legitimized the Jew-hating Islamic terrorist organization Hamas by wiping the staining truth of terrorism from its description.
 
When will the way-too-tolerant comprehend that encapsulating Israel with a sovereign nation of vicious Jew-haters will not bring peace but rather more than likely begin a war will engulf the entire world into another World War? My GOD! Just LOOK at English translations of pro-Palestinian nationhood media that fills their listeners full of Jew-hatred and that Israel’s existence will be terminated just like prophet Mo terminated the Arabian Jews of Banu Quraiza and Khaybar (See Also HERE and HERE).
 
It may sound politically incorrect but more Jewish refugees were expelled from Muslim nations after the 1948 Israel war of independence than actual Arabs that fled at the behest of the invading Arab armies or out of fear of becoming a war casualty. The invading Arab armies DID NOT come to create a Palestinians State, rather the invasion’s purpose was to divvy up and annex their own slices of land they hoped to own from the defunct British Mandate for Palestine. A Mandate by the way set up as a future home for Jews after WWI as defined by the 1917 Balfour Declaration. Note World War I ended in 1918 and Hitler’s Final Solution for European Jews was not officially discovered until the end of World War II in 1945. After the Final Solution count it was discovered nearly 6 MILLION Jews were murdered for their faith.
 
In order to perpetuate the Islamic Supremacist concept that once conquered for Allah the land is to remain Islamic perpetually, various Arab nationalists began stirring up Jew-hatred to prevent the formation of a Jewish State in the ancient Jewish homeland. A small parcel of land by Muslim domination standards neglected under old Ottoman Turkey rulership and was made largely revitalized by Jewish immigrant Western European know-how in agriculture, science and economics. By the way, a revitalization that was beneficial to the few indigenous Arabs that worked as near feudal peasants for the relatively smaller Arab landowner even if many were absentee.
 
The British tried in vain to get local Arabs to follow a path of state-building similar to that of the Zionists once they envisioned the division of western Palestine in the 1920s.
 
But the failure – in fact, the refusal of Palestinian Arabs to develop as a society under the tutelage of the British – had been an enduring feature of indigenous Arabs in Palestine for generations.
 
… Professor Kenneth Stein of Emory College, a scholar of land tenure systems under the Ottoman Turks and the British Mandate, points to the lack of social cohesion, coupled with a long history of unscrupulous money lenders, real estate brokers, and dishonest village leaders (mukhtars) robbing Palestinian villagers of their lands well before the arrival of the first Zionist:
 
“By 1947, Palestinian Arab society had become highly susceptible to insecurity and flight. Indeed, a combination of reasons caused hundreds of thousands of Arabs to leave Palestine after November 1947, not the least of which was the internal societal changes that led to slow disintegration of communal bonds. Although Palestinians became refugees in [the] 1947-48 period, the origins of their social collapse can be partially attributed to the fractious nature of Arab society and its steady dissolution over the previous century.”5
 
… Aryeh Avneri, who traced the demographic history of western Palestine over the centuries in his book Claim of Dispossession: Jewish Land Settlement and the Arabs. Indeed, the Arab narrative, which speaks of perpetual residence in Palestine for 1,300 years, does not stand up to scrutiny. For 250 years the population remained almost static – rising from 205,000 Muslims, Christians, and Jews in 1554 to only 275,000 in 1800. Other historic documents from 1830 onward demonstrate that an increase in Arab immigration was registered with the influx of the first Zionist settlers in 1880, yet the population still ebbed and flowed.
 
… Describing the Arabs in Palestine in the 19th century, Avneri calls them “a tiny remnant of a volatile population which had been in constant flux as a result of unending wars … (Arab and Jewish Refugees – The Contrast; By Eli E. Hertz; MythAndFacts.org; 2007)
 
By the time the British Mandate for Palestine was drawing to an end with a United Nations Partition Plan further dividing land between Jews and Arabs including the City of David holy first to Jews – Jerusalem, the Arab States that had formed sovereign nations under the direction of Britain and France had put away their petty squabbles long enough to be unified on one matter. That one matter was kill the Jews in their own homeland and divide what was out of the spheres of influence the invading armies managed to carve out. After all, Arab Muslims outnumbered Jews that made an effort to reestablish their national homeland.
 
Before the end of the British Mandate Jews were forced to form underground militias for self-protection. Some of those militias developed the image of being terrorists because of the brutal and vicious manner of revenge reprisals when Jews were attacked by Islamic Supremacist Arab Nationalists.
 
These Jewish militias united to confront the invading Arab armies of the newly declared independent Israel in 1948. Still the Jewish forces were very outnumbered by the united Arab invading armies.
 
A combination of Israeli determination and the mutual mistrust existing between the objectives of each Arab nations sending an invasion force resulted largely in an Israeli victory ended by armistices rather than peace treaties. The only invading army able to claim success was Transjordan’s (now Jordan) Arab Legion. The Arab Legion’s key to success was that army’s Officer Corps was primarily British led particularly its Commander in Sir John Bagot Glubb, Lieu.-General (Glubb Pasha).
 
Except for the Arab Legion, the invading armies were defeated roughly displacing 600,000 Arabs who had visions of returning to their homes Judenfrei. It is quite interesting that about a million Jews were expelled (See Also HERE) from Muslim nations between the late 1920s through about 1970. About 600,000 of those expelled Jews occurred around the 1948 Israeli War of Independence.
 
It is the descendants of these displaced Arabs in 1948 and later when Israel took back East Jerusalem and Judea-Samaria (renamed the West Bank by Jordan after formal annexation in early 1950s) while Jordan refused Judea-Samaria Arab into that nation. Jordan was simply following the example of other Arab nations NOT allowing repatriation of fellow Arabs thus creating refugees.
 
Again it is ironic that the roughly 800,000 Jews out of a million refugees expelled from Muslim nations settled in Israel and peacefully assimilated into the Jewish State of Israel.
 
AND YET an Arab refugee problem created by Islamic Supremacist Muslim Arabs refused to do their duty and repatriate and assimilate their created refugee problem. It is ironic that after 1948 the Arabs living in the Jordanian annexed West Bank (really Judea-Samaria) were NOT EVER given full Jordanian citizenship rights.
 
The Arab League forbade any Arab country from accepting these refugees or settling them in normal housing, preferring to leave them in squalid camps. Former UNRWA Director Ralph Galloway stated in 1958: “The Arab states do not want to solve the refugee problem. They want to keep it as an open sore, as a weapon against Israel. The Arab nations surrounding Israel had an agenda in creating an Arab refugee problem. These Arabs were to be used as a tool for continued Arab invasions to officially create a fabricated Palestinian State. A state by the way I don’t believe the then Arab Legion organization had any real intention of creating a sovereign state for Arab calling themselves Palestinians. Just like the 1948 Arab invaders had no intention of creating another Arab State.
 
Arab nations continued to invade tiny Israel up to 1973, losing every time. This is when the Arab League nations realized they’d need to find another way to terminate Israel. The new agenda was to defeat Israel from within. The Arab Legion gave a new name to the Arab refugees and called them Palestinian nationals – a people occupied by oppressive Israel.
 
The Arab Legion and later Palestinian terrorist organizations (sadly legitimized into PA) also tweaked the disinformation strategy by revising history that Palestinians have lived as a people in the Holy Land for over a thousand years – unlike the Jews. Since a significant amount of the Arab population immigrated to the then Ottoman controlled Levant more closely associated with an Ottoman version of a province which we can call Syria. Indeed, the newest Islamic terrorist organization now calling itself the Islamic State (IS) hooked their original name to the acronym ISIS or ISIL depending on whose translation one goes by. The acronym in English stood for the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria or the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. The name confusion comes designating an English translation for the last Arab word in the acronym. Without translating the last world acronym comes out as the Islamic State of Iraq and Sham. A significant amount of the refugee descendants come from as much first and second generation immigrants as the immigrant Jews that came and bettered living conditions in the region. Ship these descendants of immigrants back to their region of origin which today are the legacies of European carved out Muslim nation-states.
 
So, just for clarity’s sake let me state one more time: ANNEX JUDEA-SAMARIA and escort Jew-hating Arabs (even if it is both Muslim and Christian Jew-haters) to other Jew-hating Middle Eastern nations. AND trust me, if any follower of Islam considers themselves devoted to the Quran there is an element of Jew-hatred even if it is hid unwittingly with the moniker of Moderate Muslim. AND it is also a sad truth that Christians living in Muslim nations have received the same Jew-hating propaganda for centuries even though (or perhaps because of) their own Christian existence has been molded by the Sharia rules of the dhimmi (See Also HERE) which forces a Christian to admit and submit that Islam is a superior way of life. The Jew-friendly Christians today are Evangelical and Charismatic-Pentecostal Christians that tend to view Israel’s existence as at least one sign of a returning Jesus Christ who will establish the Kingdom of God on earth.
 
Admittedly this kind of Jew-friendly Christian does not necessarily fill Jews with trusting confidence. Jews view Evangelicals as proselytizing Christians. And both secular and religious Jews don’t really appreciate the proselytizing when they have managed to survive even a thousand years of too oft violent persecution from Christians.
 
In my case I am more than willing to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Jews; however it is my opinion that Jews will return en masse to God through Jesus when the Lord returns for His own – the Jew first and then the Gentile.

ISLAMABAD: Religious persecution is not the only reason which compels Pakistanis to seek asylum elsewhere. Many a time, Pakistanis are forced to flee from their country because of their affiliation or lack of the same thoughts. I always wonder, was the country made only for single Muslim school of thought, who always attack on other faiths and threaten them to leave the country? No not, Pakistan is just as much a home to Christians, Hindus, Ahmadis and Shias and nobody has the right to expel anyone from their homeland. However, expulsion continues to take place at gun point and many a time over the lifeless bodies of loved ones. In fact we always think that misfortune always falls on other people and somehow we always stay away from such things until the violence strikes at our home.

 

I see many Pakistanis are seeking asylum in foreign countries and most of them instigate violence themselves and ignite the fury of others so that they can seek political or religious asylum in foreign countries. Many Christian families are living in UK, USA, Canada and other European countries. Seeking asylum is not easy and people who say that people do it deliberately should go to see, where many asylum seekers from different countries work day in and day out to feed their families. Seeing their faces will make you understand that what they have chosen has been the lesser of two evils as a last resort.

 

According to the sources, around 8000 families are seeking asylum in Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia. Most of the asylum seekers who leave Pakistan in hopes of a better and safer future reached destitute or have meager funds which only last for a very small period of time. Most of them have to accept odd jobs and work at less than minimum wage until their resident status is approved by the immigration authorities. But I don’t see any positive response from the authorities or United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). The Colombo Gazette reported that there are around 600 Pakistani Christians that are currently seeking asylum in Sri Lanka.

 

Many of the families have sold their houses and lost their job in hopes of a better and safer future, told Basharat Khokher after his visit to Thailand, Sri Lanka and Malaysia. According to Basharat Khokhar some Human Right Champions are involved in human trafficking in the name of asylum in different countries. He condemns this act of Human Right Organization instead being supportive they are playing with their future. He said he met with many families there and now some of them are [desiring return] to rejoin their jobs, realizing the situation and bleak future.

 

He mentioned Pakistan European Christian Association – PECA and few others, I tried to call on the given number and have left messages but there is no response so far.

 

Nazir S Bhatti, President Pakistan Christian Congress – PCC have expressed his concern over the unprecedented delay shown by UNHCR offices in Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Thailand in processing applications for thousands of Pakistani Christian asylum seekers. The PCC chief appealed to UN secretary general Ban Ki Moon that cases of the Pakistani Christians in these countries be considered on a priority bases for refugee status. He said they are living in miserable human conditions for years and have been waiting for their applications to be considered.

 

Refugees have no right to work legally, and it is difficult to find employment, even in the informal sector. Most urban refugees in Thailand live a precarious existence: unable to work, often unable to send their children to school, they are typically financially stressed, dependent on ad-hoc charity to survive, at risk of exploitation and constantly worried about being arrested and indefinitely detained. Most of them reached there with a genuine passport and tourist visa. They are usually exhausted most of their savings to come to Thailand. Once their tourist visas expire, under Thai law, they are considered illegal migrants. As a result, they are at constant risk of arrest and extort refugees and then release them, but arrest can also result in indefinite detention. Pakistani Christians often face harassment and discrimination in churches from the Thai community. Many were unaware how difficult conditions would be in Thailand before they came, often having been misled by “agents or people-smugglers.”

 

Even if refugees obtain refugee status, their chances of being resettled outside of Thailand are not high, and they face serious ongoing protection problems while they remain in Thailand.

 

I left their shops and homes with a very heavy heart, fervently praying that Pakistan would once again become a tolerant and progressive society where people can enjoy equal rights.

Another exodus of refugees from Pakistan

 

BANGKOK – It has been a year since 14-year-old Samantha moved with her parents, elder sister and elder brother to Bangkok. She still does not clearly understand why they left their home in Lahore and moved to Thailand. All she knows is that her father was in trouble back in their hometown and some bad people wanted to kill him to avenge what they said was his unruly behaviour and remarks that he supposedly made at his workplace that resulted in a fight. In Bangkok she spends her time playing games on computer and playing with a large number of young children also from Pakistan and some Thai children that also live in the same compound. She has picked up a number of Thai words and proudly claims to be an expert in conversation with local Thai people.

Talking to this scribe the other day Samantha said she was very happy but missed her school. “Uncle nothing has changed as we eat the same Pakistani food and go to church every Sunday. I am leader among the youngsters here and they all call me deedi (elder sister),” she proudly said.

The scribe has been living with Pakistani families seeking asylum and refugee status in Thailand for more than two weeks. …  This report, however, is just based on findings in Thailand where these people are referred to as urban refugees and are mostly living in the suburbs of Bangkok.

 

Pakistani Christians in the last two years have moved in large numbers to Thailand. The problems they face at the hands of extremists are just beginning of their ordeal. Their first test comes at Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad airports. They are asked hefty amounts to board the plane by immigration officials. On average one family of four people pay $800 to $1,000 for embarking on the plane. Mrs Sarfaraz Jacob who moved from Lahore in January with her daughter, son and daughter-in-law was offloaded for not paying the bribe. The next day she again tried and was able to negotiate their exit for $800. The officials do not take bribe in rupees and demand payment only in dollars. “I pleaded with them that the money I had was my pension and gratuity of public sector service as a teacher. They paid no heed to my requests and said I was going to seek asylum abroad,” she said. Interestingly all the travel documents and visas of these people are genuine and the authorities have no right to stop them.

 

When they arrive in Bangkok the real test begins. After filing for asylum they have to wait for nearly three to four months for call from UNHCR. They are given asylum seeking certificates. But during this period they are at risk of getting caught by local police as their visas expire after two months. They have to pay hefty amounts as bribe to cops to escape detention. After getting asylum seeking certificates then begins the wait for second call for interview which usually comes after one year, 18 months or after two years. During this period if they fall sick they can be treated at some designated hospitals after getting clearance from Bangkok Refugee Centre (from where they also get medicines for common diseases and illnesses). During the period of their application if some person falls sick and dies it becomes very difficult to bury the dead. A child of one Javed died soon after birth. It cost 1,800 bhat to get him buried. No welfare organisation helped in the burial. Sharoon Gill was a civil engineer in Pakistan. His mother passed away last December after renal failure due to depression and loneliness. His mother’s body was cremated and sent to Pakistan for burial. “My daughter and son were school going in Pakistan. Their only complaint was of not wearing uniform and attending school. They would look at Thai children in envy and used to ask me when they would go to school. Thank God now they attend school as I and my wife teach at this refugee school,” he revealed. There is donor fatigue and the local churches have also stopped supporting the asylum seekers and refugees.

 

Life is not easy for those who leave Pakistan and dream of finding peace again. Bangkok is an expensive city and they have to look after themselves for nearly three years before their refugee process is complete and they may be given the option to settle in third country by the UNHCR. They have to pay for food and lodgings. The last ordeal comes when they are ready to leave Thailand. According to local law the family must live in Immigration Detention Centre for seven days before leaving. They can escape detention by paying fine of 20,000 bhat each.

 

 

“In Thailand there are about 120,000 refugees in nine camps. Then there are about 1,000 Rohingyas. For the urban refugees we have to differentiate between asylum seekers and refugees. All asylum seekers seek refugee status but not all get that. We do individual refugee determination, which is also why it takes so long even after they get registered. It is a very intensive process. You get called in for first interview. Then it is very in-depth process, where we find out as to why did the person leave his home country.

 

 

Considering the situation it is high time for the Pakistan government to take up this issue and end the woes of minorities and ethnic groups who are persecuted by extremists in the name of religion or for their own vested interests. The solution to Pakistani refugees’ problems needs to be explored by the Pakistan government to end their medical insurance exploitation. PAKISTAN: Legalising prostitution — the Wisdom of the UN?!

 

According to a research, modern day trafficking, aka slavery is a $32 billion annual industry and according to the U.N. about 2.5 million people around the world are ensnared in the web of human trafficking at any given time.  The usual victims of atrocious crimes of sexual and gender based violence, including rape against women & girls (young, adolescents and teen) are poor, uneducated, rural and trafficked ones.

 

 

… According to a news report published in the Express Tribune (Pakistan) on 24, February 2014, the country may join the group of some 44 countries already on the ‘Tier 2 Watch List’ as human trafficking is rising in the country at an alarming level – the number of most-wanted human traffickers in the country has jumped from 89 to 141 in the last four years.

REPORT: AT LEAST 700 CHRISTIAN WOMEN FORCED INTO ISLAMIC MARRIAGES YEARLY IN PAKISTAN

 

A new report reveals that at least 700 Christian women are kidnapped and forced into conversion to Islam and Islamic marriages in Pakistan each year.

 

According to the Fides agency, the Solidarity and Peace Movement, a coalition of non-governmental organizations, associations, and institutions, including the Justice and Peace Commission of the Pakistani Bishops, has prepared the alarming report. The report also revealed that about 300 Hindu women experience the same fate each year in Pakistan.

 

The authors of the “Forced Marriages and Forced Conversions in the Christian Community of Pakistan” report have cautioned, however, that the number of women cited is the official number of reported cases; “the true extent of the problem is probably much bigger, since many cases are not reported.”

 

The report explains that the Christian and Hindu women cited are between the ages of 12 and 25, from poor families and lower social classes. Many of the kidnappings are never filed as complaints due to fear of threats. In the cases that do make it to court, the women are often abused and intimidated, then claim they have converted and married freely, leading to the dismissal of these cases.

 

“Under the custody of the kidnapper, she may suffer sexual violence, forced prostitution, domestic abuse and beatings, if not human trafficking,” the report notes.

Westerners are beginning a resurgence of Jew-hatred which is being expressed today in the support of Islamic nations because most of the oil producing nations of the world is Muslim. The narrative of Muslim dominated nations is that Israel existence came to be at the expense of Muslim Arabs that lived there before European Jews began to immigrate back to the Land of their God-given heritage.

 

Thus Westerners – especially Europeans – are believing the lie that all economic woe is due to Muslim Jew-hatred thus the petroleum economy is a dagger to oil-blood that ultimately fuels the global economy. Muslims have been winning the propaganda war making the nation Israel – you have to use a magnifying glass to view Israel on a global map – the villain of all that ails the world. The most common lie today is that the Israeli government is on par with Hitler’s Nazi Germany. Hitler successfully murdered twelve million people in a racist attempt to cleanse German dominated area of the gene pool that pollutes the so-called Aryan race of Germans. Nearly SIX MILLION of those ethnically cleansed people were European Jews. The propaganda is this miniscule Israel does not have the right to exist coupled with the bad logic that the Land Israel won back in 1967 is occupied land with those Muslims being treated like Hitler’s Jews.

Few subjects have been falsified so thoroughly as the recent history of the West Bank and Gaza.

 

No term has dominated the discourse of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict more than “occupation.” For decades now, hardly a day has passed without some mention in the international media of Israel’s supposedly illegitimate presence on Palestinian lands. This presence is invoked to explain the origins and persistence of the conflict between the parties, to show Israel’s allegedly brutal and repressive nature, and to justify the worst anti-Israel terrorist atrocities. The occupation, in short, has become a catchphrase, and like many catchphrases it means different things to different people.

 

For most Western observers, the term “occupation” describes Israel’s control of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, areas that it conquered during the Six-Day war of June 1967. But for many Palestinians and Arabs, the Israeli presence in these territories represents only the latest chapter in an uninterrupted story of “occupations” dating back to the very creation of Israel on “stolen” land. If you go looking for a book about Israel in the foremost Arab bookstore on London’s Charing Cross Road, you will find it in the section labeled “Occupied Palestine.” That this is the prevailing view not only among Arab residents of the West Bank and Gaza but among Palestinians living within Israel itself as well as elsewhere around the world is shown by the routine insistence on a Palestinian “right of return” that is meant to reverse the effects of the “1948 occupation” — i.e., the establishment of the state of Israel itself.

 

Palestinian intellectuals routinely blur any distinction between Israel’s actions before and after 1967. Writing recently in the Israeli daily Ha’aretz, the prominent Palestinian cultural figure Jacques Persiqian told his Jewish readers that today’s terrorist attacks were “what you have brought upon yourselves after 54 years of systematic oppression of another people” — a historical accounting that, going back to 1948, calls into question not Israel’s presence in the West Bank and Gaza but its very legitimacy as a state.

 

Hanan Ashrawi, the most articulate exponent of the Palestinian cause, has been even more forthright in erasing the line between post-1967 and pre-1967 “occupations.” “I come to you today with a heavy heart,” she told the now-infamous World Conference Against Racism in Durban last summer, “leaving behind a nation in captivity held hostage to an ongoing naqba [catastrophe].”

 

“In 1948, we became subject to a grave historical injustice manifested in a dual victimization: on the one hand, the injustice of dispossession, dispersion, and exile forcibly enacted on the population … On the other hand, those who remained were subjected to the systematic oppression and brutality of an inhuman occupation that robbed them of all their rights and liberties.”

 

This original “occupation” — that is, again, the creation and existence of the state of Israel — was later extended, in Ashrawi’s narrative, as a result of the Six-Day war:

 

“Those of us who came under Israeli occupation in 1967 have languished in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip under a unique combination of military occupation, settler colonization, and systematic oppression. Rarely has the human mind devised such varied, diverse, and comprehensive means of wholesale brutalization and persecution.”

 

Taken together, the charges against Israel’s various “occupations” represent — and are plainly intended to be — a damning indictment of the entire Zionist enterprise. In almost every particular, they are also grossly false.

 

In 1948, no Palestinian state was invaded or destroyed to make way for the establishment of Israel. From biblical times, when this territory was the state of the Jews, to its occupation by the British army at the end of World War I, Palestine had never existed as a distinct political entity but was rather part of one empire after another, from the Romans, to the Arabs, to the Ottomans. When the British arrived in 1917, the immediate loyalties of the area’s inhabitants were parochial-to clan, tribe, village, town, or religious sect-and coexisted with their fealty to the Ottoman sultan-caliph as the religious and temporal head of the world Muslim community.

 

Under a League of Nations mandate explicitly meant to pave the way for the creation of a Jewish national home, the British established the notion of an independent Palestine for the first time and delineated its boundaries. In 1947, confronted with a determined Jewish struggle for independence, Britain returned the mandate to the League’s successor, the United Nations, which in turn decided on November 29, 1947, to partition mandatory Palestine into two states: one Jewish, the other Arab.

 

The state of Israel was thus created by an internationally recognized act of national self-determination — an act, moreover, undertaken by an ancient people in its own homeland. In accordance with common democratic practice, the Arab population in the new state’s midst was immediately recognized as a legitimate ethnic and religious minority. As for the prospective Arab state, its designated territory was slated to include, among other areas, the two regions under contest today — namely, Gaza and the West Bank (with the exception of Jerusalem, which was to be placed under international control).

 

As is well known, the implementation of the UN’s partition plan was aborted by the effort of the Palestinians and of the surrounding Arab states to destroy the Jewish state at birth. What is less well known is that even if the Jews had lost the war, their territory would not have been handed over to the Palestinians. Rather, it would have been divided among the invading Arab forces, for the simple reason that none of the region’s Arab regimes viewed the Palestinians as a distinct nation. As the eminent Arab-American historian Philip Hitti described the common Arab view to an Anglo-American commission of inquiry in 1946, “There is no such thing as Palestine in history, absolutely not.”

 

This fact was keenly recognized by the British authorities on the eve of their departure. As one official observed in mid-December 1947, “it does not appear that Arab Palestine will be an entity, but rather that the Arab countries will each claim a portion in return for their assistance [in the war against Israel], unless [Transjordan’s] King Abdallah takes rapid and firm action as soon as the British withdrawal is completed.” A couple of months later, the British high commissioner for Palestine, General Sir Alan Cunningham, informed the colonial secretary, Arthur Creech Jones, that “the most likely arrangement seems to be Eastern Galilee to Syria, Samaria and Hebron to Abdallah, and the south to Egypt.”

 

The British proved to be prescient. Neither Egypt nor Jordan ever allowed Palestinian self-determination in Gaza and the West Bank — which were, respectively, the parts of Palestine conquered by them during the 1948-49 war. Indeed, even UN Security Council Resolution 242, which after the Six-Day war of 1967 established the principle of “land for peace” as the cornerstone of future Arab-Israeli peace negotiations, did not envisage the creation of a Palestinian state. To the contrary: since the Palestinians were still not viewed as a distinct nation, it was assumed that any territories evacuated by Israel, would be returned to their pre-1967 Arab occupiers — Gaza to Egypt, and the West Bank to Jordan. The resolution did not even mention the Palestinians by name, affirming instead the necessity “for achieving a just settlement of the refugee problem” — a clause that applied not just to the Palestinians but to the hundreds of thousands of Jews expelled from the Arab states following the 1948 war.

 

At this time — we are speaking of the late 1960’s — Palestinian nationhood was rejected by the entire international community, including the Western democracies, the Soviet Union (the foremost supporter of radical Arabism), and the Arab world itself. “Moderate” Arab rulers like the Hashemites in Jordan viewed an independent Palestinian state as a mortal threat to their own kingdom, while the Saudis saw it as a potential source of extremism and instability. Pan-Arab nationalists were no less adamantly opposed, having their own purposes in mind for the region. As late as 1974, Syrian President Hafez al Assad openly referred to Palestine as “not only a part of the Arab homeland but a basic part of southern Syria”; there is no reason to think he had changed his mind by the time of his death in 2000.

 

Nor, for that matter, did the populace of the West Bank and Gaza regard itself as a distinct nation. The collapse and dispersion of Palestinian society following the 1948 defeat had shattered an always fragile communal fabric, and the subsequent physical separation of the various parts of the Palestinian diaspora prevented the crystallization of a national identity. Host Arab regimes actively colluded in discouraging any such sense from arising. Upon occupying the West Bank during the 1948 war, King Abdallah had moved quickly to erase all traces of corporate Palestinian identity. On April 4, 1950, the territory was formally annexed to Jordan, its residents became Jordanian citizens, and they were increasingly integrated into the kingdom’s economic, political, and social structures.

 

For its part, the Egyptian government showed no desire to annex the Gaza Strip but had instead ruled the newly acquired area as an occupied military zone. This did not imply support of Palestinian nationalism, however, or of any sort of collective political awareness among the Palestinians. The local population was kept under tight control, was denied Egyptian citizenship, and was subjected to severe restrictions on travel.

 

What, then, of the period after 1967, when these territories passed into the hands of Israel? Is it the case that Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza have been the victims of the most “varied, diverse, and comprehensive means of wholesale brutalization and persecution” ever devised by the human mind?

 

At the very least, such a characterization would require a rather drastic downgrading of certain other well-documented 20th-century phenomena, from the slaughter of Armenians during World War I and onward through a grisly chronicle of tens upon tens of millions murdered, driven out, crushed under the heels of despots. By stark contrast, during the three decades of Israel’s control, far fewer Palestinians were killed at Jewish hands than by King Hussein of Jordan in the single month of September 1970 when, fighting off an attempt by Yasir Arafat’s PLO to destroy his monarchy, he dispatched (according to the Palestinian scholar Yezid Sayigh) between 3,000 and 5,000 Palestinians, among them anywhere from 1,500 to 3,500 civilians. Similarly, the number of innocent Palestinians killed by their Kuwaiti hosts in the winter of 1991, in revenge for the PLO’s support for Saddam Hussein’s brutal occupation of Kuwait, far exceeds the number of Palestinian rioters and terrorists who lost their lives in the first intifada against Israel during the late 1980’s.

 

Such crude comparisons aside, to present the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza as “systematic oppression” is itself the inverse of the truth. It should be recalled, first of all, that this “occupation” did not come about as a consequence of some grand expansionist design, but rather was incidental to Israel’s success against a pan-Arab attempt to destroy it. Upon the outbreak of Israeli-Egyptian hostilities on June 5, 1967, the Israeli government secretly pleaded with King Hussein of Jordan, the de-facto ruler of the West Bank, to forgo any military action; the plea was rebuffed by the Jordanian monarch, who was loathe to lose the anticipated spoils of what was to be the Arabs’ “final round” with Israel.

 

Thus it happened that, at the end of the conflict, Israel unexpectedly found itself in control of some one million Palestinians, with no definite idea about their future status and lacking any concrete policy for their administration. In the wake of the war, the only objective adopted by then-Minister of Defense Moshe Dayan was to preserve normalcy in the territories through a mixture of economic inducements and a minimum of Israeli intervention. The idea was that the local populace would be given the freedom to administer itself as it wished, and would be able to maintain regular contact with the Arab world via the Jordan River bridges. In sharp contrast with, for example, the U.S. occupation of postwar Japan, which saw a general censorship of all Japanese media and a comprehensive revision of school curricula, Israel made no attempt to reshape Palestinian culture. It limited its oversight of the Arabic press in the territories to military and security matters, and allowed the continued use in local schools of Jordanian textbooks filled with vile anti-Semitic and anti-Israel propaganda.

 

Israel’s restraint in this sphere — which turned out to be desperately misguided — is only part of the story. The larger part, still untold in all its detail, is of the astounding social and economic progress made by the Palestinian Arabs under Israeli “oppression.” At the inception of the occupation, conditions in the territories were quite dire. Life expectancy was low; malnutrition, infectious diseases, and child mortality were rife; and the level of education was very poor. Prior to the 1967 war, fewer than 60 percent of all male adults had been employed, with unemployment among refugees running as high as 83 percent. Within a brief period after the war, Israeli occupation had led to dramatic improvements in general well-being, placing the population of the territories ahead of most of their Arab neighbors.

 

In the economic sphere, most of this progress was the result of access to the far larger and more advanced Israeli economy: the number of Palestinians working in Israel rose from zero in 1967 to 66,000 in 1975 and 109,000 by 1986, accounting for 35 percent of the employed population of the West Bank and 45 percent in Gaza. Close to 2,000 industrial plants, employing almost half of the work force, were established in the territories under Israeli rule.

 

During the 1970’s, the West Bank and Gaza constituted the fourth fastest-growing economy in the world — ahead of such “wonders” as Singapore, Hong Kong, and Korea, and substantially ahead of Israel itself. Although GNP per capita grew somewhat more slowly, the rate was still high by international standards, with per-capita GNP expanding tenfold between 1968 and 1991 from $165 to $1,715 (compared with Jordan’s $1,050, Egypt’s $600, Turkey’s $1,630, and Tunisia’s $1,440). By 1999, Palestinian per-capita income was nearly double Syria’s, more than four times Yemen’s, and 10 percent higher than Jordan’s (one of the better off Arab states). Only the oil-rich Gulf states and Lebanon were more affluent.

 

Under Israeli rule, the Palestinians also made vast progress in social welfare. Perhaps most significantly, mortality rates in the West Bank and Gaza fell by more than two-thirds between 1970 and 1990, while life expectancy rose from 48 years in 1967 to 72 in 2000 (compared with an average of 68 years for all the countries of the Middle East and North Africa). Israeli medical programs reduced the infant-mortality rate of 60 per 1,000 live births in 1968 to 15 per 1,000 in 2000 (in Iraq the rate is 64, in Egypt 40, in Jordan 23, in Syria 22). And under a systematic program of inoculation, childhood diseases like polio, whooping cough, tetanus, and measles were eradicated.

 

No less remarkable were advances in the Palestinians’ standard of living. By 1986, 92.8 percent of the population in the West Bank and Gaza had electricity around the clock, as compared to 20.5 percent in 1967; 85 percent had running water in dwellings, as compared to 16 percent in 1967; 83.5 percent had electric or gas ranges for cooking, as compared to 4 percent in 1967; and so on for refrigerators, televisions, and cars.

 

Finally, and perhaps most strikingly, during the two decades preceding the intifada of the late 1980’s, the number of schoolchildren in the territories grew by 102 percent, and the number of classes by 99 percent, though the population itself had grown by only 28 percent. Even more dramatic was the progress in higher education. At the time of the Israeli occupation of Gaza and the West Bank, not a single university existed in these territories. By the early 1990’s, there were seven such institutions, boasting some 16,500 students. Illiteracy rates dropped to 14 percent of adults over age 15, compared with 69 percent in Morocco, 61 percent in Egypt, 45 percent in Tunisia, and 44 percent in Syria.

 

All this, as I have noted, took place against the backdrop of Israel’s hands-off policy in the political and administrative spheres. Indeed, even as the PLO (until 1982 headquartered in Lebanon and thereafter in Tunisia) proclaimed its ongoing commitment to the destruction of the Jewish state, the Israelis did surprisingly little to limit its political influence in the territories. The publication of pro-PLO editorials was permitted in the local press, and anti-Israel activities by PLO supporters were tolerated so long as they did not involve overt incitements to violence. Israel also allowed the free flow of PLO-controlled funds, a policy justified by Minister of Defense Ezer Weizmann in 1978 in these (deluded) words: “It does not matter that they get money from the PLO, as long as they don’t build arms factories with it.” Nor, with very few exceptions, did Israel encourage the formation of Palestinian political institutions that might serve as a counterweight to the PLO. As a result, the PLO gradually established itself as the predominant force in the territories, relegating the pragmatic traditional leadership to the fringes of the political system.

 

Given the extreme and even self-destructive leniency of Israel’s administrative policies, what seems remarkable is that it took as long as it did for the PLO to entice the residents of the West Bank and Gaza into a popular struggle against the Jewish state. Here Israel’s counterinsurgency measures must be given their due, as well as the low level of national consciousness among the Palestinians and the sheer rapidity and scope of the improvements in their standard of living. The fact remains, however, that during the two-and-a-half decades from the occupation of the territories to the onset of the Oslo peace process in 1993, there was very little “armed resistance,” and most terrorist attacks emanated from outside-from Jordan in the late 1960’s, then from Lebanon.

 

In an effort to cover up this embarrassing circumstance, Fatah, the PLO’s largest constituent organization, adopted the slogan that “there is no difference between inside and outside.” But there was a difference, and a rather fundamental one. By and large, the residents of the territories wished to get on with their lives and take advantage of the opportunities afforded by Israeli rule. Had the West Bank eventually been returned to Jordan, its residents, all of whom had been Jordanian citizens before 1967, might well have reverted to that status. Alternatively, had Israel prevented the spread of the PLO’s influence in the territories, a local leadership, better attuned to the real interests and desires of the people and more amenable to peaceful coexistence with Israel, might have emerged.

 

But these things were not to be. By the mid1970’s, the PLO had made itself into the “sole representative of the Palestinian people,” and in short order Jordan and Egypt washed their hands of the West Bank and Gaza. Whatever the desires of the people living in the territories, the PLO had vowed from the moment of its founding in the mid1960’s — well before the Six-Day war — to pursue its “revolution until victory,” that is, until the destruction of the Jewish state. Once its position was secure, it proceeded to do precisely that.

 

By the mid-1990’s, thanks to Oslo, the PLO had achieved a firm foothold in the West Bank and Gaza. Its announced purpose was to lay the groundwork for Palestinian statehood but its real purpose was to do what it knew best-namely, create an extensive terrorist infrastructure and use it against its Israeli “peace partner.” At first it did this tacitly, giving a green light to other terrorist organizations like Hamas and Islamic Jihad; then it operated openly and directly.

 

But what did all this have to do with Israel’s “occupation”? The declaration signed on the White House lawn in 1993 by the PLO and the Israeli government provided for Palestinian self-rule in the entire West Bank and the Gaza Strip for a transitional period not to exceed five years, during which Israel and the Palestinians would negotiate a permanent peace settlement. During this interim period the territories would be administered by a Palestinian Council, to be freely and democratically elected after the withdrawal of Israeli military forces both from the Gaza Strip and from the populated areas of the West Bank.

 

By May 1994, Israel had completed its withdrawal from the Gaza Strip (apart from a small stretch of territory containing Israeli settlements) and the Jericho area of the West Bank. On July 1, Yasir Arafat made his triumphant entry into Gaza. On September 28, 1995, despite Arafat’s abysmal failure to clamp down on terrorist activities in the territories now under his control, the two parties signed an interim agreement, and by the end of the year Israeli forces had been withdrawn from the West Bank’s populated areas with the exception of Hebron (where redeployment was completed in early 1997). On January 20, 1996, elections to the Palestinian Council were held, and shortly afterward both the Israeli civil administration and military government were dissolved.

 

The geographical scope of these Israeli withdrawals was relatively limited; the surrendered land amounted to some 30 percent of the West Bank’s overall territory. But its impact on the Palestinian population was nothing short of revolutionary. At one fell swoop, Israel relinquished control over virtually all of the West Bank’s 1.4 million residents. Since that time, nearly 60 percent of them-in the Jericho area and in the seven main cities of Jenin, Nablus, Tulkarm, Qalqilya, Ramallah, Bethlehem, and Hebron-have lived entirely under Palestinian jurisdiction. Another 40 percent live in towns, villages, refugee camps, and hamlets where the Palestinian Authority exercises civil authority but, in line with the Oslo accords, Israel has maintained “overriding responsibility for security.” Some two percent of the West Bank’s population-tens of thousands of Palestinians-continue to live in areas where Israel has complete control, but even there the Palestinian Authority maintains “functional jurisdiction.”

 

In short, since the beginning of 1996, and certainly following the completion of the redeployment from Hebron in January 1997, 99 percent of the Palestinian population of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip have not lived under Israeli occupation. By no conceivable stretching of words can the anti-Israel violence emanating from the territories during these years be made to qualify as resistance to foreign occupation. In these years there has been no such occupation.

 

If the stubborn persistence of Palestinian terrorism is not attributable to the continuing occupation, many of the worst outrages against Israeli civilians likewise occurred-contrary to the mantra of Palestinian spokesmen and their apologists-not at moments of breakdown in the Oslo “peace process” but at its high points, when the prospect of Israeli withdrawal appeared brightest and most imminent.

 

Suicide bombings, for example, were introduced in the atmosphere of euphoria only a few months after the historic Rabin-Arafat handshake on the White House lawn: eight people were murdered in April 1994 while riding a bus in the town of Afula. Six months later, 21 Israelis were murdered on a bus in Tel Aviv. In the following year, five bombings took the lives of a further 38 Israelis. During the short-lived government of the dovish Shimon Peres (November 1995-May 1996), after the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin, 58 Israelis were murdered within the span of one week in three suicide bombings in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

 

Further disproving the standard view is the fact that terrorism was largely curtailed following Benjamin Netanyahu’s election in May 1996 and the consequent slowdown in the Oslo process. During Netanyahu’s three years in power, some 50 Israelis were murdered in terrorist attacks-a third of the casualty rate during the Rabin government and a sixth of the casualty rate during Peres’s term.

 

There was a material side to this downturn in terrorism as well. Between 1994 and 1996, the Rabin and Peres governments had imposed repeated closures on the territories in order to stem the tidal wave of terrorism in the wake of the Oslo accords. This had led to a steep drop in the Palestinian economy. With workers unable to get into Israel, unemployment rose sharply, reaching as high as 50 percent in Gaza. The movement of goods between Israel and the territories, as well as between the West Bank and Gaza, was seriously disrupted, slowing exports and discouraging potential private investment.

 

The economic situation in the territories began to improve during the term of the Netanyahu government, as the steep fall in terrorist attacks led to a corresponding decrease in closures. Real GNP per capita grew by 3.5 percent in 1997, 7.7 percent in 1998, and 3.5 percent in 1999, while unemployment was more than halved. By the beginning of 1999, according to the World Bank, the West Bank and Gaza had fully recovered from the economic decline of the previous years.

 

Then, in still another turnabout, came Ehud Barak, who in the course of a dizzying six months in late 2000 and early 2001 offered Yasir Arafat a complete end to the Israeli presence, ceding virtually the entire West Bank and the Gaza Strip to the nascent Palestinian state together with some Israeli territory, and making breathtaking concessions over Israel’s capital city of Jerusalem. To this, however, Arafat’s response was war. Since its launch, the Palestinian campaign has inflicted thousands of brutal attacks on Israeli civilians-suicide bombings, drive-by shootings, stabbings, lynching, stonings — murdering more than 500 and wounding some 4,000.

 

In the entire two decades of Israeli occupation preceding the Oslo accords, some 400 Israelis were murdered; since the conclusion of that “peace” agreement, twice as many have lost their lives in terrorist attacks. If the occupation was the cause of terrorism, why was terrorism sparse during the years of actual occupation, why did it increase dramatically with the prospect of the end of the occupation, and why did it escalate into open war upon Israel’s most far-reaching concessions ever? To the contrary, one might argue with far greater plausibility that the absence of occupation-that is, the withdrawal of close Israeli surveillance-is precisely what facilitated the launching of the terrorist war in the first place.

 

There are limits to Israel’s ability to transform a virulent enemy into a peace partner, and those limits have long since been reached. To borrow from Baruch Spinoza, peace is not the absence of war but rather a state of mind: a disposition to benevolence, confidence, and justice. From the birth of the Zionist movement until today, that disposition has remained conspicuously absent from the mind of the Palestinian leadership.

 

It is not the 1967 occupation that led to the Palestinians’ rejection of peaceful coexistence and their pursuit of violence. Palestinian terrorism started well before 1967, and continued-and intensified-after the occupation ended in all but name. Rather, what is at fault is the perduring (sic) Arab view that the creation of the Jewish state was itself an original act of “inhuman occupation” with which compromise of any final kind is beyond the realm of the possible. Until that disposition changes, which is to say until a different leadership arises, the idea of peace in the context of the Arab Middle East will continue to mean little more than the continuation of war by other means.

STEPS TO CARRY OUT THE MANDATE FOR PALESTINE

 

Allowing the Arabs and their European friends to set the agenda, Israel has pursued a useless peace policy, bending over backwards to persuade the Arabs to become genuine peace partners. It has brought them nothing but grief, ever more dead Israelis and more acts of terror against more of their citizens. The world hasn’t appreciated that Israel has jeopardized the safety of its own citizens to reduce harm to the Arabs. Instead, the world demands Israel do more “for peace” while asking nothing of the Arabs. How does Israel get back on the right track of making the safety of its own citizens its priority?

 

§  The first step is to understand that ALL of Mandated Palestine belongs to Israel and was authorized by the same international authority that gave the other 99.99% of the Middle East to the Arabs.

 

§  The second step is to recognize that the peace process is a scam to deprive Israel of its land. As Efraim Karsh points out, “Few subjects have been falsified so thoroughly as the recent history of the West Bank and Gaza.”

 

§  The third is to stop going down the wrong road and, as Caroline Glick recommends, change current Israeli policy. Israel needs to stop being an enabler that gives the Arabs immunity while they work to destroy Israel.

§  Others, Think-Israel included, believe annexation is insufficient. Israel will sooner or later be confronted by a choice that can be simply stated this way: Keep The Land And Expel The Arabs — OR — Keep The Arabs And Lose The Land. Phrased thus, the solution becomes obvious. Just as the Jews were forced from the Arab countries, it is time for the second phase of this population exchange, moving the local Arabs to some part of the vast land area controlled by the Arabs. This would be an upgrade. They would have more space while living in the same environment, life style and culture they are accustomed to having. It would allow them — and this includes all the Arab refugees now scattered in the different Arab countries — the ability to govern themselves. Or carry on their way of death, but only against each other. Their choice.

 

This set of papers lay out the first steps of a policy based on reality. At the very least, it protects the character of the Jewish state.

Taking the Legal Route


Last year’s terrorist flotilla from Turkey bound for Gaza was a terrorist set-up with nothing to do with sending aid to Gazans. For one thing Gazans receives plenty of aid of half undoubtedly goes to Hamas to build up their terrorist network. For another thing last year’s terrorist flotilla aboard the Mavi Marmara was loaded with weapons prepared for hand to hand combat. This was initiated by the so-called Turkish citizens that were a part of the flotilla to dare IDF forces to board in order to check for terrorist supplies. Indeed, it was the Islamic terrorists aboard the Mavi Marmara that initiated an attack that the IDF responded with deadly force to protect themselves.

 

This year another terrorist flotilla is being organized from Turkey to challenge Israel’s blockade to hold down the amount of weapons streaming into Gaza mostly via clandestine support of Iran.

 

Ari Bussel calls for Israel to get a head of the Islamic terrorist propaganda with their own counter-media campaign including setting the stage with legal suits and so on. Bussel publicizes the work of an Israeli legal firm that is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that is taking action on their own dime. Bussel wonders why Israel is not actively doing the same thing.

Who are the Korahs of Modern Israel?

Ari Bussel writes about a person who has long been a Jewish Leftist working to propagandize his listeners that Israel occupies Judea and Samaria and is persecuting the Arabs that call themselves Palestinians. Bussel’s article not once exposes who the person is who commonly comes to American Progressive (i.e. Leftist) Churches, College Campuses, High Schools, American Mosques and alarmingly Jewish Synagogues. The person’s objective as you shall read (BELOW this post) is to convince his listeners that Israel is evil incarnate for occupying Judea and Samaria as well as habitually oppressing so-called Palestinians by apartheid methods which include demolishing so-called Palestinian houses.

This PERSON is utilizing outright lies, twisting facts with partial revelation and other tactics that if (probably when) successful will lead to Israel’s destruction. Bussel never reveals the name of this person which I found annoying. Bussel was either concerned of fighting an unaffordable lawsuit or did not wish to receive hate mail from Leftist Jews who support the destruction notion of a sovereign Palestine for Arab refugees created initially by invading Arab armies whose goal was to ethnically cleanse the old British Mandate for Palestine of Jews.

The Arab armies invaded because the Mandate created to provide Jews with a national homeland grew weary of the Western powers in not fulfilling the promises that existed from 1917 and unilaterally declared a Jewish independent State called Israel in 1948 when the British arbitrarily abandoned their Mandate for Palestine.

In the face of looming war against Israel many Arabs fled their dwellings and property out of two fears: 1) The Arabs were warned to get out of the way of the coming genocide of Jewish blood and 2) the fear Jewish reprisals against Arabs would happen because of the Arab army invasion.

Israeli historians will tell you the main reason is point one. Arab historians will tell you that point two is the primary reason Arabs fled their homes. In point one the fleeing Arabs are painted as opportunists leaving the blood to return of Arab victory to claim Jewish land. In point two the fleeing Arabs are painted as terrified people fleeing for their lives from ethnic cleansing to was to be perpetuated on Arabs living under Israeli authority.

In full disclosure I am a Christian Zionist in this matter hence I fall into point one and I am extremely skeptical of point two. My reasoning for being a point one kind-of-guy is that once the fleeing Arabs became the victims of the Arab army losses, not one Arab nation accepted their fellow Arabs into their nations. Not even Transjordan which was the most successful of the invading Arab armies by plowing through Judea and Samaria up to Jerusalem where a stalemate resulted in the occupation of the Eastern half of Jerusalem that included the old Jewish Quarter and the Temple Mount. After the unofficial truce agreed to on an independent level with each invading Arab nation, Transjordan would arbitrarily annex Judea and Samaria and rename the area the West Bank because Transjordan was on the East Bank of the Jordan River. At this time Transjordan renamed their nation after the River and became Jordan.

I have digressed from Bussel’s annoyance about a fellow Jew being a Leftist activist that could cause the end of Israel; nonetheless you can see where I am a bit irked by the Arab claim that they reside in land occupied by Israel when the reality is that Judea and Samaria was occupied by Jordan until 1967 after losing the Six-Day War.

Since Bussel does not mention who this Jewish Leftist I decided to discover his identity via Google. I believe the best candidate is Jeff Halper the founder of the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD). Halper often tours America to rail his false claims against Corporations that do business with Israel and as an ex-American with Israeli citizenship; he uses Leftist illusions of peace to talk to Progressive Churches to push for individuals, Corporations, Churches, Synagogues and Universities to divest any form of investment that is used that helps Israel, Israel’s economy and the Jews committed to a safe Israel with their present borders and not the exposed borders of 1967.

In my estimation Halper is like Korah the traitor against Moses. Perhaps Halper should watch the ground to look out for openings. Although no amount of looking saved Korah’s life from his treasonous rebellion.
