If you are a Christian, you must have noticed how organized Church organizations are accepting or are being brainwashed into accepting sexual impurity as normal contrary to God’s Word expressed in the Holy Bible. You may have noticed so-called literary experts are making a reinterpretation Holy Scripture to mean something entirely different than the way Scripture has been interpreted for generations immemorial.

Unfortunately for those promoting sexual looseness of one form or another, the Bible warns there are consequences unless these ungodly reinterpretations are addressed. As to sexual immorality or sexual looseness, here are some Scriptures as noted in the first three chapters of the Book of Revelation – Revelation 1: 20; 2: 1-6, 12-15, 18-27 NKJV (Book of Revelation Explained and/or Introduction – Book of Revelation):

Revelation 1:20

20 The [a]mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the [b]angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands [c]which you saw are the seven churches.

Revelation 2:1-6

2 “To the [a]angel of the church of Ephesus write,

‘These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands: “I know your works, your labor, your [b]patience, and that you cannot [c]bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent. But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

Revelation 2:12-15 The Compromising Church

12 “And to the [a]angel of the church in Pergamos write,

‘These things says He who has the sharp two-edged sword: 13 “I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. 14 But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality. 15 Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, [b]which thing I hate.

Revelation 2:18-27 The Corrupt Church

18 “And to the [a]angel of the church in Thyatira write,

‘These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass: 19 “I know your works, love, [b]service, faith, and your [c]patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first. 20 Nevertheless I have [d]a few things against you, because you allow [e]that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, [f]to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. 21 And I gave her time to [g]repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. 22 Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of [h]their deeds. 23 I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches[i] the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.

24 “Now to you I say, [j]and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I [k]will put on you no other burden. 25 But hold fast what you have till I come. 26 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations—

27 ‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron;
They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’—

as I also have received from My Father;

When I became a young Christian in 1978, it would have been only in my wildest imagination the occurrences described above in Revelation could become normal. Much of the sexual immorality described is self-explanatory, but there are a couple terms that may be lost on present day Christians. Those terms are the doctrine of the Nicolaitans and the doctrine of Balaam. For clarity here are references on those terms:

Doctrine of Nicolaitans

Nicolaitans were one of the heretical sects that plagued the churches at Ephesus and at Pergamum, according to Revelation 2:6,15. Irenaeus identifies them as followers of Nicolas, one of the seven chosen in Acts 6, and as men who “lead lives of unrestrained indulgence”^[1]^. He also relates them to Gnosticism: “John, the disciple of the Lord, preaches this faith (the deity of Christ), and seeks, by the proclamation of the Gospel, to remove that error which by Cerinthus had been disseminated among men, and a long time previously by those termed Nicolaitans, who are an offset of that ‘knowledge’ falsely so called, that he might confound them, and persuade them that there is but one God, who made all things by His Word”^[2]^. There is also historical evidence of a Gnostic sect called Nitolaitans [Blog Editor: I am unsure if this is a misspelling of Nicolaitians or if “Nitolaitans” is a separate group] a century or so later.

The doctrine of the Nicolaitans appears to have been a form of antinomianism, which makes the fatal mistake that man can freely partake in sin because the Law of God is no longer binding. It held the truth on the gratuitous reckoning of righteousness; but supposed that a mere intellectual “belief” in this truth had a saving power.

Nicolaitans of the 2nd century seem to have continued and extended the views of the 1st century adherents, holding to the freedom of the flesh and sin, and teaching that the deeds of the flesh had no effect upon the health of the soul and consequently no relation to salvation.^[ [citation\ needed](Theopedia:Writing_guide#Reference_your_work)]^

Today, the doctrine is now largely taught that the gospel of Christ has made God’s law of no effect: that by “believing” we are released from the necessity of being doers of the Word. But this is the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which Christ so unsparingly condemned in the book of Revelation. (Nicolaitans; Theopedia)

Doctrine of Balaam (excerpted)

Right before the Jews entered the land of Canaan, they destroyed the kingdoms of Og, king of Bashan, and Sihon, king of the Amorites.  As a result, Balak, the king of Moab, outside of whose land the Jews were camped, feared an attack from the Jews against his country.  Thus, he hired a prophet named Balaam (Num 22:1-6) to curse the Jews, which he thought would give the Moabites an edge if they were to go to war.

Balaam blessed the Jews instead of cursing them (Num 23-24) and Balak was furious.  Consequently, Balak dismissed Balaam.  Nevertheless, before Balaam returned to his place (Num 24:25), he gave Balak counsel (Num 31:16) that caused the wrath of God to come against Israel.  He counseled Balak to let the daughters of Moab commit whoredom with the Jews and to get them to eat the things sacrificed to their idols (Num 25:1-3).

The outcome of this doctrine was disastrous.  Twenty four thousand Jews died in a plague that came as a consequence of their sin (Num 25:4-9).  The Jews had been forbidden to intermingle with the Moabites (Deut 23:3) and Balaam’s doctrine ran contrary to this command of God.  Even in Nehemiah’s day the Jews were forced to separate from their Moabite wives (Neh 13:1-2).

While we are on the study of Balaam’s doctrine we should also see that there is a WAY of Balaam and an ERROR of Balaam.  The way of Balaam is found in 2 Pet 2:14-15. Balaam coveted wages and chased the money.  In Num 22:7; 15-21, Balaam was offered money for his services, which was typical.  However, he wanted it so badly that he disobeyed the command of God after stating that he wouldn’t even if the reward were Balak’s house full of silver and gold (v18).  Thus covetousness will be the motive of the preachers who cause the folks in the tribulation to follow Balaam’s doctrine.

The error of Balaam is found in Jude 11.  It is simply that Balaam was against God’s chosen people like Cain was against his brother Abel.  Likewise, the antichrist and his followers will commit the same error.  They will fight against God’s chosen people to their own destruction, in the same way that Balaam was also destroyed (Num 31:8).

… (What is the doctrine of Balaam in Revelation 2:14? By Pastor Bevans Welder; Bible BelieversQuestions and Answers; 4/26/year-unsure)

Friends the institutional Church has been looking the other way for unwed couples to “live together” for decades (aka fornication), adultery though frowned upon is rarely rebuked in a Church setting (I mean, adultery seems nearly an epidemic among Ministers of the Gospel), killing babies to prevent unwanted births from promiscuous sex is rampant and so on.

NOW largely due to Leftist social proclivities and the LGBTQ Agenda, all the ungodly practices emanating from a LGBTQ lifestyle are sifting into normalcy into Christian Churches. Which leads me to the Prophecy News Watch title, “Trans-Faith Takes Over The Church: Transgender Pastors & Renaming Ceremonies”.

Trans-Faith Takes Over The Church: Transgender Pastors & Renaming Ceremonies

Trans-Clergy in Drag

September 30, 2019

By PNW Staff

Prophecy News Watch

A pandemic of perversion has engulfed our society as LGBTQ activists demand that we bow down at the altar of moral relativism. But, instead of providing clear Biblical answers to this cultural chaos, many churches have fallen in league with them by aligning the Gospel message to conform with this twisted mindset.

From non-binary deacons that refuse to accept that they are either men or women to hyper-sexual, church-sponsored drag shows, to transgender baptisms and renaming ceremonies, the assault on Biblical values has intensified.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a message of compassion and salvation but, in some churches, that message has been warped to take the shape of explicit support and even promotion of gender confusion and sin rather than an ethic of faithful marriage between men and women.

The Bible sternly warns against leading little ones astray: “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea” (Matthew 18.6).

The Church of England, however, has instituted renaming ceremonies for the new identities/names of those confused individuals who have decided to identify as the opposite sex that God made them, including young children.

The UK’s mirror newspaper recently featured the story of a 7-year-old child who had recently ‘transitioned’ and the mother commented how important the church’s ‘rebaptism’ ceremony was in affirming this change, noting that the vicar was even wearing a silk rainbow scarf in support of LGBT rights during the ceremony.

The Church of England’s new pastoral guidance advises clergy to refer to transgender people by their new name. The guidance, which was voted on wasn’t even close, showing how far the Church of England has sunk. The vote was overwhelmingly in favor of the new ritual.

The House of Bishops came down 30-2 in favor with two abstentions, the House of Clergy voted its assent 127-28 with 16 clergy abstaining and the House of Laity showed 127 votes in favor with only 48 in opposition and 8 more marked as abstentions.

The guidance for the ceremony, while stopping short of calling it a baptism, details how elements including water and oil can be incorporated into the service as well as how the ‘candidates’ can be presented with gifts such as a Bible inscribed in their chosen name, or a certificate.

The guidance further notes: “For a trans-person to be addressed liturgically by the minister for the first time by their chosen name may be a powerful moment in the service”.

As a central part of the new service, called the Affirmation of Baptismal Faith, the minister lays hands on the candidate or candidates, addresses them by name, and prays for them. Whereas the Church is clear that this does not constitute a second baptism, it explains that the Affirmation of Baptismal Faith enables people to “renew the commitments made in baptism and in a public setting and provides space for those who have undergone a major transition to re-dedicate their life to Jesus Christ”.

The Anglican bishops declare their warrant for the new rite/adaptation to be an “unconditional affirmation”. Baptism, however, is not meant to be an “unconditional affirmation” but an act of obedience after one has responded to the call of repentance and conversion.

In fact, the Anglican ceremony specifically asks the candidate for baptism, “Do you turn away from sin? do you reject evil? do you trust Christ as Savior? do you trust Him as Lord?” Incredibly, under the new ritual the candidate is expected to answer “I do” to each question while, at the same time, ‘affirming’ to live just the opposite.

It is a warping of baptism to treat it as a celebration of “I’m OK, you’re OK” when the fundamental Christian message is that, absent the transforming grace of Jesus Christ, no one is “OK”.

A member of the same clergy that once presided over the coronation of her majesty Queen Elizabeth II, has now had the effrontery to ask the faithful to pray that her great-grandson, Prince George, age 6, might become a homosexual in order to increase tolerance for the LGBT community.

Earlier this year, Anglican clergy urged the British government to ban so-called “conversion therapy” for those with gender dysphoria, and announced their intention to attempt to recruit transgender clerics.

It should not surprise us that the youth are following the example of Church leadership.  The congregation of St. Matthew Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoboken, New Jersey now refer to their pastor as Peter. ‘Peter’, formerly Rose Beeson, was the center of one of the first renaming ceremonies in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

The ceremony, according to witnesses, was conducted in the same style as a christening or baptismal ceremony with the bishop blessing Beeson and pronouncing her newly-chosen name.

Some compared the renaming ceremony to what God had done with Abraham and Peter, a comparison that Beeson and her church would undoubtedly be quick to support. Voices in the liberal media, such as the Huffington Post, were quick to lend their support to such a radical expression of gender fluidity. But a closer study of the examples of Abraham and Peter reveal stark differences as opposed to Beeson’s case.

God commanded the change in Abraham’s name from Abram to Abraham as his new name meant “father of many” or “father of a multitude”. The name was God-given and an important symbol of God’s promise to Abraham as the father of a nation. Likewise, his wife Sarai became Sarah, “mother of nations.”

In the case of the apostle, Jesus gave Simon the surname Peter to distinguish him from many others having the name Simon, including the father of Judas Iscariot, as well as one of our Lord’s half-brothers, along with another Simon who was also one of the twelve apostles.

Jesus identified the name Peter with the confession that Simon had just made, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God”. It was upon this foundational ‘rock’ that Jesus would build His church.  (Matthew 16.16-18; John 8.24; 20.31; Acts 8.37; I John 4.15)

It is something altogether different to compare the change of Rose Beeson to Peter Beeson. Rose Beeson’s desire to change her name stems not from any incredible, divine calling but simply her own impulse to swap genders.

It should come as no surprise that we then also have another church leader who refuses to be identified as male or female.  Methodist Deacon M. Barclay is now accepted by his church as a non-binary Deacon in Chicago, which means that she prefers the pronoun “they” rather than “she” and doesn’t identify as either gender.

Deacon Barclay studied theology for 12 years and had originally tried to become a deacon in Texas but was rejected due to her personal and un-Biblical views on transgenderism. It was only after moving to Chicago that she was accepted into this leadership role, demonstrating the approval of the Methodist Church for transgenderism.

A member of any congregation struggling with gender identity confusion is understandable, but when that person both embraces this transgenderism and is elevated to the role of deacon, an entirely different message is sent, which is to say that the church and God support this lifestyle.

Methodist churches are not the only protestant denominations that are starting to welcome the gender-confused into leadership roles. First Baptist Church of Greenville began accepting LGBTQ ministers and weddings in 2015. It broke away from the Southern Baptist Convention in the 1990s but is now a part of Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.

Another Baptist church in Ohio this last summer called a transgender pastor to lead its church. Peace Community Church called Erica Saunders, a graduate of Wake Forest University School of Divinity, and then held an official welcoming service this month for Saunders, according to Baptist News Global.

The congregation was founded as First Baptist Church of Oberlin in July 1866 and is affiliated with the Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America, the Association of Welcoming & Affirming Baptists, and the Alliance of Baptists. Saunders was promoted to the church as “one of the first openly trans-women ordained in Baptist life.” Saunders’ passions were featured as “preaching, the study of Christian origins and LGBTQ education and advocacy”.

Naturally, a church that approves of transgender leadership is going to indoctrinate its people with other pro-LGTBQ messages such as sponsoring Drag Shows in the church.

The Ames United Church of Christ in Iowa, which has considered itself open and affirming of LGBTQIA people since 2000, likes to hold these events on an annual basis.

Last year’s event, published on the church’s Facebook page, assured parents that there would be “adult supervision” for the drag queen and king contest as the youngsters dressed in drag and paraded around, skirting the legal line of child sexual abuse.  With every step the church is working to recruit more teens and preteens into that lifestyle.

In First Congregational United Church of Christ of Portland, under Minister Michael Ellick, an event was previously held called “Drag me to Church” and the proceeds (a $5 entrance fee) were donated to a local LGBTQ community center.

The church brought in the cabaret group Caravan of Glam to perform. One could be excused for not realizing that First Congregational is merely masquerading as a church upon seeing the four scantily dressed drag queens performing erotic dances to music.

The First Church Somerville UCC in Somerville, Massachusetts, has made their drag event a yearly affair since 2011. A multi-day celebration of the transgender lifestyle, it begins with a benefit concert given by performers in drag, the equal of any adults-only night club.

On Sunday, the pastor then delivers a LGBTQ-focused sermon interspersed with so-called gospel music and followed by church members, both children and adults, cross dressing as they eat brunch.

More than ever before, many of today’s churches have become a plague on society as they embrace and promote the prevalence of gender confusion.

Heidi Mund is a German gal who has experienced an awakening in Christ and the dangers of Islam to Western Civilization. She is decried as a bigot by Multiculturalist Leftists and Muslims who don’t want the non-Muslim world to know Islam’s legacy of conquest and forced conversion.

Yup, I said “forced conversion.” When a Muslim tells you, “there is no compulsion in Islam,” it is a load of crap. Mo’s early conquering hordes would sweep through non-Muslim lands with the object of striking fear among the populace to terrify conversions or booty. A lack of submission by the conquered ALWAYS resulted in extermination. AND proper submission without conversion required the Muslim to humiliate the non-Muslim as an extorted protection tax (called jizya) was extracted.

Here is some background info on Heidi Mund excerpted from Tea Party Manatee of Bradenton, FL who sponsored a speaking engagement for Mund last 4/10/18:

“The Challenge of Islam and radical Leftism – How to save our Western Civilization”

She grew up as an atheist in Communist East Germany. Then she declared, “Jesus is Lord” at a combined Muslim/Christian concert. Now she is traveling the world for Christ, and speaking the truth about the Muslim agenda.

Germany is ahead of us in being taken over by Islam, but like the U.S., their media is silent as the Muslim rape gangs wander through their cities. Heidi Mund is getting the word out and embarrassing the German government. Be inspired and find out how she did it and what we can do here in America before it is too late.

Heidi Mund “The Brave German Woman” Bio:

Heidi has appeared on several TV and radio shows across America and worldwide, including the Glenn Beck Radio Show and the 700 Club with Pat Robertson. She became an Internet sensation in 2013 when she stood up and spoke the truth at an “interfaith” concert featuring a Muslim Imam saying the call to prayer at the historic Memorial Church of Martin Luther in Speyer. Speaking up from the balcony, she warned the concert-goers that Islam is a lie. She broke the curse from the Imam’s Islamic prayer, and she repeated the famous words of Martin Luther, “Here I stand, I can do no other.” YouTube video of the event went viral and has been viewed by millions around the world.

Heidi grew up in the same region as Martin Luther, but as a young woman she was a convinced atheist and communist in the former East Germany. It was during this time that she had an encounter with the Living God and committed her life to Jesus Christ. But persecution from the communist government forced her to flee East Germany before the Wall fell. After arriving in West Germany she worked as a teacher and lecturer in mathematics, German and business economics.

Her first book, A Woman According to the Heart of God, was published 2015 in the German language. Heidi speaks to churches and political groups such as the National Federation of Republican Women, Act for America and Tea Party events. Her spiritual gifts are evangelistic and prophetic. Since 2010 she has been in full-time ministry as a speaker and evangelist in the USA, Israel, Indonesia, India and Great Britain. (Heidi Mund; The Brave German Woman – 4/10; TEA PARTY MANATEE; © 2019. All Rights Reserved.)

You can see that Mrs. Mund is doing grassroots work in the USA. Due to the Multiculturalist laws of the EU and Germany, Mund would be in constant legal persecution from the powers that be. Also, I have little doubt her life is under threat from huge European Muslim population who follow the teachings of their revered writings that tell Muslims to NOT tolerate criticism of Islam.

Below is a BITCHUTE video of one of those grassroots meetings. This one take place in Spokane, WA in March 2017. The BITCHUTE video was posted 1/3/19 and a Youtube version was posted 4/3/17 (which I will embed on my WordPress blog).

Heidi Mund is German and has the thick accent to prove it. Listen through the accent, she has something to say worthy of being heard.

In full disclosure, it piqued my interest that Mund spoke where I grew up in Washington State. My home State unfortunately leans Left as does most of the Left Coast. For clarity though my upbringing was in Central Washington which (at least back then) was more Conservative than the Seattle-side of the Cascades.

About APOLOGIAMIXER

We do video book reviews, research projects on religious cults and Christian apologetics. On occasion we will do a travel/music video. Dale Brown is an artist and musician. https://dalebrownartist.blogspot.com/ His music can be found at www.cdbaby.com/cd/dalebrown.

Growing up in a small town, he ventured into the perilous and confusing arena of the occult. Later, as a Christian, he was thrust headlong into a much broader view of religion through Biblical apologetics and the life experience of missionary outreach among a variety of denominational traditions. In effort to understand and meet the needs of people from different cultures and religious backgrounds his wife, Peggy, and he have always tried to find some form of practical application to what they have studied. As he says on his blog, “In 1989 we traveled with a medical missionary team made up of an assortment of Christian denominations to Haiti with Peggy serving as the dentist. To get a glimpse at the mind of Islam we listened to the Muslims and Christians debate at “Speaker’s Corner” in London’s Hyde Park in 1988. On the Alaska/Canadian coast we have logged thousands of miles on boats exploring remote towns and villages. Several road trips across the United States put us in Mormon fundamentalist towns where polygamy is still a part of that “old time” religion. We have been to Jehovah’s Witness conventions, Bahai Faith meetings, Muslim Mosques, Buddhist temples and Mormon testimony meetings.” https://dale-apologetica.blogspot.com

That Which Unites Christianity

Theology & Sin

John R. Houk

© December 31, 2018

As a blogger I typically write or share on subjects that cause me disenchantment from a Christian-political worldview. My tendency is toward the political more than the Christian. As the year draws to an end in 2018 I thought IO might muse with a little more slant on the Christian perspective.

I’ll begin with heresy.

Among the Christian faithful “heresy” is a subjective thing. Roman Catholics are ill-at-ease with Protestants who reject the episcopal traditions related to Papal supremacy. Protestants are ill-at-ease with Roman Catholics that place the edicts of a Papacy over the authority of the Holy Scriptures.

Protestants are divisive among many Denominations that in varying may view one Denomination to be practicing heretical views divergent from another.

For example, traditional Baptists may view Tongue-Talking Denominations as influenced by the devil while visa-versa the Tongue-Talkers view the Baptists as walking in disobedience rejecting the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of Tongues.

Holy Spirit Baptism Denominations may heresy among themselves as to nature of Jesus. Pentecostal movement differences of opinion may appear tangential to the outsider yet to Pentecostal practitioners those apparent insignificant tangents may be fightin’ words.

Simplest example Pentecostal differences:

There are three main divisions within the Pentecostal movement. The original group which came out of the Holiness churches (Methodist and Nazarene), sees three progressive steps in the life of a believer which indicate growth and blessing. The first step is justification, which is the forgiveness of sins that comes from putting faith in Jesus Christ. The second step is sanctification, or the second blessing, which was first taught by John Wesley in his “A Plain Account of Christian Perfection” (1766). The essence of this doctrine is an inner purity of heart and an infusion of power, whereby the believer no longer practices sin. This is sometimes followed by the third step, the “baptism of the Spirit,” as evidenced by speaking in tongues or other signs. The Church of God in Christ and the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee, are two major denominations in this group.

The second division is comprised of those who came out of a Baptist background, but were heavily influenced by the Holiness revivals of the late 1800s. The Assemblies of God was founded in 1914 under the leadership of Eudorus N. Bell, who had been a Southern Baptist pastor. The key difference in doctrine for this group is that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is available for anyone, regardless of attaining sanctification.

The third division is the Oneness Pentecostals. At the meeting which formed the Church of God in Christ (1914), there was intense debate over Trinitarian doctrine. While the majority of Holiness believers held to the traditional belief in the Trinity, there was a growing group which held to a modalist [Blog Editor: Words like “modalist” delves into the oft-times difficult to understand realm of theology. Hence a “modalist” is an adherent of modalism which is a particular understanding of the Godhood. The Merriam-Webster definition.] belief and affirmed that baptism should be done in Jesus’ name only. Another tenet of this group is the necessity of speaking in tongues as evidence of salvation. This group was to form the United Pentecostal Church and the Apostolic Pentecostal Church, among others.

What are we to make of this movement? The early Holiness believers recognized that Christianity ought to result in visible changes in a person’s life. The focus of many early prayer meetings was to “throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles” (Hebrews 12:1). These earnest believers wanted to run their race faithfully and were seeking God’s help to do so. As that earnestness gave way to emotional religious fervor, doctrines were developed to explain and support the emotions and experiences. For many today, the emphasis is on the excitement, the experience, or the new word of prophecy. Some of the questionable foundations laid by John Wesley (e.g., a second blessing of perfection) paved the way for later Pentecostal doctrines of new works of the Spirit. Some Pentecostals allow experience to trump scriptural teaching and attempt to conform Scripture to what they “know by experience.” But fervent experience, even when it involves miracles, is not the test of true faith (see Matthew 7:22–23). Peter affirmed the value of Scripture over experience when he said, “We also have a more sure Word of prophecy, to which you do well to take heed, as to a light that shines in a dark place” (2 Peter 1:19). (What is the Pentecostal Church and what do Pentecostals believe?GotQuestions.org)

True to traditional Protestantism, GotQuestions.org emphasizes Scripture over experience. Yet the Got Questions crowd tries to be nice in the explanation, a more combative traditionalist probably uses more pejorative disclaimers in defending the Faith via a subjective perception of truth.

The point I’m attempting to make without writing a book is that theological differences apart from theological centralities should be considered meaningless. To avoid fightin’ words among Christians it is best to emphasize central theological beliefs that has a commonality amongst Christian Believers.

What are some central beliefs where there is complete agreement (derived from inter-denominational organization – Prayer Foundation):

The Catholic Consensus of Greek, Latin, and Evangelical Christendom.

I.—RULE OF FAITH AND PRACTICE.

  • The Divine Inspiration and Authority of the Canonical Scriptures in matters of faith and morals. (Against Rationalism.)

II.—THEOLOGY.

  1. The Unity of the Divine essence.

  1. The Trinity of the Divine Persons.  Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, the Maker, Redeemer, and Sanctifier.

  1. Fall: sin and death.  Natural depravity and guilt; necessity and possibility of salvation. [Blog Editor: Of interest the Eastern Orthodox will typically tell you a denial of Original Sin. Yet after reading an explanation, their theology calls the Fall – Ancestral Sin. It is my belief it is another case of trivial semantics.]

I wanted to be clear on universal similarities inherent in Christianity to note there are universal condemnations as sin inherent in Christianity. This is an understanding that MUST be understood. Why?

Because the Multiculturalist Left (and not just in the USA) has had a cultural transformation goal that is having a negative influence inside the Christian Church.

The Secular Humanism promoted by the Multiculturalist Left has been wickedly successful in what the Church calls sin that separates from God is normal. Calling sin normal literally calls the Creator non-existent.

Lucifer Cast from Heaven

Who of infamous significance called his Creator of no-effect?

The Fall of Lucifer

12 “How you are fallen from heaven,
[a]Lucifer, son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the ground,
You who weakened the nations!
13 For you have said in your heart:
‘I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;
I will also sit on the mount of the congregation
On the farthest sides of the north;
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
I will be like the Most High.’
15 Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol,
To the [b]lowest depths of the Pit.

16 “Those who see you will gaze at you,
And consider you, saying:
Is this the man who made the earth tremble,
Who shook kingdoms,
17 Who made the world as a wilderness
And destroyed its cities,
Who [c]did not open the house of his prisoners?’ (Isaiah 14: 12-17 NKJV)

The Prophet Isaiah uses the King of Babylon as a type of Satan calling the old devil by his pre-Fall angelic name – Lucifer.

Secular Humanism is a modern type of Lucifer. Pretending to bring light to humanity, the humanist ideology tries to cover humanity in a darkness that separates from the Creator. And so moral relativity uses smoke and mirrors to hide God the Creator’s moral agenda

The Redemptive plan inherent in God’s morality ultimately secures the human creation’s – made in God’s image – union through Christ Jesus with God Almighty.

Union through Christ – John 17: 11-26 NKJV:

11 Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep[a] through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. 12 While I was with them [b]in the world, I kept them in [c]Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is [d]lost except the son of [e]perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13 But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify[f] them by Your truth. Your word is truth. 18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.

Jesus Prays for All Believers

20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who [g]will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

24 “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. 26 And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.” (Bold text Blog Editor’s)

The sin excused as normal in Secular Humanist Moral Relativity threatens humanity’s union with God.

An Introduction to What Separates Humanity from Union with God (Romans 1: 18-23 NKJV):

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who [a]suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is [b]manifest [c]in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and [d]Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like [e]corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

A list of immoral acts separating a person from can be read in Romans 1: 26-32 NKJV. Here is a rough list as defined in –

Barnes’ Notes on the Bible in BibleHub.com Romans 1:29:

  • Homosexuality – Romans 1:26-27

  • Sexual Immorality (fornication in KJV): The word denotes all illicit sexual intercourse.

  • Wickedness – The word used here denotes a desire of injuring others; or, as we should express it, malice. It is that depravity and obliquity of mind which strives to produce injury on others. (Calvin.)

  • Covetousness – Avarice, or the desire of obtaining what belongs to others.

  • Maliciousness (Licentiousness KJV) – κακία kakia. This word denotes evil in general; rather the act of doing wrong than the desire which was expressed before by the word “wickedness.”

  • Full of envy – “Pain, uneasiness, mortification, or discontent, excited by another’s prosperity, accompanied with some degree of hatred or malignity, and often with a desire or an effort to depreciate the person, and with pleasure in seeing him depressed” (Webster).

  • Murder – “The taking of human life with premeditated malice by a person of a sane mind.” This is necessary to constitute murder now, but the word used here denotes all manslaughter, or taking human life, except what occurs as the punishment of crime.

  • Strife (Debate in KJV) – … the word in the original meant also contention, strife, altercation, connected with anger and heated zeal … This contention and strife would, of course, follow from malice and covetousness, etc.

  • Deceit – This denotes fraud, falsehood, etc.

  • Evil-mindedness (Malignity in KJV) – This word signifies here, not malignity in general, but that particular species of it which consists in misinterpreting the words or actions of others, or putting the worst construction on their conduct.

  • Whisperers – Those who secretly, and in a sly manner, by hints and innuendoes, detract from others, or excite suspicion of them. It does not mean those who openly calumniate, but that more dangerous class who give hints of evil in others, who affect great knowledge, and communicate the evil report under an injunction of secrecy, knowing that it will be divulged. This class of people abounds everywhere, and there is scarcely any one more dangerous to the peace or happiness of society.

Barnes’ Notes on the Bible – BibleHub.com Romans 1: 30:

  • BackbitersThose Who calumniate, slander, or speak ill of those who are absent. Whisperers declare secretly, and with great reserve, the supposed faults of others. Backbiters proclaim them publicly and avowedly.

  • Haters of God – … No more striking proof of depravity could be given; and in no creed or confession of faith is there a more painful and humiliating representation given of human wickedness … Strong’s Concordance 2319 (theostugés): theostygḗs(a substantival adjective, derived from 2316/theós, “God” and stygeō, “abhor”) – properly, to abhor God (His will). This rare term refers to people who totally turn against the Lord (used only in Ro 1:30).

  • Violent (despiteful in KJV) – This word denotes those who abuse, or treat with unkindness or disdain, those who are present. Strong’s Concordance 5197 (hubristés): hybristḗs(a masculine noun derived from 5195/hybrízō) – properly, someone “damaging” others by lashing out with a nasty spirit. This kind of individual is insolent (delights in wrong-doing) – finding pleasure in hurting others (G. R. Berry). See 5195 (hybrizō).

  • Proud – Pride is well understood. It is an inordinate self-esteem; an unreasonable conceit of one’s superiority in talents, beauty, wealth, accomplishments, etc. (Webster).

  • Boasters – Those who arrogate to themselves what they do not possess, and glory on it. This is closely connected with pride. A man who has an inordinate self-conceit, will not be slow to proclaim his own merits to those around him.

  • Inventors of evil things – This doubtless refers to their seeking to find out new arts or plans to practice evil; new devices to gratify their lusts and passions; new forms of luxury, and vice, etc.

  • Disobedient to parents – This expresses the idea that they did not show to parents that honor, respect, and attention which was due. Strong’s Concordance 545 (disobedience – apeithés):

apeithḗs (an adjective) – literally, unwilling to be persuaded (by God) which shows itself in outward disobedience (outward spiritual rebellion); disobedient because unpersuaded.

apeithḗs (“unpersuaded”) begins with the decision to reject what God prefers, with His offer to persuade about His preferred-will (cf. 2307 /thélēma). See 543 (apeitheia).

Barnes’ Notes on the Bible – BibleHub.com Romans 1: 31

  • Undiscerning (Without understanding in KJV) – Inconsiderate, or foolish

  • Untrustworthy (Covenantbreakers in KJV) – Perfidious; false to their contracts.

  • Unloving (Without natural affections in KJV) – This expression denotes the lack of affectionate regard toward their children.

  • Unforgiving (Implacable in KJV) – This word properly denotes those who will not be reconciled where there is a quarrel; or who pursue the offender with unyielding revenge. It denotes an unforgiving temper.

POWER IN THE BLOOD

There is Power in the Blood

By Pastor Mike Taylor

Church of the Living God

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
6:20  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”(1st Corinthians 6:19-20)

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
3:17  If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.”(1st Corinthians 3:16 -17)

Man was created in the image of God as is recorded in the first book of the Bible.

1:26  “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
1:27  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”(Genesis 1:26-27)

But down through the ages, man has thought that he knew better than God, the lawgiver, the creator of all things. God instituted certain principles, laws of nature, and of Himself to guide men into His ways and to instruct them in righteous living. But the bible is full of stories of men who would not listen to the Words of God, but deviated according the sins of their flesh and their sinful nature, following instead according to the prince and power of the air and temporary ruler of this world, Lucifer….Satan the devil.

Man is made of flesh, but has a spiritual component that when deviating from the Law of God, is defined as sin. What is sin? Words such as Crime, Error, Foul, Wrong, and Vice come to mind. Each of these words name behaviors that fail to reach an accepted standard. Any group of people joining to accomplish a goal will establish a set of rules, laws, guidelines or principles to regulate proper conduct. When such a code is abused or ignored, a penalty is usually imposed.

It is no different when you speak of our Heavenly ABBA Father. God established a code of conduct called His Law, as defined by the Ten Commandments. It defined His perfect nature and His desire that man follow His way of living. Man has rejected God’s way of living down through the ages and the penalty of not following God’s perfect law, is death. Paul speaks of this in Romans, chapter 6,

23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”(Romans 6:23)

Jesus, the Substitute of what we all deserve.

In God’s love for His creation, He gave us His only Son, knowing that we could not keep the Laws of God, as we are sold under sin. To transgress one aspect of the law is to transgress the whole law, as there is no difference when it comes to sin in God’s eyes. The law was our school master to lead us to repentance, knowing that we were incapable of keeping the letter of the law. It was God’s plan all along to redeem His creation to all that would look to His Son for payment of the sins past, present and future. God covered them all with one perfect sacrifice, His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

BATTLE FOR MAN’S SALVATION AND GNOSTICISM

In the very beginning of the early church, a heresy developed that men knew better than God. It was called Gnosticism, or secret knowledge, Gnosis. These heretics believed in dualism, or the battle between matter and spirit, good and evil, and light and darkness as defined by the body being bad, and the spirit being good. These early infiltrators of the early church professed that it didn’t matter what you did within your body, as the spirit is what mattered. They believed that Jesus was not God in the flesh, as His flesh was corrupt and could not be our redeemer, but that salvation comes from in one of two ways:

» That the only way to attain true spirituality is to deny their flesh (matter) of anything that might tempt them to sin. Those who thought this way became ascetic or afflictions of their flesh.» The opposite extreme, that the things done in the body are inconsequential because only the spirit counts. These Gnostics often fell into licentiousness as defined “lacking legal or moral restraints especially : disregarding sexual restraints licentious behavior licentious revelers. 2 : marked by disregard for strict rules of correctness.”

Bible shows that Paul battled this heresy in his epistles, especially in 1st Corinthians, Galatians and Colossians. The Apostle John battled it in all his writings. 1st John chapter 3, is one of those examples:

3  “And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
4  Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5  And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6  Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
7  Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous

8  He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” (1st John 3:3- 8)

John argues against this heresy. Some in John’s area of ministry seem to have believed that they could not sin in their flesh. Since their flesh, matter, was ultimately evil anyway, it could not be redeemed and was worthless. Thus, they concluded, anything done in the flesh had no bearing on one’s salvation. I see that abounding even today in this cesspool we call the world. It surrounds us on every side. New Age Emergent churches are promoting a new gospel, a new way of following Jesus and the epitome of the Gnostic beliefs found in a religion that has survived 2000 years. Both feel they have “secret knowledge” of what God meant in His Holy Word and have redefined what is scriptural and what are the precept of mere mortal men.

THE LAODECIAN CHURCH GROWS STRONGER

I had the displeasure of reading an article by a supposedly Christian pastor who proclaimed that we must repackage the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to reach the people of today. Say what? So we must doll up the message to make it more palatable for the young people today? What’s wrong with preaching the truth of Jesus Christ and Him crucified? Is there another way to enter into God’s Kingdom other than the blood and body of Jesus Christ? NO!! Does that mean rock music in the church? Does that mean creating a mall type atmosphere that rivals any shopping outlet? Does that mean we must have tattoo parlors in the church? Yes, I said tattoo parlors. I had a dear lady write and report churches in her area are promoting tattoos right in the building of these churches. Some misled people of these new “enlightened” churches think they have the right to adorn their bodies with different colored inks that show they follow a “christian” message. I categorically reject this pseudo form of Christianity, as it glorifies the flesh, not the Savior. When would you paint graffiti with a spray can on the building you worship in? Would you paint a cross on the sides of the building and adorn the sanctuary with man-made symbols that deface the structure in various colored inks? Is it any different when you tattoo a cross or a crown of thorns across your back and say you are proclaiming Jesus? How can we reach the world that is dying, if we ourselves are identifying with them by our actions?

As a Christian, or one who professes knowing Jesus Christ, what is our duty when trying to live the Christian life? There is only One example that we are to live by and follow and that is our perfect example, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Would Jesus allow a tattoo being placed on His righteous body? Would he follow the sins of this world by doing what I see happening in today’s emergent “enlightened” churches? It smacks of Gnosticism.

1st John chapter 2:

4  “He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5  But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6  He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.” (1st John 2:4-6)

Peter reinforced that argument when he wrote in 1st Peter chapter 2:

21 ” For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
22  Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth

23  Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
24  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
25  For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.”(1st Peter 2:21-25)

Jesus our perfect example and the personage we must emulate. God told us in His Word that we must separate ourselves from the sins of the flesh and the ways of this world: 2nd Corinthians,

16 “And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17  Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18  And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. “(2nd Corinthians 6:16-18)

THE WORLD IS DYING.

I am reminded daily when I see the amount of people in our hospitals that abuse their bodies with all form of addictions. I see people ravaged by alcohol addiction and drink heavily daily. I see people who get high on whatever their drug of choice is and there are many forms of chemical abuse that are legal. I saw a young person who damaged his body with a substance called K2, which is abusing bath salts by injecting it, smoking it, or inhaling it to get high. It destroys their brain, their internal organs, and respiratory systems. I see people who are grossly obese, who find comfort in food and gluttony and are diabetic and with failing organs. Or how about 1-2 pack a day smoker who destroys their lungs, heart, and open the door for cancers to invade? If the lost and dying world is suffering this type of destruction, should we not separate ourselves from this type of behavior with its addictions and not even look like the rest of the world? If they can’t see any difference in us, why would they choose this man, called Jesus Christ? If they can’t see Jesus in you, then will they listen to your message? Probably not, but they will take your entertainment in the churches, but live like the devil the rest of the week.

THE MILLENNIALS OF OUR WORLD

I talk to young people who call themselves Christians, but are living with their boyfriend or girlfriend without the sanctity of marriage. How can one profess knowing Jesus Christ, when they live opposite of what He commanded and lived? Are they confused or do they just know better? Hey, everyone is doing it, right? So it must be OK? I see children being born out of wedlock into new types of families, or being raised by same sex couples and it’s OK? Again, how can you reach a world that is dying from being lost in sin, when you indulge in sin yourself, and think it’s alright? God plainly condemns this kind of behavior and the abuse of our bodies and our mode of living to the detriment of our very existence. Peter wrote according to the leading of God’s Holy Spirit in 1st Peter,

14  “As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
15  But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16  Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
17  And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
18  Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19  But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20  Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
21  Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.”1st Peter 1:13-21)

THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES, SPEAK OF A GLORIOUS EVENT

It is quite clear for all that are awake and see the events around us, that we ARE in the last days of this world’s existence. Suddenly, without warning, your world will be turned upside down and you will either be found in Jesus Christ, or being bamboozled by the god of this world, you have followed another gospel, that is not of Jesus Christ. You will have been living your life according to what you think is best, not according to the clear commands of Jesus Christ or having His sacrifice applied to your life. I have tried to hammer home the message that this world is fast approaching the cliff of tribulation and all of us need to be getting our houses in order. If you profess Jesus Christ, as your Savior, then live like it. If you are playing a fool’s game of following another gospel, or a false messiah, and abusing your bodies in ways that are in direct conflict with the clear teachings of the One who died for the entire world, Jesus Christ, then you may have a sad day approaching. When Jesus banishes you from His presence during the sheep and goat judgment at the Judgment Seat of our Lord, you will have no one to blame, but yourself:

33  “And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. …….(moving down)
25:41  Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, (ye who practice lawlessness) into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: ……..
46  “These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”(Matthew 25:33, 41, 46)

WHAT MUST YOU DO IF YOU PROFESS JESUS?

Christian, look at yourself. Do you follow the clear message of the Bible? Do you continue to make mistakes? Of course you do, but not according to the rest of the world, if you profess our Lord and Savior, but you do not live as the world does. You separate yourself from anything and everything that speaks of the lust of the flesh and follow the Holy Spirit, guiding your own spirit in righteous living. A Christian will not willfully sin according to the lust of his flesh, but seeks after righteousness. The truly converted man or woman is a new creature in Christ Jesus.

17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

18  And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19  To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”(2nd Corinthians 5:17-19)

19  “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20  For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

21  Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22  For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23  And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.”(Romans 8:19-23)

Men are dying because they are abusing the body made in the image of God. They follow the god of this world and fall into every unclean practices that leads to death. They die prematurely and experience painful deaths. I know, because I’ve seen it, up close and personal.

How more should we who have been converted to follow the ways of God, abstain from anything that would look like the world? God will hold each of accountable for things done in our body, meaning he will reward, or withhold reward for each of His children who are truly converted, but never quite learned the lessons of righteous living. See the opening verses that started this sermon. He will sorely judge the haphazard Christian who abuses the body He resides in. He will also, judge those who follow a pseudo form of Christianity, but deny the power thereof as noted in the sheep and goat parable. To mouth the words of being a Christian, does not make it so. It is an inward change of the heart. You will look odd to the world, but Jesus warned each of us of that very fact: John chapter 15,

18  “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
19  If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
20  Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
21  But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.”(John 15:18-21)

TO ALL WHO ARE SEARCHING FOR THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL

To the lost and dying, that do not have the payment of their sins paid for by the blood sacrifice and broken body of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, time is growing short. Jesus is right at the door waiting to gather His church unto Himself. Jesus said that the time would be as in the days of Noah. Look around you, does this world seem to be going mad? Is it not as Jesus said it would be? Truly, it is.

26  “And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27  They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28  Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29  But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.”(Luke 17:26-29)

POWER IN THE BLOOD

With all that is happening in this world, men dying needlessly. People without hope of a better life that is coming. Not embracing what John 3:16 spoken of by our Lord Jesus. Our God and Kinsman Redeemer gave up His life on a cruel Roman cross for one purpose, and that is to shed His own precious blood for the salvation of many souls He would reclaim from the sin started in the Garden of Eden. God knew before the world was even formed, and time was created for mankind, that He would have give up His Glory for 33.5 years and come as our Righteous Redeemer. God knew that there was no other way, as man could not do it himself, no matter how moral one man might be….It is totally impossible, as I said, sin one time, and you have broken all the laws of God, as God looks at them all the same..to Him, sin is sin and nothing we can rid ourselves of. This concept draws my mind to the scriptural verse that was the purpose of Christ coming to save this God forsaken world.

3 “For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God” (Romans 8:3-8)

When I was a boy, I recall a wonderful old hymn that spoke of what our Lord did for us:

There Is Power In The Blood

Would you be free from the burden of sin?
There’s power in the blood, power in the blood
Would you o’er evil a victory win?
There’s wonderful power in the blood

There is power, power, wonder-working power
In the blood of the Lamb
There is power, power, wonder-working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb

Would you be free from your passion and pride
There’s power in the blood, power in the blood
Come for a cleansing to Calvary’s tide
There’s wonderful power in the blood

There is power, power, wonder-working power
In the blood of the Lamb
There is power, power, wonder-working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb

The precious sacrifice our Lord gladly laid down His life, to save mankind is found in shedding of blood, every last drop being spilled on the ground. For without shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness, which the Bible testifies through God’s Holy Spirit.

22 “And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.” (Hebrews 9:22-26)

FOLLOW JESUS, NOT ANY ONE RELIGION

Do not look at others who proclaim they are Christians, as some may be deceived. You might look to others for the way they live and use it as confirmation that you do not want this free gift of grace paid for nearly 2000 years ago. You will then make that choice independent of those you hold up as the reason you have not committed your life and heart to the Lord Jesus Christ. You will be solely responsible for the banishment into outer darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. Each of us are destined to be either in glory and in the presence of God Almighty, or be banished from His presence for all eternity.

9 “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11  And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12  Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”(Philippians 2:9-12)

Each of us have been formed in the image of God. Those who have accepted Jesus Christ as personal Savior, must realize that their body is the Temple of God and we were bought with a very high price, hence my opening scriptures concerning this very fact. Those who have not accepted the free gift of salvation, do so at their own eternal peril. I extend an open invitation to all who will listen to that still, small voice inside your heart that draws you to the God who created you. Romans chapter 10,

8 “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:8-13)

16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:16-18)

Invite the Spirit of God into your heart to make Jesus Lord and Savior of your life. Become the Temple of God’s Holy Spirit and flee from anything and everything that imitates anything found in this world that the rest of the world revels in to their own destruction.

Intro to Bussel’s ‘The Gospel of Jerusalem – Jewish New Year’

Intro by John R. Houk, Blog Editor

Posted September 10, 2018

The Jewish New Year, better known as Rosh Hashanah in Judaism, in 2018 began on the evening of September 9 and culminates on the evening of September 11.

Christianity and Judaism are closer entwined than many Christians (and Jews for that matter) may understand. Here’s a brief reminder for Christians.

Christians trace the history of their faith to Jesus the Christ the Son of God and the son of Mary. Essentially Mary’s husband became step-father. Mary and Joseph were Observant Jews following the traditions of Judaism. That means Jesus was raised an Observant Jew following the Judaic Traditions including Festivals of great religious importance in Judaism. The Gospels share over and over about how Jesus preached to the people in relating to the significance of Jewish Traditions and religious Festivals especially hearkening back to the Patriarch Fathers and the Prophets how their actions were a forthtelling of the Christ who is Jesus. (Any Antisemite Christians should think about that before they embark on any Jew-hatred rants.)

Ergo with that incomplete bit of Christian faith in relation to Jesus and Judaism, here is a bit of info on Rosh Hashanah from a Judaic perspective according to Judaism 101:

Rosh Hashanah occurs on the first and second days of the Jewish month of Tishri.

Jewish “New Year”

The name “Rosh Hashanah” means, literally, “head of the year” or “first of the year.” Rosh Hashanah is commonly known as the Jewish New Year. This name is somewhat deceptive, because there is little similarity between Rosh Hashanah, one of the holiest days of the year, and the American midnight drinking bash and daytime football game.

There is, however, one important similarity between the Jewish New Year and the American one: Many Americans use the New Year as a time to plan a better life, making “resolutions.” Likewise, the Jewish New Year is a time to begin introspection, looking back at the mistakes of the past year and planning the changes to make in the new year, continuing through the Days of Awe and Yom Kippur.

You may notice that the Bible speaks of Rosh Hashanah as occurring on the first day of the seventh month. The first month of the Jewish calendar is Nissan, occurring in March and April. Why, then, does the Jewish “new year” occur in Tishri, the seventh month?

Judaism has several different “new years,” a concept which may seem strange at first, but think of it this way: the American “new year” starts in January, but the new “school year” starts in September, and many businesses have “fiscal years” that start at various times of the year. In Judaism, Nissan 1 is the new year for the purpose of counting the reign of kings and months on the calendar, Elul 1 (in August) is the new year for the tithing of animals, Shevat 15 (in February) is the new year for trees (determining when first fruits can be eaten, etc.), and Tishri 1 (Rosh Hashanah) is the new year for years (when we increase the year number. Sabbatical and Jubilee years begin at this time).

Traditions

The name “Rosh Hashanah” is not used in the Bible to discuss this holiday. The Bible refers to the holiday as Yom Ha-Zikkaron (the day of remembrance) or Yom Teruah (the day of the sounding of the shofar). The holiday is instituted in Leviticus 23:24-25.

The shofar is a ram’s horn which is blownREAD THE REST (Rosh Hashanah; By Tracey Rich; Judaism 101; © Copyright 5756-5771 (1995-2011))

With that, I am grateful for Ari Bussel sharing this Jewish New Year’s testimony which includes a prayer for Israel, the Land of the Jews.

The Gospel of Jerusalem – Jewish New Year

By Ari Bussel

Sent 9/9/2018 5:46 PM

Dear Friends of Zion and Jerusalem,

How quickly time passes!  Here are blessings and curses of the past year – embassy moves, earthquakes, Gaza and Syria.

A year ago Christian media professionals from around the world convened unto Zion Jerusalem for the Government of Israel’s First Christian Media Summit (pictured below with Israel’s President Rivlin).  Little did any of the participants envisioned that just months later, the United States of America will move its embassy to Israel’s capital.

President Rivlin Addressing Christian Media Summit October 2017

This was likely the single most significant action of Israel’s ally and friend, the United States of America; what my colleague Norma Zager calls “a simple reality check.”

It was quickly followed by Guatemala and Paraguay, although the latter gave in to pressure and is reversing the move of its embassy.  More countries promised to follow suit, yet the USA remains the one beacon of sanity and stability, an anchor of steadfast resolve.

President Cabrera-Mayor Barkat  Congrats Guatemala Embassy Jerusalem

Another “reality check” by the US administration and its Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, was to look at the utilization of US funds overseas and to stop the flow of money when it is earmarked to pay convicted terrorists and their families (the greater the dead and wounded, the higher the remuneration); incite terror and educate young children to become martyrs; and perpetuate the myth of “refugeedom” for all eternity instead of focusing on assimilation.

Israel celebrated.

A new street sign in Jerusalem, the Walls of the Old City with a special tribute, a group giving thanks to God the Almighty

There were also several moderate earthquakes in Israel (of the very physical/real type; Israel sits atop the Syrian-African Fault).  Not used to earthquakes and having undergone relatively minor preparedness and nation-wide training, Israelis suffered several waves of anxiety, but quickly returned to normalcy.

Then, there were two major developments to which one must pay attention.  On the Gaza border, Hamas is determined to instigate constant mayhem, sending its people to “walk unto the border of Israel and breach that border.”  It also has engaged in a new favorite summer pastime, “Go Fly A Kite.”

Most of us will immediate start singing “Let’s Go Fly A Kite” from Walt Disney’s Mary Poppins (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BA-g8YYPKVo).  The song was composed by Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman, two Beverly Hills brothers.

VIDEO: Let’s Go Fly A Kite – Mary Poppins (David Tomlinson)

A few weeks ago, the City of Beverly Hills celebrated Richard Sherman’s 90th birthday and presented him the Key to the City (https://vimeo.com/282597968).

VIMEO VIDEO: SUPERCALIFRAGILISTIC! 90TH Birthday Tribute for Richard M. Sherman at the Wallis 07/21/2018 | Beverly Hills This Week

The Gazans’ idea of flying a kite is diabolically different.  Israel’s neighbors affix incendiary devices and have caused huge regional fires around Gaza, with devastating results to agriculture and property.

Week after week, this favorite summer activity has been taking place, yielding great amusement and thrill to the Gazans.

Up north, in Syria, the global superpowers are flexing their arms; the local population suffers and continues to be slaughtered by the Assad regime in the ongoing civil war; and Iran continues to strengthen its presence.  Hizballah, Iran’s proxy in Syria and Lebanon, alongside special forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard of Iran are training in urban-warfare.

This, too, is most eye-opening.  Israel’s Defense Forces are training for urban warfare, with specific focus how to safeguard the lives of civilians and of its own soldiers.  Hamas, Hizballah and other like-organizations embed themselves within dense civilian populations, which they use as human shields.

In contrast, Iran and Hizballah are focused on conquering Israeli cities and inflicting terror.  Several decades ago it was kidnapping school buses and holding school kids hostage or smashing skulls of very young children in front of their parents.  Several decades earlier it was butchering the Jewish inhabitants in entire towns, slicing open pregnant women, raping children, women and men, young and old, and using heads for soccer games.  (For those to whom this seems very far-fetched, Daesh is doing the very same in recent years; and much worse.)

Continued Existence

And thus, we see that Tiny-Mighty Israel is constantly on the alert.  Many good things are happening, but Israel exists in a most perilous neighborhood, and her continued existence is never something to be taken for granted.

Safeguarding Israel is her Defense Forces, her Government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the power of prayer.  Israel’s enemies rise not only against Israel but against God Lord of Hosts Himself.  (The Prophet Zechariah told us that he who touches Judea, Israel and Jerusalem – those who negate their very existence – touches the Apple of God’s Eye, for God dwells in their midst.  (Zechariah 2:12, 14))

Deuteronomy Chapter 20

4 for the LORD your God is He that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.’

Recognizing the power of prayer, Jewish people throughout the world say a special prayer (text below, translation by the Jewish Agency for Israel) in which we ask the God will send His light and truth to the leaders of Israel, her ministers and her advisors, and will provide them with good counsel and advice.

Prayer for State of Israel

Our Father in Heaven, Rock and Redeemer of Israel, bless the State of Israel, the first manifestation of the approach of our redemption. Shield it with Your loving kindness, envelop it in Your peace, and bestow Your light and truth upon its leaders, ministers, and   advisors, and grace them with Your good counsel.

Strengthen the hands of those who defend our holy land, grant them deliverance, and adorn them in a mantle of victory. Ordain peace in the land and grant its inhabitants eternal happiness.

Lead them, swiftly and upright, to Your city Zion and to Jerusalem, the abode of Your Name, as is written in the Torah of Your servant Moses: “Even if your outcasts are at the ends of the world, from  there the Lord your God will gather you, from there He will fetch you.

And the Lord your God will bring you to the land that your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and He will make you more prosperous and more numerous than your fathers.

Draw our hearts together to revere and venerate Your name and to observe all the precepts of Your Torah, and send us quickly the Messiah son of David, agent of Your vindication, to redeem those who await Your deliverance.

Manifest yourself in the splendor of Your boldness before the eyes of all inhabitants of Your world and may everyone endowed with a soul affirm that the Lord, God of Israel, is king and his dominion is absolute.

Amen forevermore.

An Easter Message to Our Christian Friends

Ari Bussel is a frequent contributor to this blog. I have never met Ari in person, even so he has been a special Internet friend to me. Ari is Jewish and I am Christian and he is fully aware of my religious affiliation. In saying all this, Ari sent an Easter message to me as one of his list he addressed as “friends”.

Yeah, I know, it’s April 3 and a bit late for an Easter message. Christians should always keep the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and the call for eternal Salvation for arising bodily leaving the tomb empty. AND Christians must realize this Salvation is of the Jews and respect the Chosen People knowing God’s plan still interwoven with all Jewish people even if Christian and Jews have no clear understanding of this intersecting path.

Without further ado, here is Ari Easter message sent on Easter Day 2018.

An Easter Message to Our Christian Friends

By Ari Bussel

Sent 4/1/2018 5:20 PM

Dear Friends,

The Story of Easter originates with Passover, and the Story of Passover can be found in the Bible (the Book of Exodus).

Read it, for not only is it interesting, it was true in ancient times and it is happening in these very times, at present, as well.

As you celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus, we remember Jesus, a descendant of King David, was a Jewish Rabbi.

We further remember that King David’s great grandmother was Ruth, a Gentile (non-Jewish) Moabite woman [Let us read the Scroll of Ruth, for there are many lessons there too, values that should be emulated yet are so uncommon today.]

Jesus of Nazareth taught at a synagogue along the northwestern shores of the Sea of Galilee, and the remains of this synagogue can be visited till today.

Jesus celebrated Passover, in exactly the same manner that all Jewish people celebrate it to this very day and the Seder – the opening meal of the seven-day festival – is what has become known as The Last Supper.

One without the other cannot exist for they are intertwined, they are one Judaism and Christianity celebrating and worshipping one and the very same God the Almighty, Lord of Hosts.

It is our God who brought us from slavery to freedom and from that time forward we are commanded to tell our children and they to their children of this Deliverance with a strong hand “and he who tells more of the story of the deliverance from Egypt, it is praiseworthy.”

Crucifixion

Crucifixion was a usual form of punishment-by-death by the Romans.  Below is the only archeological remain of an actual crucifixion (iron nail in the heel bone) of a Jewish person [Yehochanan son of Hagkol] in the first century A.D.  Displayed in the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, Israel.

The Story of Passover

After 430 years in Egypt, God delivers the Israelites from slavery in Egypt to freedom.

“And it came to pass at midnight” (Exodus 12:29), that the Tenth Plague was inflicted upon the Egyptians, from the first born of Pharaoh who sat on the throne, unto the first born of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the first born of the livestock in the field.  Only the first borns of the Israelites, who marked their houses with the blood of a year old male sheep or goat that afternoon, were spared.

The Passover Haggadah [Reference link is by the Editor thus the text may differ a bit from Ari’s below] (narrative booklet) explains the following verse, to emphasize it was God Himself who was present, He and not an angel:

“And the Lord brought us forth from Egypt with a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terror, and with signs and wonders.”

“And the Lord brought us forth from Egypt” – not by a ministering angel, not by a fiery angel, and not by a messenger, but by Himself, in His glory, did the Holy One, blessed be He, do so, as it is written:  “And I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and I will smite all the first born in the land of Egypt, both man and beast, and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgement.  I am the Lord.”

“And I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night” – I, and not a ministering angel; “and I will smite all the first born in the land of Egypt” – I, and not a fiery angel; “and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment” – I and not a messenger; “I am the Lord” – It is I, and no other.

It is this momentous event that has become a memorial for eternity, and we are celebrating it as a feast to the Lord for all generations.  Passover is celebrated for seven days, of which the first and the last are holy-days, no manner of work shall be done in them.  It starts in the middle of the first month of the Hebrew calendar in Biblical times (the month of Nissan), which is also the month that Spring arrives.

Knowing that future generations will be curious or even skeptical about observing the holiday, the Torah tells us (ibid:26):

כו  וְהָיָה, כִּי-יֹאמְרוּ אֲלֵיכֶם בְּנֵיכֶם:  מָה הָעֲבֹדָה הַזֹּאת, לָכֶם. 26 And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you: What mean ye by this service?

27 that ye shall say: It is the sacrifice of the LORD’S passover, for that He passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when He smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses.’ And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

Why?  For it is “in this very day, that God has bought the Israelites from the land of Egypt.”

Except the Egyptians quickly recuperated from the loss of their first borns and set out to pursue the Israelites.  The Pharaoh, leading the strongest military of the time soon caught up with the Israelites who were standing in front of the Red Sea, trapped between the chaser and the impenetrable sea.

What is about to happen is utterly miraculous, as the God obliterates the entire Egyptian army.  The entire army drowns, not a single person survived.

יט  וַיִּסַּע מַלְאַךְ הָאֱלֹהִים, הַהֹלֵךְ לִפְנֵי מַחֲנֵה יִשְׂרָאֵל, וַיֵּלֶךְ, מֵאַחֲרֵיהֶם; וַיִּסַּע עַמּוּד הֶעָנָן, מִפְּנֵיהֶם, וַיַּעֲמֹד, מֵאַחֲרֵיהֶם. 19 And the angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud removed from before them, and stood behind them;
20 and it came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel; and there was the cloud and the darkness here, yet gave it light by night there; and the one came not near the other all the night.
21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all the night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

Moses, the leader of the Israelites, and his people then sang the following to God (ibid, 15:11, 18):

יא  מִיכָמֹכָה בָּאֵלִם יְהוָה,  {ס}  מִי  {ר}  כָּמֹכָה נֶאְדָּר בַּקֹּדֶשׁ;  {ס}  נוֹרָא תְהִלֹּת, עֹשֵׂה  {ר}  פֶלֶא.  {ס} 11 Who is like unto Thee, O LORD, among the mighty? who is like unto Thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

יח  יְהוָה יִמְלֹךְ, לְעֹלָם וָעֶד.  {ס} 18 The LORD shall reign for ever and ever.

Forty more years will be required until the Israelites will reach the promised land.  It was not the physical distance, rather the time required for an entire generation to pass.

Jesus in Israel

And here, in Israel, many years later, a Jewish Rabbi, Jesus of Nazareth, a descendant of King David, himself the great-grandson of Ruth, was celebrating Passover.  That Seder night, of Jesus and the 12 apostles, is what we know as the Last Supper.  Followed was the betrayal, arrest, Crucifixion and Resurrection.

Imran Firasat’s Journey and Mysterious Fate?

John R. Houk

© September 11, 2017

I came across a video with a sensationalist title sent from of all places I Support Israel: “Watch: Buddhist woman raped by sharia police in Pakistan as punishment for having a child”. Thank God the video does not actually show a woman being raped by Muslims.

The video is actually the Christian testimony and journey of Imran Firasat. Imran was born a Muslim in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. In adulthood he met a gal from Indonesia (Jenny Setiawan) was a Buddhist in Pakistan. I had to wonder why a Buddhist gal would be in Pakistan where some of the most vicious Muslims live who believe in violently protecting the Religion of Peace from non-Muslim religions and ideologies.

Here’s a mystery I have grown weary of searching to solve. I have had difficulty finding anything Imran Firasat. The latest post I could find is dated 5/2/16 found at Jan Sandviks blogg, but the information is only up to date to 2014. The mystery is Imran has disappeared from normal Internet searches for a guy like me that only knows how to use Google, Bing, Yahoo and a few less known search engines.

The I Support Israel website sent an alert of this Imran video on 9/10/17. The Youtube video itself is dated 6/14/14. I have no idea of the reason a Pro-Israel website showing a three-year-old video to garner support for a person that seems to have disappeared from the Internet.

I can tell you the reason I believe you should watch this video. The summary of Imran’s story which I began above, is this: A Muslim falls in-love with a non-Muslim from another nation other than Pakistan. Sharia prevents marriage so they cohabitate. A child is born of the relationship in Pakistan. Pakistan’s Sharia police show up at the door and rape the mother of his child because she is a non-Muslim living with a Muslim. The incident challenges Imran’s belief in Islam. He eventually becomes an atheist. For safety, they move to Spain. Imran eventually converts to Christianity and becomes a Counterjihad writer. Spain exercise its idiotic Multiculturalist hate speech laws which always exonerates Islam of hate speech and convicts the critics of hate speech against Islam. Spain moves to deport Imran. Imran tries Norway. Norway doesn’t want him for the same reasons Spain wants to deport Imran back to Pakistan. A deportation back to Pakistan would be a death sentence for breaking the Islamic Republic’s Blasphemy Law. I probably left out some details but I think you get the gist of what happens to an ex-Muslim refugee in Europe and in the Muslim world.

The reason then for watching this video: to understand Islam and the idiocy of the West’s Multiculturalist Left to emphasize diversity over Western Culture that will lead to the West’s destruction.

ERGO, here’s the Youtube Channel’s version of Imran’s journey from 2014:

Passover – Easter, 2017

Ari Bussel

Ari Bussel, a good Internet Jewish friend, sent a combination Passover/Easter message to me on Easter Sunday. Due to other research opportunities and the holiday itself I did not get to his email until yesterday (4/18/17).

A couple of things to think about while reading this.

One, marketing has become way too intrinsic with Christian Holy Days in the Western World. These days a Holy Day has been downgraded to a mere secular holiday.

Two, there is a truism in this essay. Judaism will exist without Christianity, BUT Christianity would never exist without Judaism. Now that is something to think about for those people who consider themselves in the Christian traditions yet are antisemitic Jew-haters. (Muslims can’t help it. Jew-hatred is encoded in their revered writings whether it is the Quran, Hadith or Sunnah.)

Passover – Easter, 2017

By Ari Bussel

Sent 4/16/2017 5:47 PM

upper right hand side:  1937 Passover Haggadah printed in New York (p. 182:  Psalms 118) — lower right hand side:  2001 Passover Haggadah printed in Israel (p. 76 highlighting Jerusalem, the Holy City)

A mother walking with two daughters stops me this morning: “Do you know what time the stores open today?  Will they be open at all?”

It is Easter Sunday, and we are the only ones on Rodeo Drive, likely the most known street in Beverly Hills and one of the most iconic shopping destinations in the world.

Clearly, what is Ari to do?  Without preparation or hesitation, I send them to Church.

“It is too early on a Sunday morning,” I say, “but you may want to go up the block.  At the corner is the Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church, and one block over is the Catholic Church.  Everyone is celebrating Easter, and it is very nice just to walk over there.”

The two churches sit atop what we call the Santa Monica Gardens, a wide strip of grass and magnificent trees separating the Business Triangle and the better residential part of the city.  Around the Catholic Church, like any morning, one can see the local homeless people, including one lady in particular with numerous bags and packages.  She had settled at the front steps of what looks like a private residence, and she is talking with herself, waking up the entire neighborhood.

Toward the Presbyterian Church, parents with young children are converging on the playground outside.  Everyone is dressed up nicely, in pinks and yellows and other Spring colors.  It is quite different than when we, the Jewish People, go to shul (synagogue).  We are dressed usually in blacks and whites or other very elegant but subdued colors, most appropriate for welcoming the holiness of Shabbat or Chag (the Sabbath or a holiday).

Easter.  Even the Farmers’ Market in Beverly Hills, a City predominantly Jewish, is closed.  In neighboring cities, the spirit of the holiday is absent; and this is most regretful.  Can we not survive one day without shopping?

Maybe it is simply too early on Sunday, because I expect more people to be at church, much like our own convergence on synagogues for our major holiday, Passover.

The two – Passover and Easter – are intertwined.  In fact, much like everything else, Christianity cannot be separated from Judaism.  Exactly a week ago we celebrated the Seder, the special meal at the first night of Passover; otherwise known in Christianity as The Last Supper:  Yeshu of Nazareth (Jesus), a Jewish Rabbi, led the Seder celebration.

Whether or not one believes in Jesus as the Son of God, the evidence is clear that He indeed came back to life and remains living to this very day, some two millennia later.  Christianity, along its various streams, is the manifestation of the lasting impact made on humanity, and it is living, changing, advancing, never relenting.

I cannot stop but note that Easter Sunday this year is the same day that we will be celebrating the eve of the last night of Passover.  Leviticus 23:4-8 declares the “appointed seasons of God,” starting in the first (Hebrew) month (of Nissan; Spring, right now), “on the fourteenth day of the month at dusk, is the Lord’s Passover.  And on the fifteenth day of this month is the Feast of the Unleavened Bread unto the Lord, seven days ye shall eat unleavened bread.  In the first day ye shall have a holy convocation, ye shall do no manner of work.  And ye shall bring an offering made by fire unto the Lord seven days, in the seventh day is a holy convocation, ye shall do not manner of work.”

Much like this past Chanukah and Christmas that coincided in December 2016, so now, Easter and the seventh day of Passover fall on the same day.  I think of the woman and her two daughters whom I sent to church early morning on this Easter Sunday.  Just the Chutzpah, what an idea!  Church instead of early shopping?

And I continue thinking of the influence of a single person, believed by so many millions to be the Son of God, thus God Himself, and His influence on our civilization, on our very being.  We hear constantly that “Jews control the world,” but we leave an imprint, never shy from expressing an opinion, trying to better the world, being a light unto the nations.  Here is the epitome of this understanding.  The heights to which a Jewish person can ascend, the influence He can attain – the promise that is embedded in each and every one of us, created in the image of God Himself, and the depth of the suffering and sorrow which one can experience.

Remember, “for whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.” (First Corinthians 11:26)

Via Dolorosa, the Way of Sorrows to the place of the Crucifixion, whereupon its entire length and its various stops, Jesus was mocked, spat upon, beaten and scourged, and yet He “carried our illnesses and our pains He suffered … and in His company we were healed” (Isaiah 53:4-5).  The death of Christ on the Cross and his bodily resurrection are pivotal events in Christianity, as Passover and the great miracles of God are in the Jewish Bible.

The deliverance from slavery to freedom, the Ten Plagues, Passing Over the abodes of the Hebrews and sparing them the Plague of the First Born, the Parting of the Red Sea, the Giving of the Torah and the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai, feeding the Hebrews Manna from Heaven, providing them water and guiding them during the 40 years of wandering in the desert, and finally bringing them to the Promised Land, a Land of Milk and Honey, and residing there, in the place of His choosing, among His people, [a very long sentence, to be read in one breath, as the Glory of the Almighty like a storm engulfs, overwhelms and uplifts us] is the paramount action of God the Almighty that we remember and celebrate to this very day.

Each Shabbat, the Jewish people read a consecutive portion of the Torah, the first five books of the Bible.  Corresponding to each of these Portions is a specific section from the Prophets.

For the Shabbat that falls during Pessach (Passover) we read Ezekiel 37, the Vision of the Valley of Dry Bones.  In Biblical days, it was the deliverance from slavery to freedom, and in modern times, in this era, it is redemption – Geulah.  We are not quite there yet, for even among us, we are still divided.  Ashkenazi Jews add more verses than Sephardic Jews, and it is very prophecy that tells us how a house united, one in God’s hands, becomes one people, God’s people, and He their God.

And Ezekiel then ends this prophecy: “And the nations shall know that I am God who sanctifies Israel when My sanctuary is in their midst forever.”  (37:28)

Despite all the minor though visible divisions, both internal and external, within Judaism and within Christianity and between the two religions, we are all God’s people, and it is good that there is a major holiday, Passover for the Jews and Easter for the Christians, to remind us of what is truly important, more than just shopping on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills on Easter.
As the Prophet Micah tells us (6:8):

“What does the Lord requires of thee?  Only to do justly, and to love mercy and to walk humbly with thy God.”

Islam means SUBMISSION

There are many religious beliefs which includes atheism, evolutionism, humanism, etc. that exclude God and those that include a god of man’s making i.e. man himself, or another man, or a mythical being. Islam is a political movement wanting world domination by force/coercion/violence and a belief system of their own making and not obeying the Creator God.

Jay Smith points out many interesting points that Muslims never told us.
Allah & Muhammad had nothing to do with the Quran or Islam.
The Quran and Islam was created by Abdul Malik in the 8th century who was a caliph from 685-705 – the great Arab reformer.
Abdul Malik takes and creates an Identity for Arabs.
Abdul Malik names who the prophet will be.
Abdul Malik creates the first Quran in the 8th century.

It all begins with Abdul Malik in the 8th century.
200 to 300 years after Muhammad’s death, the Quran was made.
We have the biography of Muhammad at the 9th century.
There is no complete manuscript at all from the 7th century, they only appear in the 8th century.
70% of the Quran is borrowed writings from Jewish writings and Christian sectarians and is all agreed with western scholars.
There are no peaceful verses in the Quran.

Bill differentiates between the historical Muhammad and the Muhammad of the Quran. Unbeknownst to many, Muhammad spent much of his life as a politician and jihadist, and was involved in many assassinations. He made Islam a political and monetary system.
Islam [as all others] is a manmade so-called religion circa. 632 AD for the Arabs by Arabs and isn’t God’s way. God was not silent for 4600 years and anyone contradicting God is not for God but is against God.

They deny Jesus as the Son of God who was crucified, resurrected, born/MADE of the Virgin and seated at the right hand of God’s throne.

The Old Testament is the eyewitness narrative of God’s real interaction with humanity starting with Abraham, a nomad without children, whom God approached to make the Father of all those that trust God by Faith. There’re no Abrahamic religions; God isn’t a Religion. The New Testament is the fulfillment of the OT. Islam is circa 632 A.D. God’s creation was about 6000 years ago, Thus God has interacted with humans and unfolded His way thousands of years before Islam. Islam as a political movement seeking world domination is not truly religious in the truest sense. Islam is hiding behind religion and trying to appear as a peaceful religion. Biblically “religion” is charity work done for the orphan, widow, poor, sick etc. and not world domination by violence. God is not a RELIGION; God is a superior intelligence/being that created all that exists including languages that His creatures use. God knows what He says and has communicated with humanity in various ways as delineated in the Bible ONLY.
The Muslims know about Jesus and consider him to be a prophet of God born of Mary, accept the first 5 books of the Old Testament, and there are many accepting salvation in Jesus and becoming Christians.

Many of them are inclined toward God but are deceived by their leaders away from Jesus/Christianity with coercion and threats of death.
The Qur’an is nonsensical, the sayings of an illiterate man and not God’s word, whereas, the Bible is vindicated by Real Science and Archaeological evidence.
Taqiyya and kitman are two forms of lying to unbelievers that are permitted under certain circumstances in Islam.
See Deception, Lying and Taqiyya
http://thereligionofpeace.com/pages/quran/taqiyya.aspx

Does Islam permit Muslims to lie?

Muslim scholars teach that Muslims should generally be truthful to each other, unless the purpose of lying is to “smooth over differences.”

There are several forms of lying to non-believers that are permitted under certain circumstances, the best known being taqiyya. These circumstances are typically those that advance the cause of Islam – in some cases by gaining the trust of non-believers in order to draw out their vulnerability and defeat them.

There is no such thing as “Peaceful Islam” or “Peaceful Muslims”, They have not progressed into the modern world.

Koran 2:191 “slay the unbelievers wherever you find

Koran 3:21 “Muslims must not take the infidels as friends”

Koran 5:33 “Maim and crucify the infidels if they criticize Islam”

Koran 8:12 “Terrorize and behead those who believe in scriptures other than the Koran”

Koran 8:60 “Muslims must muster all weapons to terrorize the infidels”

Koran 8:65 “The unbelievers are stupid, urge all Muslims to fight them”

Koran 9:5 “When the opportunity arises, kill the infidels wherever you find them”

Koran 9:123 “Make war on the infidels living in your neighborhood”

Koran 22:19 “Punish the unbelievers with garments of fire, hooked iron rods, boiling water, melt their skin and bellies”

Koran 47:4 “Do not hanker for peace with the infidels, behead them when you catch them”.

Islam since about 632 A.D. and in accord with the demands of the koran/mohammed is responsible for about 300 million lives slaughtered in caliphates and in genocides of other faiths and those that would not convert.

About 300 Million Christians have been martyred since about 30 A.D, the first Advent of Jesus. Jesus did not and did not command anyone to take anyone’s life, or to conquer the world, or to make war, or to commit any evil.

Real Christians are those that obey the commands of Jesus, just as real muslims/Islamists are those involved in murderous Jihad/Caliphates.

A response to a Muslim:

+soror jebari As a Muslim you don’t listen to Jesus and obey Jesus who was a Jew. Only those that accept Jesus as the Only Begotten Son of God have Jesus and God. All those that deny that Jesus is the Son of God are anti-Christ and are not real Jews and do not have God.

Why do you hate and kill Christians and Jews? This is what your prophet did and commanded which is against God and Jesus.

Jesus taught that the one you do the works of you are a son of. The works of Satan is to lie, kill, steal etc.

Revelation 20:4  And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

[Hebrews 1:1]6 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.5 For to which of the angels did He ever say: “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You”? And again: “I will be to Him a Father, And He shall be to Me a Son”? 6 But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: “Let all the angels of God worship Him.”

Interfaith Harmony between Islam and Other Religions?

can-islam-be-peaceful

John R. Houk

© February 6, 2017

My Brother in Christ Shamim Mahmood was involved in the Pakistan version of the World Interfaith Harmony Week is a feel-good annual global event instituted by the United Nations in 2011:

World Interfaith Harmony Week is an annual event to be observed during the first week of February starting in 2011.

World Interfaith Harmony Week was proclaimed by the General Assembly in resolution A/RES/65/5 adopted on 20 October 2010. In the resolution, the General Assembly, points out that mutual understanding and interreligious dialogue constitute important dimensions of a culture of peace and establishes World Interfaith Harmony Week as a way to promote harmony between all people regardless of their faith.

Recognizing the imperative need for dialogue among different faiths and religions to enhance mutual understanding, harmony and cooperation among people, the General Assembly encourages all States to support during that week the spread of the message of interfaith harmony and goodwill in the world’s churches, mosques, synagogues, temples and other places of worship, on a voluntary basis and according to their own religious traditions or convictions. (World Interfaith Harmony Week; United Nations)

It is my opinion most of the world’s religions can have a cooperative dialogue; however once one or more religions become upset with one or more other religions proselytizing among adherents, then I suspect the cooperation will come to a screaming halt. And yet if competition halts cooperation, most religions are tolerant enough in their belief systems to not erupt into riotous violence in these modern days of the 21st century – THAT IS except one religion in particular. ISLAM!

Let’s look at the significant religious tenets of some major religions in relation to dealing with hostile people against a particular faith.

Buddhism

Much like Christianity Buddhism has various sects that I am not going to examine. There is a central belief among all Buddhists on violence even there is doctrinal disagreement on other issues.

The Buddhist tradition is most clearly associated with non-violence and the principle of ahimsa (“no harm”). By eliminating their attachments to material things, Buddhists try to combat covetousness, which in itself has the potential to become a source of anger and violence against others. …  Some Buddhist texts do sanction taking human lives in exceptional cases to protect the sangha or defend the innocent. However, most Theravada and Mahayana Buddhists today reject even these exceptional justifications of killing. … (Buddhism on Peace and Violence; Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World AffairsGeorgetown University)

More thoughts on contemporary Buddhism in regard to violence: Buddhism: Peaceful or Violent Religion? By ALAN PETO; AlanPeto.com; 6/23/13)

Hinduism

The subject of violence has engaged the best minds in India’s religious history. Although Mohandas K. Gandhi has made non-violence synonymous with Hinduism, the tradition has long recognized legitimacy of violence under some circumstances. The dominant, pragmatic approach has endorsed violence when necessary to protect one’s state or people from external or internal attacks. A divergent tradition, insisting on the complete renunciation of violence, was ascendant during the period of the Upanishads. It asserted that violent action must, by the law of karma, produce a violent reaction, and that any action that promotes the interest of one at the expense of another individual is rooted in spiritual delusion that obscures the single spiritual reality—Brahman. The conflict between these competing approaches to force constitutes the heart of the Bhagavad Gita, a dialogue between the god Krishna and the mighty warrior Arjuna, who refused to fight in a righteous cause. Krishna explains that violence is not only necessary for the defense of justice, but that such violence need not conflict with spiritual life. The contradiction between the two values is resolved by disciplined action (action without regard for its fruit), insightful action (recognizing the true nature of the self), and complete devotion to Krishna. (Hinduism on Peace and Violence; Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World AffairsGeorgetown University)

Most Americans think of Hinduism as a non-violent faith. Compared to Islam it is true but compared to the central tenets of Christianity (not often observed by history’s Christian rulers), Hinduism can have a violent side. Read these cherrypicked excerpts from the essay entitled “The Co-Existence of Violence and Non-Violence in Hinduism”:

The most famous Hindu of all times, Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948) is widely perceived, especially in the West, as embodying the Hindu worldview and ethos. Gandhi made ahimsa (non-violence) the cornerstone of his philosophy and practice and spoke of it as constituting the essence of Hinduism. …

n recent years, several Hindu organizations have become aggressive and militant in rhetoric and method, reminding us that while Gandhi championed the ethic of ahimsa, there are ancient traditions within Hinduism which sanction violence under certain circumstances and that ahuimsa and himsa (violence) have coexisted uneasily in Hinduism for centuries. The relationship between violence and non-violence is a complex one and Gandhi’s representation of Hinduism must be properly contextualized.

Vedic society in ancient India did not scrupulously adhere to ahimsa as its highest value. Sacrificial rites involved the slaying of animals and Indra, one of most popular deities of the Vedic period has many warrior-like attributes. While Manu (ca.200 B.C.E.-100 C.E.), ancient India’s influential lawgiver, lists ahimsa among the general human virtues, the ksatriyas are exempt. He permits killing in self-defence and for implementing the injunctions of the Vedas. Two of the most popular epics in the Hindu tradition, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata culminate in lengthy and violent battles.

… We see quite clearly from the Bhagavadgita that while the tradition upholds the ultimacy of non-violence, exceptions are made for the use of violence. The Mahabharata war is referred to, in the Bhagavadgita, as a dharma yuddha. A dharma yuddha is a war fought in defence of justice and righteousness and for the security and well being of the community (lokasamgraha). …

The final characteristic of a dharma yuddha that I want to mention is that violence is justified as a last resort and only after peaceful methods of conflict resolution are exhausted. …

It is clear, therefore, that there are influential traditions within Hinduism which justify the use of violence under certain circumstances and which understand the use of violence to be consistent with the Hindu world-view. While it is true that ancient texts, such as the Upanisads, refer frequently to ahimsa, these texts were traditionally meant for seekers of liberation (moksa) who had entered the last of the four stages of life (samnyasa). Such persons were ritually freed from social and familial obligations and dedicated to the quest for liberation. READ ENTIRETY (The Co-Existence of Violence and Non-Violence in Hinduism; By Anantanand Rambachan; World Council of Churches)

Christianity

The practice of Christianity as embraced by varying nations that would define themselves as Christian have not followed the tenets set down during the earthly walk of Jesus Christ and the Christ’s amplifications as placed into words by direct followers of Jesus Christ. Many atrocities have occurred in history by Christian rulers in the name of Christianity that I am certain the Lord Jesus would have rebuked them:

51 Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him [i.e. Jesus] to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem, 52 and sent messengers before His face. And as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him. 53 But they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Jerusalem. 54 And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?”[a]

55 But He [i.e. Jesus] turned and rebuked them,[b] and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. 56 For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.[c] And they went to another village. (Bold text Editor’s – Luke 9: 51-56 NKJV)

Insulting Jesus was not lead to riotous violence. The Beatitudes sums up how Christians should act on a personal level:

“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
For they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful,
For they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
For they shall be called sons of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven
. (Matthew 5: 3-10 NKJV)

The Lord Jesus Christ continues with the Sermon on the Mount (excerpted for the point):

11 “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.

21 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder,[a] and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ 22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause[b] shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire. 23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. 25 Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,[b] 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. (Matthew 5: 11, 21-25, 43-45 NKJV)

The New Testament is full of the sentiment of DO NO HARM. As an individual, this is a journey to ever closed to the paradigm of Jesus Christ. Don’t abandon the paradigm because of other’s actions, rather stay on your journey. If you slip into a ditch. GET UP! And crawl out of the ditch to get back onto the journey of the Christ paradigm.

Christians are to defend themselves though. The defense should not be acted out of hate or revenge. Rather the defense is to protect the community. Protection does not mean pillaging and raping. It means protection.

Islam

In full disclosure and if you haven’t figured it out, I am a Christian. I am definitely not a perfect Christian and yet I am devoted to Truth as presented in the Word of God, especially in the New Testament. One standard of trust in of whose I am is John 14:6:

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (Bold Text Editor’s NKJV)

I have to guess all religions believe they hold the keys of Truth. I don’t have a problem with that until anyone representing a different faith or secular ideology tries to force me to think divergently from the Truth I trust. One such religion targeting the belief system of Christianity are the writings revered by Muslims in the Islam way.

Christian Truth: Jesus Christ is the Son of God:

Matthew 16:13-17

13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”

14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. (Bold Text Editor’s NKJV)

John 5:17-23

17 But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.”

18 Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God. 19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. 20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. 21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. 22 For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, 23 that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. (Bold Text Editor’s NKJV)

Quran 19: 88-95

88. And they say, “The Most Merciful has taken [for Himself] a son.”

89. You have done an atrocious thing.

90. The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits open and the mountains collapse in devastation

91. That they attribute to the Most Merciful a son.

92. And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son.

93. There is no one in the heavens and earth but that he comes to the Most Merciful as a servant.

94. He has enumerated them and counted them a [full] counting.

95. And all of them are coming to Him on the Day of Resurrection alone. (SAHIH INTERNATIONAL)

This Quranic section is a mere tip of the iceberg in the anti-Christian writings inherent in Islam. And I am not even going into the anti-Jewish sections and the violence that ordered upon Christians, Jews and all non-Muslims who do not bow in submission to Islam’s moon god allah and its pseudo-prophet Muhammad.

A website that provides a brief of more anti-Christian surahs can be located here: “Does Jesus ever claim to be God, or the son of God?

Keep this in mind my fellow believers in Christ Jesus the Son of God, Lord and Savior:

1 John 2: 18-19, 22-23; 4: 13-15; 5: 19-20

2:

18 Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the[a] Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.

22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

4:

13 By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

5:

19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.

20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. (NKJV)

My above thoughts are a demonstration of skepticism that the government of the Islamic Republic is serious about ending Islamic Supremacism in the Pakistan Constitution. If Pakistan amends their Constitution to deliver the same Religious Freedom – including the Free Speech to share a non-Muslim faith without fear of retribution – that Sunni Islam enjoys, then I will be less skeptical.

At any rate, below is Shamim Mahmood’s participation and hope of the success of interfaith harmony between religious faiths in Pakistan.

Power of interfaith transforms fear, anger & hatred into positive human relationship: Diplomats

Islamabad, February 04: Diplomats based in the federal capital have highlighted the fact that prevailing world security situation has necessitated need of interfaith harmony to convert the world into a better living place. It is high time for power of interfaith to work effectively to transform fear, anger and hatred into positive human relationship”.

Addressing a seminar titled “World Interfaith Harmony Week 2017” organized under the banner of “Parliament of the World’s Religions” [Blog Editor: The Parliament is an international organization. My antivirus software flags its website as a yellow risk. Wikipedia has a good history.] the Ambassador of Poland H.E Piotr Opalinski said that every person reserved the very right to manifest his religion or belief either individually or in community, with others and in public or private in worship, observance, he-mr-piotr-a-opalinski-polish-amb-to-pakistan-2practice and teaching without fear of intimidation, discrimination, violence or attack.

Piotr Opalinski reiterated that freedom of religion or belief was fundamental right of every human being.

H.E Ms. Marshal Anne, deputy head of European Delegation said that in the line with universal and EU human rights are committed to respecting, protecting and promoting freedom of religion or belief within their borders.

While speaking at the occasion H.E Joao Paulo Sabido Costa, Charge d’Affaires of h-e-joao-paulo-sabido-costa-portugalPortugal proclaimed that States have a duty to protect all persons within their jurisdiction from direct and indirect discrimination on grounds of religion o belief, whatever the reason advanced for such discrimination.

Ambassador of “Parliament of the World’s Religion” Mr. Shamim said that limitations to this freedom have to be strictly interpreted. He said that minorities have been increasingly targeted in hate in the country. Faiths do not bind in limits but allows social harmony and mutual tolerance for a better and progressive society. It is need of the day to enhance mutual understanding, harmony and cooperation among people from all faiths, he added.

Reference to the General Assembly resolution adopted on 20th October, 2010, the Parliament of the World’s Religions has organized “World Interfaith Harmony Week” to promote mutual understanding and inter-religious dialogue to establish interfaith harmony.

Members of civil society, religious leadership, media personal and diplomats have attended the event.

Be Blessed,

Christmas Train Travelling from Khayber to Karachi

Shamim has an off and on perception of Islamic largesse in Pakistan. When terrorism strikes, he notes the hypocrisy of a Constitution that stipulates equal rights for all Pakistani citizens regardless of religious faith. A Constitution that also stipulates Pakistan is an Islamic Republic. A Pakistan that follows Sharia Law and enforces Blasphemy Laws that literally can lead to awaiting a death sentence in jail unless an observant Muslim mob kills the accused violator of the Muslim Blasphemy Law first.

During this Christmas season in Pakistan a combine Christian/Muslim effort has put together a Christmas Train that travels through various Pakistani cities ending at Karachi on New Years’ Eve. The object of the Christmas Peace Train is to promote harmony between the Sunni Islamic majority and the multiple religious minorities which in Shamim’s case include Christians. Apparently collective of dignitaries are providing peace speeches along the trip.
