Unwitting Embrace of Leftist Utopianism due to Jew-Hatred

I find it quite disturbing and extremely sad that there exists people in America who claim patriotism yet express racist statements indicating Jew-Hatred and Anti-Israel sentiments.

These so-called Patriots will lump all Jews monolithically as something repugnant because people of Jewish heritage have been or (startlingly) currently are supportive of Left-Wing ideology too often to the point of Marxist-Leninist-Maoist Communism.

In case you didn’t realize it, lumping Communist-oriented Jews are representative of all Judaism is like lumping all Americans with Communism because many people of a Western Civilization heritage (yet non-Jewish) embraced atheistic Communism. Western Christians such as Friedrich Engels and Vladimir Lenin (born as Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov) abandoned their faith and heritage to embrace a violent-revolution concept like Communism.

Sure, people of a Jewish heritage devoted themselves to Communism, for the most part these Communist devotees abandoned their faith and heritage in the same fashion as the Communists who abandoned their Christian heritage. The attributed inventor of modern Communism in Karl Marx is an example. Another example of abandoning his heritage to embrace Communism is Mao Zedong (aka Mao Tse-tung).

For people looking for a form of Leftist Utopianism, Communism is the antidote regardless of heritage and religion. Ultimately the Communist antidote seeks to transform society enforced by a government even if it means massive murders for society to forget their past heritage.

Those Americans calling themselves Patriots yet hate Jews are unwittingly aligning themselves with Leftist Utopianism which would lead to Communism. To be clear, Communism eradicates Liberty and Freedom as the Leftist ideology seeks to make people the Natural Rights endowed by Nature’s God.

This brings me to the Pro-Israel organization that non-Jewish Leftists; self-loathing Leftist Jews and Muslim Apologists love to hate – the Canary Mission. I have posted twice on the Canary Mission HERE and HERE. If you are a Jew-Hater that erroneously describes oneself as a Patriot, I pray the Canary Mission exposes your racism.

Canary Mission screen capture

Jews have had a long history of engaging in wars with enemies who fight by rules that Jews find abhorrent. Rather than fight by those rules, Jews have held themselves to more humane standards. While this is morally admirable, it’s not always martially effective.

On his way to establishing control over the Arabian Peninsula, Mohammed’s armies fought and conquered the Jewish tribes that had lived there for centuries. Jews of the Nadir tribe, living around Medina, wouldn’t fight on the Sabbath. Even during wartime, due to a biblical injunction, they refused to cut down their enemy’s fruit trees. Mohammed had no such qualms. He had his soldiers cut down the Nadir’s date palms on which they depended for food and for trade. And he did it on the Sabbath. The Nadir surrendered and were exiled.

Israel has been battling the terrorists of Hamas ever since abandoning Gaza in a futile attempt at peaceful coexistence. The IDF is the most moral army in the world and fights as hard at avoiding civilian casualties as they do at fighting against Hamas. Hamas works hard at creating civilian casualties, its favorites being Gazan children that their media allies can blame Israel for. And so this war drags on.

On university campuses throughout North America, Israel and Jewish students are vilified and harassed by BDS supporters including Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and their allies. Campus Jews think this is an ideological disagreement. Jewish students don’t understand that BDS and SJP are fighting a war, and so they continue the custom of fighting by different rules. Jewish students see BDS and SJP as organizations that they can debate in order to sway the larger student population.

Meanwhile, BDS proponents, in this endless war against the Jews, use every anti-Semitic/anti-Israel lie they can muster. They use theater, public demonstrations, and displays designed to demonize Israel. They crush dissent by protesting and shouting down pro-Israel speakers. They demand free speech rights, but deny them to campus Israel supporters. They feel emboldened enough to tweet messages like, “Hitler should have killed the Jews when he had the chance that dog” and “What do you call a flyin Jew?….. Smoke.”

Jewish students, who because they are at college to get an education, are at a terrible disadvantage facing paid BDS activists, who are on campus to demonize Israel as part of a long-term strategy to bring down the Jewish state and return Jews to their Sharia approved roles as “dhimmis.” While Jewish students have formed grass-root organizations to fight BDS, BDS groups, including SJP, are the American arms of Hamas and are well trained and well funded by Hamas.

The main Hamas to SJP conduit has been American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), a group founded by U of C Berkeley professor, Hatem Bazian. AMP’s board membership includes various anti-Israel activists, terror supporters, and former members of the Holy Land Foundation, an organization that was shut down in 2009 after a lengthy FBI terrorism investigation and federal trial.

In addition, Omar Barghouti, founder of the BDS movement, who was denied entry into the U.S. in April 2019, has extensive terrorist connections. A group he co-founded, the Palestinian Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions National Committee (BNC) receives support from a who’s who of terrorist organizations that not only includes Hamas, but also: Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Palestine Liberation, Front, Palestinians Islamic Jihad, and many others.

Barghouti’s father, Marwan Barghouti, along with Yassir Arafat, was a founder of the PLO, which Omar Barghouti states, “was very much a part of our family . . .” The elder Barghouti also ran the terrorist Tanzim force and founded the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. One does not engage in reasoned debate with these people.

Recently, groups like Zionist Organization of America, StandWithUs, and the Lawfare Project, have begun steering more resources into training and supporting beleaguered Israel advocates. These adult organizations have gained experience over the years of struggle and have begun fighting back more aggressively, going so far as bringing lawsuits against some of the most unfriendly-to-Jews universities.

Even with this outside help, Jewish students still refuse to go all out. They still insist on holding back even as they themselves on some campuses are wary of looking too Jewish by wearing a kippah or other noticeably Jewish outerwear, lest they be harassed. Like the IDF, they insist on fighting with one (or more) hand(s) behind their backs.

Three years ago, a new anti-BDS group, calling themselves “Canary Mission,” entered the fray. They take their name from the recognition that Jews are the “canary in the coal mine,” the first to face irrational discrimination when societies enter into periods of increased bigotry and self-destruction. Their motto is, “If you’re racist, the world should know it.” Their members remain anonymous. They work at exposing campus anti-Semites, including students and professors, on the Left and on the Right. And they use the anti-Semites’ own words from their own social media posts to do it. They’ve created an online database full of anti-Semitic and anti-Israel tweets and Facebook rants, and dedicated pages listing personal and organizational ties to Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood and other terrorist groups.

The Middle East Studies Association, an organization that backed a University of Michigan professor in his refusal to write a recommendation for a Jewish student to study in Israel, has a page on its website dedicated to “exposing” Canary Mission. They claim that Canary Mission’s “profiles are filled with falsehoods, misrepresentations and errors,” but provide no examples. They misrepresent Canary Mission’s “political agenda” and denounce its members as being “extremists.” Without a trace of irony, they accuse Canary Mission of seeking to “silence free and open campus discussion of, and teaching about, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.” Canary Mission is lumped with organizations like CAMERA, Honest Reporting, StandWithUs, and other pro-Israel and media watchdog organizations that MESA falsely associates with a “rise of Islamophobia.”

The Electronic Intifada has posted Steven Salaita’s diatribe, “A guide to surviving Canary Mission,” from which we learn about “Zionist thuggery,” “messianic compulsions of settler-colonization,” and facilitation of “sexist, racist and homophobic abuse.” His advice is, don’t talk to Zionists. Recall that Salaita had a University of Illinois job offer rescinded after some of his vicious anti-Israel tweets came to light.

Mondoweiss calls Canary Mission “a settler-colonial scam, an ethnonationalist slur, and a malicious, well-funded, underground machine set to destroy the lives and careers of real people.” People exposed by Canary Mission are referred to as “Palestinian human rights advocates” who are smeared by Canary Mission, but again, no “real people” examples are offered.

In addition to these long-standing Israel-hating sites, there is now, “Against Canary Mission.” In addition to slamming Canary Mission, this site also houses rehabilitative counter-profiles on people previously profiled by Canary Mission. These profiles are much shorter and contain much less detail. They are much friendlier. There is also an option for “activists” to write their own profile. To be fair, I could not find that option on the Canary Mission website.

The legal director of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee has accused Canary Mission of using “dirty tactics.”

Blowback from groups like the Middle East Studies Association and these other Israel hating websites are predictable. The fact that these sites are so offended by Canary Mission and so eager to slander and discredit it, tells us that Canary Mission is effective and that the campus Israel/Jew haters and terror supporters are afraid of being revealed as the hateful bigots they are.

Unfortunately, Canary Mission is so effective that it is also scaring the Jewish students who have been subjected to the bullying tactics of the people Canary Mission has profiled. And the Jewish students, in their panic at possibly being labeled as “racist” or “Islamophobic,” are siding with their enemies against Canary Mission.

In April and again in October 2016, the David Horowitz Freedom Center, using information provided by Canary Mission, put posters up on the U of C Berkeley campus, showing Students for Justice in Palestine’s links to Hamas. In addition, names were named. The posters were denounced by campus SJP members as “hate speech.” An attorney with Palestine Legal criticized the university “for allegedly creating a hateful environment for SJP.” This is the same campus that employs Professor Hatem Bazian, who has a deservedly long Canary Mission page documenting his founding of AMP and co-creating SJP. This is in addition to Bazian’s fund raising activities for a Hamas-linked charity and his unabashed promotion of anti-Semitism.

Besides being Hatem Bazian’s home campus, U of C Berkeley is also infamous for hosting a course calling for the destruction of Israel. It’s the university where Rachel Beyda was almost denied a student government leadership position because she is Jewish. Even so, the president of the Jewish Student Union condemned the posters, stating, “. . . This does not allow us to have any room for conversation from the pro-Israel or pro-Palestinian side.”

When the posters also appeared at San Francisco State University, which is currently being sued for discriminating against Jewish students, an advisor to the General Union of Palestine Students stated, “This is very racist, it is Islamophobic.” San Francisco’s Hillel executive director condemned the “offensive messages.”

At UC Davis, Aggies for Israel allied themselves with student groups including the Muslim Student Association (another Muslim Brotherhood front group, many of whose leaders graduated to terrorism), to pass a resolution, part of which accuses Canary Mission, again without irony, of creating “a toxic atmosphere of fear and paranoia among fellow students, thus infringing upon students’ ability to freely express their opinions.”

At the University of Michigan, a pro-BDS resolution was recently passed on its eleventh try. Part of the blame was laid at the feet of Canary Mission. BDS proponents, who were savvy enough to play on Jewish students’ insistence on fair play, pulled out their victim card, expressing worry about future repercussions due to Canary Mission’s “blacklist” and “McCarthyite tactics.” In return Jewish student organizations rolled over, submitting to a secret ballot, thereby allowing anti-Israel/anti-Semitic student government officials to escape responsibility for their anti-Israel vote. The Jewish students lost because they allowed BDS to set the rules and control the battle.

Following the vote, two students wrote a letter, which was signed by several universities’ Hillel Governing/Executive Boards and pro-Israel organizations, rejecting Canary Mission. “We view much of the rhetoric employed to villainize these individuals as hateful and, in some case, Islamophobic and racist. In addition, Canary Mission’s wide scope wrongfully equates supporting a BDS resolution with some of the most virulent expressions of anti-Semitism and anti-Israel rhetoric and activity. . . we expect credible Jewish and pro-Israel communal organizations to help us combat anti-Semitism . . . in a diplomatic manner that seeks to protect our community rather than shaming the other side anonymously.”

One would expect SJP members to condemn the coverage of their terrorist ties. When Jewish students and Jewish organizations side with SJP because they want to combat anti-Semitism in a diplomatic manner and not shame the other side’s vile ethnic hatred, it’s clear that the Jewish students do not understand the nature of the enemy or the enormity of this fight.

Sun Tzu said, “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

BDS proponents know their enemy, and they know how easy it is to control Jewish students who are truly interested in fairness and decency, with cries of “racism” and “Islamophobia.” Jewish students, who have grown up in bubbles of comfort, don’t even know that they have an enemy.  The lesson from our Passover Haggadah that: “in each and every generation, they rise up against us to destroy us” hasn’t been taken seriously. Students don’t know enough Jewish history to understand that this is just the latest manifestation of an ancient war against the Jews that began in Europe with the rise of Christianity and in the Middle East with the rise of Islam. They really believe it’s all about Israel, when Israel is just the latest excuse. They don’t understand that they are pulling the wool over their own eyes and doing some of SJP’s (and Hamas’) work for them.

Mohammed said, “War is deceit.” Deceit, implicit in campus “apartheid walls,” die-ins, and mock checkpoints, is the strongest weapon in the Israel-haters arsenal. Their second greatest weapon is Jewish students’ naiveté.

We know there is a double standard when it comes to Jews and Israel. University officials are willing to overlook campus anti-Semitism if it is masked as anti-Zionism. The anti-Semites have worked hard to create a false separation between Judaism and Zionism in order to justify and promote their hatred.

When a group of Wisconsin high school students stupidly posed for a school photo giving a “seig heil” salute, there were calls for their suspension. And, we were told, “. . . the image could have far-reaching consequences for the young men pictured there . . .” Meanwhile, Canary Mission has screenshots of SJP members tweeting things like: “The world would be soooo much better without jews man”, and “Lol let’s stuff some Jews in the oven.”  Shouldn’t these publicly posted sentiments have far-reaching consequences? Not according to Jewish students. But just like Israel’s fight with Hamas, the misguided insistence on fair play insures that this fight will continue long after the current crop of students has graduated. And as long as these students support Israel, they will always be denigrated. They will always be insulted as bigots by real bigots.

Using Canary Mission’s information, Jewish university students can take the offensive in order to hamper BDS efforts. If the BDS movement were a white supremacist or neo-Nazi group, there would be no reservations about using Canary Mission to expose them. This is a double standard Jewish students are imposing on themselves.

It’s not McCarthyite or bigoted if they’re telling the truth. Canary Mission recently posted a video in which SJP members disrupt a UCLA Students Supporting Israel event and threaten the speakers. SJP denied having anything to do with the disruption. But thanks to advances in digital technology, the SJP bullies are highlighted in the video along with screenshots of some of their troubling tweets. McCarthyism? No. This is revealing the truth and exposing SJP as not only bullies, but also as liars. This is fighting back. [Blog Editor’s bold text] It is aggressively taking the fight to the bigots on the public relations field where Jews and Israel have been taking a beating due to their insistence on either engaging in free and fair debate or not fighting back at all. Unlike the campus Israel haters who depend on deception, it is the Jewish pro-Israel students who have the truth on their side.

We know that a juicy, outrageous lie that gets one’s blood boiling is easier to accept than a boring truth, especially if that lie is about Jews or Israel. Exposing the bigoted hatred of the SJP liars and their admiration for Hitler and Nazis, who, they mourn, should have finished the job, would do a lot more for the campus pro-Israel cause than reasoned debate. In that debate, lies carry the same weight as truth to students who don’t know enough about Israel or its history to tell the difference. Anyone though, even a brainwashed university student, can identify as anti-Semitic, a tweet that says, “@BarackObama shut up about gay marriage and go kill all the Jews.” Display enough of these detestable social media posts and expose enough links to terrorism, and the true intentions of the posters would be undeniable, even as they whine about being victims.

That would be a strong first step toward defeating and shutting down the campus Israel/Jew-hating industry.

The DHFC is dedicated to the defense of free societies whose moral, cultural and economic foundations are under attack by enemies both secular and religious, at home and abroad.

The David Horowitz Freedom Center combats the efforts of the radical left and its Islamist allies to destroy American values and disarm this country as it attempts to defend itself in a time of terror.  The leftist offensive is most obvious on our nation’s campuses, where the Freedom Center protects students from indoctrination and intimidation and works to give conservative students a place in the marketplace of ideas from which they are otherwise excluded.  Combining forceful analysis and bold activism, the Freedom Center provides strong insight into today’s most pressing issue on its family of websites and in the activist campaigns it wages on campus, in the news media, and in national politics throughout the year.

David Horowitz began the Center for the Study of Popular Culture in 1988 to establish a conservative presence in Hollywood and show how popular culture had become a political battleground. Over the next 18 years, CSPC attracted 50,000 contributing supporters and established programs such as The Wednesday Morning Club, the Individual Rights Foundation, and Students for Academic Freedom.

FrontPage Magazine, the Center’s online journal of news and political commentary has 1.5 million visitors and over 870,000 unique visitors a month (65 million hits) and is linked to over 2000 other websites.  The magazine’s coverage of and commentary about events has been greatly augmented over the last two years by the presence of four  Shillman Fellows in Journalism underwritten by board member Dr. Robert Shillman. BDS Propagandizing Documentary ‘1948’

John R. Houk

© April 17, 2019

I continue to be amazed on the number of Left-Wing Jews joining pseudo-Palestinians to rail against Israel’s existence by being supportive of the Jew-hatred motivated movement called Boycott, Divest and Sanction (BDS) of all things Israel. I use the preface “pseudo” before the word “Palestinian” because a Palestinian people has never existed prior to Arab nations labeling Arab-Muslim citizens residing in the British Mandate for Palestine to provide a lame excuse to prevent the Jewish people to return and govern themselves to the Land of Jewish heritage.

Surrounding Arab nations used the excuse of protecting Arab Muslims to invade the newly declared (1948) Independent nation of Israel to NOT create a Palestinian State, but rather to absorb conquered land to be divided among the bordering Arab nations.

SURPRISE! The underfunded and under-armed Jewish military actually defeated FIVE invading armies of which some actually had air forces. The Arab League of nations began calling the Arabs that were encouraged by Arab nations to flee to avoid harm Palestinians.

Truth be told there were atrocities committed by both sides in Israel’s war of Independence. But the reality any atrocities committed by Jews against Arabs were exacted in response to Arab atrocities against Jews. AND atrocities blamed on Jews were simply the era’s version of Fake News to use as a propaganda tool against the new Jewish State of Israel.

A BDS sponsored movie called “1948:  Creation and Catastrophe”, was shown in West Hollywood on April 16 that told a story of Israel’s Independence largely from Fake News Pseudo-Palestinian perspective. Left-Wing Jews had a major part in sponsoring the movie that utilizes the largely discredited information from Jewish revisionist historians such as Ilian Pappé and Benny Morris.

What makes this Pseudo-Palestinian Jew-Hatred documentary “1948” a travesty pertaining to its showing in West Hollywood, is the significant Jewish population that was subjected to this hate-propaganda. The documentary did become a bit of a controversy in which the West Hollywood City Council was lobbied to not show the Anti-Israel documentary, but alas Left-thinking Jews and Pseudo-Palestinian activists prevailed as the City Council gave the green light to the showing.

A Panel was put together evidently for a post-screening discussion of the documentary. Unsurprisingly the Panel was constructed of individuals favoring the propaganda as this news release indicates from Israeli-American Civic Action Network (ICAN) shown below. ICAN illustrates the “Zionophobic” nature of the Panel by the refusal of beheaded Daniel Pearl’s father Dr. Judea Pearl refusing to be a Panel participant.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Ca. — April 15, 2019 — Dr. Judea Pearl, president of the Daniel Pearl Foundation, Chancellor’s professor, University of California, Los Angeles, and father of slain journalist Daniel Pearl has declined to appear on a panel set to promote a highly controversial anti-Israel movie shown in the city of West Hollywood, April 16.

As part of its Human Rights Speakers and Film Series, the City of West Hollywood will be showing a movie claiming to be documentary (relying, inter alia, on Holocaust Deniers and anti-Israel “experts”) regarding the establishment of the modern State of Israel in 1948.

The movie producers and promoters are BDS activists playing the role of victims and attempting to dehumanize the people of Israel as a means to delegitimize their state.

The City Council, after listening to more than 60 speakers and reviewing more than 600 written correspondences, decided 3/2 to allow the movie screening claiming freedom of speech trumps historical inaccuracies, agenda-driven propaganda and hateful assault on the identity of many city residents.

Thus, the City of West Hollywood, despite having an anti-BDS resolution and an MOU (memorandum of understanding) with Israel, is sponsoring an anti-Israel propaganda movie.

As an eyewitness to the creation of Israel in 1948 and the genocidal Arab assault on the emerging state, Prof. Pearl was asked whether he would be willing to join the panel set to discuss the movie after the screening. But he declined categorically.

“After examining the composition of the panel, my answer is ‘absolutely not!’ I will not sit on the same panel with promoters of a racist movement called BDS (Boycott, Divest, Sanction Israel) who, posing as historians, attempt to bestow credibility onto an a-historic movie while, at the same time, advocate the destruction of a people’s homeland. I cannot confer moral symmetry onto “scholars”  who commit six and a half million human beings, refugees and descendants of refugees, to eternal statelessness at the hands of genocidal neighbors,” Pearl added.

Prof. Pearl offered to provide a separate eyewitness testimony to residents of West Hollywood and neighboring cities, “and convey to them an accurate personal account of what the foiled Arab genocide of 1948 meant to us, its human targets, and what scars it has left on my generation, survivors of the Arab assault of 1947-1948.”

Pearl said airing the movie in West Hollywood is not a free speech issue. “It is a public deception issue. As a president of an organization dedicated to interfaith dialogue and cross-cultural understanding, I do not question for a moment the right of the producers to air their product in a place of their choice.”

Prof. Pearl said what he does question is the appropriateness of selecting a propaganda film as part of West Hollywood’s Human Rights Speakers Series, “despite its glaring distortions and omissions pointed out by many members of the community, and despite the obvious agenda of the movie promoters to delegitimize Israel’s birth so as to undermine her existence at the present.”

Pearl went on to say that the destruction of Israel is a human-rights issue, for Israel protects the life and dignity of eight million human beings, Jews, Christians, Muslims, Bahai, Druze and numerous other minorities, straight and gay, women and men. “Deniers of those rights need be shunned, not welcome by any city that has written human rights on its banner.”

The City of West Hollywood is the first government entity at any level to sponsor this movie, thus encouraging hostilities against Jews and other supporters of co-existence in the Middle East.

Efforts by a local coalition including the Jewish, Christian, Persian, Russian, Israeli and Gay communities failed to dissuade the City from proceeding with the showing.

Students Supporting Israel is planning a 250-strong demonstration outside the Council Chambers in West Hollywood where the screening is slated to take place.

Posted September 19, 2018

Ari Bussel sent a bit of an editorial nearly a week ago. I just caught up the Bussel piece and offer my apologies for not catching it earlier. I am unsure if my primary email service is actively restricting some emails (which is possible) or if some emails go to spam and get deleted without notice. I found Ari’s article on my secondary email which I do not check as often.

I say all this because the article is awesome and informative for those of us residing in the USA.

In the article you will discover info on a Pro-Israel website – Canary Mission – which purposes to expose anti-Israel perpetrators maligning the Land of the Jews with hate-propaganda.

You will find info on what Ari will only reference as “The entity” which is working as a private organization in close relationship with an Israeli government agency called Israel’s Ministry of Strategic Affairs. The Strategic Affairs’ purpose is to fight Boycott, Divest, Sanctions (BDS) hate movements attacking Israel.

Apparently, the Ministry of Strategic Affairs is contracting with private entities in its anti-BDS efforts to avoid revealing tactics and actions which Israel law holds that government operations be revealed. This is rubbing Israel’s Leftists and pro-Palestinian folks crazy.

After doing a little digging I think Ari’s “The entity” is Kela Shlomo which is translated to us American English speakers as Solomon’s Sling. If my guess is correct, the Times of Israel has some relevant info on the organization.

I am not quite sure where Ari Bussel stands on all these semi-secretive operations. I get the sense Ari admires the work of the Canary Mission but is a bit suspicious of Israel government funding going to private organizations as Kela Shlomo. There is always the chance of the abuse of power where transparency is lacking. But when an existential situation is present, perhaps a little secrecy is a good thing.

Canary Mission

By Ari Bussel

Sent Sep 12, 2018, 10:28 PM

“Nothing is more unnerving to the truly conventional than the unashamed misfit” JK Rowling

The Times of Israel last month published an article by JTA titledPro-Israel donor Adam Milstein denies report that he funds Canary Mission.”

The subtitle to the article readsPreviously un-aired Al Jazeera report names the donor as being behind anonymous site that aims to name and shame anti-Israel activists.”

Philanthropist Adam Milstein clearly has his reasons for wanting to distance himself from Canary Mission.  What was the reason that the article appeared, I do not know, but it does not serve our collective interests.

Adam Milstein

For some reason, the article singles out Milstein of all the local philanthropists and Canary Mission from all other pro-Israel organizations, many of which philanthropist Milstein supports and is proud about doing so.

As one example, Scholars for Peace in the Middle East touts “the work of our friends at the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation who work on strengthening US-Israel ties” as a resource and offers its readers and supporters “to sign up for their mailers and updates.”

One would expect any leading figure in the pro-Israel camp to be aware of Canary Mission work and to applaud it.

Canary Mission

A close friend of mine was a financial supporter of and very involved with Canary Mission from its very founding.  Canary Mission is not a clandestine operation of Israel’s intelligence services.  Rather, it compiles and presents readily available information about Israel’s detractors.

The reporting of Canary Mission from open sources is accurate, verifiable and to the point.  The truth, presented in a concentrated manner, is most potent.  And thus, this disturbs greatly those who like to act in the shadows and conduct their evil, intimidation and terror without any oversight or recourse.

In some ways, two other Jerusalem-based organizations, MEMRI and PMW act similarly, providing a compilation of open-source information to the public at large (the former translating it from Arabic and Farsi, the latter focused on Palestinian media and society).  In all three cases, the reflection in the mirror of those being reported is not much to their liking.  The translation of what they say and the ease of getting to the information stands contrary to the misleading public image they try to maintain in the West.

Israel’s detractors are neither ashamed nor hide what they do.  Quite on the contrary, they are very active and most visible in their fight to damage, vilify and try to eliminate the Jewish state.  They demand the right to spew their hatred while preventing anyone else from the right to express his or her opinion or to safely listen to others expressing their opinions.  They also use our own Western system and institutions to silence and intimidate anyone who does not think their way.

Canary Mission’s website states that it “documents individuals and organizations that promote hatred of the USA, Israel and Jews on North American college campuses.  Canary Mission investigates hatred across the entire political spectrum, including the far right, far left and anti-Israel activists.”

The Simon Wiesenthal Center, the Southern Poverty Law Center [Blog Editor: I have to disagree with Ari on the SPLC. The SPLC groups Christian Biblically moral institutions, Counterjihadists & Pro-Israel organizations (and individuals) that are Conservative in the same categories as Neo-Nazi & White Supremacists. NOT GOOD.] and the Anti-Defamation League  – the three oldest, most established and most respected civil-rights organizations in the USA — do the very same via their individual “fact-finding” departments.

Unlike these leading organizations, Canary Mission who uses a dot org suffix is not clear at all about what it is (apparently it is not a 510(c)(3) organization that provides a tax-write-off for its donors and in return has to have its books fully open to the public).  However, not giving tax-exempt status does not necessarily reduce or damage its credibility, and those who want to support it financially do so with after-tax money.

Canary Mission address, according to a Google search, is Parcels Plus, shipping and mailing service in Florida.  This is not surprising, given the nature of the individuals and entities being “exposed.”  The operators of Canary Mission may feel (and rightly so) threatened for their property, wellbeing, personal safety and lives, and the danger is translated into just caution.

Fighting Canary Mission

Canary Mission is a necessary outfit, crucial at this time and provides added value in the service of Israel.

The article appearing at The Times of Israel may provide a clue as to the success of Canary Mission.

According to the Forward, Israeli border control officers have used information from the site to bar activists from entering the country.  The site does not reveal who funds it or manages its activity.”

So this is what bothers Israel’s enemies.  They are being highlighted in a website, put in one place for the world to see and know.  In some circles that process is called “shaming,” although for Israel’s detractors it is a badge of honor.  Likely they would like nothing more than to take this site down and hurt anyone associated with it.  But they cannot do it easily, since our own system cannot be used against it.  Canary Mission is apparently not subject to rules and regulations of the Internal Revenue Service since it does not claim a non-profit status.  It can, however, be subject to a lawsuit, and these likely will start arriving.

Half a year ago, an outfit calling itself “Palestine Legalreported that Canary Mission Twitter account was suspended (for two days) and called its supporters and “victims of Canary Mission’s harassment to contact Palestine Legal and report any further violations of Twitter’s conduct rules directly to Twitter.”

Palestine Legal helps us understand why Canary Mission poses a threat.  Its content?  No.  Its existence – very much so:  the very audacity of Jews and Israelis not to be led to the slaughter like obedient sheep, the utter refusal to go to the ovens, amazing!

Palestine Legal is using Canary Mission as another tool in fighting Israel.  Let us read the way it describes/defines Canary Mission:  “Defamatory website that blacklists and harasses activists who support Palestinian rights.”

Palestine Legal continues to advise that “the website … now profiles over 1870 students, professors and community activists.  Canary Mission frequently harasses these individuals on Twitter with abusive and hateful messages ….  Blacklisted individuals have reported being questioned by current and prospective employers and schools about their support for Palestinian rights … they have been put on leave, denied bank accounts, received death threats, and been denied entry and Israeli-controlled entry points into Israel/Palestine.”

Palestine Legal is creating a full transposition:  Those who call to boycott, divest and sanction Israel claim to be “blacklisted” and “harassed.”  Those who advocate use of “any means” to bring about Israel’s demise are suddenly blaming the victims for issuing “death threats,” a preferred method by them.  And the constant accusation of “being denied entry into Israel” surfaces verbatim.

Fighting Back

Allow me, detractors of Israel and her devout enemies, to clarify and emphasize:  First, Israel has every right (and fiduciary responsibility) to prevent those who seek her destruction from coming in.  You may not like it, as you got used to free and complete access.  No more.  Israel has awoken, understanding such irresponsible behavior is hurting her.

Second, Israel does not need to rely on foreign or open sources for taking protective and corrective action.  Israel, a sovereign country with one of the best intelligence services and armed forces in the world definitely should not want to rely on a “shadowy-at-best source” unless it checked and verified and cross-checked and re-verified its contents.

Israel’s enemies are hurt and upset that they cannot do exactly as they please, that Israel has woken up and decided to start acting rationally.  And Canary Mission is becoming a visible obstacle.

Allow me to further assure you, Israel’s enemies and detractors:  Even without the existence or presence of Canary Mission, Israel will not revert to its old self of allowing you a free reign of terror.  You will still be questioned and you will still be denied entrance.  These are not unalienable human rights to which you are entitled.  There is an Israel; and she will do what is necessary to defend herself and ensure her continued existence.

Israel’s Ministry of Strategic Affairs

An article that appeared earlier this year in The Forward and later was expanded upon in an Israeli investigative site The Seventh Eye provides the context which will yield a greater understanding.

Israel’s Ministry of Strategic Affairs has created a full entity, like a military division, tasked with fighting BDS.  The entity [Blog Editor: I am guessing “The entity” is referencing Kela Shlomo (which in English translates as Solomon’s Sling)]  is headed by a Brigadier General (res.), and it has tried to exclude its sizeable budgets from the Israeli laws of transparency claiming national security.

It is this attempt that has attracted much attention to it (much like Milstein’s denial of having anything to do with Canary Mission, adding to the frustration of the enemies and to the aura of success and effectiveness of Canary Mission).  Also, the tens of millions of NIS earmarked to be spent fighting BDS have attracted the very keen interest of the very same organizations that failed to stop BDS as it grew and expanded and anyone else who sees a pot of gold and requires/demands access to enjoy the spoils.

It is this Ministry new division that has approached various non-profits in the USA and offered them funding.  Most refused – as it is not allowed under US law.  Most, but not all.

Alas, there are laws in the USA prohibiting exactly such activities.

Are all means sanctified by the objective?  Not in Israel, and definitely not in the IDF, that sacrifices its own soldiers for protecting its ethics code and the sanctity of life.

Israel, the past has taught us, is being held to a much different moral standard than any other nation and people in the world.

Fighting Honorably

The lesson here is likely very simple.  When fighting dirty, do not be surprised if the other side will use some of the same tactics and will follow a page from your own book.  Expect to be exposed; and expect the other side to fight back.

And Israel’s enemies do not like it.

Maybe they should take a lesson from the many pages practiced by the IDF – act honorably, above reproach.  Hide nothing.  Recognize that transparency and truth are amazing remedies.  Fight with conviction and with determination.  Help protect life, liberty and justice; help build and create.

Too Evil to Fail?

Just below is a quote from the Ari Bussel article sent about what the real detractors of ISIS call “Daesh”:

The Palestinian Authority is spouting venom in all directions, firing without notice. It blames the USA for ISIS.

Fear has not frozen the PA. Instead, it has sprung to action in the only manner it knows: it attacks, pleads, lies and cheats. It deceives. It creates a false reality in which it is at the center – the light and the embodiment of innocence – and everyone around is trying to harm it.

It asserts the world must spring into action to protect it. Even Israel, its sworn enemy, must do all it can for the PA, “for Israel’s own sake.”

Let us look at the PA’s twisted logic: Save us, or else Daesh will take over, we will be gone and you will face a fiercer enemy on your borders.

You will shortly comprehend from Ari’s article that even the Muslim terrorists that surround Israel are becoming afraid of Daesh. Those same Muslim terrorists are crying for Israel to protect them from Daesh so that the Muslim terrorists kill all the Jews of Israel and renamed the Land of the Jews as Palestine.

Too Evil to Fail?

The Black Plague

By Ari Bussel

Sent: January 20, 2016 12:19 AM

“Daesh is on our border; they are here with their ideology; and they are looking to find a suitable platform to establish their base. Therefore, we must prevent a collapse here, because the alternative is anarchy, violence and terrorism.” Major General Majid Faraj, head of the Palestinian General Intelligence Service, in an interview with Defense News.

Those who remember the self-made financial crisis of 2008-2009, would also remember that the top banks – Bank of America, Citibank, Chase, Wells Fargo – were to be safeguarded as “too big to fail.”

If these business entities were allowed to topple, we were warned, the world would collapse and systems fail and an end of apocalyptic proportions would descend upon us.

Not really. Quite the contrary—it is healthy in a free marketplace for systems to fail from time to time, and they should not receive immunity just because of their size or market domination.

A few years later, a new crisis has erupted and the world is awash in fear. It is known as the Islamic State, ISIL, ISIS or by its abbreviation in Arabic, Daesh.

The Palestinian Authority and Hamas alike are afraid of Daesh, “dead afraid,” and there is no pun intended. The moderate Jordanian regime likewise feels threatened. Its strong neighbor to the north is fighting for its survival against the forces of Daesh. Even the American President is afraid for some reason of the word “Daesh” and is enraged by it.

Daesh is good, though, for Muslims in the USA. They have found a new bull’s eye to which to direct any criticism. Overnight they became “moderate” and the Islamists who want to establish an Islamic Caliphate and have expanded throughout the Arabian Peninsula and Middle East are just a “perversion” of their “peaceful religion.”

Except, there is not much difference between the ideology of Daesh and that of the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas, Iran and Hezbollah or Saudi Wahhabism so prevalent in the USA. They all strive to establish a global Islamic Caliphate, and their varying degrees of fanaticism only differ in the extent to which atrocities are carried out.

Wahhabism has seemingly adapted to Western living, whereas Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran have mastered duplicity, talking to Western ears in one manner and still behaving as they wish. Whereas Daesh behaves as they believe, in the same manner accepted by all previous cancerous organisms: They behead, burn live people, shoot hundreds at point blank just to make a point, rape and mutilate women and children and sell them for slavery, all done for the world to see and fear.

All these forms of Islam are not perversion, but modern day manifestations and feelings of strength and power. Current-day Islamists grow, multiply, conquer and spread, and the world seems unable to stop them. In a way, they are like a biological system, where Daesh is similar to an Ebola-type disease, Iran a cancer with long latency period, Hamas and Hezbollah more aggressive types of cancer and Wahhabism is similar to AIDS (we have grown accustomed to living with it).

The day has now come when evil is worried about the spread of something even more evil. Even in nature, one knows its exact place in the food chain, and predators are prey to even larger, more vicious predators they cannot ignore if they wish to remain alive.

Not knowing what to do and how to protect itself, each behaves differently. Hamas suddenly becomes a bit more compromising, realizing that Israel is much more bearable than Daesh.

Do all you can for our sake, for then you will be helping yourselves.

We are your peace partners who for the past four months, had to kill 29 of you and wound some 300, only because you left us no choice. The land was thirsty for your blood, because we say you were defiling the Temple Mount and threatening the Al Aqsa Mosque.

You stole our capital and our cities, from Acre to Haifa to Jaffe. Yes, you do not appear on our maps, but you do not really expect to remain here, do you? Go back to Europe, from where you came. You have no claim or connection to this land.

Millions of us are waiting in refugee camps, in Jordan, in Europe and in the USA, to return to their homes. We kept the keys. We are the true owners of the land. It will be ours once again one day very soon.

We see Palestine with no Jews. Oh, any loyal Arab who dares to sell his land to the Jews is a traitor. He must pay the price and be made an example for all to see and fear. The Jews have already stolen all that was ours, and they still want more!

Boycott Israel! Divest from Israel! Sanction Israel! The Zionist dream is nothing short of Colonialism, Imperialism and Apartheid all combined. It is the most evil and dangerous experiment the world has ever seen.

Why are you silent? Why do you not help us? You must maintain the flow of money. You must pressure Israel even more.

Those Settlements must be dismantled and removed. They are the true obstacles to peace. The Settlers are the worst embodiment of evil on earth. Even the Israelis who live in Tel Aviv admit this is the case and would not go beyond the Green Line, buy wines from Occupied West Bank or extend services to the wild west there in Satan’s land.

The world must come to our rescue! You must protect us, for Daesh is at our borders and our power is limited by those Israelis.

We must receive more weapons, ammunition and money. We must be strengthened, or else Daesh is here and might topple us down!

The PA seems to think it is too important to fail, and I humbly submit it is too evil and must fail. [Blog Editor: Bold Print Mine] Only then the world might wake up to the realization it has wasted the past few decades fighting the body Israel instead of strengthening it, for if Israel dies, the world will die next without a vaccine.

You see, in the laboratory of the Middle East, Israel is the guinea pig. If no inoculation becomes available against the fanatical Islamists (PA, Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran), Israel will die and the world will be next. It has already been infected and is has weakened tremendously.

Thus, the fate of humanity as we know it and of the free world rests in this laboratory. Is Israel the canary in the Middle-Eastern coalmine, or will she manufacture the necessary antidotes?

History has taught us that for millennia the Jewish people managed to survive. The Black Plague is once again threatening the world, and those in the Middle East have felt the threat and are shaking with fear. Without Israel, the world is doomed. Without the PA, Israel may still survive to save the world.

Yair Lapid and BDS Movement

Yair Lapid

John R. Houk

© December 16, 2015

Yair Lapid is the head of Israel’s political party Yesh Atid. Yesh Atid portrays itself as a centrist party which I’m guessing in Israeli terms means it adopts snippets from both Israel’s Left and Right that are closer to the center rather than the furthest outskirts of each side’s political spectrum.

In America I am a staunch Conservative Christian Right Israel supporting kind of guy. Thus I don’t really have a right to voice my opinion in which Israeli voters must essentially choose for the survival of the heritage of Jews and the Israel. On a political level I fell in love with Benjamin Netanyahu for taking a stand against President Barack Hussein Obama and his cadre of Left Wing Democrats by accepting the GOP invitation to address Congress.

Yair Lapid criticizes Netanyahu for this choice of alienating Obama. Indeed Lapid is bugged by a lot of Netanyahu’s Israeli policies that implies Netanyahu’s acceptance of a Two-State Solution but with the Palestine Authority recognizing Israel as a Jewish State as a non-starter with the Arabs that call themselves Palestinians.

My understanding Lapid essentially believes Israel should – putting it in the American vernacular – screw forcing Palestinians to accept Israel as a Jewish State. Rather Lapid believes Israel should make a concerted effort to normalize relations with Arab nations that at least nominally have the same National Interests as Israel; viz., the Saudi hatred of Shi’ite Iran, the Jordanian discord with ISIS (they would call the Islamic terrorists Daesh) and Egypt’s internal battle with the Muslim Brotherhood which Hamas is a spin-off. Those are just examples from the top of my head. There are probably more geopolitical areas Israel could focus in the Arab world to normalize relations. Lapid believes normalizing with the Arab world would then force the corrupt leaders of the Palestine Authority to accept a Two-State Solution to at least exist as a nation state and still be able to hate Jews.

The irony of Lapid’s current thoughts on a Palestinian State is that Israel needs to build a bigger wall so-to-speak and give Israeli Arabs a choice of accepting the Israel rule of law or be welcomed to leave. The part I am uncertain about is Lapid’s intentions of the Jewish settlements that have made communities in Judea-Samaria on the basis the land is a part of Jewish heritage. Does Lapid intend a forced evacuation of Jews as Sharon’s Israeli government did to Jewish communities in Gaza? Or does he advocate annexing the land the Jewish communities in Judea-Samaria already possess as part of Israel proper?

On a Biblical Christian Zionist level I do not like any Two-State Solution. The Biblical land of Israel is the Jewish heritage not the heritage of Muslim conquerors who came into existence roughly after 630 AD. There has been a Jewish presence in the land of milk and honey due to God Almighty’s Promise made to Abraham. History paints a story of the land possession promised to the Hebrew tribes beginning circa 1300 BC. There were no Arab people or nations in the land of Jewish heritage until Muslim conquest in the about 638 AD. Even though the majority of people in the Roman designated land of Palestina (English – Palestine) were Christians, there still was a remnant Jewish population even after Roman expulsion between 70 AD and 135 AD (See Also HERE and HERE).

The Islamization of Palestine occurred as a result of the Islamic conquest in 640. It was a long process that included immigration of Muslim Arabs, as well as other Muslims, from other regions, as well as conversion to Islam by some of the indigenous Christian, Samaritan and Jewish population of the area. Islam did not become the majority religion of Palestine until at least the 9th century and possibly even as late as the Mamluk era (1250–1516).[citation needed] This occurred simultaneously with acculturation of the locals into Arab identity and the establishment of Arabic as the lingua franca, which eventually became their sole vernacular.[2] (Islamization of Palestine; Wikipedia; this page was last modified on 6 November 2015, at 17:19.)

Islam is no multicultural friend of Jews or Christians. Islam demands unconditional submission or conversion. These Arabs that call themselves Palestinians following the doctrine of Mohammed will destroy Israel is given the chance.

Whether Netanyahu accepting a conditional Two-State Solution based on the acceptance of a Jewish State or a Lapid agenda of a Two-State Solution with complete separation between Israel and Arabs called Palestinians via fostering Arab nation friendship, is irrelevant. At least both Netanyahu and Lapid recognize who their enemy is.

Another enemy of Israel are idiotic Westerners that have bought into the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) Movement against an Israel that has nothing but reclaim the land of their heritage. Israel calls the land Judea-Samaria. Appeasing Westerners call the land the West Bank – the name given by a 1948 occupying Jordanian army called the Arab Legion under the leadership of British Officers. Then there are the outright Israel-haters who call Judea-Samaria occupied territories by Israel’s military.

The BDS Movement is the height of Jew-hatred disguised as an agenda to liberate those poor Palestinians under Israeli despotism. OF COURSE that is a load of Muslim-Palestinian propaganda.

The post below was posted on the Facebook Community called Stop the JNF SA – Exposed and it is by Yair Lapid. It explains the truth that counters BDS lies. Incidentally “JNF SA” stands for Jewish National Fund South Africa. The Facebook community is dedicating to exposing the anti-JNF organization called “Stop the JNF SA.” The Stop the JNF SA organization is actually a Palestinian front organization dedicated to using propaganda to undermine the Jewish State of Israel. The “Stop” organization accuses the JNF of racism and ethnic cleansing of Arabs calling themselves Palestinian. It’s a load of propaganda crap. The Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) exposes the “Stop” organization as really a bunch of Jew-hater Green Agenda coalition of Muslims of Leftist Jews that are against Israel.

HOW TO FIGHT THE BDS LIES

By: The Yesh Atid party

INTRODUCTION BY MK YAIR LAPID

The State of Israel needs you. We are at war.

The BDS movement (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) spreads an unbelievable amount of lies about us, fabricated pictures and fictional witness accounts. The goal is to smear Israel’s name in the world, to isolate us, to turn us into a hated and illegitimate state.

We cannot abandon this field.

Not everyone is an anti-Semite, not everyone is against us; we just need to explain our side of the story.

If we manage this struggle with determination and wisdom, we can win. But we all need to mobilize.

We are Israelis. And when our house is under attack, we stand ready to defend it. It’s in our genes. There is no right or left in this. When facing the outside world, we are united.

You are preparing to travel abroad.

We have prepared a small booklet for you. For every lie that is being spread, we have written the truth. We haven’t invented a thing, all the information is based on facts. With this booklet, you will be able to respond to every claim and push back against the incitement.

In this war – we are all emissaries – Shlichim.

Travel safely, come home safely.

________________________________________________
BDS PROPAGANDA: Members of BDS are human rights and peace activists
OUR TRUTH: BDS is an anti-Semitic movement, founded by global Jihadi organizations. Its activity has been recognized as an anti-Semitic hate crime in France and the United States. Those standing behind BDS have discreet connections with Hamas, whose charter calls for the annihilation of the Jews no less than 12 times.
Despite the attempt to portray the movement as non-violent, the BDS movement has never condemned violence directed against Israelis or Jews.

BDS PROPAGANDA: The occupation is the root cause of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict
OUR TRUTH: The conflict and Palestinian acts of terror against Jews in Israel started a long time before Israel took control of the territories. Already in the 1940’s, the Palestinian leadership cooperated with the Nazis against the Jews and acts of terror against Israel started long before the territories were conquered in 1967.
If the territories were the problem, how do they explain the fact that in 2005 Israel pulled out of the Gaza Strip to the last meter, and since that time, some 20,000 rockets have rained down upon the Israeli civilian population?

BDS PROPAGANDA: The Jewish People have no rights to a state in the land of Israel
OUR TRUTH: Our historic and national right to the State of Israel is based on a connection going back 3,000 years. This right was recognized by the UN General Assembly on the 29 of November, 1947.
In the world there are 130 countries with a Christian majority, 49 countries with a Muslim majority, three with a Hindu majority and only one Jewish State on a territory that represents 1/800 of the size of the entire Arab world.

BDS PROPAGANDA: Israel doesn’t recognize the rights of the Palestinians to a state and isn’t interested in resolving the conflict
OUR TRUTH: Since the 1930’s the Palestinians have rejected no less than 5 proposals for a territorial compromise. Already in 1947 the Jewish leadership recognized the right of the Arabs to an independent state alongside Israel. The Arab side rejected the proposal and started a war. Twice – in 2000 and 2008 – Israel offered more than 90% of the territory for them to establish a state, and they refused.
In 2005, Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip and left 3,000 greenhouses behind that had been under Jewish ownership. Instead of giving them to the Gazans, Hamas destroyed these greenhouses and invested hundreds of millions of dollars from the aid sent to them from around the world to build tens of terror tunnels and launching sites for missiles that were designed to carry out terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians.

BDS PROPAGANDA: Israel is exploiting the Palestinian economy
OUR TRUTH: The Palestinian economy is in a slowdown due to corruption in the Palestinian Authority. There are numerous examples of this, including a report by the European Union that determined that corruption in the Palestinian economy led to the loss of some 2 billion Euros in aid between 2008 and 2012. One example among many: documents that were leaked by the Palestinian Authority proved that corruption still exists. In the summer of 2015, a document was leaked that proved that Mahmoud Abbas’ advisor asked the foreign minister of Bahrain for 4 million dollars to fund a private housing complex for people in the Palestinian Authority.

BDS PROPAGANDA: Israel is a racist state
OUR TRUTH: The State of Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East and all of its citizens – Jews, Muslims and Christians – enjoy equal rights.
The party that represents Israeli Arabs is the third largest in the Knesset, and is a considerable political force. Israeli law requires a just representation of Israeli Arabs in senior positions in the public sector. Israeli Arabs hold public posts in various government offices, as lawmakers in the Knesset, as officers in the IDF and as judges, including in the Supreme Court.

BDS PROPAGANDA: Israel is an apartheid country with a separation fence
OUR TRUTH: The security fence does not create separation based on ethnicity or religion, rather it is meant only to prevent terrorists from entering Israel. It is an existential need and every country would act the same to protect its citizens, in every sector. Its purpose is only security related.
A year after the fence was built, there was a 30% reduction in the number of terrorist attacks and the number of Israelis killed was reduced by 90%. On the day that Palestinian terror ceases, the fence will come down.

BDS PROPAGANDA: The movement aims to establish a Palestinian state alongside that of the State of Israel
OUR TRUTH: The BDS movement doesn’t recognize the right of the State of Israel to exist.
The boycott movement talks about one state between the Jordan and the Sea – a code name for the disappearance of all the Jews from Israel and not just from the West Bank.
Omar Barghouti, one of the movement’s founders, said: “The idea of two states was void from the start. The ending of Israeli control in the territories is but the first stage on the road to fulfilling the vision of the dismantling of Israel.” (Barghouti is an Israeli Arab who lives in Acre, who benefits from all that Israel has to offer. The fact that he walks around freely points to the power of the only democracy in the Middle East.)
The BDS movement is not interested in a Palestinian State alongside Israel, rather it negates the very existence of Israel. It hides this from its naïve supporters in the West.

BDS PROPAGANDA: The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the root cause of the problem of terror around the world
OUR TRUTH: Since the establishment of the State of Israel, 67 years ago, 12 million Muslims have already been killed around the Arab world by other Muslims in the framework of religious conflicts that have nothing to do with Israel. The attempt to blame the Jews is a new form of old anti-Semitism in which the Jews are blamed for everything. A solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is desirable, and most Israelis support it, but it won’t solve the Sunni-Shia conflict, it won’t destroy ISIS, it won’t stop Iran from funding terror. The attempt to blame Israel for terror just gives excuses to the terrorists and helps promote terrorism.

HOW TO FIGHT THE BDS LIES

About Stop the JNF SA – Exposed

Founded on November 19, 2012

BDS and “Stop the JNF” claim to be human rights activists. We expose their immorality, racism, lies and blatant Anti-Semitism.

Share this with your friends and get them to like this page. We can bring awareness to more people regarding anti-Zionist organizations in South Africa which are run by Jews and backed by Israel bashers. They are spreading the hatred of Israelis and therefore the hatred of Jews, anti-Semitism. Most, if not all of the anti-Zionist organizations and campaigns out there contain undertones of anti-Semitism but they claim it is purely anti-Zionism. Either way to be anti-Zionist is to be anti-Semitic as Zionism is related to Judaism.

This page is not affiliated with the JNF organization whatsoever and in any form. Any posts on this site are therefore not to be attributed to that organisation unless they post in their official capacity.

Too Little, Too Late

The Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) Movement that operates to condemn Israel for not allowing Arabs who call themselves the mythical Palestinians (who never EXISTED as a national entity let alone existing as an independent nation), is essentially an Antisemitic Movement given a pass because of the propaganda that mythological Palestinians were booted out of their homes by Jews who originated primarily from Europe. The historical facts on Jews living in the Land of Israel are HERE. The Biblical facts that determines that the Holy Land is the Land of the Jews are HERE.

And as Ari Bussel will share a lot of that validity added Antisemitism comes from Left Wing Jews both inside and outside of Israel. This Jewish self-loathing would be like Black Liberation Theology Movement (See Also HERE & HERE) African Americans demanding a Caucasian free independent nation within America with a demand that a more economic astute USA supply the infrastructure while BLT nationalists plant the overthrow and slaughter of non-Black Americans to possess an expanded nation.

Both situations are IDIOTIC!

Too Little, Too Late

The Response to BDS

By Ari Bussel

Sent: 6/3/2015 5:36 PM

Like flowers after the first rain, there are signs Israel is waking up in the face of the strongest resurgence of anti-Semitism in the past eighty years.

In the United States, Jews have been living under the illusion that “it will not happen here.” In fact, if a classroom of high school students were asked if the Holocaust could reoccur today, the answer would be bewilderment. Back in 1981, a movie The Wave was based on a true story, a teacher who set out to show his students how the non-imaginable can become a frightening reality.

We feel secure. We also did not expect attacks on US soil. September 11, 2001, showed us that was a false belief.

While American Jews do not expect a repetition of the Holocaust, today we are on the verge of a volcano about to erupt. It has become acceptable to blame Israel for the world’s faults and hold her to a different standard than any other nation.

It is now the norm to remain quiet, seated and focused when the most abhorrent lies about Israel are uttered in public. Teachers believe Israel is the New Nazis. Students at universities are being brainwashed insane falsehoods like Israelis murder children at will, harvest organs from males and do not even bother to rape Gazan women since they are not viewed as human. (Apparently, modern-day Israelis are much worse than the Nazis, for the Nazis had special accommodations for female sex servitude.)

All is done in broad daylight, with respected professors and politicians, business people and members of the clergy present, often themselves propagating the lies.

And society remains silent.

Apparently, our education fails us. If we remember “First They Came for the …” by Pastor Martin Niemoller and witness the very same thing and standby silently, we have learned nothing, and as students of history know, those who ignore the past are doomed to repeat it.

One may rise to object: “It is quite confusing,” they would say. “Israelis and Jews themselves are at the forefront of the criticism– why blame us?” And that person would be correct.

In fact the same question is raised by both sides; with Israel’s detractors using this line as justification that their quest is just, while Israel’s defenders ask themselves repeatedly, in utter frustration – why should we fight when some of the worse detractors are Israelis or Jews?

Switzerland used this line to reject Israel’s official protest against an exhibition by a NGO “Breaking the Silence.” It replied via official channels that it is an Israeli organization, legitimately recognized in Israel, bringing Israelis to Switzerland to present what they have to present. We will not stop them!

Good for the Swiss! The Canadians would have acted differently, but they are the sole exception. Why is Israel demanding from others what she permits herself?

When Israel decides to fight, she has the tools, resources, knowhow and drive. At the moment, none exists. The new anti-Semitism erupting like a volcano has been ignored for so long, and so many Israelis and Jews have participated in the upcoming avalanche, any attempt to act now is doomed to be “too little, too late.”

In fact, today, those at the helm face fierce internal opposition. We have grown so accustomed to attacking Israel, why stop? Branded as “right wing extremists,” the Government is being confronted with the accusation it is attempting to stifle free speech and the very democracy of which Israel is so proud.

It is interesting that those who were aiding and abating Israel’s detractors here in the USA are starting to feel the pinch. They are at the forefront of “fighting BDS” (the movement to Boycott, Divest and Sanction Israel, a front that legitimizes any false verbal attack against Israel as the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth).

Israel and the other eight or so million Jews who live around the world outside Israel have not yet felt the pervasive, vicious and vindictive force about to be unleashed. When it does, Israel will have no other choice but to absorb the Jews fleeing to her shores and begin fighting back.

In Israel we are taught that victory cannot come from being on the defensive. Apparently, we forgot, or did not properly learn, that vital lesson as well.

Satan’s Ball

Sun-shiny Arab Spring- Kill Jews toon

Satan could not be prouder.” –Ari Bussel

Palestinians speak a lie as if it is a truth.” –John R. Houk

Ari Bussel writes about a Panel Discussion event that was kind of billed as a fair and balanced presentation of Israel and the Arabs that call themselves Palestinians. If you are not aware, you will be astonished to learn there are Left-slanted Jews that are full-in for the creation of a sovereign Palestinian State. You probably won’t be surprised that Leftists are 100% behind the Left-slanted Jews. I personally am astonished at the level of ignorance at some Mainline Denominational Churches that support the creation of a Palestinian State to the point of promoting boycotting, divesting financial investments and sanctioning the State of Israel because the nation’s government is not moving fast enough to establish a Palestinian State. AND it should be shocking to ALL Americans that lies are constantly told as truths by Arabs that call themselves Palestinians. And finally it is completely ludicrous when certain American leaders refuse to admit that anti-Israel sentiment is tantamount to Antisemitism.

Satan’s Ball

By Ari Bussel

Sent: 10/1/2014 5:25 PM

“I have every right to be angry!” so says one of the “Irvine 11” – the Muslims who in February, 2010, disrupted then Israeli ambassador to the US, Michael Oren, at a talk at the University of California, Irvine, and were subsequently arrested.

Almost five years later he sits as part of a panel discussing the role of USA in Israel/Palestine.  He is by far the most militant, and certainly the most frightening.

From right to left, there are two Jews on the panel, a Christian and two Muslims.

The moderator is from a local progressive/liberal radio station, KPFK.  My colleague, with whom I write this series, once applied to this station.  She quickly withdrew her application when she understood she would be expected to restrict her stories to anti-Israel.

Humming in the back of my mind throughout the evening is our own radio program on Christian radio, “Conversations Eye to Eye.”  Perhaps we should do the same outreach as this progressive station, “broadcasting from remote locations with live audience participation.”  Talking to its own chorus of misguided believers and haters, the station has created the impression to their listeners that they are representing a majority opinion, not an outer fringe of lunatics.

Tonight, there are three sane people among almost one hundred Israel haters.  And there is one variety of hatred:  the strongest.

Mistake not, the very presence of Jews does not absolve or allow the perpetrators their doing.  They pay homage to an appearance of civility and claim to be critical of Israel’s policies but not against the Jewish people.  This said they then go on a constant attack that is tantamount to the expression of anti-Semitism in all its venom.

This panel was scheduled for the very last evening of the Jewish year by an organization purporting to be a “Jewish Voice for Peace.”  In truth, it is worse than some of Israel’s sworn enemies.  Being “Jewish” is solely utilized to attack Israel with supposed credibility and impunity, and often quite successfully so.

Do not even try to find a grain of positivity toward Israel.  Her major sin is her very existence. But “we are Jewish, we hate Israel and will do everything to bring her down” is dressed in a gown of “peace” and ornamented with numerous sparkling words:  equality, human rights, respect for international law, self-determination.  I am sure I saw “Justice” somewhere, but it eludes me for now.

Yet even such marvelous jewels cannot hide the evil underneath.  Alas, Satan and his minions compose those in attendance, and the dress is done, indeed, for one’s own benefit and appeasement of the soul.  Let the Ball begin!

None of the major local Jewish organizations heeded the call to participate.  Interesting, since it is exactly these organizations that normally would not miss any opportunity at interfaith dialogue and some publicity.

I glance at each of the panelists from right to left:

First is the Lion of Judea.  I see the thoughtful, believing and honorable Jew.  He made me proud and thankful.  He came prepared, for he only knows the truth and has nothing to hide.  But he was unprepared for what was to take place, a drop of pure water in a bucket full of tar.

Next is the Jew who tries to appease, weak, confused and thus respected by none.  To the Jews he represents the extreme left, while to our enemies he is not to be trusted.

In the middle, a Christian, quick to retort and extremely well spoken in a most dangerous and sneaky way.  Indeed, a “national leader and speaker for faith-based justice advocacy,” there is no doubt she does very well in the art of debate.  But whereas the Christians I know are “People of the Book,” who put virtue on a pedestal, she, like the “Jewish” Voice for Peace uses religion as a means; once utilized can be tossed away.  She talks about action to support one’s faith, but when the action is to bring down Israel, I have neither respect nor tolerance for her.  Nor would Jesus in His time or His faith today.

A Muslim (or a Muslim-sympathizer) who is self-centered and so full of hatred he might explode.  He is on a book tour, and was this week at the Levantine Cultural Center.  Like “Jewish Voice for Peace,” the “Cultural Center” has a single agenda, and Israel cannot be toppled soon enough.  The author, whose book is in the back for sale, works for “US Campaign to End the Occupation.”

And last among the five panelists is the national campus coordinator of “American Muslims for Palestine,” our “I have every right to be angry-and-do-something-about-it” recruiter.  He is unabashed and unafraid.  “Europe has fallen and the US is next,” he declares.  He is angry, and the anger must be appeased.  Like his fellow-panelist from the Christian faith has said, faith without action is dead, and his action is the most frightening of all.

Satan could not be prouder.  There is a very specific agenda, and all roads lead to its fulfillment.  Varying degrees of blindness, but his followers are able and ready.  He stands and rubs his hands with joy, looking at the dream team in front, immensely excited, “oh, what a night!”

Truth tries to find a way in, but the walls are as deep as they are high, wide and impenetrable.  The moderator has read many of the audience’s questions, written on 3×5 cards.  He specifically skipped the following for Angry Taher Herzallah:  “Have you joined, or will you join, the Islamic State (ISIS, ISIL or IS)?”

ISIS, ISIL, or IS.  Anyone familiar with their operations and modus operandi would know that what was permitted on this stage was the perfect recruiting for IS.  It was staged exactly like the beheadings.  Every element carefully calculated and crafted for maximum effect.

The Head Recruiter for tonight’s gathering is neither ashamed nor careless.  He is well grounded and aware nothing can happen to him.  His actions are fully calculated, and he constantly pushes the boundaries, to see how much we would tolerate.

He looks around knowing he has the upper hand, for Americans are weak and afraid to take action.  They fall in their own vomit while he is exercising his most elementary right of free speech.  He fights for his “brothers and sisters” and his true belief.  No harm can come to him.

A fine line separates free speech from hate speech and he is aware.  But he also knows we Americans are too politically correct, and who, among an audience of 100 believers, would stand to protest what is being said?

For him, the only “JUSTICE” is the elimination of Israel, and all roads are permissible to achieve that end.  Similarly, to achieve a global Islamic Caliphate, all methods are acceptable, including but not limited to public beheadings for international consumption, systematic murders of dozens, hundreds, thousands and tens of thousands (of their own faith) and rape and enslavement of women.

Are we naïve or stupid?  How do we allow such public gatherings?  While we have started to take action against IS in Syria and elsewhere, we allow the spread of the very same ideology and methodology right here at home, and the only thing missing is a public announcement:  “There is a sign-up sheet in the back.” Would we have allowed Nazis to march in Washington while we battled Hitler?

As Satan stands and watches, he envisions posters materializing all around, with slogans our current president likes so much to use so often: “Islam is a Peaceful Religion.”  “Worry not from Jihad, it is a misunderstood word.”  “ISIL is not Islamic, nor does it represent the true tenants of Islam.”  “There is no ‘Terrorism’ or ‘Terrorists,’ only ‘Extremism’ and ‘Extremists.’”

The participants are excited, watching their every desire fulfilled.  Finally, someone who understands their plight, misery, misgivings and call for justice.  JUSTICE!  Supported by these miserable Jews and by some Christians.  Worry not:  They will be the first to go when we achieve our goals.  [That is exactly what happened to early supporters during the rise of Communism.

Satan’s Ball, Continued:

I Am Israel

By Ari Bussel

I sat mesmerized.  The event was fantastic beyond even my own imagination.  I recognized a few people, and they recognized me.  I was not there in a press capacity, but actually came because I have been following the actions against my people for many years.  But midway through the evening, one of the organizers whispered in my ear:  “It is good my father is not here.  He reads Hebrew, you know” (referencing my weekly column in Hebrew that has never stood silent in the face of Israel hatred).

BDS

Just a week earlier, I sat at a presentation by a local Israeli philanthropist about the Boycott, Divestment and Sanction Israel movement (“BDS”).  It was an “intellectual salon,” held by a local non-profit that I support.  A theoretical study, much like looking at slides of archeological findings rather than venturing into the field, participating in digs and learning first hand the craft and science.

Neither the philanthropist nor any of those who heard his presentation was among the audience for the discussion of “Peace in Israel/Palestine.”  A missed opportunity, like so many others.

Quite a pity, because if anyone wants to learn about BDS first hand, or preempt what takes place at major churches in the USA or in Corporate America, one should come to the lion’s den and witness the work on the ground, be exposed to the elements, learn to identify the currents and understand the motivation behind the action plan.  How else would one be expected to attempt to control the situation as it dynamically develops into a most successful frenzy against Israel and the Jewish people?

Faith without action is dead, but here there is so much action driven by misguided believers, that the success refuels the faith and the end result seems closer than ever.

“Bring BOYCOTT! To your community or campus” says one of the handouts.  “The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) and the Center for the Study of Political Graphics (CSPG) created the exhibition to educate audiences about economic activism and to inspire people to act on their principles.”  And we are offered an exhibition “available for presentation in school, community and gallery settings without charge.”

We are called to learn about major US BDS campaigns at endtheoccupation.org/bds, bdsmovment.net, and pacbi.org.  Like IS, they understand the strength of disseminating information.  Moreover, they are not limited by a short time horizon.  They know that success does not happen overnight.  They will lose once, twice, thrice, maybe even four, five or six times.  But then the tide will turn and they will start winning.  In the meantime, the poison continues to drip.  Drip, drop, drip, drop, until a critical mass is achieved and a torrent finds its way through.

How and why? Because by then, they will have changed the hearts and minds of the general population.  Lies told often enough become “truth,” to the point reasonable (and reasonably-informed) people become confused.  It seems logical that Israel is the Goliath.  Israel with her military might.  Israel that engages in ethnic cleansing and genocide.

Alas, the Jewish experts on “BDS” were not present.  This is truly a pity, for “expertise” is learned by experience, not solely by assigning someone to create a presentation from the Internet.

None of the organized Israeli or Jewish community was there either.  We must not dismiss what was taking place as an extreme outer fringe of lunatics.  While this may be exactly the case, they are most effective in what they do, and we fail, exactly because we refuse to study what they do; until it is too late. One virus can kill millions.

Tales of the Middle East

Our IS-style, militant Muslim speaker states he recognizes Israel’s existence, but not her “Right” to exist.  This he fights with all his might, and he is quite effective in garnering supporters to the cause.

He tells us of going to what-today-is-known as Beer Sheva (the capital of the Negev, Israel’s southern part).  He asked to see the house where his father once lived, and to which he still holds keys, but the woman who opened the door spat and slammed the door in his face.

I wonder how can it be that Israel has allowed a person like him, a clear and present danger to her very existence, entrance.  Israel, after all, does engage in all unspeakable and disallowed manners prohibited in the USA (like “Profiling”).  Then I remember, stories may not be true to the facts, any connection to reality is purely coincidental and the story of people coming to see their “properties” I know first hand.

My uncle’s wife, who inherited with her twin sister their parents’ house in Israel’s artists’ village Ein Hod, receives many visitors who come to see and buy artwork.  One such group asked her permission to pick up some fruit from a pomegranate tree planted, so they said, by their parents.  They, too, so they claimed, have keys to the house.

My uncle’s wife is not a woman with whom to meddle.  Her deceased parents planted the tree when she was a kid, she said and escorted the uninvited guests out, without permitting them to enjoy the fruits.

I also recalled another story, one told by someone affiliated with AFSC.  Reportedly, the “sister,” “mother,” or otherwise the storyteller herself was detained at an Israeli checkpoint for so many hours that she lost her baby (apparently she was in advanced stages of pregnancy and the wait was bad for her).

Such a story is so far from the truth (as Israel’s enemies routinely are permitted inside Israel for medical treatment, and Israeli doctors – both Jewish and non-Jewish – treat them as they would any human being, with the utmost care, professionalism and concern) that I would normally dismiss it.

In Judaism, bringing a new life to the world is one of the most important happenings, for people are all created in the image of the Almighty, and the sanctity of life is greater than anything else.

Thus, when a woman fails to reach a hospital in time, it does happen that she gives birth on the side of the road, with the person helping the delivery then appearing on the nightly news, alongside the mother and newborn.  However, something fantastically flawed is happening routinely at “Checkpoints.”  The Arab women seem to always be detained on their way to Israeli hospitals … and without fail to lose their babies.

But again, why let facts stand in the way of fiction, especially when the later serves a greater purpose? For some reason people are so quick to believe a negative.

There are so many dead newly born infants, due to the mothers being detained or refused passage at “Checkpoints” (most of which were dismantled long ago) that it has reached the proportions of a plague.  Except this specific plague—alongside several others—are only in the minds and on the lips of Israel’s haters.

We Demand, You Submit

Welcome to the world of AFSC, JVP, MSU, CAIR, MPAC and like-organizations.

Our side is not present.  Mainstream Jewish organizations refuse to participate in this charade.  And “Charade” is exactly what it is:  “an absurd pretense intended to create a pleasant or respectable appearance.”

There was nothing respectable or pleasant during the panel discussion, but the most illuminating point was the preface by the moderator, requesting the audience to respect the speakers and not interrupt, then proceeding without losing a breath to describe Taher Herzallah as one of those who heckled Ambassador Oren.

Heckled was the word used, not mine.  Heckled:  interrupt (a public speaker) with derisive or aggressive comments or abuse.

Permissible to them but prohibited to others.  It is OK to interrupt any Israeli or Jewish speaker, permissible and necessary.  Demand the “right of free speech” but deny it to anyone else.

Absurdity dances at Satan’s Ball.

Any pretense of civility and respect soon departed the hallway.  At first, the Jewish speaker was treated with the title “Mr.” The “Mr.” was quickly dropped, the Jew was belittled (“how low would they—the Jews—stoop”) and eventually he was ignored altogether.

Likewise, the Muslims use the very same recipe time and again.

When one is unable to prevail on the facts, one would attack the other side, and if one is unable to eliminate the other side (America has not fallen yet, and one cannot simply beat up, behead or shoot those with whom he disagrees or those he does not like), then the appropriate course of action is to ignore, as if they do not exist.  (Their day will come, have faith!)

Our Response

What does one do in face of such hatred?  Does one engage?  Participate?  Boycott?  Ignore?  There are various options, and generally we have chosen to stay away, close our eyes and hope that the storm will not gather strength but disappear.

Some major Jewish organizations prefer “to work quietly behind the scenes.”  That, history teaches us, works as much as appeasement or Chamberlain’s “Peace in Our Lifetime!”

Thus joined a new word to our vocabulary (“delegitimization”) alongside “dehumanization” and rose a global movement of BDS, likely the most effective grassroots movement of the 21st Century.

The Jewish panelist (not the apologist) used everything in his arsenal:  tact, respect, history, facts, reason, logic and commonsense.  He even employed love and his own childhood.  He did not get angry (even if inside he likely was close to exploding).  He answered each point and expanded with statistics and explanation for those who actually cared to know.

Attacked

Nothing helped.  There is a “One State (Final) Solution,” and that state will not be a Jewish State.  In fact, it should be free of any Jews, for they are colonialists who stole a land not theirs.  They (the Jews) have no right to exist in this land, to defile it.

There was more:  Peace in Israel/Palestine means that Israel must cease to exist.  She was created in sin, and her poisonous fruits supported by phosphorus bombs and armament by the USA.

And a chorus line heard over and over again:  Israel is engaged in ethnic cleansing and colonialism, and must be stopped.

And a reminder, to those sensitive of heart or ear:  We all crave JUSTICE, and nothing in the world is more urgent and more needed than to bring JUSTICE to the Palestinians whose country was stolen, who were forced out of their homes and who are subjected to continued ethnic cleansing and barbaric atrocities.

“Free Palestine!  From the River to the Sea, Palestine Will Be Free!”

I was so entrenched in the proceedings, that I neglected to pay attention to the following logic:  Israel claims it needs to protect its security, but there are really no longer any threats to Israel.  With Egypt and Jordan she has peace lasting decades, Syria is embroiled with internal problems, as is Iraq.  Lebanon is not a threat to Israel.  It is all propaganda the claim that Israel’s security needs are pressing.

More misinformation is that Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East.  Lebanon is too, with a free press, and other pillars of what may be defined as a “democracy.”  So we are told.

The best was reserved for last:  Israel cares very much for gays.  Jewish gays, that is, because she exposes Arab gays, or threatens to expose them unless they cooperate as a snitch with her Security Services.

The world transposed.  Not an iota of self-or inner-responsibility.  There is nothing wrong with Arab Muslim society hanging young gay men.  [Apparently there is also nothing wrong with Arafat and others sleeping with young males and fulfilling their desires with minors, of both sexes.]  Israel must be at fault.  Somehow, she is always fully responsible.  Much like a battered woman, the beating husband is never at fault.

One by one, any argument is toppled and counter-arguments are erected.  Israel is at fault at everything, and buzzwords are repeated so often, that even I start enjoying the familiarity of repetition.  Israel is Apartheid.  Israel is modern-day Nazism.  Israel the Colonialist, her army Goliath.  Ethnic Cleansing.  So many dead.  Children detained, raped, murdered, all by Israel.

“Free, Free Palestine.  From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free (of Jews)!”

[Clapping.]

Speak against Evil

It is the last evening (and last event) for the year.  Tomorrow night the Jewish people all around the world will celebrate their New Year.  They will once again pray “for next year in Jerusalem.”  They will hope for the Messiah to arrive quickly, in these very days, with him peace will to be ushered in and no more war.

I leave the event, not sure if anyone might dare attack me physically.  After all, I represent everything they hate, for I am Israel.

I look forward my New Year, knowing that very difficult and dangerous days are ahead.

KPFK, Jewish Voice for Peace and United Methodists’ Holy Land Task Force have invited IS into a church near you.  Tonight it was at the Culver-Palms United Methodist Church in Culver City.  Several years ago it was at LAUSD.  Soon it will be at a location near you.

One day we will wake up and realize that Israel’s fight is our fight.  That Hamas, Fatah, Hizbollah and IS are one and the same.  And most importantly, if we do not stand up and do battle, our fates will be one, and probably already determined.

Good people need to speak.  We must take action to protect all that is dear to us:  God.  Country.  Family.  Values.

And the time to start is now.

Peaceniks – Where are You Now?

Gilad Shaar, Naftali Frankel & Eyal Yifrach

Intro to Ari Bussel – ‘Peaceniks – Where are You Now?’

Edited by John R. Houk

June 23, 2014

Three Israeli teens were kidnapped by Hamas from Judea-Samaria. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has the proof. So when Hamas denies it, they are doing what they do best – LIE!

I’m ashamed to say I did not run into Ari Bussel’s email that is a criticism of Israeli Left Wing NGOs of basically enabling the Arabs that call themselves Palestinians to exact such racist Jew-hatred heinous crimes. The kidnapped teens are Naftali Fraenkel, Gil-Ad Shaer and Eyal Yifrah.

I have read reports that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) initiated a vigorous search for the three teens. It is also reported that the Arabs that call themselves Palestinians have resisted in the search to the point of violence (e.g. stoning and Molotov cocktails). If think these Arabs that has gained global Leftist support to steal Jewish land to create a Palestinian State of Jew-haters will help search for the kidnapped victims, you live in a delusion. So, it is no surprise some Arab resisting malcontents have been killed protecting kidnappers. This is where the MSM begins its support of condemning Israel:

The boy, Mohammed Dudin, was taken to the Alia hospital in Hebron, where he was later pronounced dead.

The IDF said villagers had thrown stones and Molotov cocktails at troops on an arrest mission in Dura, and that soldiers had responded with live fire. The army is reportedly looking into the reports of Dudin’s death.

The Palestinian news agency Ma’an reported that another Palestinian man who was shot in clashes with Israeli forces overnight succumbed to his wounds on Friday.

Reacting to the Palestinian deaths, Israeli MK Ahmed Tibi said on Friday that “the Israeli government is exploiting a tragic event and executing ongoing war crimes in the occupied territories.” (Uncle of kidnapped teen: Intelligence indicates they are still alive; By I24 News; 6/21/14 12:50am)

Israeli human rights organisations have called on authorities to refrain from collective punishment of Palestinians as the massive manhunt for the three teenagers allegedly kidnapped by Hamas militant movement drags on.

Rights groups including Amnesty International, B’Tselem, Breaking the Silence and Rabbis for Human Rights wrote to defence minister Moshe Ya’alon and public security minister Yitzhak Aharonovich claiming that the army’s controversial raids in the occupied West Bank “raise serious concerns of unwarranted infringement on basic rights and collective punishment”.

“The large number of raids and arrests over the last week raises concerns that some of these operations are not the result of pressing operational needs. Overall, the measures adopted and their extent do not seem to serve a military need that can justify the damage they have caused,” a statement reads. “These actions have caused, and continue to cause, disproportionate harm to the basic rights of Palestinians, including the right to safety, health, freedom of movement and the right to earn a living.”

Hamas has denied any involvement in the disappearance of the students – Gil-Ad Shaer and US-Israeli national Naftali Fraenkel, both aged 16, and Eyal Yifrah, 19.

Since the trio went missing, Israel has conducted large-scale operations arresting 361 people, searching 1,350 sites and launching a crackdown on Hamas. Israel say their operation is aimed at finding the teenagers and also dealing a blow against Hamas, which now forms part of the unity government led by President Mahmoud Abbas. (Israel Accused of ‘Collective Punishment of Palestinians’ in Kidnapped Teens Search; By Gianluca Mezzofiore; IBT; 6/23/14 12:21BST)

The MSM should be reporting that Israel is taking all the steps necessary to find the kidnapped teenagers in the midst of hostile Arabs that call themselves Palestinians. Instead the MSM is utilizing the storyline of Leftist NGOs and Palestinian pundits which would rip the Jewish heritage from the grasp of Israel sovereignty. This idiotic reporting is what makes Ari Bussel’s June 17 essay still extremely relevant.

Peaceniks – Where are You Now?

By Ari Bussel

Sent: June 17, 2014 11:33 PM

When three Israeli youths were kidnapped, Israel should have stood as one.  A prayer vigil at the Western Wall, the holiest place in the world for Jews, was very well attended.  Religious Jews (primarily “knitted yarmulkes,” Modern Orthodox) and “Settlers” (residents of Judea and Samaria) were present, but mainstream (secular) Israelis were noticeably absent.

The President’s Message

Shimon Peres, Israel’s ninth President, will retire next month after seven years of service.

Peres, a dreamer, is likely one of the most captivating representatives of the Jewish State.  He alone, from the height of his age and a life-long dedication to Israel, is seen as a grandfatherly figure dreaming of peace; a most elusive peace.

Thus Peres stops at nothing, repeatedly stretching the boundaries of the presidency—from a mere ceremonial position to a very politically active and engaged President overstepping the Prime Minister’s authority.

A Nobel Prize winner for his peace efforts, he is most known for the Oslo Accords with Israel’s enemies.  More than two decades have passed, and peace is still a mirage in the scorching hot Middle East.  But Peres does not stop.   Ignoring reality, he pushes onward, refusing to accept defeat.

And defeat it is, by an enemy who never wanted peace and was just pursuing an agenda of weakening the other side, taking what is given, and then demanding more.

Not only a miserable performance, Peres’s actions are a clear dereliction of duty.  By going with the “President of Palestine” to the Vatican to pray with the Pope for peace, he essentially elevated a figment of Arafat’s imagination to reality:  One president recognizing another; Israel’s president acknowledging there is a “Palestine.”

Despite his noble motives and unending devotion, Peres has failed the Jewish People.  His tombstone will read:  Tried repeatedly, naively, and wasted the great heights he had achieved.

I am not surprised, for I remember Peres always behind another great leader.  There are many leaders etched in my memory, including David Ben Gurion, Yigal Alon, Moshe Dayan, Golda Meir, Menachem Begin, Yitzchak Shamir, Arik Sharon and others, but Peres was never, at least not in my mind’s eye growing up, a leader on his own merits.

fatah-facebook-israel-teen-kidnappings- frightening caricature (June 2014)

Fatah-Facebook-Israel-teen-kidnappings- frightening caricature (June 2014)

Three Israeli boys are missing, likely kidnapped by our enemies.  Two are aged 16 and one 19. Within 24 hours after they disappeared on the way home, President Peres called their families, and told them:

“I know that these are difficult days for you.  We are one nation.  We are one family.  And I want you to know that all of Israel is with you during these difficult times.”

The President of Israel continued:

“All the branches of Israel’s security forces are doing everything to bring our dear boys home. You are exhibiting strength of spirit.  I stand with you during this difficult time.  The people of Israel are praying for their safe return.”

So said the President of Israel.

Israel’s Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi called for increased prayers and lighting of Shabbat candles. The Chassidim stood as one in prayer.  Even the main Charedi (ultra-Orthodox) Rabbis called to say a chapter from Psalms. But has secular Israel, one and all, stopped what it was doing to wait for the safe return of the three boys?

Naftali Frankel, Gil-Ad Shaar and Eyal Yifrach are sons of “Settlers” in “Occupied West Bank.” To add injury to insult, they are also religious (“Modern Orthodox”), like the majority of the some three hundred thousand Israeli Jews living in Judea and Samaria.  As such, their fate, as gruesome as it may turn to be, is justified—to the irrational—in some convoluted way.

The Stockholm Syndrome

We have befallen into a trap sweeter than honey, where nothing is rational, logic is absent, light becomes darkness and goodness is changed to evil.  In short, we find excuses to blame ourselves for whatever the enemy does.

Prof. Alan Dershowitz does not recognize any terror attacks against Jews living outside the 1967 borders in Israel.  These simply are never included in his statistics.

Many Israelis boycott any product from “Occupied West Bank.”  In Tel Aviv, many will not drink wines from vineyards in that region, and mainstream artists will not travel to cities such as Ariel and its cultural center to perform.

Apparently, the BDS movement is alive and kicking within Israel proper, perpetrated by Israelis.

For many American Jews, if all Israelis returned to the pre-1967 borders (and United and Unified Jerusalem were to be divided), Chamberlain’s vision of “Peace in Our Lifetime” could be achieved.

These American Jews, representing the majority of non-Orthodox Jews in the United States, are as fervent with their cravings as Chamberlain in his historic 1938 pronouncement.

Thus, who really cares about the safe and immediate return of the three kidnapped Israeli youths, possibly the “pro-Israel, pro-Peace” coalition in the USA?

This coalition includes members of the J Street lobby, Americans for Peace Now (APN), Merez, Amenu, New Israel Fund and several other left-of-center organizations.

They are usually the quickest to react when there is a sliver of chance to attack Israel.  For them, everything Israel does is wrong, detrimental to the peace efforts and to Israel’s well being.  They alone know what is good for Israel, and they are actively pursuing the current US Administration (which is not sympathetic to Israel at all) to pressure Israel for more and more concessions.

I was waiting for my friends at APN to send an urgent dispatch, but realizing that words are cheap and plentiful, I expect instead some action from them.

Alas, the operation by the Arab-Islamists Heroes was just before the weekend, and as it is summertime, nothing is urgent.  Hopefully the three boys will be returned safety (all Israel need do is free thousands of murderers and terrorists and make numerous painful concessions).

A Guided Tour by Peace Now

Some six years ago Hagit Ofran, Settlement Watch Director for Peace Now in Israel, took me on a day’s tour of Occupied West Bank.

We started in Jerusalem, and spent the rest of the day in one of the most impressive tours of Judea and Samaria that I have seen.  It was Hagit and I, two educated people, well versed in the so-called “Arab-Israeli Conflict.”

Hagit’s skin color is whiter than mine, and she knows the area as I know Beverly Hills.  She travels freely into Arab cities in areas she knows her doing so is breaking Israeli law, and she takes Arabs in her car, likely breaking some other laws and endangering Israelis.

She drives into Israeli-Jewish communities and is not stopped, as she looks “like one of us,” and then takes photos and drafts up reports that immediately circulate universally about another single family home popping up, a balcony added to a condo, another new neighborhood of six houses or some other so-called evildoing by Israel.

One of the more amazing moments was when she stopped to take pictures of a military installation.  I asked my hostess and tour guide, “Is that legal?”  For in my time, it was strictly prohibited.

Apparently, anything is allowed in Hagit’s mind.  (Incidentally, the laws have not changed.)

Would Hagit the-warrior-for-our-enemies’-rights do anything for three kidnapped young Israelis, whose only sin is being a Jew in Judea and Samaria?  A gesture that might prove she is humanely concerned about her own people?

Clearly not!  These are the sons of those she maligns most.  These are the culprits who sprayed her building cursing her (“Price Tag attacks”).  Nobility of spirit will not be found here!

Hagit took me on the tour as her boss at that time, Yariv Oppenheimer, told her to do so, not of a real concern to the Jewish State of Israel or fairness tackling an issue.

Peace Now is an agent of foreign influence and interference, masquerading as a pro-Israel, pro-peace entity, when in reality it is fighting Israel from within.  Much like Hagit’s gaining unrestricted access to Israeli communities throughout Judea and Samaria because she is mistaken for just “any other Jewish Israeli.” Peace Now is doing as much harm as possible.

The fault?  Israel’s.  For Peace Now’s budget streams from overseas, from Jews [Liberal American Jews] and from foreign governments [Israeli Leftist NGOs].  As long as Israel does not prohibit such flows of money into Israel, Israel haters will continue their destructive work from within.

Agents of destruction will not lament three abducted Jewish youths.  Israelis who truly care about Israel and her long-term survival, would use all their contacts, not waste a moment seeking the three boys.

Hagit stopped her car for a “Palestinian” who told us stories (that became more and more impressive as the drive continued) then opened her wallet to give him money.  She is so concerned with our enemies, and already justified anything that she does, that she admitted freely to have helped move people and “things” before, during the Intifada.  I dared not even ask what “things.”  Again, she is not stopped and looks very innocent.

Mira’s Task

I am still awaiting my friends in Americans for Peace Now and the Coalition Against Israel to show me I am wrong:  in deeds, not in words.  To prove that contrary to all appearances, they are first and foremost concerned Americans who really care about Israel, or Israelis who are loyal to their country.

But I expect more of another friend, a Jerusalemite for many years, who lost her first husband Oded in the Yom Kippur War.  She founded an organization called Machsom Watch, to make sure that Israeli soldiers are not abusive to the population (normally it is the other way around, for anyone who is innocent of hate and terrorism, will undergo the inconveniences of having to stop and even be searched, understanding he or she is helping the fight against terrorism, similar to any one of us going through the useless TSA checks).

She knows what it means to suffer a personal loss, and she has proven before she will rise above political differences to do the right thing.

Mira Hermoni, utilize your contacts.  Do not let your eyes close, even if you are tired.  Three young men are missing, two of them are sixteen, one is nineteen.  They committed no crime, other than being Jews in their homeland.

Mira, you and I recognize we have only one homeland for the Jewish people, in the Land of Israel.  We may differ in our approaches and priorities, but we share the same love.

Do your job, for it is your job to protect Israelis first.  As President Peres said:  “We are One Nation.  We are One Family.”  I count on you, for you have amazing contacts within the “pro-Israel, pro-peace” crowd who regularly fraternize with our enemies.  It was you who arranged the tour for me (one phone call to Yariv, and Hagit was my tour guide for the day).

I know you care, and I know you are true to your word.  You must care, for three boys are not guilty of an elusive peace, nor should they be subjugated to the barbaric behavior of our enemies that your friends regularly put on a pedestal (the friends, not the behavior).

The Future?

May Israel wake up and institute a death penalty for terrorists who are convicted in a court of law.

May Israel stop the flow of foreign funds to NGOs masquerading as human-rights organizations that care only about the enemies’ rights, but never Israel’s.

May Israel annex Judea and Samaria, something she should have done decades ago.  If we live to see a peace in our lifetime, Israel has shown time and again that she is willing to make very painful concessions.  Thus, annexation will not be an obstacle, but a catalyst.

I want to add a few more lines, but I realize that none of these wishes can come true until a war that changes everyone’s frame of reference erupts.  It happened in 1939, and six years later, a new reality emerged.

It has to happen in the Middle East, before a New Israel emerges, alongside anyone else who may want to live in peace and prosperity.

Until then, may the three boys not suffer.  May their captors not torment them.  If the Arab-Islamists who abducted them did so to murder them, may it be swift and painless.  If the intention is to keep them as bargaining tools, may the Israeli security forces be successful in finding where they are being held and free them from captivity.

Most realistically, if the murder of the three boys is as gruesome as our enemies usually employ as their “hero’s achievement,” may this be the turning point that will galvanize Israel’s leadership to take actions postponed until now.

Capturing Jews from within Israel must not be left unanswered and unpunished.  Not now.  Not ever.

BDS, Fox Network, Super Bowl and SodaStream

VIDEO: Sorry, Coke and Pepsi. (Uncensored)

BDS, Fox Network, Super Bowl and SodaStream

I’ve been looking at the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) Movement recently spurred on by Ari Bussel (Reality Checkand Background on PM’s European BDS Cabinet Meeting). While I was thinking about how the BDS Movement is disgusting Jew-Hatred by design to award Muslim Arabs that call themselves Palestinians sovereignland of which they have no long standing historical heritage. I noticed a very short news piece on Fox News about a commercial for the Super Bowl marketing a natural soda-like drink from a company called SodaStream. The commercial was initially banned by the Fox Network and then recently Fox decided to show it but in a censored fashion.

Scarlett Johansson sipping SodaStream Beverage 2

The Fox News story was very short but it showed the uncensored version of the commercial. SodaStream found a high-value and well known actress in Scarlett Johansson to be the spokesperson in the ad. Fox News claimed the commercial was banned because of Ms. Johansson said at the very end of the ad:

Sorry, Coke and Pepsi.”

The ad-spot is only about 30 seconds and when shown on TV I saw nothing provocative that should have been censored. Sure Ms. Johansson was gorgeous in a black dress but it was not flamboyant or revealing. The most controversial portion perhaps was when after she made the natural soda she seductively began to drink the beverage through a straw. I thought I had seen ads at the Super Bowl that were more titillating then this SodaStream commercial. Remember theGo Daddy ads and thescantily clad mud-wrestling babes having it out over beer that is less filling or tastes great?

So I had to wonder if the Fox Network really banned the SodaStream video over the antisemitic movement known as BDS. I don’t know about you but the excuse of offending Coke and Pepsi to ban a marketing ad during the Super Bowl seemed pretty lame. I believe the Fox Network initially banned the entire commercial to avoid the multiculturalist Left Wing pressure of the Muslim Arab developed BDS Movement. Of course I can’t prove it, but I also don’t think it is a stretch to wonder. If you haven’t asked yourself for the reason that the BDS Movement is going nuts about a marketing commercial from SodaStream the reason is simple.

The manufacturing portion for SodaStream is not only in Israel, but it is also close to the part of Jerusalem that is on the Judea-Samaria side of Jerusalem after thecity’s conquest by Jordan’s (at that time Transjordan) Arab Legion under the command of British Army Officers in 1949 (particularly Sir John Bagot Glubb). The Arabs claim the belief that Israel reacquired Judea-Samaria (termed West Bank by Jordan) illegally and is occupied land. And the Jewish company SodaStream is in that part of Jerusalem retaken after the 1967 war. In the eyes of Leftists and Palestinian apologists this makes SodaStream an anti-Palestine company.

Scarlett Johansson has been attacked by the BDS Movement via the old pocket book by urging Oxfam to discontinue their eight relationship using her as an ambassador. Oxfam is an anti-povertyNGO that despises Israel for the misguided accusation of being an occupier of Arab land. Ms. Johansson has resigned her tenure with Oxfam. Read this deluded official statement from Oxfam:

“Oxfam believes that businesses, such as SodaStream, that operate in settlements further the ongoing poverty and denial of rights of the Palestinian communities that we work to support.

“Oxfam is opposed to all trade from Israeli settlements, which are illegal under international law. Ms. Johansson has worked with Oxfam since 2005 and in 2007 became a Global Ambassador, helping to highlight the impact of natural disasters and raise funds to save lives and fight poverty.” (Quoted from: Scarlett Johansson Sides With SodaStream, Oxfam Responds With Candid Attack On ‘Illegal Trade’; By REBECCA MERRIMAN; Entertainment Wise; 1/30/14)

To Scarlett Johansson’s credit she disagrees with the pathetic BDS Movement and the likes of Oxfam by releasing her own statement:

“Scarlett Johansson has respectfully decided to end her ambassador role with Oxfam after eight years.

“She and Oxfam have a fundamental difference of opinion in regards to the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement. She is very proud of her accomplishments and fundraising efforts during her tenure with Oxfam.” (Ibid.)

Ms. Johansson further said about the BDS Movement in general:

“[I’m a] supporter of economic cooperation and social interaction between a democratic Israel and Palestine.” (Ibid.)

In a statement quote from HuffPo Ms. Johansson is quoted as saying:

“SodaStream is a company that is not only committed to the environment but to building a bridge to peace between Israel and Palestine, supporting neighbors working alongside each other, receiving equal pay, equal benefits, and equal rights”.

“I believe in conscious consumerism and transparency and I trust that the consumer will make their own educated choice that is right for them.” (Quoted from: Scarlett Johansson’s SodaStream Super Bowl Ad Banned by Fox: Watch It Now! By ALLISON TAKEDA; Us Weekly; 1/28/14 1:30 PM)

This was gratifying to read Ms. Johansson’s disagreement with the criticism of the Jewish Israel Company of SodaStream.

I have a particular interest in the Super Bowl. I have been a Seahawk fan since the franchise’s founding in 1976. I am a Christian Zionist which means I believe Israel has a right to whatever Biblically ordained heritage land they can get a hold of. Also it is more of a truth that refugees caused from Arab invasions of 1948 and 1967 are the fault of the Arab nations that have had a burning desire to destroy Israel’s existence. These refugees should have been the problem of the losers of those two wars not the winner Israel. In that way of thinking the nation now known as Jordan was carved away from the British Mandate for Palestine as the Arab Hashemite Kingdom. Those refugees that were forced to remain in camps should have been matriculated into Egypt and especially Jordan. Those invading nations had no intention of creating an independent Palestinian State. Their goal was to divvy up the Jewish Homeland as the spoils of war.  If there is any kind of BDS movement it should be against the perpetrators of permanent war for the selfish refusal for the Jewish people to return to their ancestral home to be free of global Antisemitism. I’m not holding my breath though. Global Antisemitism is simply reemerging and that benefits the Jew-Hating Muslims of the Middle East.

Reality Check

Omar Barghouti - evil BDS dude 2

Intro to ‘Reality Check’

By Editor John R. Houk

© January 29, 2014

The essay “Reality Check” exposes the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Movement (BDS Movement) as an anti-Semitic movement. The irony of BDS is the amazing amount of Jews and Christians that support it. BDS essentially claims the land more properly called Judea-Samaria (aka West Bank) is to be ignored as part of Jewish heritage and is to be reconstituted as an independent Arab nation called Palestine. Hence Israeli control of the area originally stolen by Jordan in 1948 and recaptured in 1967 is a land of military occupation. The BDS Movement goal is to get nations, corporations, companies, universities, NGOs and individuals to withdraw any investment whether financial or in donation to Israel until Israel complies with the perception that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) end the so-called occupation of Judea-Samaria. Arab Muslims – especially the ones that call themselves Palestinians – not only desires the IDF to leave Judea-Samaria but also for the Jewish State of Israel to end. If you have ever paid attention to Palestinian education and media that means exterminating Jews and turning Israel into a Palestinian State with all Jews exterminated or deported.

The essay focuses on one of the founders of the BDS Movement. This is Omar Barghouti, a Muslim born in Qatar (Wahhabi/Muslim Brotherhood affinity) and an apparent citizen of Egypt who actually earned degrees from Tel Aviv University while simultaneously preaching and teaching hate of Jewish Israelis.

The essay author focuses on responses to Barghouti’s recent speech at UCLA promoting BDS and questioning the right of Jews to exist in Israel. One response is from Roberta Seid, PHD and Rabbi Chaim Seidler-Feller. Seid is a pro-Zionist supporter of Israel and Seidler-Feller is a volatile BDS promoting Leftist Jew (meaning a self-loather). The responses penned by these are “Omar Barghouti at UCLA: A speaker who brings hate” and “Omar Barghouti at UCLA: No to BDS, no to occupation”. As you will read Seidler-Feller’s title is a bit deceptive.

Reality Check

By Ari Bussel

Sent: Jan 28, 2014 at 9:07 PM

“I have often wondered what Jews or decent people could have done to push back against the anti-Semitic propaganda of 1930s Germany,” says my friend, Dr. Roberta Seid, the historian and scientific advisor of Stand With Us.

Seid was describing an event at my alma-mater, UCLA, where the speaker, Omar Barghouti, co-founder of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, was “on the road again with his anti-Israel show and its pack of bigotry and lies.”

I wholeheartedly recommend Seid’s opinion piece, “A Speaker who Brings Hate.”  It is a must reading for anyone who has never attended an anti-Israel event, Barghouti being one of the more poignantly memorable of the pack, albeit not an exception by any measure.

Standing stubbornly against Seid’s piece is UCLA Hillel’s Rabbi, our very own Rabbi Chaim Seidler-Feller.  I must admit I was misled for a second, as I read the opening sentence:  “BDS is poison and Omar Barghouti is its purveyor.” I should have known, even before reading his piece, that this is the same Rabbi Chaim I have known for years, for a leopard does not change his spots.

Oh, Rabbi Chaim is good, very good indeed.  Mid-way through, he repeats the Chorus line:  “BDS is poison and Omar Barghouti is a classic anti-Semite.”  And then he highlights his own achievements, for there is money to be made, long-time supporters he cannot do without:  “What was genuinely disturbing and compelled my verbal protest and walkout,” said Rabbi Chaim, “was Barghouti’s denial of Jewish peoplehood.”  I have news, Rabbi Chaim, our enemies almost without exception deny our very right to exist.

Seidler-Feller then reached the crescendo, showing his magnificent colors, like the feathers of an expanded peacock’s tail:  “We who love Israel and care about her survival have spoken out neither forcefully enough nor lovingly against the occupation” (sic – should have been with a capital “O”) … “we, the Jews, cannot rule over another people.”  And he ends:  “Indeed, BDS is poison, but so is the occupation.  Wisdom, morality, and loyalty to Israel and Judaism demand that we say no to both.”

Rabbi Chaim so easily neglects the wisdom of our Bible, teaching that words have meaning and can transform things into being, as God Himself did when He named all creatures during Genesis.  Using the word “Occupation” is both misleading and hazardous, yet Rabbi Chaim uses it so freely, carelessly, and advocates we stand up in protest to fight for its eradication.

Our real obligation is altogether different, because the Jewish people who live in Israel look at Israel and see a society composed of many diverse elements, but definitely not a homogeneous society.  Among these is a substantial number of Muslim Arabs.  Israelis have lived by the credo that they are equal citizens, with all rights except the obligation of military service.

What we must ensure, as Jews and people who were created in the image of God, is to behave unto others, the foreigner in our midst, the widow and the orphan, the same way we want to be treated ourselves.

Redefine “Occupation” as “living in Israel as part of Israeli society,” and suddenly the BDS-Seidler-Feller worldview collapses.  No more fantasies of a “Palestine” with “Al-Quds its eternal capital.”  No more “Right of Return” of non-Jews to the area between the River and the Sea.  No more wishful thinking of exterminating the Jews and eliminating their presence in their homeland.

It is Seidler-Feller’s frame of reference and vocabulary that are flawed.  So used to self-blame is he, using the word “Occupation,” that he cannot even see how that very approach is racist.  He wants a country with all the Arabs gone, for they, too, like him, hate the Occupation.  In this respect, Seidler-Feller is no different than those who call themselves “Palestinians.”  They want to throw the Jews to the Sea (an independent country where Israel is today, with no Jews), and he wants a country with no non-Jews.  A perfect partnership indeed.

I, an Israeli, a Jew and an American, take offense to your statement of paramount purpose (“Say No to Israel’s Occupation”).  But more so, I lament your position, for it is no different from that of the Jews some eighty years ago.

Dr. Seid, analyze Rabbi Chaim, and you may begin to understand how the Jews of Europe accepted what was evolving before their very eyes, for “Never Again” apparently has not taken hold within our own community deep enough to withstand the test of time. Or perhaps the promise has been sadly forgotten, buried under a sea of Jewish self-hate.

To Rabbi Chaim, Omar Barghouti is a poison because he disturbs the good Rabbi’s make-belief world.  But Barghouti represents the world as it truly is and the true intentions of those who call themselves “Palestinians.”

I direct Seidler-Feller to a non-profit organization called PMW (Palestinian Media Watch).  If he were to follow PMW’s output long enough, after the initial shock and waves of nausea have subsided, Rabbi Chaim may see that “Barghouti’s Poison” is nothing but the mainstream approach of those who call themselves “Palestinians.” There are many of them, those of ’67 and those of ’48, and many others who are along for the ride. I used to get confused but no more:  They are all “under Occupation.”

Lest “the ‘Palestinians’ in their own words” be dismissed as “right wing propaganda,” the following is taken from Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (January, 2014) highlighting the Palestinian’s “Culture of Hatred:”

Incitement and hatred toward Israel, and often Jews as well, is spread by Palestinian Authority controlled television and radio stations, public schools, summer camps, official ceremonies, official speeches and Internet outlets. It is often aimed at children and young people.

Several types of incitement contribute to this problem and severely undermine prospects for peace. These include:

1. The glorification of terrorists who have murdered Israeli civilians. The resulting hero-worship of terrorists justifies past and current attacks, while encouraging future attacks.

2. The denial of Israel’s existence and the delegitimization of a Jewish state in any borders, in part by denying the existence of a Jewish people and its historic, religious and cultural ties to the land of Israel.

3. The demonization of Jews and Israelis, including by the use of anti-Semitic motifs.

4. The inflammatory language of struggle against Israel and “resistance” (often employed as the Palestinian codeword for terrorism) is being widely used by the PA, despite the renewal of negotiations with Israel. The idea that Palestinians must continue the struggle until Israel is replaced by a Palestinian state is a consistent theme. [Editor: Bold print is mine]

For Rabbi Chaim, “The Occupation” likely refers to the West Bank (and possibly, but less likely, to Gaza).  But for the Arabs in Israel, the four million in Judea and Samaria and Gaza and another two million or so who are full-fledged Israeli citizens, the whole area is Occupied, nothing there belongs to the Jews.

The cat is finally out of the bag, and Rabbi Chaim does not like what he hears.  He conveniently casts aside any internal bickering in “Palestine” (who is the real leader – Hamas or PA, Iran or maybe some other factions, terrorists or tribes) and wants to believe that they (our enemies) want peace.  His soft and most sensitive soul cannot bear the severe burn by Barghouti’s revelations.  Undoubtedly, the truth hurts.

Our enemies systematically deny our right to exist.  They erase and contest any connection we may have to the Land of Israel:  The Bible describes events that were never in this geographic area.  The Temple Mount, an invention.  The land, stolen from its true inhabitants.  Those sneaky Jews created, imagined and fabricated what they call “The Holocaust” as a ruse to steal a land that never belonged to them.

Why did you walk out of Barghouti’s presentation?  I actually sat through the whole ordeal several years ago when it was at Loyola Marymount Law School (a campus headed by a Jew).  You must not miss a word and commit it all to memory (as they prohibit any recording devices), or jot it down on paper.  Regrettably, nothing has changed, if anything, the substance has only intensified and became more brazened.

Listen carefully.  Study.  The words are like those branding irons with numbers that will be etched onto your skin for all your days on this earth.  But you chose to leave.  How convenient.  And then you blame us, you put the responsibility on us, and you cast Barghouti as a fanatic, a liar and an anti-Semite.

Barghouti’s efforts must be applauded.  He is a genius at what he does, and the BDS movement is one of the most successful in modern times, in a most sinister manner of course.  He studies for his doctorate at the “Apartheid [Tel Aviv] university in Occupied Palestine” and then spews his venom from within Israel proper.

He could be stopped, even in a democratic country like Israel.  After all, neo-Nazis are not allowed to spew their venom in Germany today.

But he is not much different in so many ways, from many Israelis in the Israeli Academia.  Some of them are called “Post Zionists,” but whatever the label, they are some of Israel’s worse detractors.

If Rabbi Chaim were true to his people and our history, he would have done everything in his power to stop Barghouti’s appearance at UCLA.  He does have power, this Rabbi Chaim, and alongside him stand the Jewish supporters who pour millions into his activities.  He could have mobilized the Jewish students and every person who stands for truth and justice to protest the University and its Regents from allowing such hate speech, against permitting Bargouti from entering the pathways of civilization and hallmarks of education.

But he chose otherwise.  Rabbi Chaim stood and strengthened Barghouti, for they both sang the same song:  The “Occupation” corrupts.  End the “Occupation.”

What is the difference between them and the extent to which they interpret their positions?  Barghouti goes all out, whereas Rabbi Chaim limits his interpretation to the West Bank (and possibly Gaza).

Barghouti calls for BDS, whereas Rabbi Chaim likely would boycott Jewish presence and activities (theater, wineries, etc.) beyond the Green Line.  If not him personally, then many others who claim it is legitimate to boycott wines from Judea and Samaria, but add under the same breath, that BDS is “wrong, horrible, deplorable and must be fought.”

I know several supporters of the New Israel Fund (more correctly the Fund for the New Israel), Americans for Peace Now and J Street who think along these very lines.

I applaud Barghouti’s success, for it is the flip side of our miserable failure.  He fights, and we stand and strengthen his efforts.  Now he can say:  Here, even a leading figure in the Los Angeles Jewry like Rabbi Seidler-Feller supports our just call to end the Occupation!  Jews return to Europe and America, for you have no place in – and no connection to – our land!

Confused?  Do not be.  Next time Barghouti is in town, go listen to his very polished presentation.  Sit and weep, for you will understand how the good, gentle, sophisticated, learned Jews of Europe in the 1930s did nothing.  You will witness how the intelligent and respected leadership of American Jewry in this second decade of the 21st Century is following in these same footsteps.

As my European ancestors walked later to the crematoriums, their lives likely flashed in front of their eyes.  Did they realize what we do not, that they were instrumental in what befell them, for they did not stand with conviction and possess the inner strength to shout:  WE WILL NOT PERMIT OUR ENEMIES TO PREVAIL! [Editor: Bold print mine]
