After President Trump signed the 2,000-plus page HR 1625 omnibus bill, America’s Conservative base screamed betrayal. For good reason: The bill appeared to give the Marxist Dems everything they desired with the non-Establishment GOP receiving scraps (or perhaps crumbs in Pelosi terminology).

 

This is good reasoning for Conservative outrage!

 

On a personal level though, despite the Leftists spoils going to the Dems (and those the spoils are legion as you will read from Justin Smith), the YUGE Omnibus Bill was also the largest military budget Bill in American history. The military spending purpose was more than merely reversing Obama’s military dismemberment. The money was needed to modernize the American military to regain steps over the leaps taken by Russian and Chinese military modernizations to overcome current American weapons technology. This is ESSENTIAL!

 

Due to the purpose of military spending I’m not quite as hot against President Trump as many – perhaps most – of my fellow Conservatives. In a Congress that has no super majority for the GOP (especially the Senate), the only way to get and keep government moving on a Conservative agenda is to make some painful concessions. The problem with HR 1625 way too many concessions were made that give the appearance of Conservative diminishment.

 

Justin sent this insightful post on the Omnibus package on March 24. I have since come across some info that may temper Justin’s and Conservatives’ anger a bit. The President has hinted via his favorite path to communicate with Americans – a tweet – that he will build The Wall with the Defense Budget allocation. Thomas Lifson at the American Thinker illustrates how this is possible.

 

Unfortunately, the President hasn’t addressed some of the other Omnibus egregious pork such as funding ungodly Planned Parenthood is one of probably many examples.

 

Without further ado, here is Justin’s very valid reasons for displeasure with President Trump’s signature on HR 1625.

As I listen to President Trump on his action of signing the current Omnibus bill, I am left with no other conclusion than he is really not as strong a leader as many seem to believe him to be. He signed this terrible $1.3 trillion bill for all the wrong reasons and lamented its exclusion of terrible other items, like DACA, but nowhere did he castigate these do-nothing “leaders” for adding a bad gun control act called “NICS“; this Omnibus bill is all smoke and mirrors and the 33 miles of added funding for border fencing is just that – a fence [barely], not a wall.

 

 

This bill continues to fund Planned Parenthood too. — Oh — And Sanctuary Cities Too. Really? What happened to all Trump’s talk about “defunding” sanctuary cities?

 

And how many more times are we going to provide border wall funding only to see a lesser plan offered and implemented for less money and the appropriated money simply disappear? Into someone’s pockets? Especially now that we see this bill provides funding to secure the borders of Afghanistan and Iraq.

 

Trump should have refused to sign this bill and let the chips fall where they may, but he’s terrible when it comes to policy on funding government and many other items. If Trump had not signed the bill, any government shutdown would not have stopped the military from functioning. Since the military is considered an “essential” function, i.e. halting its operations could result in fatalities or impede national security, it will continue to operate regardless of whether or not the government shuts down; military spending would have been addressed soon enough, once Congress returned with a cleaner bill.

 

Whose side is the GOP really on and when are they going to start keeping their promises? This is not REPRESENTATION. THIS Is A PERPETUAL CON GAME BEING RUN ON THE U.S. TAXPAYER AND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

 

Trump says, “I’ll Never Sign Another Bill Like This One” … Wanna bet?

 

It still doesn’t assuage or change the fact that some other very bad permanent pieces of legislation rode in on the tail end of this bill. That’s what happens when the Senate reverts back to pork spending legislation and why Trump is now asking for line-by-line veto authority from Congress, which was “ruled” unconstitutional in 1998, by the Supreme Court during the Clinton presidency.

 

This is also the same sort of bill that allows for funds to be easily shifted and misappropriated in the most corrupt fashion, just like Obama, because there is No Budget and these are only “spending suggestions”. This makes this entire thing end up as one great big $1.3 trillion slush fund (the largest in U.S. history)— more abuse of the U.S. taxpayer.

 

Who’s going to account for it? The GAO? The Big Govt. commie Democrats and statist RINOS?  HA!

 

Whatever the structure of this bill, it is certain and known that bills were attached, like the NICS Act [Blog Editor: See Heritage post subsection “Includes the Fix NICS Act”], a piece of leftist gun control, that Did Become PERMANENT U.S. Law now to be fully employed and implemented against U.S. Citizens. Congress even gave itself a raise and that’s Permanent and doesn’t go away in six months.

 

This was 2,232 pages that NOT ONE SENATOR READ, except for Senator Rand Paul. This is the stuff that SWAMPS ARE MADE OF and the very sort of thing that Trump was elected to END.

 

If this is what we are paying for folks, You’d be better off to break out the axes, knives and pitchforks on the front steps of the Capitol Building in DC and have a good tar and feather party for the criminal pigs and traitors to their oaths to the Constitution and America.

 

Trump called this a matter of national security because of the military spending involved, which is just wrong. The real national security issue at hand is that this takes us one step closer to another massive economic collapse, greater than 1929 or 2008 either one. What are they going to do when this actually happens, because they refuse to control the federal government’s out-of-control spending?

 

Daniel Horowitz of ‘Conservative Review’ writes: “Taken in totality, this bill validates, legitimizes, and codifies the world view of the Democrats, only with slightly less enthusiasm. Which is why the Democrats are crushing Republicans in turnout so far this election season. This bill will essentially end Republican control of Congress.”

 

This bill is conclusive evidence that House and Senate Republicans are whistling by the political graveyard, because they seem to be unaware that the content and means they used to pass this bill will turn off their base.

 

This is the bottom line: If you are a conservative voter and your party just passed a bill that funds a number of liberal priorities while busting the budget, would you bother to knock on doors for them this fall? Nope.

 

This Omnibus bill doesn’t bode well for the future of America. It appears conservative values are dead in our government, as all the GOP pays them lip service and then promptly ignores them in their votes. This is pushing middle America into an untenable position where rebellion, in some form or fashion, in the not too distant future, begins to look like an appealing choice, unless Americans start electing real conservative Constitutional minded Statesmen of honor, who will restore traditional American principles and values, and the American Heritage, under the Original Intent of Our Founders. Looking at a Senator James Lankford Email

I live in Oklahoma. One of my Senators is Republican James Lankford. Yesterday I received what is probably a form email from Senator Lankford addressing Immigration reform and Border Security.

 

Since my name is used in the salutation, the Senator’s email is in response to a petitioned I signed or an immigration reform organization’s form email that I electronically signed. Either way, my signature was sent so long ago I don’t recall who I partnered with to share my feelings as an Oklahoman voter to Senator Lankford.

 

I vaguely remember that the issue was the Senator was supportive of a Border Wall for National Security against illegal border crossings. I do not recall the specifics of my displeasure with the Senator I did vote for in the past. The Senator Lankford email is what jogged my sketchy memory.

 

I did respond to Senator Lankford’s explanation of his Senate voting options. You should read the email I am cross posting, but since my response is shorter, I am posting that first. Some will agree with my thoughts. Some will partially agree. I have a suspicion some will strongly disagree with my favorability of inclusion of current benefactors of the so-called DACA dudes Obama unconstitutionally allowed to remain in the USA. The irony is I am with President Trump on giving immigration status to 1.8 million illegals as opposed to the fake Dem-proposal of (I think) 600,000 illegals.

 

Here was my email response to Senator Lankford:

 

Senator Lankford,

 

I’d rather jump at 1.8 million employed illegal immigrants to have a Green Card to become legal. I do not consider drug trafficking, human trafficking or gang membership to be gainful employment contributing to the benefit of the communities they live in. Those illegals need to be arrested then deported or imprisoned depending on the laws broken other than being just illegal.

 

BUT, before any move to legally absorbing gainfully employed illegals, border security needs to be enhanced. I appreciate your suggestion of expanding technology for a less expensive securing of the border, but I gotta tell ya; I don’t care how many billions taxpayers pay for a wall built even in difficult terrain. I’ve listened to various proposals by the private contractors and I am aware it is a physical possibility to accomplish a border wall. Combining tech with a wall provides at the very least that the government is serious about stemming the flow of illegal immigrants into the USA.

 

I am confidant many of my fellow Oklahoman voters feel the same way. So, by all means. Work on reforming the status of gainfully employed illegals, throw the book at the horrid criminal illegals and dear god, please end chain immigration in favor of merit immigration. That would make this voter happy.

Dear Mr. John Houk,

 

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and concerns on the congressional plan to fix our nation’s broken immigration system.  I have heard from other Oklahomans like you who also sent emails and letters or made phone calls to share their thoughts and ideas on proposals to repair our nation’s immigration policies.

 

As a member of the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, I remain actively involved in conversations and negotiations surrounding proposals to repair the faulty immigration policies in our country.  My staff and I have had daily conversations and meetings for the past several months with Members of all political parties, in both Chambers of Congress, and with the Administration to develop policies that focus on the economic and security needs of our nation and can receive enough votes to become law.

 

Though immigration has been a contentious issue for some time, its resolution did not have a deadline.  However, on September 5, 2017, President Trump rescinded the 2012 Obama Administration initiative Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) because while he agreed that DACA recipients should receive protection, it is inappropriate for any president to create the program through executive action.  DACA provided temporary relief from removal for individuals who entered the United States as minors, most often with their parents, but it did not provide legal certainty for the DACA recipients or provide additional security for our nation.

 

When President Trump rescinded the program, he set the effective end date to be March 5, 2018, which gave Congress six months to provide legislative permanency for these individuals and time to include provisions to prevent a similar situation from happening in the future  It is worth noting that DACA-eligible individuals were at no time given the opportunity to go through the naturalization process unless they returned to their home countries for at least 10 years and then began the application process.

 

As you may know, the White House released its framework for immigration reform and border security on January 25, 2018.  I share the opinions of the President and other Administration officials who believe a permanent solution for individuals who qualify for DACA should be paired with border and entry security, reasonable limitations on family unification visas, and the elimination of the convoluted visa lottery.  The framework of this agreement was based on four pillars that Democrats and Republicans agreed to with President Trump during a White House meeting earlier in January.

 

As part of the negotiations to fund the government after a shutdown in January, during the week of February 12, the Senate opened the floor for proposals and debate to solve our nation’s immigration issues.  Throughout the week several groups of Senators proposed a variety of plans and ideas to create a solution for DACA-eligible individuals, but only one of the proposals, the SECURE and SUCCEED Act, included the necessary reforms in the White House framework and could have received enough votes to also pass the House.  I joined Senators Grassley (IA), Cornyn (TX), Tillis (NC), Perdue (GA), Cotton (AR), Ernst (IA), Corker (TN), Isakson (GA) and Alexander (TN) to introduce the Act.

 

Each of the four bills debated in the Senate received bipartisan support, but every bill fell short of the 60 votes needed to proceed to a final vote.

 

I have heard from some Oklahomans who have asked why I did not support alternate proposals that contained aspects of the four pillars.  For example, one proposal included funding for border security, but not until 2020.  Even then, the bill restricted how the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) could use those fund, and it included no enforcement provisions.  The bill created a convoluted process that could lead to a rapid pathway to citizenship for a large group of undocumented individuals.

 

For all other undocumented individuals in the country, it provided deferred action and a guarantee they could remain in the country illegally unless they committed a felony or three misdemeanors.  Regarding family unification, the bill’s proposal did nothing to help clear the visa backlog of family members who have already been sponsored by American citizens.  Another proposal provided a pathway to citizenship for many individuals with a variety of immigration statuses but authorized no funds for border security.  These provisions made the proposals impossible to support.

 

I believe strong border and entry security is an important step to necessary step to reform our immigration system.  Every nation, including ours, has the right to secure its borders and control its entry process for safety and economic development.  It is important to remember that the southern border is full of diverse terrain including mountains, desert, and the Rio Grande River.  I do not believe a 2,000-mile fence alone is the best and most cost-effective solution.  Technology like tethered drones, seismic sensors, and vehicle barriers are very effective in many areas of the desert Southwest.

 

The SECURE and SUCCEED Act appropriates $25 billion for a variety of border and entry security.  DHS has developed a ten-year plan for increased personnel and for a variety of infrastructure such as a wall system, fencing, levees, technology, and other physical barriers.  It also included necessary methods of enforcement, such as the permanent authorization of the voluntary electronic employment verification system (E-Verify) and the enactment of Kate’s law.

 

In addition to border and entry security, Oklahomans on both sides of the immigration debate are rightly concerned about permanency for DACA recipients.  The SECURE and SUCCEED Act provides an opportunity for 1.8 million DACA-eligible immigrants to earn naturalization in 10 to 12 years.  Much of this proposal mimics my original proposal from September 25, 2017, called the SUCCEED Act.  You can read more about the SUCCEED Act on my website. 

 

It is important to note that under DACA, recipients were not granted legal immigrant status, were not put on a pathway to citizenship, and did not have the right to vote in our elections.  Additionally, they are barred from receiving any federal public benefits, which would continue while the individual has conditional permanent residency.

 

Regarding family unification, our current system allows individuals who have earned a naturalization to petition for numerous extended family members, who in some instances may not otherwise qualify for a visa.  The SECURE and SUCCEED act would place reasonable limitations on family-based immigration to allow spouses and minor children visas to immigrate with their parent or spouse.  Other family members could still come to the U.S. for extended visits, but they would not get automatic citizenship eligibility.  This proposal is similar to the proposal made by the Clinton Administration in the 90s and the “Gang of Eight” bill in 2018.  It is important to note that this change would not affect individuals who have already petitioned for extended family members to enter the United States.

 

Currently, the Diversity Visa program provides green cards for up to 50,000 immigrants each year from countries with low rates of emigration to the United States.  Prospective immigrants register with the Department of State, which then selects applicants at random.  Both Republicans and Democrats have supported legislation to get rid of the diversity visa program in the past.  Similar to the Senate’s proposal in 2013, the SECURE and SUCCEED Act would end the lottery program and reallocate the visas to eliminate the existing family-based and employment-based immigration backlogs.

 

As I have said before, our nation was built on the strength and diversity of legal immigrants.  However, unchecked illegal immigration can create a serious threat to our nation’s security and a financial strain on our economy.  While I believe that all people are made in God’s image and deserve dignity and respect, it is reasonable to expect those entering and living within our borders to obey the laws of our nation.  Although the debate can get heated, we must remember that immigration is about real, live human beings, not just numbers on a page.

 

Although the SECURE and SUCCEED Act was limited to the four pillars I mentioned above, there are many other areas of our nation’s immigration system that need to be repaired by Congress, such as visa and Temporary Protected Status reform.

 

Congress needs to create clear and consistent immigration laws that establishes a better legal immigration system to disincentivize illegal immigration. As you may know, the March 5th deadline for DACA recipients became somewhat obsolete due to temporary federal court orders, but I will continue to work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle, in both Chambers of Congress, and in the Administration to come up with long-term solutions to fit the needs to the American people.

The Great Negotiator


Justin Smith and many Conservatives looking at President Trump’s willingness to negotiate on allowing illegal aliens to remain in America is viewed as a betrayal of one his campaign promises.

 

In my humble opinion some kind of give and take is necessary to end legislative gridlock. So, if illegals are proven working individuals that pay taxes, I don’t have a problem with amnesty. HOWEVER, if illegal aliens are living on taxpayer social programs, those illegal aliens need to receive the boot.

 

ALSO, if the Dems will not negotiate on effective border control – e.g. A WALL – Then blame the Dems and give all illegal aliens the boot. If illegal aliens cry racism, they should direct their anger toward recalcitrant Dems.

 

Thus, I am not totally on board with Justin, but in some ways, I am willing to be harsher with the blame falling squarely on the Dems.

The Great Negotiator

The negotiations on Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), opened under a false sense of urgency by President Trump, the “stable genius” and “great negotiator”, and sixteen senators and seven House members, on Tuesday January 9, 2018 in an ineffectual move to protect 800,000 DACA recipients from potential deportation, once DACA ends on March 5th. These negotiations represent the lowest moment of the Trump presidency, nothing more and nothing less than another amnesty for illegal aliens and the Democrats’ first step towards a full amnesty for nearly forty million illegal aliens (government stats 11 to 12 million), a betrayal of America.

 

If the proposed Dream Act of 2017, the replacement bill of choice, introduced by Senators Dick Durbin (D-ILL) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is any indication of the legislative “solution”, America will be forced to give 3.3 million illegal aliens a conditional lawful permanent resident status. Roughly 1.8 million would certainly become naturalized citizens over the next decade, if not sooner, with voting rights.

 

What happened to President Trump’s 2016 campaign promise to deport all illegal aliens?

 

The switch came after his advisors told him that this DACA amnesty is popular with both Democrats and liberal Republicans. He probably also noted left-leaning polls, like in Politico, that show 54 percent of Americans want to give the “Dreamers” a path to citizenship.

 

I stated in October 2015, that “Trump’s values shift like the changing of one’s underwear from day to day, depending on his personal agenda and who had his ear at the moment”. Ann Coulter, a conservative journalist, seemed to concur, as she recently stated, “The president cares only about his press, has no grasp of details of policy, and simply agrees with the last person to speak.”

 

Under no illusions, one might wish to see our leaders vote to deport all illegal aliens, but the reality of the matter suggests some form of amnesty will be passed eventually, unless there is a loud and massive opposition immediately voiced. While House Republicans are forcefully pushing President Trump’s demands on the wall and heightened security, along with the addition of thousands of federal immigration enforcement officers and judges and E-Verify, through the Goodlatte-McCaul bill, the Senate is prepared to give amnesty in exchange for nothing.

 

The Goodlatte-McCaul bill also ends chain migration and the diversity visa lottery, which allowed the last two Islamic terrorists into the country and the attacks on New York City. It allows the Justice Department to withhold grants from sanctuary cities too.

 

It should also be noted, that after the Department of Homeland Security detained a DACA recipient with gang ties, early in 2017, it acknowledged revoking the DACA status of over 1500 recipients, due to criminal conviction or gang affiliation. How many other criminals have evaded the department’s scrutiny?

 

To his credit, President Trump stated: “It has to be a bill where we’re able to secure our border. Drugs are pouring into our country at a record pace. A lot of people coming in that we can’t have.”

 

Congress could accomplish the same things, without granting a blanket amnesty, if they really wanted to do so, couldn’t they? But the liberals of both parties aren’t working for America, are they?

 

Curiously, the Great Negotiator’s negotiating skills are less than impressive, given Republicans hold the House, the Senate and the presidency. It is the Democrats, not the president, who are driving a hard bargain.

 

The Dreamers have no right to be here in the first place, since they or their parents broke U.S. law, and they deserve that right even less, when they display 1794 maps of Mexico and wave the Mexican flag in our streets. They have no say over anything America chooses to grant them; and yet, these Dreamers beseech our Congress for America’s solicitude and benevolent care, while standing on the steps of our state houses and at the Capital in D.C. and demand that any DACA replacement legislation be a “clean” bill.

 

During the meeting, when Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) asked President Trump if he would “be agreeable” to a “clean” bill, it was obvious that he didn’t understand that meant leaving out his demands, like more border security and the wall, because he replied: “Yeah … I would like to do that. Go ahead. I think a lot of people would like to see that, but I think we have to do DACA first.”

 

Representative Kevin McCarthy, a liberal Republican, interceded, fortunately. He clarified for the President that he was, in fact, acquiescing to an amnesty bill absent any border security provisions.

 

Later, flanked by Senator Dick Durbin (D-ILL) and Representative Steny Hoyer (D-MD), President Trump said: “We’ll do DACA and we can certainly start comprehensive immigration reform the following afternoon. Okay? We’ll take an hour off and then we’ll start.” Whether the president understood it or not, “comprehensive immigration reform” stands for amnesty.

 

To be clear, Congress has no moral or legal obligation or responsibility to grant amnesty to anyone who violated our immigration laws or knowingly put their children in an awful legal predicament. Let the March 5th deadline pass, let deportations proceed, and let the Dreamers sort it out, case by case, in immigration court, like they should have done over all these years.

 

Complicating negotiations further is a decision by a liberal activist judge in San Francisco on Tuesday evening, January 9th, that temporarily banned the Trump administration from ending DACA. Until Congress takes immigration policy matters out of the Courts’ jurisdiction, invoking that right under Article III of the Constitution, our borders will never be fully secured and illegals will continue to arrive at our borders en masse.

 

This DACA bill and any general amnesty for the total millions of other illegal aliens helps and benefits the illegal alien population and the Democratic Party only. Within a year of being granted residency or a path to citizenship, activist judges will grant full citizenship, and the bulk of these illegals will expand the Democratic voter base, setting aside all of Trump’s “wins” and border security gains; and Democratic Socialists will get to take permanent control of U.S. elections, laws and governments, for decades to come.

 

A recently leaked memo from the Center For American Progress reads, in part: “The fight to protect Dreamers is not only a moral imperative, it is also  a critical component to the Democratic Party’s electoral success … “.

 

An attempt to destroy our borders forever more is still underway as “elite” liberals from both parties, backed by U.S. and global billionaires, seek to force American citizens towards a regional and then global governance. They present America a false solution, in these DACA proposals, on the pretext it serves America’s interests and does not harm our society at large, for their own self-interest, and these members of Congress, who are supposed to represent Americans, not illegal aliens, are eroding and undermining the sanctity of the entire legal system and, by extension, our Republic.

Trump’s New 70-Point Immigration Plan Is Bad News For…


President Trump’s 70-Point plan on immigration reform pretty much hits the head of the nail on accomplishing his campaign promise. He even offers a compromise bone on DACA to the Leftist Dems if they go along with funding The Wall and strengthening border security. But let’s be clear! The only way this plan doesn’t get through Congress is will be due to RINO members joining the Dem hysterical lies.

Trump’s New 70-Point Immigration Plan Is Bad News For DACA, Sanctuary Cities And Violent Gang Members

President Donald Trump unveiled a vast overhaul of America’s immigration policies Sunday night.

 

The package would require that in exchange for any legislation to allow children of illegal immigrants to remain in the United States, Congress must approve funding a wall along the southern border, approve curbs on federal grants to sanctuary cities and fix the leaky border to stop potential gang members from crossing into the U.S.

 

Trump’s package of proposals would also give federal agents more ability to stop illegal immigrants at the border, detain them if they slip into the country and deport them faster.

 

“These findings outline reforms that must be included as part of any legislation addressing the status of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients,” Trump wrote in a letter to Congress. “Without these reforms, illegal immigration and chain migration, which severely and unfairly burden American workers and taxpayers, will continue without end.”

 

The proposals received support of many lawmakers and officials.

 

“President Trump has put forth a series of proposals that will restore the rule of law to our immigration system, prioritize America’s safety and security, and end the lawlessness. These are reasonable proposals that will build on the early success of President Trump’s leadership. This plan will work. If followed it will produce an immigration system with integrity and one in which we can take pride. Perhaps the best result will be that unlawful attempts to enter will continue their dramatic decline,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a statement.

 

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., praised the administration for “a serious proposal” and said that “we cannot fix the DACA problem without fixing all of the issues that led to the underlying problem of illegal immigration in the first place.”

 

When Trump announced that he wanted to phase out the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which allowed children of illegal immigrants to remain in the United States, he said he was open to a deal with Congress to allow the estimated 800,000 DACA participants to remain.

 

“Anything that is done addressing the status of DACA recipients needs to include these three reforms and solve these three problems,” a senior White House official told The Washington Times. “If you don’t solve these problems then you’re not going to have a secure border, you’re not going to have a lawful immigration system and you’re not going to be able to protect American workers.”

 

“We would expect Congress to include all the reforms in any package that addresses the status of the DACA recipients,” one White House aide said on the conference call with reporters. “Other views had their fair day in the democratic process.”

 

But Democrats were outraged and accused Trump of racism.

 

“The administration can’t be serious about compromise or helping the Dreamers if they begin with a list that is anathema to the Dreamers, to the immigrant community and to the vast majority of Americans,” Senate Minority Leader Church Schumer, D-N.Y., and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said in a joint statement Sunday evening, according to The Washington Post. “We told the President at our meeting that we were open to reasonable border security measures … but this list goes so far beyond what is reasonable. This proposal fails to represent any attempt at compromise.”

 

Others were not so restrained in their opinions of Trump.

 

“Congress should reject this warped, anti-immigrant policy wish list. The White House wants to use dreamers as bargaining chips to achieve the administration’s deportation and detention goals,” said Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Tex.), vice chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus

 

Rep. Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill., called the package of reforms “an extension of the white supremacist agenda.”

 

He said it is “fanciful thinking that you can sit down with a man who has based his presidential aspirations and has never wavered from his xenophobic positions. I never understood — I just never got it, how you go from Charlottesville and white supremacists to reaching an agreement with him.”

The End of the Line


In the 2016 election cycle I was a Cruzer. I only became a Trumpster after he sealed up the GOP nomination for POTUS. Frankly, I completely enjoyed much of his campaign rhetoric. However, Trump’s reputation as the great deal maker led me to believe he would not deliver on some or much of his campaign promises.

 

Why? Deals require give and take to accomplish most of a desired goal. This would mean deals will step on some toes on both the Left and the Right.

 

The problem I am seeing is too many Conservative toes are being stepped on largely because the GOP Establishment has blocked the Trump agenda AND there is an obvious Deep State hand countering President Trump’s agenda.

 

The Deep State thing for a Deal Maker is demonstrating decisions I have a problem with as well. Many of the Trump supporters that helped him win the election in 2016 have been dealt out of Executive staff jobs probably under the false hope Deep Staters will comply on some of the goals.

 

I believe Justin Smith would agree due to this critical editorial on how President Trump is dealing with DACA illegal immigration status.

The End of the Line

President Donald Trump was elected, in part, to halt illegal immigration and persuade Congress to help him in the endeavor, and although his recent extirpation of President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) was a fine and necessary end to an illegitimate and unConstitutional use of an executive order, President Trump’s subsequent meeting and agreement with Democratic Senators Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi, on September 13th, ended in statements of support to legalize “Dreamers” through legislation. Trump basically lent his name and a new sense of urgency to a legislative amnesty, that certainly doesn’t put America or Her people first.

 

America must not take on the added burden and consequences that will follow any poorly outlined legalization of these DACA recipients. President Reagan’s 1986 amnesty for three million illegal aliens added fifteen million to our population, and, without specific codified pre-conditions, which President Trump and the Democrats seem prepared to ignore, 800,000 DACA folks will add approximately four million new Democratic voters and Republican serfs, while the promise of border security in the future, similar to the 2013 Gang of Eight bill, is never realized.

 

As long as anyone is eligible for amnesty, they will receive amnesty, so it seems. Nearly twenty years after the 1986 amnesty, the Ninth Circuit Court was still granting amnesty to thousands of illegal aliens, who unbelievably claimed they were unfairly denied, because they weren’t residing in America for the first amnesty.

 

On September 14th, Representative Louie Gohmert (R-TX) stated: “Every time anybody in Congress or in the administration starts talking about, … ‘a deal for amnesty for this or to legalize that’, then we get a huge surge in people coming across our southern border”.

 

How can President Trump not see, that if he gives the Democrats the amnesty they seek now, he will never receive the promised, although unspecified, border security measures in the future? We’ve been down this road before. Is Trump really so politically naive?

 

No deal on DACA in Congress is better than a bad deal. Let DACA die in six months, and each DACA recipient can petition the immigration courts, utilizing existing U.S. law, on a case by case basis. If this upsets a bunch of future Democratic voters, who shouldn’t be here anyway, how is this America’s problem?

 

Any potential Congressional deal on DACA, that might have existed, has already been undermined, by Trump’s tweet he might “revisit” his decision, if Congress doesn’t legalize DACA. His suggestion that DACA illegal aliens have nothing to fear also makes a deal less likely.

 

Hardcore opponents to any amnesty deal are unlikely to soften their position, in the face of an army of lawyers for La Raza, who are feverishly working for continued open borders and a constant flow of illegal aliens into America, with no end in sight. They understand that racist La Raza advocates seek to “reconquer” the Southwest and destroy white Christian America and America’s predominant Western European culture. Only a fool aids in their own destruction.

 

The Dreamers do not have any standing or right to demand anything from us, especially something so precious as U.S. citizenship and all its endowments, or even legalization, and yet, they have made these demands repeatedly and finally acquired DACA. Emboldened by Trump’s sympathy for them, they are now demanding the legalization of all illegal aliens in America.

 

During a recent press conference with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, illegal alien protesters chanted, “All of us or none of us … all eleven million”. They used the Progressive statistic and the assertion that only 11 million illegal aliens reside in the U.S. currently, when the figure is actually much closer to 30 million [Blog Editor: Pew & U.S. Govt. stick with 11 million; disputed by Daily Signal, former Mexico Ambassador to U.S. and Cairco.org]; and, the mere fact they demand legalization, rather than politely request it, is astounding and exhibits their complete lack of respect for America.

 

The majority of DACA recipients are no longer children, as many dishonest politicians would have us believe. They are largely between twenty and thirty-six years old, and by the time they applied for college or some security sensitive areas of employment, they certainly were aware of their illegal alien and “undocumented” status. Whether they have known of their illegal status for two or twenty years, why have they not corrected their situation through legal channels over the years?

 

Some softhearted Americans propose giving legal residence to Dreamers, who pass tough background investigations, pay any owed back taxes, complete high school and enroll in college, get a job or join the military. While this may seem like a good solution, many other Americans see this as a slap in the face of legal immigrants, who came to America properly, and all Americans who fought, bled and died in defense of the Constitution and America.

 

When President Trump said, “We’re not looking at amnesty. We’re looking at allowing people to stay here”, isn’t that a de facto amnesty?

 

Trump also enjoys repeatedly talking about the massive, impenetrable, “big and beautiful” wall he still intends to build, which gained him monumental support during his campaign. However, he fluctuates between insisting it will be built and rationalizing why it isn’t being built. How disappointed many have become, as they discover they were cheering for routine maintenance at the border and more sensors.

 

It is mind-boggling to witness President Trump prepare to give away the farm, without getting any concessions from the Democrats, other than a vague reference to “border security” that will disappear under the next Democratic president. Legislating DACA without including E-Verify and the RAISE Act is feckless. Changes to the proposed DACA legislation must ensure that they can’t bring their entire tribe with them, from the miserable Third World hellholes they abandoned.

 

When asked if a bill that gives legal status to DACA recipients could pass without funding for a border wall, Representative Dave Brat (R-VA) said: “No way. I don’t think DACA is passable with a wall. We would also need to require E-Verify and end chain migration.”

 

No one will be left to listen to their lies, if President Trump and today’s Republican leadership, along with the Democrats, pass any type of amnesty for the illegal aliens in DACA, or any others too. They will have crossed a line of no return, without the support of many of their voters, who are tired of shouting their demands at the deaf ears of GOP elitists. Millions of Republicans will no longer offer any loyalty to a party that has broken one promise after another, and DACA amnesty will be the end of the line.
